Melodrama (Lorde album) x2

Hi De88; during my c/e I've added a few {{citation needed}} templates, some of which I see have been dealt with, where I couldn't find a citation. I've also removed the final two paragraphs from "Grammy awards" because it is off-topic and not suitable for the article, which is about Melodrama rather than 60th Annual Grammy Awards or Politics in the music industry. Please see the article's talk page for my extended comments. I hope the c/e has been useful. Cheers, Baffle gab1978 03:21, 28 April 2018 (UTC)
Thank you so much. I see the article needed a lot of fixing. My apologies for that. Didn't realize there was a lot to fix. I do have one question: A user moved descriptions of the album's sales from reception to the release and promotion section. I used this article (which is at GA-status) as a guide when writing the Melodrama article. When there isn't much to write about an album's commercial reception, it should typically be merged with the critic's reviews, right? De88 (talk) 03:58, 28 April 2018 (UTC)
No worries; I've enjoyed working on this article. The lower sections, as usual, needed the most work. To answer your question as best I can: I don't think there's a hard-and-fast rule about where prose about sales should go. I'm not familiar enough with the guidelines to comment and I can't find anything specific to sales on Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Music or Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums/Album article style guide. Many album articles have 'Sales', 'Chart performance' or 'Commercial reception' sub-sections inside the 'reception' section; it does seem to be the norm to put them there. The text about sales of Melodrama, however, seems fine and well integrated in the 'release and promotion' section, though do feel free to move it if you feel it should be elsewhere. The example you give includes sales figures of singles in the 'Singles' sub-section. Cheers, Baffle gab1978 04:46, 28 April 2018 (UTC)
The article took me about 3 months to write. I did it in portions as I was really busy during those months. I'll go ahead and move that portion. Hopefully no one will start a debate with me on this. I forgot to mention but I agree with you removing that portion of information from the "Grammy Awards" section. When I was writing it, I noticed that it steered away from the main topic of the album but I did not know where to place it on Lorde's main page or on the Grammys page. I pretty much had a dilemma on that. Again, thank you so much for this needed c/e. The article flows much nicer now. De88 (talk) 20:32, 28 April 2018 (UTC)
Thanks, De88; the removed text can be added to the appropriate article as-and-when it's needed. I hope the new GA review goes well for you. Cheers, Baffle gab1978 01:31, 1 May 2018 (UTC)

Re: Lorde

Hey there! I'd be happy helping out with FA mentorship. The first thing to do is compare the article you're looking at nominating to another featured article. Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga are apt comparisons. I'm going to break down the Lorde article into the sections, and what needs to be improved (in my opinion).

Lead
  • Right in the first sentence, I see some extraneous information - who holds both New Zealand and Croatian citizenship. You want the reader to keep reading, not to be bogged down by technicalities and add-ons. The citizenship should come later in the lead. With the current wording mentioning New Zealand and Croatia, I have no idea where the following sentence happened - Born in the Auckland suburb of Takapuna and raised in neighbouring Devonport - this could be NZ or Croatia for all I know.
  • I would include why she chose the stage name "Lorde" in the lead. That's useful, interesting information, especially to someone who might not know much about her.
  • she became interested in performing as a child - interest isn't too exciting in a biography. Did Lorde start performing as a child? If so, say that, although from the "Life and career" section, I can't tell if she ever performed before the age of 13.
  • "Royals" was released as Lorde's debut single in mid-2013, becoming an international crossover hit reaching number one in many charts, making her the youngest solo artist to achieve a number-one single on the US Billboard Hot 100 since 1987. - great fact, and great way of establishing notability, but you should indicate here how old she was (17, right?) - when you add that in, make sure you split up the sentence. becoming an international crossover hit reaching number one in many charts isn't the cleanest grammatically, so take care on improving the prose.
  • yielding the additional top-ten single "Team", it topped the national charts in New Zealand and Australia and reached number three on the US Billboard 200. - did the album or the single reach #3? Wording ambiguity can turn off readers, so it's better to be specific.
  • The following year - any time you're starting a new paragraph, it's good to re-emphasize the year.
Life and career
  • Lorde was born Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O'Connor - since she wasn't using the stage name at birth, just use her given name when indicating when she was born. This is how it was done in Lady Gaga's article.
  • At that same time, Lorde was attending Vauxhall School and later Belmont Intermediate School. - you start out with "at that same time", but you add a "later". Find a way of writing this sentence without the time-traveling verbiage
  • Her mother encouraged her to read a range of genres, which Lorde cited as a lyrical influence: "I guess my mum influenced my lyrical style by always buying me books. She'd give me a mixture of kid and adult books too, there weren't really any books I wasn't allowed to read. I remember reading Feed by M.T. Anderson when I was six, and her giving me Salinger and Carver at a young age, and Janet Frame really young too." - that's a really long quote to throw in the middle of a paragraph. Check out Lady Gaga's article, which also has a quote explaining musical influence.
  • Lorde played netball at a young age alongside Vauxhall classmate Eliza McCartney, who later became an Olympic bronze medallist pole vaulter. - is this necessary?
  • On 13 August 2009, Lorde and McDonald were invited in for a chat on Jim Mora's Afternoons show on Radio New Zealand. - I'm not a fan of "invited in for a chat". Could you find a better way of wording that?
  • Link The Love Club EP. Also, In November 2012, Lorde self-released the record entitled The Love Club EP, through her SoundCloud account for free download. - maybe find a way of saying "Lorde self-released her debut record" or something. Emphasize that it was her first release.
  • and had sold 1.33 million copies by 2014. Worldwide, Pure Heroine had sold 1.5 million copies by the end of 2013. - it's 2018, so the "by 2014" and "by the end of 2013" are pretty useless to the reader. Just say how many overall copies it has sold (over 3 million according to the album's article).
  • Late that year, she started a relationship with photographer James Lowe. - are they still together? This is his only mention in the article
  • According to Billboard, Lorde said she had been writing new material since December 2013 - already mentioned in the previous section
  • published a date of 3/7 under "Confidential Title" that revealed her anticipated sophomore record, which was later cleared by the label - the date formatting is weird, doing 3/7 when the rest of the article is "7 March"

That's it up through the "Artistry" section. Let me know if you have any questions about any of my comments. The article is in decent shape, but it needs some spiffying up to be an FA. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 15:19, 1 June 2018 (UTC)

I moved around some information and used all your suggestions. I do not have questions regarding your comments but I do have a question concerning Lorde's impact in pop music. I feel that a section detailing her impact should be imbedded in her article, I just wonder if it may be a bit controversial to add said section. De88 (talk) 06:19, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
I refer you to Lady Gaga#Impact. I'll get around to copyediting the rest of the article, a bit busy at the moment, but I hope you found the suggestions helpful. Once you add in the impact section, do you think you'll plan on adding any new sections? ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 02:29, 3 June 2018 (UTC)
Your suggestions were very helpful. The article already flows better. As of now, I do not plan on adding any more sections. I do think most of her information is already embedded in her article. It was just the Impact section that I thought was long overdue. De88 (talk) 09:09, 3 June 2018 (UTC)
Rest of article
  • That is a lot of influences. Are all of those artists really considered "influences" or are they merely what Lorde listened to?
  • Talking about her collaboration with Joel Little, Lorde said that Little's refining of her "raw potential to end up with [the music]" was one of the best aspects of him.[4] She also views Little as "the only one who was working with electronic music in the way [she] was interested in at the time".[119] Lorde details that her songs are shaped by her lyrics, which she felt as a "more cohesive way of working." She said, "I tend to start with lyrics – sometimes the seed of a song will just be a word that I thought was rad, one that summed up a particular idea I'd been trying to pin down."[4] Nonetheless, she points out that the songwriting process of "Tennis Court" was different to how she normally writes a song: the lyrics are built on the instant music and beat. - could you rewrite this to avoid using so many quotes?
  • further explaining that "Lorde has introduced herself to the world as someone who gives very few fucks." - while I love that line, I don't think it's needed for the article, and the sentence was fine before that.
  • Her music is noted for the manner in which its view of pop culture is contrasted with that of her contemporaries, such as Miley Cyrus and Rihanna. - this sentence reads poorly. Could you give it another go? It's just a little awkwardly written.
  • In general, the Public Image section seems a little aimless. Again, I don't think you need so many quotes. Compare it to Taylor_Swift#Public_image, which is more succinct.
  • I think the "controversy" section could be trimmed a bit and put into an eventual "Impact" section, since it only speaks of the canceled Israel concert and the then-upcoming Florida performances. Your call on that front, but it just seems a bit too specific on one event. Granted, I'm not a Lorde expert, I don't know how important that controversy is to her career, but it just seems a little out of place (unless she has other controversies).

All in all, the article is in pretty good shape, and generally well-written! You should be proud of the work you've done. When you think you're ready for FAC, let me know, and I can give you pointers for maximizing your chances for success. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 21:49, 3 June 2018 (UTC)

Thank you! While all the work is definitely not mine, I did contribute a significant amount of time fixing it. I do have several questions though. First, you mentioned that there were too many artists listed as her influences. I will say that reading through the citations made me want to keep them there as they appear. To be frank, they all serve as inspirations for her two records. Lorde has a very eclectic inspiration board. Regarding the controversy section, I did suggest to trim it down as well since it is a rather large section centered on just one issue. Plus, while the issue itself garnered some media attention, it certain is not enough to call for this much information. A user argued with me with keeping the information as it appears which just highlights how controversial and sensitive it is to tweak the section. My plan is to move everything to Melodrama World Tour, where it rightfully belongs and leave the main points on her main page. After that, I plan to include information for her Impact section that I am working on. De88 (talk) 11:27, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
It sounds like you have a good plan. Regarding the influences, yea, you're probably good. That's probably a good plan moving the controversy to the tour section - it could get a brief mention under the "2016–present: Melodrama" section if you wanted to mention it somewhere in the article, but not in such detail. When you're ready to put it on FAC, make sure you spread the word about the candidacy to other users who might be interested in reviewing the article (such as other musician editors). It's good to review other FACs and casually mention your FAC. Asking people to support your article is canvassing and isn't allowed, but there's nothing wrong with asking reviews, as you asked me. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 21:15, 4 June 2018 (UTC)

Lana

Your work on Lorde's Wikipedia is just brilliant! I'm amazed at your endurance. How about to do the same with Lana's Wiki? I should be very glad it, really. Btw I'm Lorde's fan too! Best regards! Reylanno (talk) 16:48, 29 June 2018 (UTC)

Thank you! Unfortunately, I do not think I can weasel my way into Lana's articles. Frankly, I am not very well-informed with her as an artist or person. You should consider requesting a copy-edit for her article. It could definitely give you a better chance at getting it to GA-status. De88 (talk) 17:17, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
It's a pity. I guess that work on Lana's albums and songs articles could confirm your status as one of the most useful persons in Wiki Music Project. But it's your choice. You don't need to be well-informed in her bio- and discography cause you're writing so brilliant articles and you could easily manage with it as well. Reylanno / @ 20:40, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
Don't be fooled. Working on Lorde's articles took me months. I'd say it was approximately a 7-month work process to get every article to GA-status, minus the ones that were already good when I began editing. You really have to know the artist to elevate the article. I have seen some users who simply fill in spaces just for the sake of filling in, not actually providing substance and quality to it. And I'm afraid I simply don't have the knowledge or the passion to dive into them, unfortunately. Surely there should be someone out there who would be eager to edit or review them for you though. Good luck! De88 (talk) 23:23, 29 June 2018 (UTC)

Lorde

Hi, can I know exactly why you have erased my references?? It took me hours to get them!! Can you please appreciate other people's contributions and time rather than trying to get an article that only expresses your wishes?? Have a look at them, at least first. That's the least you can do. I've spent more than 3 hours of my life to get a well-referenced article and then you erase as if it as rubbish. Wikipedia is decaying and maybe you can tell me why... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hadriensaori (talkcontribs) 17:12, 15 July 2018 (UTC)

Hello, I reverted your edits because it clearly states that you need to seek a discussion and gather a consensus before you add or remove genres. Look, I would be happy to add "alternative" to Lorde's genre, as that is how music critics label here. However, the term is very subjective and it has caused controversy in the past. Also, it took you 3 hours of your life to gather these sources? How about 6 months literally re-writing the entire Melodrama article, failing the first review, gathering a peer review, making more edits, submitting another review and waiting three months for it to finally pass? If anyone has put more dedication into Lorde's articles, it would be me. I tried adding "synth-pop" to her genre (on the Melodrama article) and my edits were reverted. If that didn't go through, I doubt "alternative" would be accepted. De88 (talk) 17:19, 15 July 2018 (UTC)

Alternative is not a wide concept, not wider than any other genre. If you click on alternative, you can read what this genre is about. I'm not mentioning only one source, but at least 5 or 6. I don't think is fair to erase the whole research again. If we let aside the genre information, why did you also erase my comments in the section Awards? I added a source to several awards she won and best Rock video, etc. Why are they also deleted? Lastly, exactly what kind of consensus do you ask for? I'm not the only one in the talk section asking for Alternative to be included, isn't that consensus? How many people agree that Pop is a good tag for Lorde's Melodrama. Honestly, Wikipedia turnt a long time ago into a one sided perspective, which empoverishes articles and supresses reader's liberty to read documented information. I think from now on, I'll strictly limit my time to sources where my time is appreciated and not places where I find that my time is wasted. It is a pity, but this is the sad and cruel reality.--Hadriensaori (talk) 21:20, 15 July 2018 (UTC)

Alternative can mean so many things. R&B, pop, rock, country, etc. It is in fact a wide concept. Using "alternative" to cite the album's genre would re-direct you to "alternative rock" which the album is clearly not. I removed the information you added in the Awards section because it was already mentioned in the paragraph. There is no need to be so specific about what awards Lorde won in her main page when her Awards page has all those details. That section should be reserved for just a succinct summary that will lead the reader to read in further detail the specifics of those awards. If we start to mention every award word-for-word, then the section becomes too much of a cluster. You asked for a consensus over a year ago though and you had several users oppose the addition of that genre. Pop may not be the best tag to describe the album but that's what almost every critic called the album. From what I researched, the publications that explicitly called the album "alternative" were either very few, obscure and mostly referred it to her not the album itself. All I am trying to do is maintain the article. It took me a long time to get it to look the way it does now. I also told you to refrain from citing the references on the infobox. That is not allowed. De88 (talk) 21:38, 15 July 2018 (UTC)

Writer in the Dark

Hi De88, I've added a {{citation needed}} template at the end of the "Background and development" section because I couldn't find where the final sentence came from. It's only a minor point and you can remove it if you feel it's not needed. Good luck with your planned GA nom. Cheers, Baffle gab1978 02:12, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
No worries. She mentioned this in a podcast interview but I forgot to cite it next to the sentence. Thank you for the copy-edit! De88 (talk) 02:13, 21 July 2018 (UTC)

Royals (song)——

Hello:

The copy edit you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article "Royals" (song) has been completed.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

I notice you are intending to submit the article for an FAC review. I will be interested to see whether there are any comments on the article's length. At close to 6,000 words it seems overly long to me. In the Covers and media usage section it appears that every cover contributors to the article could find has been added. Some of them are significant, others likely are not. Perhaps that section can be pared down. The same is true of "Royals" inspiring other artists—many who had established careers long before the song was released. Again, some are more important than others so perhaps this could be shortened somewhat? Just a thought.

Best of luck with the FAC when you get to it.

Regards,

Twofingered Typist (talk) 18:50, 13 August 2018 (UTC)

@Twofingered Typist: Thank you again for this copy-edit. I know you revised the article several months ago but I went in and added more info since then and wanted to make sure everything was good to go. I will definitely trim down the covers and media usage section. It used to be longer but even then, it still needs to be compressed. I also agree that the impact section tends to run too long for what it really needs. De88 (talk) 08:13, 15 August 2018 (UTC)

I wanted to leave you a barn star to congratulate you on all of the work that you have put into the Lorde article. You inspire me a lot to try to become a better editor (I still have a very long way to go with that ><). Just wanted to let you know that it is all appreciated! Aoba47 (talk) 02:55, 15 August 2018 (UTC)
@Aoba47: Wow, thank you so much! I had no idea other users kept up with my work on Lorde's articles. It took months of hard work but I am so glad that the majority of her articles met the GA-criteria, especially since her albums are too good (in my humble opinion) to not have information embedded in them. You'll get there. When I first started, I had no idea how to nominate an article, let alone find a proper way to make the information flow well. It helps to use articles on the same subject (i.e. album or song pages) that already have a GA-icon as a rubric to guide you. Good luck! De88 (talk) 08:18, 15 August 2018 (UTC)

@Gius mendoza: Hey, I too have tried to find a picture of higher quality for Lorde's main page. Unfortunately, there are not many pictures that are free to use on this domain. I know there was a user who was willing to email someone a higher quality picture of Ella to those who could upload them here. I volunteered but the user never got back to me. If you do happen to come across some free pictures, I'd be more than happy to upload it for you. De88 (talk) 07:35, 25 August 2018 (UTC)

Third time's the charm

I edited the fact about "Talkin' John Birch Paranoid Blues" so (hopefully) it no longer violates copyright policy - would you kindly review over the fact? Thanks for your kindness!MagicatthemovieS (talk) 04:07, 23 December 2018 (UTC)MagicatthemovieS

@MagicatthemovieS: I just took a look at the copyvio detector and unfortunately, the violation rate just up from 86.4% to 88.9%. That is extremely high. The article looks really nice but there is just one source that is preventing this from passing the review. I would suggest to took a look at the article, paraphrase any quotes or information taken. Wish you luck! De88 (talk) 05:49, 23 December 2018 (UTC)
De88, I looked at the article; it was published in 2014. Look at this revision of the Wiki page from 2013 - https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Talkin%27_John_Birch_Paranoid_Blues&oldid=571298306 - clearly, the stupid blog that is giving us trouble plagiarized this website, not the other way around. We shoud be free to go!MagicatthemovieS (talk) 13:12, 23 December 2018 (UTC)MagicatthemovieS
@MagicatthemovieS: I will reluctantly pass the review. However, I only wanted to make sure everything was right as I do not want to get in trouble with another administrator. I think the article is superb and you have worked on it; I recall this happening to another user who experienced a similar issue! De88 (talk) 19:48, 23 December 2018 (UTC)

Melodrama World Tour

Thanks for your work on this article! I'm trying to remember if this was the last article needed for the previously-nominated Good topic to be nominated. Either way, keep up the great work! ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:24, 28 December 2018 (UTC)

@Another Believer: It was actually Pure Heroine that was previously nominated for Good Topic. I worked on both articles extensively over the past couple of weeks. I think the Melodrama World Tour has a greater chance at passing the Good Article nomination. De88 (talk) 23:22, 28 December 2018 (UTC)
Ah, yes, thanks for the reminder. ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:37, 29 December 2018 (UTC)

Congrats on GA status for the tour article. Does this mean the Good topic may be complete? ---Another Believer (Talk) 19:47, 23 January 2019 (UTC)

@Another Believer: Yes, it is complete and I submitted a second archive that is currently awaiting consensus on the Good Topic nomination page. De88 (talk) 23:33, 23 January 2019 (UTC)
Oh, great! Thanks. ---Another Believer (Talk) 23:40, 23 January 2019 (UTC)

Hello De88,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Featured topic candidates/Pure Heroine/archive2 for deletion, because it seems to be a test. Did you know that the Wikipedia Sandbox is available for testing out edits?

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

No problem, these things happen all the time (myself included); take a look at the tag I added which is all you need to insert onto a page to get it wiped quickly. cheers. Britishfinance (talk) 06:50, 18 January 2019 (UTC)

Melodrama World Tour

Hello:

The copy edit you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article Melodrama World Tour has been completed.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

The section Israel Controversy has two or more citations for most statements when one would do. You might want to go through the section and keep the most authoritative sources. You'll probably want to archive all the sources as well.

Good luck with the GAN when you get to it.

Regards,

Thank you again for the copy-edit. I went ahead and removed the additional sources that were cited on the same sentence. De88 (talk) 02:26, 19 January 2019 (UTC)

DYK for The Hanging Tree (The Hunger Games song)

On 24 January 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article The Hanging Tree (The Hunger Games song), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Jennifer Lawrence was so anxious about performing "The Hanging Tree" in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 that she wanted to lip sync to a professional singer? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/The Hanging Tree (The Hunger Games song). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, The Hanging Tree (The Hunger Games song)), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

PanydThe muffin is not subtle 00:02, 24 January 2019 (UTC)

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Lorde

Hi there. At my sandbox I have trimmed down the Public Image section and merged it with the current "Recognition" section.

I removed name-checking artists and instead replaced with a short paragraph commenting on how Lorde changed the music scene in general. I also removed artists who complimented Lorde i.e. David Bowie per the article's talk page.
For the million copies information I think this could be merged within the Career section rather than Public image
I'm not sure if "whisperpop" should be there because the article mentioned Lana Del Rey and others more frequently. I don't think this contributes significantly to the image of Lorde.

I want to hear your comments before updating the article page itself. Cheers for a future FA! — (talk) 05:30, 3 February 2019 (UTC)

@: Looks like the article is flowing much better now. I made a quick edit on your sandbox page though I intend on working on that section later today. I feel that the mention of the The New Zealand Herald article could be trimmed further. The quote about her elaborating on being a "sex-positive person" could use a quote box; it could also use another adjective since "hugely" sounds odd. Second paragraph is perfect, though we could use a transition word to connect The New York Times and Billboard. Third paragraph has a quote farm that needs fixing. Featured articles usually avoid placing too many quotes and usually paraphrase them. I do think NPR should be written as its full name (National Public Radio). It gives a more professional tone. I also forgot to mention this but the Songwriting and lyrics section needs to be condensed and go more in-depth on her inspiration for her overall songwriting. Perhaps her list of inspirational authors could be moved here. We should also find sources that include her Melodrama songwriting process, not just Pure Heroine. De88 (talk) 07:49, 3 February 2019 (UTC)
I think the influences should be kept where it is now. I'll try to cut down critical analysis of her lyrics, as it definitely needs to be trimmed. (I believe the lyric "teeth" can be removed because this sounds like something that should appear in the Pure Heroine article rather than here)
For the critical and commercial success of Pure Heroine in the lead, I think we can add info on how the album was the first debut to sell one million since Adele to add more concrete proof. — (talk) 02:01, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
Yes, the mention of "teeth" is a bit too specific for her main article. That is already mentioned in the Pure Heroine article anyways. We should definitely include the bit about the one million sales in the lead. Serves a great purpose to the article. I may or may not edit frequently in the next coming days due to an overload of college work. De88 (talk) 02:44, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
@: Hey, I think the article now looks great enough to pass the FA-nomination. Which areas of the article do you think need further improvements? De88 (talk) 07:47, 8 February 2019 (UTC)

It indeed looks great now, but we can't bring it to FAC unless PR is archived. I think we can wait a little more so that PR is fully done. I can't seek any further improvements possible. — (talk) 07:50, 8 February 2019 (UTC)

@: Yeah, hopefully we receive more input on the PR. I forgot to ask this but would you be willing to collaborate on Lorde's South Park episodes (two in total) and "Weird Al" Yankovic's parody of "Royals" ("Foil") to bring them to GA-status? These articles already have information on them so the clean-up will not be hard. I realize you are currently busy working on 1989 (which looks amazing, by the way!) so if you would like to, you can notify me after you have some free time, of course. De88 (talk) 08:56, 8 February 2019 (UTC)

Do you think we should archive the current PR and try bringing it to Guild of Copyeditors for a final proofread? PR seems to be stagnant and doesn't help out much. — (talk) 02:33, 15 February 2019 (UTC)

@: Yeah, I think you should go ahead and submit it for a copy-edit request. De88 (talk) 03:01, 15 February 2019 (UTC)
Another not so good news: Copyeditors are also really stagnant (lol). Are you confident to take this directly to FAC yet? If we bring this to the Guild, it'll take quite a long time. I'd say let's bring this to FAC right away, your thoughts? — (talk) 04:46, 15 February 2019 (UTC)
@: Yeah, I think we should take this to FAC now. I feel that the article needs a couple more patches but that is something that can be fixed while the nomination is active. De88 (talk) 15:59, 15 February 2019 (UTC)
Alright. Before taking the article to FAC, I'm not sure if "sampler" should be included in the infobox. Per Template:Infobox musical artist#instrument, this should be limited to only those that the artist is primarily known for using. Lorde stated herself several times she doesn't play instrument, and perhaps her playing sampler is only experimental/beginner level. The source included doesn't contain such information either. — (talk) 02:56, 16 February 2019 (UTC)
@: Yeah, that bit should be removed. De88 (talk) 05:08, 16 February 2019 (UTC)
