[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at 2021 Skate America, you may be blocked from editing. Per WP:LIVESCORE sports results are not included till the end of the competition. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 18:55, 24 October 2021 (UTC)
@Sportsfan 1234: This is common practice in the figure skating editing community. I don't see how it's your business or right to police my ability to do this. It is not vandalism, and my reporting is accurate. Please stop deleting my edits. Go ahead and report me if you really feel so strongly. I have reviewed the page you're referring to, and there is nothing there prohibiting me from continuing. Clemkr (talk) 18:59, 24 October 2021 (UTC)
- Ignore him. WP:LIVESCORES is not an actual policy outside of the snooker community, and figure skating most assuredly does not fit into that category. 😂😂😂 Bgsu98 (Talk) 00:15, 15 November 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Marilena Kitromilis moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Marilena Kitromilis, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:

[edit]Sorry, I shouldn't have reverted multiple times. Nevertheless, MOS:FLAG states plainly that flags aren't necessary at all and in unclear situations should be avoided. I won't continue to argue this point, though. I genuinely appreciate all of your contributions to figure skating articles and I'm sorry if I've upset you. Hergilei (talk) 02:20, 23 January 2022 (UTC)
@Hergilei: It appears that we aren't going to come together on this. I still disagree that the page you've linked is applicable to this situation as I don't see how "country represented" would be confused with citizenship. There really is no lack of clarity, in my opinion. He represents Poland. He formerly represented Russia. That much is inarguable. That page has been a pet project of mine since it was a draft all the way back in 2017, so I perhaps feel a bit more defensive than I ordinarily would. We can leave it alone. Edit summary field
[edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.
Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Abbyjjjj96 (talk) 02:22, 11 February 2022 (UTC)

The article Hektor Giotopoulos Moore has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Like most people and most things in life...
[edit]You're kind of right, and kind of wrong. And Prax is kind of right, and kind of wrong. ANI is not really fit for purpose, especially in non-black-and-white situations where people are kind of right, and kind of wrong.
If, after the dust settles a little, you'd like some help trying to resolve this outside of the crucible of ANI, let me know. If you're pretty much done with WP, I guess I understand that too. --Floquenbeam (talk) 17:33, 19 April 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you, I really do appreciate that. Like you said, I feel like things wouldn't have come to this point had they not started out so pointedly. I don't take well to being spoke down to or given unconstructive criticism. I do care about being here, and I do feel genuinely emotional about this situation. Having that called into question by others on ANI hurt. I am still a person, not an emotionless editing bot. I can see Prax's point, but I wish it had been delivered in a way that wasn't so spiteful. Drmies getting involved just felt like unnecessary fuel to the fire. I'm not stupid. I know what needs to be done, but there are certainly instances in this situation where I was in the right in my editing, and I wish that would be acknowledged. Clemkr (talk) 17:44, 19 April 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Clemkr, I saw this too late to open my big mouth, but Levivich's statement at ANI about the sources you had included suggests you were treated harshly. You say you can see Prax's point; that's both generous and shows you appreciate that we need to be careful with BLPs. I hope you do return; up to you, but that's what I really wanted to say. Yngvadottir (talk) 02:03, 20 April 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for saying that. I've spent four years on this site trying to contribute in a meaningful way, and resolving the few conflicts that have arisen along the way in a respectful and empathetic manner. I regret that I was not given the opportunity to do that in this situation, and I don't know that I will ever be afforded that from the user in question. It is difficult to want to continue here when I have little faith that the same behavior won't continue. I was not exaggerating when I said that this whole ordeal has impacted me emotionally, and that, coupled with the lack of empathy shown in the ANI is what prompted me to choose retirement. At this point, I do not know if I will return, but I appreciate you, Levivich, and Floquenbeam showing me grace during throughout this troubling situation. Perhaps there are things I could have done differently, but I tried my best, and I never intended to act in a way that would hurt another user or this project. It hurts to be bullied, even when you're a grown up. Clemkr (talk) 02:12, 20 April 2022 (UTC)
- If you decide to come back I'd like to work with you on some edits or something. I'm sure I can learn a thing or two. I'm sorry for what happened to you and I, like others, think you were so gracious throughout the unfortunate discussion. Empathy is not something that comes natural for a lot of people. I know others see things differently but I believe empathy and understanding is crucial to remaining collaborative and I am so relieved there are others that see it the same way as I. Yes, it involves temperance and possibly a little effort on the part of those involved but the reward is seeing another human being blossom and maybe growing a little ourselves. Is it an expressed policy requirement? lol No, remaining neutral and indifferent in understanding of policy might be doable but the way we communicate those policies with our fellow human beings and the way we administer those policies should never be done with indifference. There is an element of compassion and empathy that should be shared among every editor that truly wants the encyclopedia to become better because that means more effective collaboration. I'm just as guilty as the next. There are times my temperance is worn thin, especially in cases where I feel new editors are being pushed around by experienced editors. That is no excuse for forgetting that those experienced editors are human too and I have to work on how I respond. All that to say this, you are valued as an editor here, just as much as anyone else, and I think that is clearly shown by those that have responded. I certainly do not blame you if you choose to not return but I hope you will give it consideration. --ARoseWolf 15:00, 20 April 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hi @Clemkr: I reviwed your article as part of the WP:NPP article review process. The article is only referenced to a profile which has been generated from a database. These database generated profiles are no longer sufficient per the recent RFC. The consensus now that these articlse must have genuine secondary showing the person is notable, i.e. not only from a database. It is a WP:BLP after all. All you have is copied the information from the profile and put in a load of content that is not sourced. I'm sending it to draft where you can work on it. Once its done give me a shout and I'll send it back to mainspace. Great article apart from that. Hope that helps. scope_creepTalk 10:05, 2 December 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Lucas Broussard
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Lucas Broussard requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lucas Broussard. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. New Russian pair
[edit]Hi! You recently added a newly dissolved and a newly formed Russian pair to the current skating season article. I could be wrong, but judging by the source title, you’ve got them backward. You might want to double-check and be sure they’re correct. I don’t want to monkey with the table; those edits are not my strong suit. --Dr.Margi ✉ 17:14, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads up. I believe I have them correct. Kaganovskaya/Angelopol and Pasechnik/Nekrasov both dissolved. Kaganovskaya/Nekrasov has been formed. Clemkr (talk) 19:57, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
- You do. I went back and looked again, and it was the mark-up that confused me. Sorry about that! --Dr.Margi ✉ 23:57, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
- No worries! Clemkr (talk) 01:40, 13 September 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Bgsu98. I noticed that you recently removed content from Madeline Schizas without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.
