Beta Theta Pi

[edit]

Some comments on the addition of notable Beta Theta Pi. See List of Beta Theta Pi members for a much longer entries. I believe both of those that you added are already there. Glad to see you helping with this!Naraht (talk) 00:54, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Whoops! I just added 2 more before I saw this, but thank you that's helpful. I did not realize that was already another article. Cmurph2218 (talk) 01:28, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
NP. I think it is a reasonable question as to how much on Mike Piazza belongs on the Beta Theta Pi page given the existence of a page specifically about Piazza. Not saying that you shouldn't add, just to recognize that others may have different opinions.

Let me know if you have any questions on working on pages about Fraternities, feel free to drop me a question or ask on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Fraternities and Sororities.Naraht (talk) 00:56, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

List of Beta Theta Pi Members

[edit]

I took at a look at List of Beta Theta Pi members and there is a lot of work to clean it up. While the original author DIDouglass did a good job of copying the information from the now archived page at https://web.archive.org/web/20090226013641/http://www.betathetapi.org/dmdocuments/beta-quick-facts.pdf , there appear to have been many added that aren't actually in the old beta-quick-facts and without a reference for each entry (to be fair a few have, just very inconsistently), it is difficult to know which are *are* actually on the quick facts page and which aren't. For example while the first (Bartlett) and fourth (Courtice) are in the quick facts, the second and third don't appear to be. I'm saying that David Ross Boyd *isn't* a brother, I'm just saying that for this page there is no reference. (On Boyd's own page, it references it to 1905 Catalogue which appears to be a correct reference, but that should be copied to the list page.

Yes, this is for lack of a better term Grimy work, but definitely useful.Naraht (talk) 08:29, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

List of Beta Theta Pi Chapters

[edit]

On a different matter, the page List of Beta Theta Pi chapters has been reworked in the last year or so by a member of the Wikiproject. However they use the term Prime in a way that I'm not sure that Beta Theta Pi does. For chapter letters that have been reassigned (like Omega being first at the US Naval Academy and now at Berkeley, is there any term such as Prime or First used for the first usage at the Naval Academy? That isn't the only one).Naraht (talk) 08:29, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
