Orphaned non-free image File:Fall In Line (Music video).png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Fall In Line (Music video).png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hayman30 (talk) 10:45, 30 May 2018 (UTC)
Starting a new RfC
[edit]Hi, in this edit you included a |rfcid=
parameter. This is not a good idea, since Legobot (talk · contribs) generates and sets these in order to keep its own data tables synchronised, and enable correct linking to ongoing discussions. What is worse, you re-used a value that had previously been (legitimately) issued here, with the result that your new RfC was being given the wrong page title here. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 10:24, 31 May 2018 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Olaplex
[edit]Hello CerberaOdollam,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Olaplex for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.
Natureium (talk) 18:45, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
If you wish to request undeletion of the page, please see Requests for Undeletion. It can be restored to draft space for you to work on - please remember however that Wikipedia isn't for promotion. Thanks! ƒirefly ( t · c · who? ) 11:27, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
Blocked
[edit]{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
. ~Anachronist (talk) 20:49, 19 June 2018 (UTC)You were given a clear and unambiguous final warning by User:Fuhghettaboutit here, knowing full well that your next violation would result in an indefinite block. Nevertheless you created an article (Olaplex) that was largely a verbatim copy of text from this page on Women's Health magazine. ~Anachronist (talk) 20:49, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
@Anachronist: Yes. I used content from that website and I cited the source too. but the whole article was NOT a C&P. All of the articles contain contents from sources. Do you want me to makeup information from myself and add it to the article? Why are you so cruel and unfair to the users? What happened to do not bite the newcomers?? Block after one single warning?? My only purpose was to add a useful article to WP and you respond me this way? Is it Wikipedia's policy to disaffect & surfeit the users to do no more contributions? I'm french I speak 3 languages. English is not my first language. If what I've done is considered to be violation it was absolutely unintentional and unwitting.
- About 90% of it, as far as I could tell, was word-for-word identical to text in that Women's Health article. This isn't cruel and unfair, this is keeping the Wikipedia project safe by ensuring that all activity on it is legal. Your activity was illegal, and puts the Wikimedia Foundation (the publisher of your work) in legal jeopardy. You were also given fair warning. It is not unusual to give users just one warning before a block, if the activity that led to the warning had been particularly serious and repeated multiple times, as yours was. It was clear that you did not heed the warning, you chose to ignore it. Choices have consequences. ~Anachronist (talk) 14:33, 20 June 2018 (UTC)

Decline reason:
Whole chunks of "your" article were copied word-for-word from the Women's Health article. If you are not able to understand why that is a massive problem (as well as being technically illegal), you have no place editing here. Yunshui 雲水 08:28, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Decline reason:
This is not relevant to your block. You need to convince us you understand our policies on WP:COPYRIGHT and WP:FAIRUSE and you understand how serious your violations were, and you'll need to convince us we can be sure you'll never again repeat those actions. Please read WP:GAB to understand how to craft a viable unblock request. Thanks. Yamla (talk) 13:54, 20 June 2018 (UTC)

- Please don't remove declined unblock requests while you're still blocked. I have restored them for you. —Wasell(T) 13:48, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
@Yamla: I said that EN is not my 1st language. I didn't read that policy completely. I did say that it was absolutely unintentional and unwitting. What else can I do to 'convince' you? Blocking a user after just ONE warning makes no sense. CerberaOdollam (talk) 15:44, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
- There is no requirement that a user should be warned more than once before being blocked - nor even that they must be warned at all. See WP:BEFOREBLOCK which says
warnings are not a prerequisite for blocking
andusers acting in bad faith, whose main or only use is forbidden activity (sockpuppetry, vandalism, and so on), do not require any warning and may be blocked immediately
. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 16:46, 20 June 2018 (UTC) - Note that I have reviewed your unblock request and declined it, so you don't need to convince me of anything. However, what you need to do to convince someone else is to explain in your own words, WP:COPYRIGHT and WP:FAIRUSE, convince us you understand how serious your violation was, and convince us we can trust it'll never happen again. This is so we can be sure you understand and so we can be sure you don't place the project in further legal jeopardy. Copyright and fair-use is notoriously hard to understand even for people who speak English as their first language. We aren't doing this to punish you, we are doing it because your actions were placing the entire project at risk and that simply can't happen. --Yamla (talk) 17:04, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
@Redrose64: 'acting in bad faith'???? BAD FAITH??? What you're doing is WP:AOBF. My only aim was to create a useful article. I was in a hurry, didn't have enough time so yes I used the sources' content to just make the article sooner. I wanted to work on it and improve it but they deleted it right away. I requested for undeletion and suddenly they blocked my account for copyright. That article was deleted, they blocked me for making an article that was already deleted so there was no copyright problem anymore. It was deleted, they explained why and I understood my mistake, done. There was no need for that user to jump in and block me immediately. CerberaOdollam (talk) 07:01, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
@Yamla: What do you mean I need to to convince someone else? convince who? Apparently there's no one here to listen to me and 'explain in your own words'? So what do you think I'm doing? That's exactly what I am doing. There are never-ending vandalisms in this website, there a lot of defective articles in the website and many more problems You put all that aside and stick to me? Is my oversight that much worse than those? I request the unblocking of my account. And if I were to be unblocked, I would not repeat the mistake again. CerberaOdollam (talk) 07:01, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, your violation was much worse. Rather than vandalising an article, you put the entire project in legal jeopardy. Furthermore, you don't seem to get it. You say things like "I was in a hurry, didn't have enough time so yes I used the sources' content to just make the article sooner". That convinces us that if we were to unblock you, you might do the same thing again. It convinces us that you don't understand how serious your violations were. I suggest taking a break, then thoroughly reading WP:COPYRIGHT and WP:FAIRUSE, then crafting a new unblock request for someone else to review. You'll need to clearly demonstrate that you really do understand why your violations were much worse than regular vandalism, and convince us you thoroughly understand these policies, by explaining them in your own words. --Yamla (talk) 11:40, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Yamla: I described what I DID not what I WILL DO. I said I didn't put enough time to make that article so the copyright mistake happened. I did read WP:COPY and I'm reading WP:NONFREE. I request the unblocking of my account. I promise not to edit any articles or make a new page until I have a handle on this policy. CerberaOdollam (talk) 13:59, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
- You need to make an unblock request if you want to have your block reviewed. WP:GAB explains how. Note that you won't be unblocked until we are sure you already have a handle on WP:COPY and WP:FAIRUSE. --Yamla (talk) 14:04, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
