[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Mariah Carey, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. ----Rdp060707|Let's discuss about the plans 06:52, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Deibu2007! Your additions to Butterfly (Mariah Carey song) have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. (CC) Tbhotch™ 19:55, 16 September 2021 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for October 24
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Whitney Houston Live: Her Greatest Performances, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Amazon. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:16, 24 October 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Consensus about sales
[edit]Hi Deibu2007. Just letting you know that the consensus is to add pure sales figures to certification tables with a reliable source even if they are much lower than the certified amount. You are repeatedly removing these sourced sales figures which is against consensus. However, I don't care enough about this to revert you again, let whomever cares deal with it. I just corrected your usage of the {{Certification Table Entry}} template - there is no need (or indeed it is wrong) to add sales figures to that template if they are not from a pure sales reliable source. --Muhandes (talk) 14:07, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
Regarding your chart edits
[edit]So, a few things:
- Before adding any more charts to Whitney Houston songs, please go over WP:USCHARTS, which lists the charts you shouldn't add if the song appeared on another chart. Said charts include Radio Songs, Adult R&B Songs, R&B Airplay, and Digital Songs, which you have been adding.
- Likewise, please do not create chart tables with large ranges such as 2001–2012. This makes it confusing and can sometimes invoke WP:USCHARTS involuntarily, such as what you did here. Creating separate tables for different charting periods prevents this. For example, on The Reason (Hoobastank song), keeping the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs separate means that users won't be tempted to remove the Alternative Airplay and Mainstream Rock peaks, which were the main rock charts at the time.
- Please keep template formatting consistent. I see you adding up to three whitespaces sometimes, which I don't understand when the rest of the templates have zero whitespaces.
I suggest going back through your contribs to remove any charts in violation of WP:USCHARTS I may have missed and also to re-alphabetize any tables I reverted. Respond with a ping if you have any questions or concerns. ResPM (T🔈🎵C) 00:32, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
