[edit]Why do you revert my edit on Cadbury chocolate? What was wrong with? Freddo is more known/popular than creme egg. --DangerousJXD (talk) 02:36, 2 September 2014 (UTC)

KFC
[edit]There are still KFC/A&W and KFC/Long John Silver's combos even though Yum! doesn't own those brands anymore. I live less than 15 miles from a KFC/Long John Silver's. Your contributed article, KFC Original Recipe
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, KFC Original Recipe. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – KFC. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at KFC – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.
If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. I, JethroBT drop me a line 20:19, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
Hi Farrtj. It seems like this article largely duplicates information already found at KFC and represents a content fork. I was going to delete it, but it made more sense to create a redirect for now, but were you planning on expanding the content in some way? If so, does it necessarily require its own article? I, JethroBT drop me a line 20:24, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
- I am the main contributor to the KFC page, and I was intending to reduce the content on that page to make it less unweildly. I was also planning to expand the KFC Original Recipe page. If the Coca-Cola formula has its own page then I think KFC Original Recipe certainly qualifies for notability. Farrtj (talk) 20:27, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
- Got it. I'll revert my changes. Sorry about the intrusion. I, JethroBT drop me a line 20:29, 6 April 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of KFC in South Africa
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on KFC in South Africa requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". G S Palmer (talk) 16:38, 7 April 2014 (UTC)

Your unexplained reverts (of referenced information) are not in the spirit of Wiki and are helping spread false information. KFC
[edit]Thank you again for all of your hard work on the KFC article, as I know that you have made many edits to help the content meet the good article criteria on Wikipedia. I think that it fully deserves the good article status, as the content is currently written very well, contains accurate and verifiable information, is broad in coverage with a neutral point of view, and is illustrated with appropriate images.
Incidentally, I am sure that you are aware of the current British television series The Billion Dollar Chicken Shop, but for anybody who is reading this User talk page who is not aware of it, and who might perhaps be interested in the general topic of KFC, the three-part BBC television series goes behind the scenes of KFC. It is currently available for a limited time to UK users on BBC iPlayer. Regards, Kind Tennis Fan (talk) 19:43, 24 March 2015 (UTC)

TWL HighBeam check-in
[edit]Hello Wikipedia Library Users,
You are receiving this message because the Wikipedia Library has record of you receiving a one-year subscription to HighBeam. This is a brief update to remind you about that access:
- Make sure that you can still log in to your HighBeam account; if you are having trouble feel free to contact me for more information. When your access expires you can reapply at WP:HighBeam.
- Remember, if you find this source useful for your Wikipedia work, make sure to include citations with links on Wikipedia: links to partner resources are one of the few ways we can demonstrate usage and demand for accounts to our partners. The greater the linkage, the greater the likelihood a useful partnership will be renewed. For more information about citing this source, see Wikipedia:HighBeam/Citations
- Write unusual articles using this partner's sources? Did access to this source create new opportunities for you in the Wikipedia community? If you have a unique story to share about your contributions, let us know and we can set up an opportunity for you to write a blog post about your work with one of our partner's resources.
Finally, we would greatly appreciate if you filled out this short survey. The survey helps us not only better serve you with facilitating this particular partnership, but also helps us discover what other partnerships and services the Wikipedia Library can offer.
Thank you. Sent by MediaWiki message delivery (talk) at 16:46, 13 April 2015 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Barnardcastleschool.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Barnardcastleschool.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 08:23, 3 December 2015 (UTC)

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Less Than Zero (novel), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Noir (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). [edit]The file File:PSWsignature.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
WP:DECORATIVE non-free use in Paul S. Walsh which fails WP:NFCC#8. Walsh doesn't seem to be particularly noted for having some kind of unique or artistic signature and there's no sourced critical commentary about his signature anywhere in the article about him. So, it's unclear how seeing this signature significantly improves the reader's understanding of Walsh to the degree that not seeing the signature would be detrimental to that understanding.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:20, 31 May 2022 (UTC)

Joey Wat
[edit]Hi. I work for Joey Wat, the CEO of Yum China, which operates KFC, Taco Bell, and other fast food brands in China. I noticed you were a major contributor to KFC in China and have an interest in pages about businesspeople, so I was hoping you might be willing to get involved in the Joey Wat page. The current page is only a few paragraphs long. Also, a dedicated section on awards seems promotional. Following WP:COI, I shared a proposed expanded version for impartial editors to consider that would expand the page. Sincerely appreciated if you can take the time to give the expanded draft an impartial lookover and provide any feedback. Coreyhcooper (talk) 05:59, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
