Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article, or a draft for a Wikipedia article, about yourself, at User:MajorbucksYT/sandbox. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Notable people who have edited Wikipedia). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:K'veon, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Non-free use of File:Gmfualtcover.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Gmfualtcover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the use of the image on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. File source problem with File:Logoantelogo.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Logoantelogo.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 23:04, 5 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Kaniiwho.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a copyright violation and has no credible claim of fair use or permission. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

-- Marchjuly (talk) 21:52, 6 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi EternalBaile. I'm sure you meant well here, but "public domain" doesn't mean "publicly available online" when it comes to image copyright. You might want to take a look at c:Commons:Licensing, c:Commons:Copyright rules by subject matter#Internet images and c:Commons:Own work for some general reference. They're pages on Wikipedia's sister project Wikimedia Commons, but they also apply here. Pretty much any photo you found online should be assumed to be under copyright protection unless it clearly states otherwise or there some other reason under copyright law why it is not. If you find a photo online that you think could be used on Wikipedia but aren't sure about its copyright status, you should ask for help at either Wikipedia:Help desk, Wikipedia:Teahouse, or Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. It's easy to make mistakes when it comes to image licensing, and one or two mistakes is OK. If, however, make the same mistake too many times, a Wikipedia administrator might decide to take action to stop you from doing so anymore. So, it's better to ask for help if you're not sure. -- Marchjuly (talk) 22:02, 6 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:LumiAthena.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:LumiAthena.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 16:23, 22 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Promotional edits and sources

[edit]
Information icon

Hello EternalBaile. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Lumi Athena, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:EternalBaile. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=EternalBaile|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Sam Kuru (talk) 19:53, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I am not being paid for these making articles, I'm just doing this because I'm really addicted to Wikipedia for some reason. I've always had a heart for journaling, since a kid. I used to read a lot of books, sadly I do not anymore but during that time writing and reading were my favorite hobbies. By the way, what is a paid advocate? EternalBaile (talk) 19:59, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Can I actually make money from making articles?? No way. EternalBaile (talk) 20:00, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You're using a large number of paid placement and PR references for the article. You need to be very, very careful with your sourcing, especially when it applies to a WP:BLP. Please slow down and evaluate the sources you are using - if you're not able to discern between vanity press release and actual journalistic materials, it may be a good idea to keep your articles in draft until others can review. Sam Kuru (talk) 23:41, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop uploading copyrighted images as "public domain"

Replaceable non-free use File:Suicidalidol.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Suicidalidol.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file's talk page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 21:20, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi EternalBaile. Non-free images of living people are pretty much never allowed per Wikipedia's non-free content use policy; so, relicensing the file as non-free content creates a new set of problems that are really too much to overcome. Basically, the only type of image of Suicidal-Idol that's going to be allowed to be used for primary identification purposes is one that is released under the type of licensing described in c:Commons:Licensing. Most images found online are licensed in ways that's too restrictive for Wikipedia's purposes by their copyright holders; so, unless the copyright holder of the image, who is typically the creator of the image, explicitly states they're releasing the file under one of the free licenses that are "free-enough" for Wikipedia's purposes, the image in question most likely can't be uploaded and used. Even if it doesn't say it's copyrighted, it's going to be assumed to be because the copyright laws of most countries automatically grant copyright protection to any image as soon as it's "published" in some sort of tangible medium (print, online, video, etc.).
You can if you want try to get copyright holder WP:PERMISSION so that an image of a living person can be uploaded and used, but there's no guarantee the copyright holder will give their permission. You also need to be careful of images posted online because only the copyright holder can release their work under the type of licensing needed by Wikipedia. Lots of people upload copyrighted content created by others to social media or other websites, but this doesn't make these uploaders the copyright holder. In this case that's not a issue because the photo is clearly a selfie taken by Suicide-idol, but you still should be careful when it comes to uploading images found online.
In addition to the aforementioned licensing issues, this image also has encyclopedic issues that are probably too hard to overcome. The purpose of the infobox image of a Wikipedia article is to primarily identify the subject of the article for readers of the article. There doesn't seem to be much encyclopedic value in using even a freely licensed image of Suicidal-Idol if their face is going to be completely blocked out. Such a photo might be seen as cool for social media, but Wikipedia isn't social media. Image use on Wikipedia is still subject to WP:CONSENSUS, and Wikipedia isn't required to use images that have very little or no encyclopedic value regardless of how they're licensed. So, if you're thinking about reaching out to Social-idol and asking for permission to use one of their photos, it would be better to ask for one in which their face can be seen instead of something like this. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:33, 28 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Notice

The article Suicidal-Idol has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Sources are almost entirely user-generated content, self-published, or non-independent. Few to no sources to establish independent notability of artist. Will include source analysis below.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. benǝʇᴉɯ 20:07, 28 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
