Thanks for the smile! :D delldot talk 21:59, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
- Hi again, I assume you're talking about this edit? You're right, the page had been vandalized earlier and I only noticed the later vandalism that I reverted. I admit, I don't always look closely at the page or the history when I revert, since vandal-fighting is kind of fast and furious at times. Though I will usually compare my revert with the last revision by someone with a username if I've reverted to another IP's version since most vandalism is by IPs. Guess I just didn't notice that the last user was a bot in this case. Anyway, thanks for the heads up, I've fixed it now. delldot talk 23:12, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
Re: Ribbon
Oh, I'm sorry - I usually do copy my replies to other pages. Just to keep you up to date, I'm about to head to dinner - once I'm back, I'll get to work on the ribbon. Until then, Hersfold (t/a/c) 22:46, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, the ribbon is done at last! Here you go: Enjoy! Hersfold (t/a/c) 00:49, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks, Delta. It's really not a big deal - designing these images is something I enjoy doing, and the way I have my ribbons set up it's not that much work either. Still, it's an honor to have my services requested. Thanks again. Hersfold (t/a/c) 03:15, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
DC Meetup on May 17th
Your help is needed in planning Wikipedia:Meetup/DC 4! Any comments or suggestions you have are greatly appreciated. The Placebo Effect (talk) 19:39, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
Please consider joining the working group for the WMF DC Chapter
Please consider joining the working group for the WMF DC chapter. Since we have a very active and very community oriented DC/MD/VA area group of Wikipedians, it only makes sense to develop it as a chapter, especially given the recent changes to the Board of Trustees structure, giving chapters more of a vote. Hopefully we will be either the first or the second officially recognized US Chapter (WMF Pennsylvania is pending as well), and hopefully our efforts will benefit WMF Penn as well. Remember, it's a working group, and this is a wiki, so feel free to offer changes, make bold changes to the group, and discuss on the talk page! I hope to see you there, as well as Wikimeetup DC 4 if you're attending. ⇒SWATJester Son of the Defender 16:47, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
Discussion about the next DC Meetup
Greetings! You are receiving this message because you said you wanted to be reminded about future DC meetups on Wikipedia:Meetup/DC_4. We are planning the next DC meetup in late August/early September at Wikipedia:Meetup/DC_5, and would love to have your input. Staeiou (talk) 15:21, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
Revert of article, Emergency
I reverted the article for some reasons but mainly it is not written in proper English (example, "insolvent company"). Also, it is quite an eyesore. I know that you are someone who can write in English, but you may take the translation and re-write it to fit your specifications. Any comments, reply to the topic on my talk page (to be informed). --Syed 13:47, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

For your keen-eyed diligence, and other unspecified assistance, with new article creation
The Invisible Barnstar | ||
For your keen observation that the Her Fearful Symmetry article was created without a whole lot of content, and your timely call for other editors to generate some! Well done! Wikiscient 16:55, 11 October 2009 (UTC) |
- Thank you for the barnstar!
- To be honest, I had considered nominating that article for deletion becuase it had a lack of content. But I decided that it was legitimate, and now it's on its way. Thank you again, and take care! --Delta1989 (talk) 18:15, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
- LOL, np! ;)
- The truth is, though, I did go to the trouble to pull together the content for the infobox with which to get the article started -- thanks for encouraging the addition of a "summary" and other information, though, and please by all means feel free to contribute further to the article yourself! :)

Wakefield City High School
I don't think anyone's contesting maintenance of articles relating to schools. The problem is that the content of the article was apparently lifted verbatim from here, which is a violation of WP:COPY. Alan (talk) 18:34, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
- I agree. The issue is not the school's actual inclusion on Wikipedia; it's the fact that the text was a blatant plagiarism/copyvio of the school's website. Each week I delete dozens of copyright violations and spam/promotional articles, because we don't need that content existing publicly, or in revision histories. It doesn't mean that the topic isn't possibly notable, so you're welcome to recreate the article. JamieS93 18:57, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
Thanks
... for taking the time to comment on the talk page of Old Dixie Seafood. NancyHeise talk 02:40, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
- It's really no trouble. I decided to patrol newly created pages and happened to notice the tag. Your article seemed well written and well cited, and the sources you had gave the article a good level of notability for the article. I hope the speedy delete tag comes down. --Delta1989 (talk/contributions) 02:43, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks, I would not have created it if I didn't think it was notable. I guess since it is more of a local notability others might feel otherwise. I understand. I appreciate your diligence and I enjoyed reading WP:Chance. Wikipedia is a neat place, I am always finding interesting new things here. NancyHeise talk 02:46, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

Hi, Could you leave a reason when declining PRODs? cheers -- Pontificalibus (talk) 21:40, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
- When I edited the article, the PROD tag was, for some reason, removed already, though it did not show in the history. This was probably a problem with my computer, and I understand my mistake. It's my understanding now that the article is in the process of a speedy deletion, and I believe that this is the right course.
- I'm on kind of a speedy delete spree right now, while going through the new pages, so I'm suprised at myself for this. Thanks for catching the mistake. --Delta1989 (talk/contributions) 21:45, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

- no problem, thanks for clarifying. --Pontificalibus (talk) 22:00, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Lawrence A. Husick
Hello Delta1989, and thanks for your work patrolling new changes. I am just informing you that I declined the speedy deletion of Lawrence A. Husick - a page you tagged - because: Fellowship is significant. Please review the criteria for speedy deletion before tagging further pages. If you have any questions or problems, please let me know. Skomorokh, barbarian 13:16, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks for telling me. (I kinda went a little crazy with the speedy deletions.) I'll try to searate the possible startup articles form the fanpages and vandal articles. --Delta1989 (talk/contributions) 19:03, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
- No worries – if in doubt just slap a PROD on it. There's some good advice at Wikipedia:Field guide to proper speedy deletion and User:SoWhy/Ten Commandments for Speedy Deletion. Thanks for volunteering :) Cheers, Skomorokh, barbarian 19:06, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

Speedy care, please
Delta, we appreciate your efforts to improve the encyclopedia. However, you ought to be very careful when applying speedy deletion templates. In the case of Living dead girl (novel), you first applied "db-notable" to the article--but that isn't a valid CSD category. Then you changed to "db-a7," but that specifically does not apply to books, and the article was a book review (albeit a bad one). In fact, the author had said, at the bottom of the article, that the review came from goodreads.com, and that is where I found it. I have changed the deletion template accordingly, but wish to remind you that we should be careful with the speedy deletion templates. Thank you, and happy editing, Drmies (talk) 03:05, 18 November 2009 (UTC)

Nickelodeon 3d Movie Maker 2
It doesn't meet any speedy deletion criteria. The other two were speedy deleted as hoaxes. This isn't a hoax article. Joe Chill (talk) 02:42, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
