[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:255260480.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. Comments on Havasupai changes

[edit]

Please see Talk:Havasupai for some comments about the work you've been doing. There are some licensing concerns. -- Moondigger 23:29, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:L 7ba27722bb30f75df7034026d1c2752d.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:L 7ba27722bb30f75df7034026d1c2752d.jpg is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:L 7ba27722bb30f75df7034026d1c2752d.jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 08:45, 30 May 2007 (UTC

Tanner Trail peer review

[edit]

Hi, for your interest: Wikipedia:Peer_review#Tanner Trail. — BillC talk 22:35, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Keep in mind that Wikipedia is not censored, so using that as a sole rationale for deleting images is nto inherently correct. Granted, there was no reason to keep that photo around that you tagged, and it should have been deleted, just pointing it out for future reference. Wizardman 03:55, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nevermind that, Wikipedia has recently been trying to become more censored, so the deletion was probabyl the right thing to do. Wizardman 03:58, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. Its just so unlikely that the image was not copyright, although sometimes nude models/pornstars do allow (usually non-nude) images to be used Jimfbleak 05:58, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Leave No Trace in hiking trail articles

[edit]

Hi Gonzo fan2007, I noticed you added a section on Leave No Trace practices in a number on articles on hiking trails. While I agree these practices should be followed we don't need to add this information to every article on a hiking trail since it provides no specific information particular trails. This information is already linked to from the general articles on hiking and backpacking . I am removing it from the trails articles. I hope you don't mind, Patleahy 18:53, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah i understand, i think ill add it to List of trails in Grand Canyon National Park because i added the Leave No Trace to all the articles on each trail in the Grand Canyon because all those articles link to the List of trails in Grand Canyon National Park. See i created like half of the trail articles and im working on all of them in the Grand Canyon, yet i havent had the time to sit down and complete most of the articles, so i just placed a basic outline on all the artciles based on what i saw on the few articles that were finished. but yeah ill just place it on the List of trails in Grand Canyon National Park and i think that will be good. Thanks for the concern.

Trails template renamed Infobox Hiking trail

[edit]

Hi Gonzo fan2007. I noticed you have the {{Trails}} in your sandbox User:Gonzo fan2007/Test Area. I just want to let you know I have renamed the template {{Infobox Hiking trail}}. -- Patleahy (talk) 18:12, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Brett Favre

[edit]

I marked that user as probably being SW1955; there are pretty clear giveaways in behaviour that suggest the identity. In any event, it it clear from this link[1] that whoever it is has specifically aged the sockpuppet to circumvent the semi-protection of the Brett Favre page. I would revert anything from this user on sight, since the editor has used 'merit of edit' in the past to try to get around the fact that they are still banned from Wikipedia. Skybunny 05:38, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In case you wished to know, a checkuser has been submitted. Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/Starwars1955. Regards, Skybunny 05:11, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You can send the IP to Isotope23, who's investigating. Reference provided; hope it helps. Thanks, Skybunny 21:19, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know why the checkuser/checkip hasn't been done by now, honestly. It's been over a week. I guess it takes time to do. Skybunny 05:27, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please

[edit]

Moved from User's pages
Lets not kid ourselves here, you are obviously and blatantly User:Starwars1955. You have argued the same argument for a very long time with more accounts then what is easily countable. You try and edit the same exact things, over and over again. You ask out of all of us why we do not work on making the Brett Favre article better, by updating stats and the such. Did you ever think that maybe it was because we had to spend time enforcing Wikipedia policy on you? Did you ever think that maybe we lost our time to make constructive edits because we had to search for over 80 sockpuppet accounts made by you? Did you ever think that maybe if you didn't make disruptive edits (I am not trying to put down your edits, they probably are good, but you tend to make more disruptive edits, vandalism, and removing warnings on your many User pages) that we would have more time to keep the article updated? I really hope you understand where I and others are coming from. Wikipedia has policies that we all have to agree with if we choose to edit this cite. We are required to either enforce policy, or make it known to others that someone is violating policy. That is all we are doing. You have disrupted Wikipedia so much that no one has the energy to try and give you anymore chances. I for one absolutely love Brett Favre and the Packers, and I do care about this page, that is why I created the playoff stats (in the table) and expanded the career season stats. I dont understand your obsession with this page, its just a page on Wikipedia. If you truly want to be constructive, try pointing out mistakes or errors on the talk page. Your comments may be removed, but that means someone read it and will probably verify your comments and make the appropriate changes. I really hope you can come to grips with this, I am not here to fight with people, I am here to make a better encyclopedia. That is the point of this whole project. Please respond (if you feel like it) on my talk page as I will not delete it (which is probably what would happen on any other page). Thanks.
Gonzo fan2007 talkcontribs 07:57, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not here to fight either and I don't care if people think I'm a sock or a banned user, I'm not at trial here, and I'm definatly not a banned user or a sockpuppet, and absolutely and definatly not starwars1955. I'm not editing the other pages because I have nothing to add to them, I'm a super packers and Brett Favre fan and all I want to do is improve the page, I'm sorry if we have had trouble in the past, I love, I mean love the stats that you added to the page, it's awsome, I wouldn't have known how to do that, I created the playoff stats section ages ago with the references and when you added the year by year numbers, that was awsome and I added most of the records and milestones ages ago, all I want to do is improve the page, there are incorrect stats that I fixed, I mean no harm, I don't know why you guys are so harsh with me, I've created accounts to edit with because all my original accounts were banned because I got caught up with the starwars1955 thing, just because the only thing I want to edit is Brett Favre. I don't touch he dialog, I added the thing about his surgery this year and corrected some punctuation errors in the past, but that's it, I have nothing else to add though, the edit I made at 3:38 under Brandi Gibson is my last update, other than updating the stats every week, my info is legit and I'm a Brett Favre fan and he deserves for this info to be added, he's worked hard for it and if you guys would just let me add it, I'll be out of your hair other than updating the stats every week, but you'll be on that to so there won't be much for me to do, if I have an idea I could let you know here in your talk page, but I've added all I want to add and I won't be editing other pages. I'm too busy and have nothing to add, but if you will just check my 3:38 edit, that's it, if you want to think I'm a banned person or a sock, there is nothing I can do about it, I'm not and not trying to do anything but update the stats, Brett Favre is one of my favorite people, I qould never harm the page and all I want is my edit from 3:38 to be added, he deserves to have a acurate page, look at the new stat I added on that edit, it has a cit and it's consecutive games played, he's 4th with 243, 3. morten andersen - 248 2. Jim Marshall - 282 1. Jeff Feagles - 308 (But Feagles and Andersen are kickers, low to none rate of getting injured, it's all about does a team still want you with them, the only streak that is current on that is Favre and Feagles). I just want my edit at 3:38 to be added, you can check it yourself, I'm a nice person and want no trouble, I'm being treated horribly and all I want to do is improve the page to the upmost leavel, but your stats addition were awesome, well I'm here if you want to reply, Thanks for hearing me, --4 Brett Favre 08:23, 3 October 2007 (UTC)4 Brett Favre4 Brett Favre 08:23, 3 October 2007 (UTC)--[reply]
I'm going to take a look at things tomorrow because Im tired as heck and need sleep. Believe me I know that you mean well, but sometimes you have to take a diplomatic approach with people. I really dont have anything against you, I basing all my actions on the fact that the community has banned you, which means you cannot edit anything. If you want to email me that stats that need fixed I will be glad to review them and make any necessary changes. Just go to my user page and at the bottom left there is an email me link. Thanks and good luck.

Templates

[edit]

Please take note that templates should not be used if it is purely in use on the one article. Please see WP:TMP, taking note of "Templates should not masquerade as article content in the main article namespace; instead, place the text directly into the article." --DarkFalls talk 08:57, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing it out, I didn't realize that was a rule until you brought it to my attention. My bad. I was looking for a way to lessen the total size of the article, since the tables almost double the length of the article. Is there anyway to do this, I know sub-pages cannot be used, so I really cannot come up with any other ideas. (You can reply here or at my talk page). Thanks.

The things that need corrected are simple, because there is hardly any difference between our versions, instead of using the , with on the stats after they are NFL records, you use Most career whatever: and then the stat now that they are NFL records, those need to be updated and then just arrainge the records and milestones now that they are records, instead of 4 being under Longest touchdown pass 99 yards etc. they should be under Most career touchdown passes, and he doesn't have 2,622 points, it's 2,616, do the math (423 pass tds = 13 rush tds) = 436 tds x 6 points a piece = 2,616, these are the only updates I want to make then I go away forever, compair our two versions, that's the only differences, clean them up, change the , with to Most and then : like the others and arrainge them, I created almost all those stats and all the playoff stats and links, so it's not about that, I just want you to update those few things, compair our two versions, if anybody will fix this , it's you Gonzo fan2007, because you've improved the page with the stats, so anyway this is my last edit, then I'm done forever, I wish you would understand that, I trust everone else to update the stats every week, I don't need to do that, so if you don't let me update this stuff, please fix them yourself Gonzo fan2007, Thanks --500 Touchdowns 05:23, 8 October 2007 (UTC)500 Touchdowns500 Touchdowns 05:23, 8 October 2007 (UTC)--[reply]

Don't spam

[edit]

Hello Gonzo fan2007. I noticed that when I corrected the redirect on the Getting Played page so that someone could fix it, you changed it back so that it would redirect to the Yu Gi Oh! page again, then wrote "Redirect is fine." Please stop spamming and destroying articles. GoldenGoose100 06:58, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

First and foremost please refrain from personal attacks and please assume good faith. I am a hard working editor and just happen to be human and do make mistakes. Please, instead of accusing me, simply explain why your version is right or how I made a mistake, and I will be glad to revert my changes. From what I can see, the redirect is fine, but if you want to explain to me why I'm wrong, please do. Thanks. (Feel free to respond here or on my talk page)
Gonzo fan2007 talkcontribs 07:00, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Is this what you call a personal attack?
Every user on wikipedia can see your wrongful edit of the Getting Played page. So no, I do not want to explain it to you. When someone wants to read up about the Getting Played movie, that's what they want to read, not about Yu-Gi-Oh.
GoldenGoose100 07:08, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
For your reference, I spent some time and figured everything out. The page is created, if you can add anything, please do as long as it is sourced. Sorry for the confusion, but next time you can just come and ask me and Ill always try and help out. Good luck editing!
Gonzo fan2007 talkcontribs 08:00, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you kindly. Take care.

Fair use rationale for Image:Getting Played .jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Getting Played .jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 07:36, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I recently removed a speedy delete tag that you had placed on Image:Yukmouth.jpg. I do not think that Image:Yukmouth.jpg fits any of the speedy deletion criteria because it wasn't given the time to add sources. feydey 14:33, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Florida Tech/COE

[edit]

Hey,

Thanks for letting me know your thoughts. Yes, I do attend there, but it's not like I'm getting money from them for writing anyways. (trust me... I wish I did... haha) I understand the NPOV and COI guidelines and I've been observing them very closely. If you review the work I've done on the main article on the university, you'll see that I have not put any personal favortism or personal POV on things (in fact I've been the one cleaning up some of the NPOV issues)...

The notability issue: it'll be notable probably by the end of the night. I'm working on COE first, if you look at the Florida Institute of Technology article, the Academics section needs major work and I'm trying to deploy the new subarticles one by one. COE just happens to be the first article of six on academics. I'll work on the rest on my Sandbox, as I have done for User:Jamesontai/Sandbox01 for Student Organizations. Regarding the namespace, I didn't know how to label an article as a "sub-article", in fact I don't really know if that's even possible. I've been researching on different universities' individual college pages like (especially for this case): Gator Engineering. The rest of the Florida Institute of Technology article I'm trying to model after MIT and Georgia Tech. I'd appreciate any help in making this work for me. Thanks again! Jameson L. Why is stuff being reverted

[edit]

Hi, this my first wikipedia account, before I just edited with my IP address, but since Brett Favre is protected, I started this new account. Anyway, my edits keep being reverted by a Snowfire51 so I came here to discuss it. I only updated a few things. First, I just moved around the stats a very little bit to have the bigger records like completions, attempts, TDs and INTs closer to eachother. Second, I updated the points scored by a QB to 2,622 to 2,628, he has 425 pass TDs and 13 rush TDs, that's 438 total TDs times 6 points a TD, that's 2,628. Third, I included the number of Lambeau Field TDs, it's 199, if you look at the number 4 link, it states he had 195 TDs at the end of the 2006 season, add the 4 he has at Lambeau this year, that's 199 total. Fourth, I added the yards at Lambeau Field, if you go to the number 67 link, it states that he had 25,765 yards at Lambeau Field at the end of the 2006 season, add the 1,085 yards he has this year at Lambeau and you have 26,850 total yards at Lambeau Field. The other 2 minor things are the First in wins and second in record for most wins regular and postseason combined, well it's just most wins, we arn't going by win percentage or overall record. That would apply to the regular season record as well, because Favre has more losses than Elway in the regular season also, but we are going by wins and then just showing what Favre's overall record is, we arn't going by win percentage or record. Last is the second longest pass in overtime history, that should be a statement in the NFL records section and not in the Favre is closing in on several NFL record section, because it's not something he is closing in on. It's something he has accomplished and should be regarded as a accomplishment, not a record he's closing in on. Anyway my changes are very minor and I've explained them all above, so I don't understand why I'm being reverted by Snowfire51. I don't know if it's because I'm a new account, but I use my IP address to edit other pages, this is the only one I edit that's protected, but I was told to explain my edits in the discussion area and then it would be fine, so I've explained everything above and thank you Gonzofan_2007 for welcoming me to wikipedia, this is my first account and I'm glad to be here and contribute. Packers1992

Other Records

[edit]

Two more records that Favre is approching that could be added to the Favre also continues to close in on several NFL career records section is Most games 300 or more yards passing. Marino is First with 63 and Favre had his 52nd Monday night against Denver, that puts him second place all time ahead of Dan Fouts at 3rd with 51. The number 4 link states he had 48 at the end of the 2006 season, and he has 4 this year and the number 71 link states the stat with Marino at 63, Fouts at 51 and Warren Moon at 49, Favre now has 52. The other stat that could be added to the same section is most consecutive games played in NFL history, not starts which is already listed on the page, but just consecutive games played. First is Jeff Feagles at 312 and counting and second is Jim Marshall at 282, Third is Morten Andersen at 248, Favre will be 247 when he playes against Kansas City Tomorrow, so he stands at fourth at the time being. Because he played in the 2 games before his first start with Green Bay, that's why he will be at 247 consecutive games played, but 245 consecutive starts after tomorrow's game. This stat is listed at http://www.nfl.com/history/randf/records/indiv/service . Morten Andersen's 248 consecutive games played streak was broken in 2002, even though he's still a current player, only Jeff Feagles streak and Favre's Streak are current. It should be noted though that Jeff Feagles is a punter and even though he holds the record, it's mostly considered to be Jim Marshall's at 282, because Jeff Feagles isn't a position player and his chances of getting hurt as a punter is slim to none, and the only thing that prevents a punter from playing would be whether teams want him or not. Anyway, as long as a punter continues to be soughtafter for work, he'll never miss any games. So, I wanted to list those 2 stats that could be added to the Favre is closing in on section because I wanted to pass them by you guys here first and I would post them myself but I never done that before and I don't know how to do the cite web and all that. I've been editing at wikipedia for a while, but I don't know how to do stuff like that, I'm still new when it comes to that stuff. Hope this helps. Packers1992

I reverted his edits because it appears that Packers1992 is another sockpuppet, just like we've had before on Brett Favre. Same edits, same style, same writing style, same inability to sign his posts. If I've reverted a legit edit, I'm sorry, but I wanted you to be aware. Thanks! Snowfire51 04:01, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No, I'm a new account editor and I don't know how to sign posts yet, someone needs to explain that to me, I always edited under my IP address before. I just had a few updates after week 8 to contribute to the page and I posted them and they got reverted twice. So I was told to point them out in the discussion page and then update them. They are in the discussion page under why is stuff being reverted. Packers1992 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Packers1992 (talkcontribs) 05:18, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Gonzo fan2007, could you please stop user Snowfire51, he's harrasing me and putting a sockpuppet message on my 2 account. I's a legit editor that's trying to add a few stats to the Favre page and he says a banned editor tied to do the same thing. I find this hard to believe because I'm just adding some common stats of Favre's and I can't help what someone did in the past. I have nothing to do with that and can Favre's stats never be added because a banned editor tried to add it first. I mean what if Larkworb adds it, is he a banned editor too. Well I'm not and I want him to quit harrasing me so can you talk to him, gosh, I guess Favre's stats can never be added because of you guys reverting everything. This is not what wikipedia is about, this is a serious unjustice. Why don't you guys let me make my edits and contact a administrator to check and make sure I'm not whatever I'm being called by Snowfire51. It will confirm that I'm legit and have nothing to do with whatever your calling me, but I'm going to have to report Snowfire51 for treating me this way. I'm trying to understand what is going on here. So what do you mean things pick right up again. Also, Gonzo, Favre has 427 pass TDs and 13 rush TDs. That's 440 x 6 points a piece is 2,640. Not 2,634. 71.129.234.151 03:31, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Why are you saying that. I'm so lost here. I swear to you I'm not what you are saying I am. Its so frustrating because you won't believe me. Ask a administrator. Please because I just want you to quit saying these things. Packers1992 03:42, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ok thank you I am contacting a administrator because I'm very much a legal editor. I wish Snowfire51 would leave me alone and let me do that. I wish you could check my last edit to the Brett Favre page at 04:13 and confirm my edits and if Snowfire51 doesn't believe me you can add the stats yourself. But I wish Snowfire51 would quit postine sockpuppet messages on my account. I was hoping you could ask him to stop but I'm going to have to get a administrator to do that. Please check my edit to the Brett Favre at 04:13 in the meantime and you can add the stuff yourself if you want to. I'm just updating stats. Adding 2 stats that Larkworb didn't add. Also, just moving around a couple stats so like TDs,INTs,comp, attmps, etc. can be together at the top. Thank you gonzo. Packers1992 04:14, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I do not know what you want me to do. If you want to clear your name then feel free to talk to an administrator and bring your case to their attention. I want you to know that I have not done anything. I very much wish to stay out of this. Unless you have something new please stop sending me messages, if you have a problem with a user, then talk with them. There is nothing between us, so there is no reason that we need to be conversing. Good luck.
Gonzo fan2007 talkcontribs 03:52, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

First you tell this person your staying out of this, then you revert my edit after I take the time to verify and add too it. I will also tell you it's not vandalism, I spent a ong time verifying the additions and cits. Why don't you look at the 03:06 edit of the Favre page and confirm the info and add it yourself then. Because I'm moving on here, I'm not getting into the crazyness on this page and I have other pages to contribute to. I think you'll agree though that Favre accomplishments and reconds and milestones belong on his page, he's earned that. So if your a real cheesehead like you say in another post, then look at the additions and cits and refs that we're added in the 03:06 edit and add them yourself. Because I'm out of here, it's crazy on that page, I've edited a lot of pages and have never seen anything like it. So I'm moving on, I've got other pages to edit. Please do me a favor though and look over and confirm the things on the 169524973 03:06, 6 November 2007 edit of the Brett Favre page and add them yourself, I'm done here. We appear to have another sock at User talk:Teri Aulepp, and also at User_talk:71.129.234.151. Instead of changing the Brett Favre page, they're working at a new page, List_of_career_achievements_by_Brett_Favre. What do you guys think? Snowfire51 01:25, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another Sock, Seeking Admin Protection?

[edit]

Just wanted to give another heads-up on another possible sock of SW1955 at User_talk:Jake_R-12. He started by chiming in on another sock's comments, then sought out protection from an admin who was unfamiliar with SW1955's history. I've tried to explain, his sockpuppet tag has been removed for now but I'm still very wary. We've already knocked down two socks tonight, complete with slurs and threats. Snowfire51 08:03, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re your message: As I explained to Snowfire, while the editing pattern is unusual, I can't comfortably say the editor is a sockpuppet or not. Perhaps I'm wrong. If I am, I'll be the first to admit it and issue the block. But for now, I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt. I can certainly understand you being jumpy about the situation. It's a giant unpleasant mess. =\ -- Gogo Dodo 08:24, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Re your message: Yes, it amazes me too about the lengths that people will go to make a mess of this place. It's rather disappointing. -- Gogo Dodo 08:43, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Re your message: Thanks for the warning. I saw that in the sockpuppet list. Nothing I haven't seen before, though not as creative as my favorite. -- Gogo Dodo 07:16, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I see that the weekend passed without further incidents. Lucky weekend? -- Gogo Dodo 21:08, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re your message: I know what you mean by bizarre vandalism like the copy and paste. I've had similar things done to my user page and I've always been perplexed about why a vandal would choose to do that. I get the lame schoolyard insults, but the bizarre changes mystify me, especially when they come out of nowhere like yours. It keeps this place interesting. =) -- Gogo Dodo 03:45, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not completely sure I'm doing this right.

[edit]

As for your comment, I'm not sure what you are talking about in terms of ip changing. I have a static cable IP address (69.117.247.12), the only thing that changed was I was not logged in for the first edit (I logged in right after). As for the article, I'm not sure how to go about citing a source since it isn't news related. But I know for a fact GHB has been mentioned and featured in Law and Order: Special Victims Unit on many occasions, and it is one of the most watched shows on TV, so it's easy to say that millions have been informed about GHB as a result of the show. If all these other shows which no one has heard of can be listed under trivia without any source, why can't Law and Order: SVU? How do I go about adding it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by TheJoak (talkcontribs) 00:37, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello – thanks for the message. The main reason I did not block was in your message – blocks are preventative, not punitive. I investigate before I act at WP:UAA or WP:AIV – this editor has a grand total of 10 edits and hasn't made any contributions in more than 3 months, so there's nothing to prevent. Besides, Ksy92003 edits mainly baseball articles, while Ksy9200 seemed only interested in Brett Favre, his high school, the receiver who caught his first TD, and his foundation.

If you disagree, you can ask for comments at WP:RFCN, but I don't block inactive users. Thanks again for the message. - KrakatoaKatie 21:58, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for participating in my RfA, which passed with a vote of (47/0/1). The trust bestowed upon me by the community is one of the most touching honours that I have ever received, and I vow not to let you down. Whether you have suggestions for ways in which I could improve, a request for assistance or just need someone to listen, my talk page and my email are always open. Subway stations

[edit]

Hi Gonzo fan2007. Much as it may irk you that public facilities used by hundreds of thousands of people are included on Wikipedia, the "delete any / all subway stations" case has been fought and invariably lost on far too many occasions. It's just one you'll have to get over. Deiz talk 15:35, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I make no reference to Korea or Korean stations in particular, I simply came across these as an ex-pat in Korea who has worked on some of the articles in question. "Coming to the nominator like I am some bad guy trying to delete Korean stuff cause I'm a stupid American who doesn't know that other countries exist is just plain wrong" and "...biased, of being ignorant to the world, etc" are entirely misreading the purpose of my note on your talk page, and in no way reflect my opinion of you or your reasoning. It's just a pointer that subway stations worldwide have been consistently deemed notable in similar debates. Deiz talk 00:00, 19 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a plan to remove and place these 251 templates?--Crossmr (talk) 02:53, 19 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'd just like to thank you for the mature manner in which you ended the subway deletion issue. It's appreciated and I'd also like to thank you for raising the point of how many of the articles are seriously lacking in content, an issue which I have since brought up on the WikiProject on South Korean Geography to try to rectify. I think the next step is to actually go through every policy and guideline and see what else should be added, and if any could/should be left off. - jc37 (talk) 10:14, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah thats a good idea, when I created the template, I chose those policies and guidelines based off of {{Policy list}} and {{Guideline list}} and a few others some people felt were important. I personally think the more, the better, especially on the policy side (we have way to many guidelines to fit all of them on on e template lol) but I think it would be a good idea to maybe make a list on the talk page or something, and then go through and strike the ones that shouldn't be on the template and then we will have a good list of policies and guidelines that can then be integrated into the template. I'm open to other ideas though, what do you think?
Gonzo fan2007 talkcontribs 18:29, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds fine to me. Though I have to admit I don't like the idea of preferring one guideline over another. I think the only criteria, if we did so, would be "common usage" (Some guidelines are very specific to certain situations and as such are uncommonly used), or "sub-guidelines of broader ones" (like MoS/NC ones). I'm also starting to think that perhaps we should split the template into two templates. Though I'm not certain about that as yet. - jc37 21:51, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

First off, I'm sorry, I wasn't sure where to put this message. Please do move/delete it at will. About Brett Favre, I think the only reason I just stuck it in there was because that was how Dwayne Wade's was presented. But that isn't really a reason to do it; its a little strange because right now, Favre has not really won anything else for 2007, since the season isn't over yet. However, I still think its worth putting into the intro in a slightly jarring manner rather than taking out completely, just to match the pages of previous winners. Ideally, we'll be able to find a spot where it fits well. Jairuscobb (talk) 21:33, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Awesome, I think what you have said makes a lot of sense. Also, the fact that Favre is winning this as something of a career resurgence rather than in the midst of his prime makes it hard to pair the sentence with other awards (like when he was just scooping up MVP awards). In any case, I have faith that about a year from now, the detail about his winning the award will find its proper place on the page. And thanks for the advice! I think the sight of the Wikipedia newspaper just made me unsure about where to add talk comments...at the bottom seems to be just fine. Jairuscobb (talk) 22:07, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Request

[edit]

You might want to add a picture to the Green Bay Packers list. Could you also clarify Ref #31? What do you mean by "right to swap"? Also, do you have any draft notes for the early years? I know how difficult it is to find ANYTHING at all from this time period, so it's okay if you can't find anything. From a quick read-through, the Seattle Seahawks list looks good. I think both are ready for WP:FLC. Good work! :) Nishkid64 (talk) 04:49, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It would be absolutely wonderful if we were able to get every single NFL team's first-round draft picks list to FL status. If we got NFL Draft to FA status, then we could submit it to WP:FT. Of course, this will take a long time, and right now, I'm just imagining. Nishkid64 (talk) 04:51, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WP:UAA

[edit]

Hi, thanks for your response. I'm at work right now, so my edits are short and choppy as I can only edit for a minute here and there. According to WP:U, usernames should not be confusing, misleading, promotional, or offensive. I, personally found the username OhGodOhGod to fall under offensive. I would have just blocked the username myself, but I figured the offensiveness of this particular username was debatable. I had not ever heard of WP:RFCN, but I'll take the username there to see what the consensus is. Thanks again. Useight (talk) 00:04, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, I haven't listed an exorbitant amount of usernames at UAA, but I am an admin myself and, know that I think about it, I see what you mean about it having to be more blatant than that -- if I wasn't willing to username block immediately, why would other admins? I guess I'll let this one slide since RFCN only deals with users that have made edits. Useight (talk) 00:22, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

List of Houston Texans (NFL) draft selections
