[edit]Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below) and continue editing.
A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.
You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:
- Adding
{{unblock-un|your new username here}}
on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "Email this user" on their talk page. - At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
- Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.

2017 Pittsburgh Penguins Stanley Cup template
[edit]Just a heads up that it has long been a policy at WP:HOCKEY to remove these types of templates. The short reason is that it causes unnecessary clutter (consider what Henri Richard with his 11 Cup championships would look like), and doesn't really add anything of substance. You are free to discuss it at WT:HOCKEY, but it has been attempted before and is unlikely to be considered this time. Kaiser matias (talk) 12:31, 11 January 2018 (UTC)

Copyright images
[edit]Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload files. However, it appears that one or more of the files you have uploaded or added to a page may fail our non-free policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted file of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kuru (talk) 01:53, 13 February 2018 (UTC)
Roster navbox color updates
[edit]I believe there was consensus a few years ago to not do what you did on all of them. If needed, I can find it and link to it. In the meantime, I'll revert them unless you have a good argument against that. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 16:35, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
@Dissident93: No problem, man. I just made those edits to be consistent with the team navboxes (which use only the secondary color on the groupstyles), but you can revert them if you want. I'll take your word for it if there's already been a consensus. DaveTheBrave ❯❯❯ Talk 23:34, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
- @DaveTheBrave: Yeah, it's inconsistent with other team/sport navboxes, but there was a consensus a few years ago (can't find the actual discussion, it was on some talk page somewhere) that changed it from this to how it currently is. I'm not against how you did it, but I think it should be discussed again, maybe at WT:NFL? ~ Dissident93 (talk) 23:40, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
- @DaveTheBrave: I also noticed you went back and changed the border scaling in the navboxes from 2.5 to 2. This was done a few years ago because 2.5 scales at higher zoom levels without affecting 100%, so I reverted them as well. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 18:06, 2 September 2018 (UTC)
- @Dissident93: Ah. Makes a tad more sense. Always assumed the 2.5 was a random change. DaveTheBrave ❯❯❯ Talk 05:07, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:2018 World Series Primary Logo.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:2018 World Series Primary Logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:02, 30 August 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Dave. You've been here for nearly 4 years, had multiple warnings on your talk page and for some reason, you continue adding unsourced information to articles which, with your experience you should know is disruptive. Please keep this in mind going forward as it would be unfortunate to lose your editing privileges over something so easily rectifiable. Thanks. Robvanvee 08:36, 10 December 2020 (UTC)

[edit]You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia. @NinjaRobotPirate: can you please block this guy again for pointless disruptive editing? These are all a huge string of junk redundant edits. He randomly changed all the colors in two templates, and renamed Disneyland. Absolutely no sources, no edit summaries, and WP:NOTHERE. He got his username right the first time. — Smuckola(talk) 08:11, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Smuckola, Special:Diff/1095678370 was technically correct (see also the logo in the infobox, and Disneyland Park#1990s), Special:Diff/1093780313 is sourced in the article body with a quote from the subject calling themselves a record producer, Special:Diff/1095767073/Special:Diff/1095767037 (and the similar recent diffs) don't seem that bad, and the username change was forced. I think WP:ANI would be a good venue for enforcing a discussion about specific issues the user has been warned about yet which persist, but the diffs you have provided above don't really look like a sufficient base for any action. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 18:45, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
- Smuckola I honestly don't know what it is I'm doing wrong, all the "redundant" edits are consistent with other articles that add the year in the opening sentence. Disneyland Park is its official name per the article. I've already been blocked before for petty stuff like this and I don't know what it is that's rubbing people the wrong way DaveTheBrave (talk) 19:56, 30 June 2022 (UTC)

Template deletion
[edit]Hi. This is just a heads up. I have nominated the templates you have created for no-hitters for deletion.
I have nothing against you or them and in fact I can see that you love baseball, just as I do. The thing is that they are unnecessary when there are FAR, FAR better substitutes which provide more information. The team templates do the job, as does the no-hitter lists template and the page dedicated to no-hitters. The templates you created simply lead to the pitcher's page which don't give info on the no-hitter beyond a few tidbits. In cases of combined no-hitters, it can be misleading: for example, Babe Ruth did not retire a single batter in the combined no-hitter with Ernie Shore; a person unfamiliar with baseball looking at the template would think he actually pitched one.
Also, you have only created one for 11 of the 30 MLB teams and you can see how problematic that is. I admire your love for baseball and I know they were created in good faith but I think these templates are unnecessary and just clutter up a page. -- Omnis Scientia (talk) 20:15, 13 July 2023 (UTC)
