List of awards and nominations received by Justin Timberlake

Hey there. I just noticed that you've changed my edit on List of awards and nominations received by Justin Timberlake. The correct number of his awards is 94 while he has 146 nominations so far i counted it via F3. According to T:IMA nomination "is the total number of awards the musical group or artist has been nominated for, but not won.". By the way i've found some awards and nominations which are mssing here[1], so if you're interested then would be nice if you add them. --Eurofan88 (talk) 19:28, 26 March 2015 (UTC)

Thanks, working on that. Btw the NSYNC Grammy noms are suitable for the article? The nom is for each member too Cornerstonepicker (talk) 06:08, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
Don't get it. Give me an example where Timberlake was nominated for a Grammy while being a part of NSYNC. --Eurofan88 (talk) 06:21, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
Like Beyoncé. Destiny's Child Grammy noms and wins appear here List of awards and nominations received by Beyoncé. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 17:56, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
Those NSYNC awards and nominations should not be included on Timberlake's article but we can give a link to this article. It will be the same if we include NSYNC's albums and songs to Timberlake's own discography. By the way i think Pharrell's and Beyonce's Grammy nominations are not suitable for Timberlake's article. Grammy just gives credits to the artists who have worked on albums but definitely it does not mean that we should include those credits on Timberlake's article since he's major artist. --Eurofan88 (talk) 18:47, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
Actually every artist involved/feat. artist in an AOTY-nom album is also considered as nominee according to Grammy rules. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 18:53, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
Well i would like to hear User:SNUGGUMS's opinion as he edits most of the music realted articles. :) --Eurofan88 (talk) 19:06, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
NSYNC awards shouldn't be on Timberlake's list of awards. Group work is not the same as solo work, and it's not like he was specifically credited for them above other members or anything. Snuggums (talk / edits) 19:11, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
Got it. My last post was about Beyoncé/Pharrell albums. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 19:14, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
Similarly, awards for Destiny's Child shouldn't be included on Beyoncé's list of awards. Snuggums (talk / edits) 19:21, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
You misunderstood it SNUGGUMS :D We are talking about this. --Eurofan88 (talk) 19:24, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
I see. Not sure what to say about that diff. Snuggums (talk / edits) 19:27, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
Btw Beyoncé is "the most Grammy-nominated female artist", including her Destiny's Child noms. Still confused about it. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 19:32, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
This is my point of view; those kind of Grammy "nominations" should not be included to artists' pages because the nomination only goes to the artists who owns the album. These "As featured artist" and "As producer" noms are just credits which the artist receives for working on it. --Eurofan88 (talk) 19:41, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
I was checking other artist list of awards on wikipedia and a lot have noms as a "feat. artist". Because if the album wins, the feat. artist/ producer officially gets another Grammy. --Cornerstonepicker (talk) 19:47, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
I got your point but i will stay to my opinion. Well we can keep those nominations though. Have a nice evening. :) --Eurofan88 (talk) 19:57, 27 March 2015 (UTC)

Justin Timberlake

Hey i saw your name in the history page of Justin Timberlake's article. I'm a big fan of him and it seems you love him too. I would like to add a new section in his article but i'm not experienced enough for Wikipedia i guess. I suggest you to write a new section about how he is often deemed a sex symbol within society or something like that. Thnx. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.130.70.252 (talk) 16:47, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

I'll try and find sources for a "public image" section. however i think the "artistry" section should be expanded first. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 23:14, 5 May 2015 (UTC)
Okay i will wait. Do it ASAP! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.130.129.246 (talk) 19:13, 6 May 2015 (UTC)

Please do not remove the {{singlechart}} template from articles using them without a valid reason. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 07:14, 22 May 2015 (UTC)

I couldn't add {{small|''album version''}} without removing it. Considering NZ charts are the only exception and the BB remix is charting in the others. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 07:18, 22 May 2015 (UTC)

VMA Biggest Winners

Point is, the source is anything but perfect. It's been wrong about who the biggest winners are since they created the list ages ago (I think that page was created for the 2007 VMAs). They're not gonna fix it, so it's not a matter of 'yet' (especially for missing big winners who won back in the '80s and early '90s like Don Henley and INXS). It also doesn't recognize the Red Hot Chili Peppers' Best Artist Website award, even though it was listed on the VMA website back in 1999. Long story short, there has to be some degree of leeway as to how closely we follow the source. It's not perfect, so it has to be taken with a grain of salt and accepted up to the point where it's logical to do so. --Andresg770 (talk) 01:09, 29 July 2015 (UTC)

According to webarchive it was created in 2013. They don't count feats artists, it's the only thing clear there, and Beyoncé is a feat. on Telephone. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 01:15, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
Actually, it was created in 2007, as can be seen on this Wayback Machine capture: https://web.archive.org/web/20070819233613/http://www.mtv.com/ontv/vma/archive/biggest_winners.jhtml
The site's been wrong since its creation, as it was already missing Don Henley, INXS, Ricky Martin, Nirvana, and OutKast. So if you want to use a page that has always been wrong as the be-all, end-all for the Biggest Winners section, then that's okay. I personally disagree with that. It's one source (the main one), but logic should ultimately win out. Andresg770 (talk) 01:25, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
They don't count feats. that's the fact. If they were missing Crazy in Love or Drunk in Love as Beyonce's wins there would be no problem adding it. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 01:32, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
You have to admit, though, that it legitimately makes ZERO sense for them to have a Best Collaboration award and not give it to one of the artists in the song just because he's a "featured" artist... Andresg770 (talk) 01:54, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
I have seen they only hand out one 'moonman' for Best Collaboration at the ceremony. Anyway, I guess we shouldn't remove the other winners not listed by MTV. I mean, they have won 5 awards as lead. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 05:02, 29 July 2015 (UTC)

Your recent editing history at MTV Video Music Award shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. I want to add the "Japan Gold Disc Awards" section, I researched and they are important awards in Japan, Minaj won 1 so I wanted to know if that is no-notable.

if this is no-notable please let me know to not add to the list, Thank — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alex Struv (talkcontribs) 22:37, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

2014 MTV Video Music Awards

Can't have it both ways. In the article for the 2014 VMAs you keep adding Iggy Azalea back on the "Biggest nominee" section and told me when you reverted my edit to the article that MTV counted featured artists' nominations back in 2014. But then you remove "Drunk in Love" from Jay-Z's "Biggest winners" entry on the main article because he was only a featured artist... So which one is it? Did MTV count featured artists as official nominees last year or not? --Andresg770 (talk) 21:23, 20 August 2015 (UTC)

MTV doesn't count featured acts as winners. However, besides the official source that claims Iggy was the second most nominated (before Best Lyric Video), in this interview she confirms she has 7 noms. We can't go against that. I guess this case is an exception. BTW, the official source also says Jay-Z didn't win anything at the 2014 vmas, only Beyoncé. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 03:49, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
Wait, so you're saying that Iggy Azalea is the only exception in VMA history, or that the 2014 VMAs were the only exception that counted featured artists as nominees (and presumably winners)? --Andresg770 (talk) 06:29, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
She being the most nominated last year Cornerstonepicker (talk) 15:02, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
So Iggy is the only exception of the entire year? Meaning that her nominations (and win, presumably) as a featured artist count but others' (like Jay Z's) don't?? That wouldn't make sense... Andresg770 (talk) 22:43, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
Iggy was the second most nominated (before Lyric v); and Jay-Z didn't win anything according to the list and bc feats. don't count. I don't know more. Looks like in 2014 noms counted but wins didn't. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 23:47, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
I'm confused now, though... So Iggy Azalea had 3 (later 4) nominations for her featured appearance on "Problem," but at the same time she did NOT win anything for it (even though it won Best Pop Video) because she was just a featured artist?? Andresg770 (talk) 02:58, 22 August 2015 (UTC)
The again. adding Drunk in Love in Jay Z's wins when no other act has featurings in the chart wouldn't make sense Cornerstonepicker (talk) 00:54, 26 August 2015 (UTC)

Public image

Hey i saw your name in the history page of Justin Timberlake's article. There you added a well written 'Public image' section. Would you write the same section for Adam Levine's article? I just don't know how to start it. Thank you in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.130.33.50 (talk) 07:39, 4 September 2015 (UTC)

I just read Levine's article. Actually, 'public image' is present in Artistry and Personal life. Pretty sure they didn't write a "pi" section because is mixed with those. Let me see if I can get more info. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 19:11, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
Oh thank you, that's very sweet of you :) I don't know if this is suitable for that section, but you can add about when in 2014 he changed the color of his hair blonde or in 2015 shave his head. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.130.139.77 (talk) 19:55, 4 September 2015 (UTC)

Lead Artist & Features in MTV Awards

You deleted 2013 MTV Video Music Awards from List of awards and nominations received by Justin Bieber because he's only a featured isn't right. If MTV doesn't count featured they won't put collaboration videos as the nominees. It doesn't matter if the artist is the lead or only a featured, they still had their contributions to the song/video. Especially if they appeared in the music video. For example, when Katy Perry won 2014 MTV Video Music Awards for "Dark Horse", Juicy J who's only a featured also came up on stage with her to do a speech too. It proves that lead artists or featured just the same though. (Bistymings (talk) 03:40, 23 August 2015 (UTC))

There's only one trophy on stage. And also Katy/Kanye at the 2011 Vmas. She always do that. But MTV doesn't count it. Rihanna/Calvin Harris Video of the Year: Rihanna on stage while Calvin clapping from the audience. I suggest you to check this official source, no feats in Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Missy Elliott. MTV only counts lead acts. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 16:13, 23 August 2015 (UTC)
I know there's only one trophy even it's a collaborating video. But still, the featured also have their contributions for the song. I think there's nothing wrong though if we add it also in List of awards and nominations of the featured artist.(Bistymings (talk) 01:12, 25 August 2015 (UTC))
Yeah, there's something wrong: wrong number of awards when MTV says otherwise. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 03:45, 25 August 2015 (UTC)
So is it a problem for you? (Bistymings (talk) 00:43, 26 August 2015 (UTC))
Not here for misinformation Cornerstonepicker (talk) 00:56, 26 August 2015 (UTC)
You know what? Iggy Azalea, which featured in Problem and the video got nominated in 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, they add the nominations in List of awards and nominations received by Iggy Azalea and I don't see people arguing between lead artist and featured like this. Because you say "Not here for misinformation", I think you should check all the artists who become featured in MTV Video Music Awards nominees, not only in List of awards and nominations received by Justin Bieber. (Bistymings (talk) 01:47, 27 August 2015 (UTC))
The 2014 vmas noms including Azalea it's been debatable. The only sure thing is MTV doesn't count feat acts, they just reported Kanye has only won twice. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 02:08, 27 August 2015 (UTC)
I think you should check this [2]. That one is from MTV and they wrote the featured too on the list.(Bistymings (talk) 02:18, 28 August 2015 (UTC))
Already checked. They wrote that like the nominees list: with feat acts. This is the official showing how much they have. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 03:15, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
They probably doesn't count it but still write it. So I think we can do the same at List of awards and nominations of the featured artists. Just write but don't count?(Bistymings (talk) 01:07, 29 August 2015 (UTC))
that doesn't work, would be confusing. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 01:15, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
Naahh. In the nominations number of List of awards and nominations received by Justin Bieber, we can write not including MTV VMAs nominations as a featured. So the other people will not count it. (Bistymings (talk) 03:33, 30 August 2015 (UTC))
Why would you put it if it won't be included? that means he doesn't have those noms, wouldn't make sense. No artists have that in their lists. It will stay like that until MTV say otherwise. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 03:51, 30 August 2015 (UTC)
When people want to see/know how many MTV Vmas that Justin Bieber won or got nominated, they only see the tables, not the number of nominations. Let the people know that he also got nominated for "Where Are Ü Now" and "#ThatPOWER" even though only as a featured. Especially in "Where Are Ü Now", there's only him in the video, there's no Jack Ü. That's my purpose actually. (Bistymings (talk) 01:53, 31 August 2015 (UTC))
I see you didn't get my point. MTV just doesn't count it. Is not his nomination. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 01:59, 31 August 2015 (UTC)
I got it. But like I said before, it's no big deal if we write the nominations on the list. Nobody will get angry, hurt or feel disappointed if we write it though. (Bistymings (talk) 01:39, 3 September 2015 (UTC))
And by the way in here [3], they count Janet Jackson has nine awards. If they don't count featured, why they wrote she has nine? (Bistymings (talk) 00:38, 4 September 2015 (UTC))
Because she has nine (?) "Scream" was a duet with Michael Cornerstonepicker (talk) 03:49, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
I know "Scream" is a song by Michael and also Janet. But she only a featured in that song and they count it.. (Bistymings (talk) 01:13, 5 September 2015 (UTC))
No, she's not only featured. She's credited as lead act, like Michael. Michael Jackson & Janet Jackson, not Michael feat. Janet. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 20:17, 5 September 2015 (UTC)

Hey, it's me again. A few days ago you said you will try to find info for the "Public image" section of Adam Levine's article. Please dooo it as soon as possible as i'm trying to nominate that article for good article in my country's Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.130.141.18 (talk) 11:37, 9 September 2015 (UTC)

Why?

Why do u remove Nate Ruess from Eminem's page? He sang with him in a song... Nga Pyang (talk) 02:04, 13 September 2015 (UTC)

Associated acts means more than one song together. At least three collaborations. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 18:01, 13 September 2015 (UTC)

VMA list awards

Hi, I've seen you like to contribute to VMA's related article. During this week, I changed a lot of things on these articles and added new contents. My point is if you want to join me and try to bring them to FL? It looks difficult but we've already done a lot. Thoughts? GagaNutellatalk 22:44, 16 September 2015 (UTC)

"Notable moments", kinda bad redaction in 1995–1999, dead links. Let me see what can I change in the main article and Male / Female. VOTY seems perfect. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 23:26, 16 September 2015 (UTC)
VOTY is almost ready. Michael also looks great, still needs minor changes and I think we should re write the notes. The main article will be the most difficult, maybe a GA in the future. But let's focus on the lists. GagaNutellatalk 23:40, 16 September 2015 (UTC)
considering is fan-voted I'm not sure Awarded for quality _ music videos in all infoboxes is accurate Cornerstonepicker (talk) 08:27, 17 September 2015 (UTC)
Then delete "quality" and let just the category, for example; awarded for pop music videos. GagaNutellatalk 10:20, 17 September 2015 (UTC)

'Honorific nicknames' edit & comment?

Saw your correction & comment in the 'Honorific nicknames' page and just wanted to ask who the heck are you to state your opinion on the artists included there? As an editor, if the sources are reliable that is all that matters. And Cher has been called a queen of comebacks for a reason, having a #1 hit worldwide in more than 4 decades and selling millions of records each decade, not to mention her successes in moves, TV and tours... Anyway, please retrain from personal statements the next time you make edit. Uncleangelo (talk) 11:43, 10 February 2016 (UTC)

So, you have no decency to explain? You must be 15 or something, but again show respect where it's due and retrain from hateful comments. thank you! Uncleangelo (talk) 23:43, 10 February 2016 (UTC)
Oh you're gonna look so silly: I didn't comment anything Uncleangelo, and I didn't remove "Queen of comeback", I added an "s" there, so it would be "Queen of comebacks", as the source says. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 22:17, 10 February 2016 (UTC)

List Of Awards and Nominations by Nicki Minaj

Hello Cornerstonepicker, The "VEVO Hot This Year Awards" are a few AWARDS, VEVO defines them as AWARDS, even I noticed that Shakira shared votes and defines them as prizes. They are completely notable, because VEVO is a company completely relevant.

Best regards! --Thembihood (talk) 02:29, 20 January 2016 (UTC)Thembihood

Thembihood, the source you have provided is not reliable. Even so, those are not awards, is a year-end poll, like many publication do. Please, don't just add awards to increase the "wins" number, be sure that those are notable. You're just adding fan-craft, so don't. Btw, that article you have been adding awards needs some work, irrelevant "perfurmes" awards, irrelevant "beverage" awards. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 02:31, 20 January 2016 (UTC)
Cornerstonepicker According to WP, it would be a "primary source". In addition, the page is not the only one with that kind of awards; see awards page of Lady Gaga, Madonna, Missy Elliott, Lil' Kim, Beyonce, Lauryn Hill and many more pages contain awards that are irrelevant. I differentiate between an end-of-year survey and awards; but it perfectly that this is not one; initially because it was not in the end of the year. --Thembihood (talk) 02:59, 20 January 2016 (UTC)Thembihood
Thembihood, http://www.spotlightcountry.com/vevo-announces-hot-this-year-list/ is not a primary source. Those articles need some work too, but just because they have, don't add to this one. And yes, the poll (that isn't present in any other article, for a reason) is called Vevo Hot This Year, in December 2014. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 03:03, 20 January 2016 (UTC)
Thembihood I have undone your last edit in this Talk page for the reason you can find in "view history". Please, let me now your comments about this again. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 03:18, 20 January 2016 (UTC)

Little Mix

Hello Cornerstonepicker, I'm a little puzzled by a couple of your edits on the Little Mix article. Firstly, you say that the Daily Mirror isn't a reliable source – why wouldn't a national daily newspaper be an RS? I'm not a fan of the band, but I've been trying to keep the page free from the hyperbole of fanboys (and fangirls), and this is at least a reliably reported sales figure, as opposed to the 12 million that IP editors keep trying to change it to based on a mention on The X Factor last month, which certainly isn't an RS.

Secondly, you removed Missy Elliot from the list of associated artists. It's a fair point as the band have only done one duet with her, but as Little Mix's "association" with Demi Lovato only stretches as far as being her opening act on one tour three years ago, I'd say Missy has more right to be considered an associated act, seeing as she's actually recorded with the group. I personally wouldn't have any objections if you removed both of them from the associated acts field, though. Richard3120 (talk) 14:42, 8 December 2015 (UTC)

In general, tabloid-journalist newspapers, such as The Sun, Daily Mirror, Daily Mail, equivalent television shows, or sites like The Register, should not be used. See Wikipedia:Potentially unreliable sources. For associated acts, other acts with which this act has collaborated on multiple occasions. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 19:50, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
In general I agree with you, I would much rather use a figure from a music magazine or broadsheet newspaper. The problem is, I can't find a better source than the Daily Mirror. You may say, fine, then we shouldn't have a sales figure at all – the trouble is I am certain this now clears the way for LM's fans to add whatever figure they want, most likely that 12 million sales figure I talked about, which they will almost certainly get from Digital Spy or some celebrity gossip website. I figure it's best to have some half-reputable figure than none at all, because from previous experience I know this means it'll get added and deleted and re-added incessantly.
Totally agree with you about the "multiple occasions" – I think then this means that Lovato should also be excluded, as being an opening tour act doesn't count as a collaboration. What do you think? Richard3120 (talk) 00:21, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
I removed Lovato. I get your point, however plenty of artists don't have a sales figure here because of that. Little Mix has few certifications, their album sales in the UK (their strongest market) combined don't reach 1 million. I guess "Wings" is their best-selling single, with sales ~1,3M WW, not even 50% of 5M WW (source). So is really hard to believe what DailyMirror says. That info can be removed and leave a hidden note for future edits, or "unreliable source" can stay and another user will take a decision. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 00:46, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
Yeah, I don't disagree with any of the changes you've just made. The 300,000 sales for the second album is an inferred figure from the fact it's just been certified platinum, but you are right, it does need a citation for that. I'm also not a fan of adding sales figures when they don't come from an official source: the fans seem to think differently and add any figure they can find on the web, regardless of the reliability of the source, which is extremely annoying and means I spend a lot of time reverting unsourced stuff on these pages. They were announced on the X Factor last month as having sold 12 million records now... how the figure managed to jump from 7.5 million to 12 million in less than a year with the release of only two singles (this was before their current album was released), I find very suspicious... of course, both X Factor and Little Mix are under Simon Cowell's control, so there might possibly be a vested interest there in bigging up their sales figures on the show, and certainly a COI as regards being an RS. As I expected, an IP has added back the 12 million sales figure, from the Chroniclelive website, which appears to be the online version of local newspaper The Newcastle Chronicle... presumably this would also count as a non-reliable source? Richard3120 (talk) 12:24, 15 December 2015 (UTC)
Yes. I'm going to remove both, so they stop adding 12 million thinking 5 million "is incorrect". Cornerstonepicker (talk) 22:22, 15 December 2015 (UTC)

Vevo Certified Award

The Vevo Certified Award is an award that honours artists with a video that reaches over 100 million views on the Vevo platform. The artist will receive such an award for every video that reaches the 100 million mark. For example, when Demi Lovato's music video for "Let It Go" got over 100 million views, Pete Wentz handed out a Vevo Certified Award to her on stage at the Vevo Certified SuperFanFest in September 2014 (you can watch it here). Many more artists have received the award (or even multiple ones simultaneously) as well and most of them have uploaded videos of them receiving the award(s) to their Vevo accounts. It might sound obvious, but the Vevo Certified Award is an actual award. So I would really appreciate it if you could stop removing the award from articles saying it's not one while it is.. Thank you very much, indeed. Nintendo¡oui?? 18:43, 10 December 2015 (UTC)

Good-articles here in WP don't include Vevo certified as an award - is a digital certification, just like Gold or Platinum by the RIAA. Try to include that 'award' in the Taylor Swift A&N article, and you will receive a better reply. Btw, that Vevo Certified article hasn't been reviewed yet. Believe (Cher song) - Cher as songwriter

Hi, Mirela. Cher claimed that she co-wrote the song "Believe" on BBC live chat, but apparently which has been posted by cherworld.com, which is probably an unofficial fansite. However, another two sources has been found on the article's talk page. One is a book has been scanned from Google Books, and another one is New York Times article. 115.164.95.16 (talk) 15:29, 15 December 2015 (UTC)

Justin Bieber

Hello and thank you for your recent edits. However, you have deleted important info that belongs in the lead, which of course summarizes the main article. As per the article: Bieber is indeed a producer (for instance, he is listed as the first producer of his two most recent studio albums), actor (he has appeared in 24 TV shows and films), and dancer (he dances in many of his videos and all of his concerts.) Also, the RIAA is the industry standard for tracking actual single and album sales. But you were right to re-add the "n" word, even though it is highly inflammatory. Thank you, again.--PhiladelphiaInjustice (talk) 22:19, 23 December 2015 (UTC)

Do some research, his acting roles features only one as guest star. Please, see WP guidelines about main occupations in Bios. The dancer one is original research. 12x Certification doesn't mean 12 million copies sold - so is indeed, misinformation. Since May 2013 RIAA certifications for digital singles include on-demand audio and/or video song streams in addition to downloads.[1] Hope it can help you. Selena Gomez

Hi! Selena won a VMA because he was part of the clip if it was not for her and others the clip would not be special, the idea of joining various celebrities was what left the special clip, It not was the song that won, it was the video. Taylor made a party at his house to deliver the moonmen to all participants, The prize that sent her (the moonmen) and even posted a picture on your instagram. Thank you for your attention Slupd146 (talk) 03:26, 6 January 2016 (UTC)

Well, it doesn't say much. MTV hasn't sign anything about that. Btw, if featured artists don't receive the award officially for MTV.. it only counts awards for her own videography [4] Cornerstonepicker (talk) 03:28, 6 January 2016 (UTC)

Irresistible ft. Demi Lovato

It's really weird that Billboard doesn't credit Demi as a featured artist on the track, even though the remix version was the one that was released as a single in the US and elsewhere. The remix version impacted US pop radio on October 16, 2015 and remains the only version that is actually played on American radio stations, which is one of the main factors that triggered the recent success of the song and its new peak at 55. Read this article from November 2015 as well. The only reason why they probably didn't credit her, must be because the song had already peaked at 77 when "Irresistible" was released as a promotional single on January 5, 2015. So, I think that the #55 position rightfully belongs to the remix even without any credit given to Demi by Billboard. Whether Billboard still doesn't credit Demi after the music video release or not, Demi is still the one who helped the song achieve its current success... Give Your a Break 23:53, 6 January 2016 (UTC)

"The Hills" (2015) was already number one. The remix version featuring Eminem helped the song the next week, but it didn't sell as much as the original version that week, so he wasn't credited. "Bad Blood" (2015) charted first at 60 if I'm not mistaken, the following week the remix feat Kendrick Lamar sold 10 times more than the original version, so he was credited. It depends, and BB knows. Until BB credits her.. that position with her name doesn't have a source. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 00:20, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
Yet, in this case, the remix version featuring Demi sells more than the original song.. and it's the only version that qualifies as a single release in the US... BB should credit her as soon as possible! And they sure do know that the remix version with Demi is in the Mainstream Top 40 right now, the only one that gets airplay.. At least Republic Records credits Demi here. Not to forget that the Demi remix is in the top 40 of US iTunes at the moment, spawning the single's sales. Give Your a Break 13:18, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, but we are talking about the Hot 100, and her name isn't there with the song. Wait until Billboard credit her. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 00:15, 8 January 2016 (UTC)

External music video

Why are you removing the {{External music video}} templates? The infobox is a much better place for the links than the External links section.

By the way, sooner or later the infobox data will be imported straight from Wikidata. (And maybe the links in the "External links" section too.) So I think your energy is better spent on adding the YouTube links to Wikidata like this. --Moscow Connection (talk) 07:38, 15 January 2016 (UTC)

Moscow Connection, my energy was well spent: Featured articles and Good articles generally have the music video link under the "External Links" section. Is there a general consensus about it that I missed? Please, let me know. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 16:59, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
You were actually right. Fits better. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 06:56, 19 January 2016 (UTC)

Sorry for interrupting. I noticed that Slant Magazine said that the song "bass drops" into an arrangements which is a "pop rock arrangements". And just like Let the Groove Get In section where says has a pop arrangement. 123.136.106.165 (talk) 01:33, 19 January 2016 (UTC)

Part of the song is pop-rock (should be included as a genre). LTGGI has a pop arrangement, but it is mainly described as a latin song. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 06:56, 19 January 2016 (UTC)

Edit warring

I don't understand what your problem or objection is to conscious hip hop, but Billboard is clearly cited in the article's Music and lyrics section as describing To Pimp a Butterfly as a "conscious rap record". Don't turn this into an edit war. It's clearly cited to a reliable source, there's no policy or guideline at WP:ALBUMS to "keep it general", and your reference to this Time article discusses Lamar, not the album explicitly, and it's editorializing, flattering language that doesn't invalidate Billboard's point of view, which is also echoed in the link cited in To Pimp a Butterfly's Further reading section at the bottom. Be civil, take it to the talk page if you still disagree. Dan56 (talk) 02:15, 22 April 2016 (UTC)

I want to point out that this kind of flippant, casual reverting and dismissal of content verified by a reliable source is unacceptable ([5], [6]). Edit warring is not acceptable. I've met the burden of including a source with the content I added in this section. You don't have the right or rationale to remove it without discussion or consensus. Dan56 (talk) 02:20, 22 April 2016 (UTC)
what is all of this lol. You reverted my edit without any explanation. Just keep it simple, "read talk page" in the summary in the first revert helps. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 03:58, 22 April 2016 (UTC)

Issues with some articles

Hi Corner,

Though I appreciate your latest edits on the articles that I revamped, I have noticed a few problems. 1. You're always taking the part where I said that a song received positive/favorable reviews from music critics, which I don't see any problem, since the majority of the good articles on Wikipedia talks in that way, and mostly, people who will visit the article wants to know if a song was received well or not, both on the top and on the critical reception part. 2. This one is more serious, about a song's genre. I have seen that you jump into conclusions about a song's genre without looking at the sources. For instance, in the "Be Alright" page, you claimed that AllMusic is not a reliable source, but otherwise, AllMusic is one of the most reliable sources of album/single reviews and their writers write about music in one of the most serious way. The only problem that they have is the "box" on the left, where is cited the album's genre and mood, but taking that, when it comes to their reviews in the center, they are very reliable and this is unquestionable. Plus, I claimed that the song was inspired by disco, but if you read the review, they claimed that the song is a DISCO track. And other thing, I have read many articles that have reclaimed that a song was inspired by a genre (for instance, R&B), and is in the box that the song is an R&B track, if you will, however, when the song has elements of one genre, doesn't mean that the song is that genre. So, obviously that a reliable review from a reliable website knows that the song is a DISCO track as well. Second, Bieber's "Company", more than five reviewers claim that the song is also an R&B track, this is unquestionable as well, so why taking away one genre, if the song is obviously an R&B track as well?

As I appreciate all the support in order to have good articles on Wikipedia, I feel so frustrated when it comes to those points, because I dedicate myself so hard on making this articles. No one has ever cared about improving any Bieber's articles of his new album, "Company" article was so poor, as well as "Sorry", "Love Yourself", etc., the same with Ariana's, so helping to develop the article is an amazing thing and I will always be appreciative, but taking away important informations, that no one has ever cared before of adding, to me, it's something that frustrates me because I invest so much time of my day (there are articles that I spent almost three days working on and then there's someone who comes and takes away many important things in seconds), if you notice my contributions, I have only brought reliable contributions and with the goal of only improving articles. I know that you're trying to help me, but I rather work jointly than just have an user to exclude all my goodwill information.

Hope we can help each other. Thanks, FanofPopMusic (talk) 04:37, 29 May 2016 (UTC)

Genre for song

Hello User:Cornerstonepicker, hopefully you can help here: I've been trying to find reliably sourced genre or genres for Hype (Dizzee Rascal and Calvin Harris song), now I'm sure I've got an RS (MTV), but don't know exactly what genres there calling it. Here is source [7], I know for sure it's called big beat and future house, I'm not sure if this counts - "If stadium EDM decides to bolster the grime revival, I would not be mad at more of this" - or this "Dizzee Rascal’s can’t-catch-me grime-pop flow", thanks.--Theo Mandela (talk) 21:54, 14 April 2017 (UTC)

@Theo Mandela: According to that source, the song is Big beat and "grime-pop". I'd stick just with Big beat. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 22:15, 14 April 2017 (UTC)
So User:Cornerstonepicker, Big Beat, I've got no problem listing "grime-pop" if that's what it's being called and what about future house? Also not sure if it's being called EDM? 👍--Theo Mandela (talk) 11:29, 15 April 2017 (UTC)
@Theo Mandela: that reference doesn't mention future house. When it says "stadium EDM" is not referring to the song, I believe is about EDM concerts. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 15:30, 15 April 2017 (UTC)
Made the edit to article now User:Cornerstonepicker, feel free to check it out and make changes if necessary.--Theo Mandela (talk) 18:41, 15 April 2017 (UTC)

Billboard

Hello. You removed the Billboard Power 100 from the Weeknd's awards page - but I saw this, which is an image of Weeknd with the trophy thingy. Even other artists got it. So, it is considered as an honor, right? As it says: This year, Billboard also recognized a group of "power artists," each of whom not only scored No. 1s on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, but made an indelible impact on pop music in 2016. They were: The Weeknd, Blink-182, DJ Khaled, Zayn Malik and Desiigner.[1] King Cobra (talk) 14:40, 16 April 2017 (UTC)

Kendrick Lamar aka Kung Fu Kenny Inquiry

Hello,

I would like to kindly inquire why you reverted my edit on the Kendrick Lamar article noting his alias "Kung Fu Kenny"? This is in fact another name he is known by. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ziggypowe (talkcontribs) 01:41, 23 April 2017 (UTC)

.."For listing official stage names for the act or solo artist other than the name in the |name= parameter. Also for the solo artist's legal name(s), or other officially authorized names that differ from their birth name. This field is not for nicknames such as "The Godfather of Soul" (James Brown) or "Nippy" (Whitney Houston), which are not the artists' official names."

The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving.

Are you upset about something? There's no need to undo legitimate edits just because we had a disagreement about the source. "Has significant reliable sources that are independent. It's notable in its own right" and not having a release date isn't against the WP policy of inclusion. It has context checkY it has significant reliable sources that are independent checkY there aren't any issues like copyvio and vandalism checkY - TheMagnificentist 20:13, 19 May 2017 (UTC)

No, TheMagnificentist. The article is vague and doesn't say anything. Even with more info, other articles about albums were moved to drafts per WP:TOOSOON. It doesn't have a release date nor a tracklist. I understand you're a follower from the artist or something, because it doesn't stand by its own and you firmly believe it does. The random source saying "Hey Ma" is in the album.. the same info that is already written on Camila Cabello article.. Pointless article so far. Wait some weeks. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 04:44, 20 May 2017 (UTC)
Per WP:N, a topic is presumed to merit an article if it meets GNG or criteria of a subject-specific guideline and is not excluded under the "What Wikipedia is not" policy. The article meets GNG (by having significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject) and is not excluded under WP:NOT. "If sources do not exist, it is generally too soon for an article on that topic to be considered" - sources do exist for this article so WP:TOOSOON doesn't apply (plus it's an essay not a policy or guideline). After all, it's going to be released soon anyways. - TheMagnificentist 08:24, 20 May 2017 (UTC)

Janet Jackson - Billboard

Billboard contradicts itself here (Check #7): [2]

Confirming Janet Jackson won Six additional billboard awards during the Control era. This proves the Billboard tally is incorrect. There are many other sources which state Janet Jackson has won 33 Billboard Music Awards in total.

@Wiktbdhb: Author Leslie Richin vs the official list by Billboard Music Awards. Btw, how did she win 6 in 1986, when the Billboard Music Awards started in 1990? (sourced in the article). 8 in 1990 + 2 special awards = 10, that matches. The other source is People.com, a non-music publication that prob took that info from Wikipedia, as it was posted here for a long time. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 10:11, 23 May 2017 (UTC)
@Wiktbdhb: In the 1980s, the Billboard Magazine Year-End Number One Awards were around, not the same as the BBMAs, and those 6 awards that she won in 1986 are in the article as part of the former. Please, read my previous comment again, I edited it. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 10:19, 23 May 2017 (UTC)

To Pimp A Butterfly revision

Why did you undo the addition of mastering engineer under the production heading? It is a valid addition. Grundman's has mastered some of the world's greatest music, including Michael Jackson's Thriller. It's worth noting. Mastering engineers are an integral part of the production of an album. add Bozzi to the personnel heading if you think it's more appropriate. You don't want to see the article extinct right, because your pure sales will end, lol!!!!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lucas11925 (talkcontribs) 01:34, 19 January 2016 (UTC)

You are just assuming that. Those are streaming points, sales here are pure sales. "3x certication omg it sold 3 million!!!!" please, dont be that guy. Until you find a source stating "Worth It" has sold 3 million in the US (the chart you have edited is about the country, not WW like that tweet you showed) it will be removed. Edit: Lucas11925, I added a note there for "Worth It" multiplatinum-certification. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 01:50, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
@Cornerstonepicker: @Lucas11925: this is an ongoing problem with this article which has troubled me for months: in short, a lack of actual sales figures for virtually all records means it is impossible to make any accurate lists of best-selling girl group records, which really makes this article redundant.
If you read through the RfC discussion on the talk page you can see my misgivings - we felt the only way to salvage the article was to use certification levels, so the argument of Lucas11925 and Musicstan is valid: if we remove "Worth It" we have to remove virtually the whole article, because the sections for Australia, France, Germany, Canada, etc. are all implied sales based on certification levels. Japan and South Korea have sales figures, but these are mostly unverified... the Korean figures are mostly sourced from a French(!) blog. The UK figures are just about the only officially sourced ones, but even these are incomplete - for example, I can work out from OCC figures that both "Yes Sir I Can Boogie" and "Frankie" have sold in excess of 640,000 copies, so should be included on the UK singles list. But as I don't know exactly how many, or have a source, they have been excluded from the table.
There has been an attempt before to delete this article, in 2011: if it got put up for AfD again I wouldn't oppose it. Richard3120 (talk) 09:16, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
Just read that, Richard3120, so he has a point. But since 2013 streaming points have been included in certifications. I guess pre-2013 all were pure-sales. Don't Cha is only platinum, but has sold 3 million in the US. Confusing. Or maybe it can be merged to "Girl groups" article. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 16:20, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
The explanation behind "Don't Cha" can be found in the article used as the source for the 3M sales: it says it sold 3M on downloads in addition to a single platinum certification for old-fashioned physical sales. Which means the total sales should be 4M, not 3M. But as the person quoting those figures is Cee Lo Green, the song's co-writer, that's not really a verifiable source. And so we're back to the problem of sourcing verifiable sales figures: we can't do this for the Pussycat Dolls and we can't do this for Fifth Harmony, and we can't do it for most singles. So this is why we went with implied sales from certifications. But this is also problematic as (1) certifications are for shipments, not actual sales, (2) apart from the US and UK few countries had certifications before the 1980s, so the tables are heavily skewed towards the last twenty years, (3) it wasn't important for record companies in the past to apply for certifications, so many records from the 1950s, 60s and 70s have no certifications despite theoretically qualifying for them (see the lack of certified Supremes records in the US, or the single platinum certification for Bridge over Troubled Water in the UK, despite being one of the top 20 all-time best-selling albums in that country). The whole article is a minefield, really. Richard3120 (talk) 19:58, 19 January 2016 (UTC)

Reverts on Drake articles

Thank you for those reverts. Edits were against consensus, and had a "I know better than the sources attitude". They were disruptive as well, the editor took it to the talk page and continued. Anti Critical Reception

Hi Corner! Are you taking a full responsibility over the section? If you do, I have some tips for you: 1) If you want to build a successful CR section take a look at the previous critical receptions on Good Girl Gone Bad, Rated R or Loud (those sections are looking pretty good). 2) The first paragraph should contain the positive reviews, then the others mixed and the end negative. 3) I am gonna add some reviews in the infobox you can use it. I really appreciate the work. — Tom(T2ME) 19:43, 28 January 2016 (UTC)

Writers for Pillow Talk

Hi would you be able to edit the Pillow Talk page to amend the writers info! There are only 3 registers writers. Zayn , Michael , and Anthony. I am a representative from Sony ATV music Publishing and we have two of the writers ATVformusic (talk) 17:46, 2 February 2016 (UTC)

We still need a Reliable source, published on internet. Otherwise, it would be original research. Please, if the credits can be published somewhere (reliable) so we just link, it would be helpful. There is not source for the writers yet. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 18:55, 2 February 2016 (UTC)I will try and get a label copy upladed thank you for doing that

Zacharylernersin

You deleted the reviews that I put under TLOP because you said that they weren't "music publications", but they're just as much music publications as the NYT is!!

Complex and Noisey are completely legitimate as just music publications, and the person who wrote the Noisey review also writes for Pitchfork

All the other reviews are from legitimate websites/magazines that have been known to write reviews all the time, idk why they shouldn't be added

the GQ review is even referenced in the Composition portion of the page! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zacharylernersin (talkcontribs) 00:28, 25 February 2016 (UTC)

@Zacharylernersin: you wrote an entire paragraph for each review. Please, check Metacritic for "acclaim" and "positive reviews", they list each review they have considered. If you already have like 20 relevant reviews, why would you add more (specially from those magazines)? Cornerstonepicker (talk) 01:38, 25 February 2016 (UTC)

Wrong number on awards received by Eminem

Hi and thanks for your edit but you told me to tell you what article have a wrong number to fix it. Well if you go to List of awards and nominations received by Michael Jackson, you will find that he received 785+ awards. But when I checked the HTML code (1) (2) (3) (4) there was only 363 awards (I am 99% sure about that). Even List of awards and nominations received by Justin Bieber you will find that he received 136 awards. But when I checked the HTML code (1) (2) (3) (4) there was only 69 awards (I am 99% sure about that). And I am sure that there is more pages that have the same thing, what I am trying tell you is not that all artists have a wrong number on their pages but is the amount of received awards by Eminem before you edit it (346) is probably right. Maybe 346 is the actual amount of awards received by Eminem but the author did not mention all the awards, Maybe 785+ is the actual amount of awards received by Michael Jackson but the author did not mention all the awards, Maybe 136 is the actual amount of awards received by Justin Bieber but the author did not mention all the awards. So I think it is a good idea to change the number back to 346 on Eminem's page. And yes I'm an Eminem fan. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Eliasyoussef47 (talkcontribs) 22:27, 27 February 2016 (UTC)

@Eliasyoussef47: You can't just show a list of 120 awards and then put the artist has won "346" awards without proving it. Not even with a (reliable) source. Remember, WP only lists notable awards per WP:INDISCRIMINATE. I fixed MJ numbers; and Bieber used "rowspan=4 {{won}}" when he wins four awards in a row, so counting it with f3 won't help, it has to be counted manually. The format is pretty much fine really. I think I just liked the previous format as it was, so I found the change a bit unexpected but it still gets the job done and your making sure the information is being presented accurately and as is. I also have to thank you for your suggestions regarding how to add the additional vocal artists on the 'Justified' album tracks in like a Notes section. As for the deleted song, it was "Where Is The Love?" by The Black Eyed Peas, but I know since Justin is not officially credited I guess the song can't be officially considered his, despite his featured vocals. That's alright though. Bryan McLaude (talk) 05:54, 18 July 2016 (UTC)

@Bryan McLaude: Yeah, he was nominated for a Grammy as a vocalist for the song, but he wasn't credited when it charted, on the album tracklist or elsewhere. Drake revision

Why are you repeatedly reverting the edits I have made on the Drake page? I have provided sources and list information primarily from a neutral stance, without violating any Wikipedia guideline. What is the reasoning? PsychopathicAssassin (talk) 19:50, 25 July 2016 (UTC)

@PsychopathicAssassin: I have explained why several times, even in your Talk page, which you ignored and continued with disruptive edits and non-sense edit summary. With two sources of positive reviews you can't say "critical success" or "widespread success" (WP:SYN), the feuds you "sourced" are not encyclopedic (WP:INDISCRIMINATE, and was already removed weeks ago per Discussion). Among others. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 19:23, 25 July 2016 (UTC)
@Cornerstonepicker: The usage of "critical success" and "widespread success" was only written due to articles like Kanye West, (a good article-certified article, might I add) using the language on positive reviews with NO sources prevalent in the top of the page. I had also improved the references about the feuds, taking them from viable sources, rather than fan made websites. It would now be nonsensical to revert the edits. PsychopathicAssassin (talk) 21:31, 25 July 2016 (UTC)
@PsychopathicAssassin: Keep in mind Kanye's article is backed with Metacritic claiming critic acclaim and Rolling Stone 500 best albums of all time. That's not Drake case. Those feuds have already been removed per Discussion, because they aren't encyclopedic. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 20:52, 25 July 2016 (UTC)
@Cornerstonepicker: Drake also has Metacrtic claim, whilst his albums have repeatedly topped lists fitting of critical acclaim, as well as his albums seeing a large amount of commercial success. The feuds have been reported by reputable outlets, and can be described as encyclopedic. The removal is illogical. PsychopathicAssassin (talk) 22:01, 25 July 2016 (UTC)
@PsychopathicAssassin: No, this is the album you keep adding is critical acclaimed Metacritic: generally favorable reviews; this is Kanye's Universal acclaim Universal acclaim. Amount of commercial success, you posted "widespread commercial success", not backed with a source claiming that, totally falling on original research and WP:SYN. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 21:07, 25 July 2016 (UTC)
Edit: please, don't re-add your content until both discussions reach a conclusion. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 21:17, 25 July 2016 (UTC)
@Cornerstonepicker: @PsychopathicAssassin: I figured I'd give some outside input on this. I agree with Cornerstonepicker that the addition of the phrase "critical success" was WP:SYN based on the sources that were cited. I have removed this portion from the article. Commercial success I believe can remain because the billboard link shows the backing for that. I hope this helps add some clarity. Dane2007 (talk) 21:31, 25 July 2016 (UTC)

Hi there, again! I was wondering if you would be able to make a separate page for Amy Schumer's awards? I think she has enough awards/nominations for a separate page to be made for her. I would do it myself, however, I don't know how to. Thank you Lovatc543 (talk) 00:14, 2 August 2016 (UTC)

@Lovatc543: for some reason, comedians/TV host (Jimmy Fallon, James Corden) always have the list of their awards included in their main article. However, you can start Schumer's article of her awards and nominations using List of awards and nominations received by Ellen DeGeneres as a main example (copy/paste and replace names). You'll surelly find support for the frequent editors on Schumer's article to keep the new one in WP. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 03:27, 2 August 2016 (UTC)

Doubt

Hello,

I was wondering if you can help with the sentences about critical reception that I need to add at the top of some articles that I contributed, because you used the WP:SYN as the reason to take them away completely, but I was looking for some articles that you contributed as well, and you used the WP:SYNTH to take few information about the critics, but not all of them, such as Katy Perry's "Wide Awake", where the sentence "'Wide Awake' garnered mostly favorable critiques from music journalists, who commended its production" is still there, or the Justin Timberlake's "Drink You Away" and Meghan Trainor's "Lips Are Movin" articles, where the critical information is intact. For instance, Rihanna's "Kiss It Better" article has nothing more about the critical reception, not even a sentence, same as all of the Justin Bieber's songs that I revamped, such as "Sorry" and "Company", where the only information were "Music critics mostly were complimentary about its tropical vibe and Bieber's vocals" and "Music critics were mostly complimentary about the R&B environment" respectively. Even the featured article "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" does not have the reception part at all, where all the content was "Most music critics praised the song's smooth production and some noted its similarity to Beyoncé's 2007 single 'Get Me Bodied'. How those statements are different than "critics stated that 'Lips Are Movin' elevated Trainor from a one-hit wonder to a successful pop act"? or "'Drink You Away' received generally positive response from contemporary critics, with some of them labeling the song as a highlight and one of the most impressive moments on the album."? These are not WP:SYNTH too? So how come the reception part not being featured in selected articles, but in some they are intact? Best regards, FanofPopMusic (talk) 22:07, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

Demi lovato main section

Hi there! I was wondering if you could please add "model" to Demi's main page. she signed to Whilelmina modeling last October. it was there but then someone took it off of her page. thanks!! Lovatc543 (talk) 06:00, 15 August 2016 (UTC) Lovatc543 (talk) 06:00, 15 August 2016 (UTC)

Lovatc543 There's an issue with that, she's not known/notable as a model. Lead section and infobox are for main occupations. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 02:34, 16 August 2016 (UTC)

Side to side

Both "Side to Side" and "Side To Side" are completely blocked for ONE YEAR and can't be edited now. What should I do? U990467 (talk) 16:07, 29 August 2016 (UTC)

Since we're talking about this article (note that the "Side to Side (song)" is blocked until DECEMBER, when the song will probably be over), I also got a question. Now, the song has entered the Hot 100 and others notable charts, as well its video released and a notable live performance. I still don't understand the reason for the block (probably a war edition). Do you know some user who can unblock the page or do you agree with the block? Music01 (talk) 00:06, 7 September 2016 (UTC)

Lady Gaga - Emmy Award win

Hi there! lady gags just won an Emmy for her son Til It Happens To You for The Hunting Ground. I was wondering if you could add her nomination/win to the Emmy section on her awards page. I would do it, only I am unable to. thanks! Lovatc543 (talk) 03:11, 11 September 2016 (UTC)

Hello, I noticed you are removing a screenshot from the video of Heathens on its article, I find it unnecessary, it's simply a screenshot of the video. Thanks for reading. EthanRossie2000 (talk) 24 September 2016

@EthanRossie2000: it is not "just a simply screenshot". I don't think you understand WP strong policies regarding copyright. Please, read WP:NFCCP. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 19:16, 28 September 2016 (UTC)

Sia - The Greatest

Hey. I see you reverted my edit of the top section under WP:SYN, which is absolutely true, and kind of fine, as long as one might find an acceptable way to mention the 2016 Orlando nightclub shooting in this section, regarding the song's direct connection with it. Feedback? ChrisMartinYoung (talk) 22:23, 18 September 2016 (UTC)

@ChrisMartinYoung: None from Sia's team has confirmed the song/video is about the shooting. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 19:18, 28 September 2016 (UTC)

Sia; artistry and Lead

Hi. When I looked at the ref for Sia's musical styles, I saw that it did not support the assertion at all. I think that what the article says about her style is basically true, but we need to find refs that verify the assertion. Do you see any good sources to use? All the best! -- Ssilvers (talk) 02:26, 3 October 2016 (UTC)

@Ssilvers: I searched everywhere and there's no info about it. I think that was original research. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 03:09, 3 October 2016 (UTC)
Well, let's wait awhile. I am sure that in some interviews, or in some articles about Sia's music, we can find more about her style. -- Ssilvers (talk) 03:28, 3 October 2016 (UTC)

Lemonade Song Covers

I noticed that you reverted several of my edits to songs from Lemonade (Beyoncé album). What would you deem as having a song cover "published"? They were in the CD booklet, just as the covers for "Hold Up" and "Freedom", and yet you haven't reverted those covers. Additionally, they were also published on Beyoncé's official website Beyoncé.com. Thanks, TheKaphox T 22:23, 21 October 2016 (UTC):

@TheKaphox: can you give me the link @ her website where the covers are? Btw, I did revert the other covers, and you added them again. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 14:36, 22 October 2016 (UTC)
@Cornerstonepicker: My apologies, I didn't realise that someone had already added an image for the single cover. I just thought that the article didn't have one, so thought that I ought to include it. The single covers are on found here on Beyoncé's website. TheKaphox T 14:39, 22 October 2016 (UTC)
@TheKaphox: you're just assuming those are the official covers, seems those are photos from the music videos. Look at "Formation", that isn't the official cover. Not on iTunes, or on an streaming service. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 14:45, 22 October 2016 (UTC)
@Cornerstonepicker: I have a physical copy of the album Lemonade. The images listed there are the images that are included in the official liner notes of the CD. This makes me think that they are the official covers. TheKaphox T 14:50, 22 October 2016 (UTC)
@TheKaphox: I know they are featuring in the liner notes, but you're still assuming those are the single covers. It should be removed until a source says "single cover", if there isn't anything on the music services I mentioned before. Again, that isn't the "Formation" cover. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 15:46, 22 October 2016 (UTC)

"No one else is linked"

Dear fellow editor,
The purpose of the present message is to learn from you, not to challenge; so, thank you for reading it in the spirit in which it was written. In this revert, your edit summary implies that: either all listed names should have been linked, or none of them.
This intrigued me because I was unaware of this guideline; I therefore consulted MOS:LINK and also MOS:LIST, but couldn't find an appropriate guideline. I would therefore be very grateful if you would point me to the relevant guideline, whenever convenient. Thank you very much, in advance, for your helpful assistance.
With kind regards;
Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk)(guestbook) 15:28, 25 October 2016 (UTC)

Beyoncé Award Main Image

Hey! Seeing as you seem a bit more adept to Wikipedia than I am, and involved in the "List of awards and nominations received by Beyoncé" page, I was wondering if you could help me out? Is it possible to have a new main image for the page? The previous one is now 7 years old. I'm not overly sure or confident enough to replace the image myself, but I was thinking an image from Beyoncé's recent sweep at the 2016 VMA awards? Maybe this one: http://www.marieclaire.com/celebrity/news/g4004/beyonce-vma-outfits/?slide=2 It'd be much appreciated! Angelic-alyssa (talk) 11:14, 27 October 2016 (UTC)

Hi @Angelic-alyssa:, that image cannot be added to Commons unless it is freely licenced, and it's pretty clear that isn't. It would be better to choose a photo that is already on Commons, than attempt to get a photo you find on the internet uploaded there, as such an image is likely to be copyrighted and copyrighted material is not allowed in WP. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 20:01, 27 October 2016 (UTC)
Hi @Cornerstonepicker:, thanks very much for your response. I appreciate the assistance. Angelic-alyssa (talk) 23:23, 27 October 2016 (UTC)

Roman's Revenge

Hi. I noticed that, on the "Roman's Revenge" article, you reverted my edit claiming that the single wasn't supported by any source. The single is in fact the official cover, as per Spotify and iTunes. I have re-added the single cover to the article. Thanks, TheKaphox T 18:06, 3 November 2016 (UTC)

I'ts ok, you should've stated that in the field "source". However, that's the cover of The Lil Wayne remix, which is the single version, not the album track that features Eminem. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 18:55, 3 November 2016 (UTC)

"Sorry" and "Freedom" covers

I do know that the artworks are derived from her liner notes, but I actually checked to see if they are the official artwork, and they turned out to be the official artwork. Although I admit that I derived it from a rather unreliable website (Josepvinaixa), the blogger had noted that they derived it from the record label (because I've seen him labelling if it is a fanmade cover too). I can't seem to actually find the actual source, but it seems legitimate. Cheers, Nahnah4 (talk | contribs | guestbook) 08:12, 5 November 2016 (UTC)

@Nahnah4: Where did you check those are the official covers? Those are stills from the music videos, check the 'cover' for "Formation". Isn't the official. We can't just assume. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 19:26, 5 November 2016 (UTC)

Daddy Lessons as a single.

Hey, Cornerstonepicker Daddy Lessons was not a single. It was not sent out to radio. These sources show All Night as the 5th single and 4th in the US. [4] [5] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gishmuya (talkcontribs) 22:08, 24 November 2016 (UTC)

@Gishmuya: As I told you in Lemonade's Talk page, there's no way Direct Lyrics or Idolator are better sources than iTunes itself. It doesn't need to be send to radio in order to be a single. It is a single (stand-alone release) on iTunes and Spotify. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 17:32, 25 November 2016 (UTC)

Hi, I'm not sure if you are a fan of Azealia Banks or even know who she is - it is highly evident that you did not check the sources thoroughly. Azealia Banks herself has confirmed these sources, as well as the release date. You should check her Twitter for more information instead of automatically deleting an article about an album that was announced nearly 3 years ago. Banks has also confirmed the recorded songs numerous times-therefore the source that provided the songs was correct. Thanks. Wizardofoz30

@Wizardofoz30: There's a reason why WP only works with WP:RELIABLE SOURCES, if none of them have reported about it, is for a reason. Some random Twitter account owned by unknown people and that unreliable website are not WP material.. wait until the album is released to consider it notable/encyclopedic. It is also failing WP:TOOSOON. You may be a fan of hers, but this is not a fan blog. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 05:51, 29 December 2016 (UTC)

Hi, I was wondering if you could help me improve this article. There are a lot of people who are vandalizing the article and not referencing. I would really appreciate it. Thanks! Wizardofoz30 —Preceding undated comment added 02:12, 31 December 2016 (UTC)

If you don't reply soon, I'm reverting the article back. And I suggest actually watching Moana first in English and reviewing the transcript of the Miranda interview before you reply. It looks much better when your opinions are based on the actual content at issue. --Coolcaesar (talk) 21:05, 24 February 2017 (UTC)

Picture used in article Dangerous Woman (album)

Hello! (I don't found any "talk" page so I decided published here). Then, you removed the picture added upon the article of Dangerous Woman album. That picture is on album's liner notes, so its licensed and the photo of Fifth Harmony is present in the group's official site and social media. Can you tell me how add an acceptable "license" in both pictures? Thanks for attention. LikeGaga '(Talk)' 02:15 5, March 2017 —Preceding undated comment added 03:15, 5 March 2017 (UTC)

@LikeGaga: A picture you normally find in websites have copyright and are not free to be used on WP Commons. This is an example of a licensed picture. In fact, users in Commons tend to use files made available under the CC0 1.0 Universal Public Domain Dedication. This is an example of the latter. Copyright is an important issue to WP. Vandalism on Halo article

Hi. A user vandalized the Halo song article changing Kelly Clarkson's accusation about Already Gone to some joke about Kanye West. Im still new to Wikipedia and don't know how to change it back. I was hoping you can help. Kind regards Andrea353 (talk) 18:00, 23 May 2017 (UTC)

Hi. In regards to refer to the aforementioned genres in a precise manner. NME Review says "‘Sounds Good Feels Good’ is obviously more pop than punk", which sounds a little too vague. 183.171.183.81 (talk) 14:46, 4 June 2017 (UTC)

"Slide" genre(s)

Hi User:Cornerstonepicker, I sourced all the genres on Slide (Calvin Harris song) myself a while back, but knowing what I know now I'm not sure whether the song is being called these genres or the production of the song is. Since you make important edits to many music articles, can you please take a close look at the sources and let me know if you think they're worded in a way that makes it acceptable for them to be used as genres? Here [11], [12], [13], thanks.--Theo Mandela (talk) 04:13, 9 June 2017 (UTC)

@Theo Mandela: personally, I avoid using Forbes contributors as references for music genres, critical reception, and that stuff, per WP:PUS. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 05:09, 9 June 2017 (UTC)
Ok User:Cornerstonepicker, overall do you think any genres need to go or the sources specifically call the song these genres? Thanks. --Theo Mandela (talk) 05:44, 9 June 2017 (UTC)
yeah I think "Pop", "funk" and "nu disco" are properly sourced. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 17:47, 9 June 2017 (UTC)
Thanks User:Cornerstonepicker, is this just because you don't see Forbes as reliable, or do you think they're not directly calling this song R&B and pop? I'm concerned that "production... that blends..." doesn't equate to this song being R&B and pop, thanks again.--Theo Mandela (talk) 10:15, 12 June 2017 (UTC)
@Theo Mandela: Both. I don't see Forbes contributors as reliable. The magazine/website has its own staff and also contributors. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 00:58, 15 June 2017 (UTC)
