Med and ME
In good faith, I think you would have to provide a good source to state that the Mediterranean and Middle East theatre of World War II is not the correct article. The British Government's official history (the History of the Second World War) declares that the "Mediterranean and Middle East" (regardless of short hand of either the "Mediterranean theater" or "Middle East theater") was the theater of war, which the article is describing. I.S.O. Playfair writes in the lede to Volume I: that despite the "vast size of the Mediterranean and Middle East theater", covering the fighting in the Middle East, North Africa etc, it "did not appear … [as] a number of neatly separated areas of operations; in spite of the distances it was all one." You are arguing that the two articles are not the same, they are. One is sourced and includes all the relevant detail and context, the other is a shell of an article that is not helpful to the reader.172.96.34.206 (talk) 23:02, 18 March 2019 (UTC)

Yaqoob Salem Eid
Hi, maybe it's better to just ask for the reference before just reverting back, I always do my research before moving a page. this guy's full name is Yaqoob Salem Eid Yaqoob, and I assume you are not familiar with the weird system of Arabic names. you can move the page to Yaqoob Salem or Yaqoob Salem Eid or even the full name Yaqoob Salem Eid Yaqoob, but Yaqqob should remain in first because that's his given name, the rest are father name and father's father name etc. beside that while I understand moving the page back I wonder and I wonder why you removed the categories from the article ? any special reason ? or just lazy to check the edit before reverting ? Mohsen1248 (talk) 23:37, 5 April 2019 (UTC)
- Hello Mohsen1248! Thanks for dropping by. I'm glad you do your research, but you didn't actually provide any evidence to support your edits or the page move. I did a quick search, and both the IAAF and Olympic website, and a Bahraini website "Bahrain's Salem Eid Yaqoob won his men’s 400 metres first round heat" refer to him as Salem Eid Yaqoob. I am familiar with Arabic names, and I know that the order doesn't always follow Western names: it is possible in this case that his known name is Yaqoob AND that Yaqoob comes last in the order of his names. I would be happy to look at other references because the ones you have provided are not adequate. Gaia Octavia Agrippa Talk 00:06, 6 April 2019 (UTC)
