- I restored this, since he was a state senator. please try to verify it. I didn't restore some of the others. Please be a little more selective, and don't start what you can't finish. You are making work for everyone else, that you ought to do yourself. Even I am beginning to get very impatient with helping here. DGG ( talk ) 04:59, 23 May 2021 (UTC)
- @DGG: I call bullshit. "You are making work for everyone else, that you ought to do yourself"? I once again looked at WP:ABOUT just now. It still says that "Wikipedia is written collaboratively". What part of hounding someone to the point of effectively forcing them to do all the work constitutes collaboration? If you read this piece all the way through, you would realize that the most active members of this community have spent twenty years mostly fucking around. "According to one estimate, the sum of human knowledge would require 104 million articles" — in other words, accomplishing only slightly more than five percent of that goal in those twenty years, all the while throwing around the phrase "the sum of human knowledge" as if it actually has any relevance to what's occurred on Wikipedia thus far. I realized a decade ago that I was up against an anti-collaborative community and the odds were stacked against me. Perhaps FA is more stubborn than most editors who have been run off by the anti-collaborative spirit and high-and-mighty editors who engage in class warfare WRT content creation and curation. Have any potentially interested or knowledgeable editors ever been alerted to the existence of these drafts? Based on my many years of interaction with AFC, I would confidently say no. RadioKAOS / Talk to me, Billy / Transmissions 11:24, 23 May 2021 (UTC)

""I think I am among the most willing person here to try to fixe marginal drafts and articles if there is any likelihood of notability . I know I am the most likely person here to postpone or accept FAs marginal drafts and keep them from deletion, or to undelete them for if they've gotten deleted. . I expect to have to do this work for new editors, . Experienced ones shouln't need it. RadioKAOS, I'm not sure you're aware that FA was restricted by the community to placing his new articles in draft space, because when he did it in main space, too many of them were so marginal they would be deleted or at best draftified. The easiest thing to do would be to left hem get deleted as G13s after failure to improve them, and I thin many people would think ti the better way, and I am unduly perpetuating his poor practices by rescuing them. . The community's willingness to accept stubs has required a difficult and continuing battle agains challenges that it is an undue burden on the experienced editors, because thought they can be improved, very often they are not. I've been 15 years now not just defending the general practice, but actually fixing them--Ive rescued thousands.. Tho we work collaboratively, nobody should place that sort of a burden on someone else if they can do better, as indeed FA can when he wants to. Articles develop collaboratively, but someone had to start them, and no individual editor is actually obliged to complete them--most people who can do so, prefer reasonably enough to work on their own articles.
- I find it ironic and upsetting for you to address your complaint to one of the few editors here to actually do what you say people ought to do. Each of us does the work they choose.. You've ben doing very good work keeping articles on your topic areas up to date, but I notice you have never or rarely worked to substantially improve an article in draft space. DGG ( talk ) 11:01, 24 May 2021 (UTC)
- User:DGG thank you for your help. I will look after my drafts as best I can. Pleas work on areas you enjoy and are of the utmost value. I will do my best to handle subjects I've started. For this one as I noted at the top of it I couldn't find substantial coverage. Clearly he's notable but Wikipedians now demand substantial coverage beyond what I was able to find. Thanks again. FloridaArmy (talk) 20:50, 24 May 2021 (UTC)
- As you know, the reason I'm here at all is because some of your work is in areas where I myself have a particular interest having more articles: early American film (especially film made by or intended to appeal to specific ethnic groups) , and Reconstruction-era politicians.
