Cris Cyborg - request for help
Hi Cassiopeia, IP user 136.49.166.71 has edited the Cris Cyborg talk page in a way that ignores the consesus about the issue reached on the article's talk page (here). After I reverted it and wrote on their talkpage, they undid my revert. I reverted again, but I'm fairly certain they don't inted to stop editing the article in a way that goes directly against the talkpage consensus. I feel like this constitutes for disruptive editing, but I'm not sure what steps should I take in such situation, as I don't feel like I know/understand enough about the wiki rules regarding this. I also want to avoid reverting the article anymore times. Because of this I decided to ask you, if you could either look at this issue, or advise me on what would be the right thing to do here. Thank you a lot for your time. Diana056 (talk) 23:19, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
- Diana056 Good day. First of all do use the instructions Wikipedia:Simple diff and link guide when providing hist diff/diff (edit made link) for it is much easier to identify what has changed and manoeuvre the edit made. Secondly the the IP user has since stop changing the edit after your revert and your warning to the user on their talk page. If such behavior continues, you can report the user to WP:ANI and pls read the info/instruction prior making the report. However, to say that, bring an editor to ANI is the last resort and please do not do it often. Have a discussion on the article talk page or their user page first and if they still behave in such fashion, then go to ANI and do note it would be a very stressful/emotionally charge environment and I dont recommand it until the it is really necessary. As for Nina Ansaroff name changed pls readWP:COMMONNAME for my revert and there is a discussion of name change for the article at the talk page. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia(talk) 06:24, 9 April 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you. Diana056 (talk) 08:14, 9 April 2021 (UTC)
- Diana056 I saw both of your reverting each other edits and please go do ANI for this happen too many times to get admin intervention. Do not edit/change the content and info and wait for the out come of the closing discussion of the ANI. Cassiopeia(talk) 08:38, 12 April 2021 (UTC)
- Okay, I will do that. Thank you for your help.Diana056 (talk) 08:45, 12 April 2021 (UTC)

- Diana056 Saw your edit on Nunes/Pena pages for the WBW title fight. With the way you provided the source, it will not able to find it (dead link) if the source is moved to different path/location by the site. It is better to use the full citation methods. In Wikipedia, you can cite the source (1) Manually or (2) using Wikipedia:VisualEditor (VE). To cite the see [source manually from internet site - use horizontal format of Template:Cite web. If you use WP:Visual Editor then you need to enable it first. Once it is enable, click "Cite" on the manu on top of the page and all you need to do is to paste the URL into the field and the rest of the fields will automatically fill for you. However, sometimes the author info might not be captured by VE. Besides citing sources from the web, you can also cite sources from other media such as book, journal and etc. If VE could not capture the info from the URL, then you have the option to manfully key in the info in VE. Cassiopeia(talk) 05:45, 16 April 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you for letting me know, I will be doing this from now on when providing sources to my edits. Diana056 (talk) 07:59, 16 April 2021 (UTC)

List of UFC champions
In topic Bantamweight Championship, Aljamain Sterling is american, mas he is jamaican. He was born in the United States, but he has ancestry with jamaica and always represents jamaica in the UFC. It is different, for example, from Cain Velasquez, Anthonny Pettis who has ancestry with Mexico, but does not represent Mexico in competitions, despite having the support of Mexico.
I'm sending a link that shows the UFC broadcast of Aljamain Sterling's fight against Petr Yan and the flag of Jamaica appears next to his name. He OFFICIALLY represents Jamaica, although he also has the support of the Americans.

- João Fernandes Santos Good day. First of all, Utube is not a reliable or independent sources (UFC is considered not independent as it related/associate with Sterling since Sterling fight under UFC) and secondly Sterling was born and raised in US. Many fighters represent other countries besides their birth country for many reasons, and some would even represent the whole world (one world concept) but at the end of the day he is still an American. List of UFC champions
I would like to ask you not to change the "Multi-Division Champions" topic, because I corrected.
It is wrong to count the days of the provisional title in the "Multi-Division Champions", if the topic "The longest combined reigns" don't count. If you count, you have to count on both topics, right?
And if you count, George Saint Pierre will have 2349 days, as he had 112 days as an interim champion and not 119 days. You can check.
And McGregor was a lightweight champion for 511 days, not 611 days. If you go to the "Men's Lightweight Championship History" topic, you will confirm this information.
And in the title history of any division, you will see that the "X" number of days in the provisional titles is not counted, because champions interim are challenger and not the king of the division. They don't have reign.
thank you for answering me kindly in the other topic — Preceding unsigned comment added by João Fernandes Santos (talk • contribs) 06:15, 16 April 2021 (UTC)
- João Fernandes Santos Look, I have informed you twice to sign your post and as a Wikipedia, pls do the what is rightful and follow the guidelines. If the days were counted wrongly, then change them. Pls again, do remember to sign you post. Cassiopeia(talk) 06:27, 16 April 2021 (UTC)

Danielle Taylor - I think you made a mistake.
It said that she fought her entire career under the KOTC banner, but that's obviously not the case when she has fought in another organization. Please re-delete that content that you restored. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gnome On (talk • contribs) 00:54, 18 April 2021 (UTC)

New Page Patrol School
Hi, you nominated my latest article for deletion so it is only appropriate to ask you to become my mentor. I had recently applied for new page reviewer rights and was told that while I qualified with my attitude I needed more editing experience, complimented with some mentoring from experienced editors. So here I am! Let me know if you are available. Thank you! nearlyevil665 20:55, 17 April 2021 (UTC)
- nearlyevil665 Good day. WP:NPPSCHOOL program is a comprehensive program which requires the participant to spend time to read provided material (WP pages) and do the assignments. The project consists of 3 parts with 10 assignments and 1 final exam. It covers notability, sources, tagging, wiki project, subsort, wiki content policies, CSD, PROPS, AfD, communication, review and much more topics. Participant usually takes 2-3 months to complete the program (it depends how much time you spend on the program), but there is no time frame set to complet the the program as each editor works on the assignments on their own pace.
- Many participant abandoned the program due to the find they need to spend more time on the assignments/reading material as they anticipate the amount of work and time needed. Once you have complete the program, you would equip with the knowledge to review new pages. If you have some personal commitment and need to take more than 7-10 days to work on the assignment, then just simply let me know. Let me know if you are still interest to join the program after reading the info above and if so, then pls complete the WP:TWA first which might take you 90 mins to complete. Pop back here once you have done. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia(talk) 08:40, 18 April 2021 (UTC)
- Cassiopeia Thanks for the swift reply! I understand the mentoring comes with a commitment and I confirm I have the motivation and opportunity to clock in the time required to complete the course. I nearly always have at least an hour of free time for Wikipedia every day (unless something unpredictable happens, like I or someone under my care contracts the you know what). I completed the WP:TWA as instructed. nearlyevil665 15:26, 18 April 2021 (UTC)
- nearlyevil665 I have set up the program for you. Welcome to NPPS. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia(talk) 02:59, 19 April 2021 (UTC)

UFC 262 poster
@CASSIOPEIA I know how to upload the poster but do I need to add any info I’m at wiki common UFCFan26099292 (talk) 00:11, 21 April 2021 (UTC)
- UFCFan26099292 Since it is the UFC event poster, you can upload it as a file in Wikipedia (File) instead of Wiki Common. Use this as the example (see in edit mode and change the poster and relevant info). Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia(talk) 00:42, 21 April 2021 (UTC)
- Okay, thank you. Also I uploaded a file to Colby Covington and posted it to his page. Is it an okay file? UFCFan26099292 (talk) 00:53, 21 April 2021 (UTC)
- Wait how would I edit/make it? UFCFan26099292 (talk) 00:57, 21 April 2021 (UTC)
- UFCFan26099292 First of all I have change my user name from all high cap to sentence case more than a year ago. So you can called me Cassiopeia / Cass. Secondly, you dont need to ping me / or any editors if you write on their talk page as they will receive the notification anyway; however, you nee to ping the editor if you write a message in any other talk page (including your talk page) so they could receive the notification. Lastly, do add additonal ":" (colon} from the previous message thread for one space indentation to the right as this is the Wikipedia communication protocol in talk page to separate the messages.
- If Covington is an image you want to upload, then you need to do it in Wiki common. Make sure the image is free if copyright restriction, such as you are own the image (you are the one who took the photo), or the image is allowed to used under reusable Creative Commons CC BY license. Pls read Wikipedia:Image use policy and Wikipedia:Uploading images. I have uploaded all the UFC fighters Creative Commons CC BY license I could find so far and hope more could be allocated. Once you have uploaded the image in Wiki Common then you can copy the file name and add them in Wikipedia pages. Pls do not upload and image is where the image is strictly copyright protected. If the "file" you mentioned aready in Wikipedia or Wiki Common, you can add it on the fighter page. However, to say that, if the file or image is not free of copyright restricted (means it is file/image is a copyright violation), then the image eventually will be deleted from Wikipedia. Let me know if you have any questions and pls state them in details so I know what you mean. Cassiopeia(talk) 01:11, 21 April 2021 (UTC)
Oh okay. UFCFan26099292 (talk) 02:15, 21 April 2021 (UTC)
Antonina Shevchenko
Just as a heads up, in Antonina's article you removed three sources instead of two like you said in the edit summary, and the only source you left up is the source you said was insufficient. I'm assuming that was a mistake, so it would be good if you added the 1 acceptable source back (idk which one you meant, so I can't do that myself). Diana056 (talk) 22:48, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
- Diana056 Actually 3 of the 4 sources are not reliable and and left the wrong one and I have restored the right one. Thank you for informing me. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia(talk) 06:05, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
Seeking help with an article containing original research
Hello, we've interacted in the past and I've always found you approach helpful and your commitment Wikipedia guidelines admirable. I've discovered what I believe is a fairly severe violation of Wikipedia guidelines on original research and source reliability in the Care.com article. I've posted about it on the article's talk page, but no other editors have responded. Since I am a paid contributor (my COI is declared on the Talk page in multiple places), I am extremely reluctant to just act unilaterally. My hope is that you would be willing to take a look at my description of the problem on the Talk page and offer up an opinion to help get the ball rolling on some type of consensus, not matter what it ends up being.
https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Talk:Care.com
Before posting there, I described the situation to two editors I've worked with in the past, and they both agreed that this is a problem at some level. If things remain quiet, I'll also ask them to participate in the Talk page discussion as well. Thanks for your time and I'm looking forward to hearing what you think of the situation. Could you train me in WP:CVUA?
Hello, I recently started editing on Wikipedia. I tend to edit a lot of political pages, so by nature it is prone to vandalism. I was wondering if you could train me in how to more easily spot vandalism and how to take it down effectively. Although English is not my first language, I always try to get better and better. Thank you very much, SaxyGuy (talk) 23:18, 21 April 2021 (UTC)
- SaxyGuy Thank you for interested in CUVA program. The participate needs min 200 main space edits to join the program and you have only 35 total main edits at present - see here. Once you have reach more than 200 total main edits and you still want to participate in the program then let me know. In the mean time, pls complete WP:TWA to familiar some of the fundamental Wikipedia guidelines (only take 90-12 mins). Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia(talk) 06:53, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
Hey Cassiopeia, how's everything going? Hopefully well. In the article of Slovak athlete Tajmuraz Salkazanov I had added he's a naturalized Slovak of Russian origins, as correct, and the user I mentioned above first reverted it and said "why you deleted his natialisty? he's a Russian and have never refused his natinality" which I just ignored because that's literally pointed out. Then another user reverted it and put it like I had, and this guy just goes "are you dumb?? he has a Russian citizenship, he is not slovak heritage. He is still Russian" and reverts it. I then added his win at Euros yesterday and also fixed it once again, this guy reverts again, I revert again (didn't break the rule, just reverted twice), and he just goes "chilean kunt" and changes like "Russian origins" to Russian origins or something like that. I don't know what was up there, so I'm just informing right away as ur basically the only admin ik. Idk if he broke a rule or if aggressiveness is penalized, but there u go, thx. PabloLikesToWrestle (talk) 13:43, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
- PabloLikesToWrestle Thank you for the message above. Pls note that there are 2 edit warring in Wikipedia (1) 3RR which the involved editor reverts the same content back more than 3 fight within 24 hr on the same page. When the involved editor has made their 3rd, a warning message could be place in their talk page - see Template:3rr and invite the involed editor to the article talk page (make sure you ping them -and if the editor is an IP editor, then you need to place a message on their talk page to notifiy them there is a message for them in the article talk page for IP editor would not receive any automatic notification). (2) edit warring that does not involve 24 hrs time frame - edit warring can happen as long as the involved editor keep on (in days or weeks) reverting the content back to and not inviting other involved editors to discuss the issues in the article talk page. The point here is not to keep on reverting but have a civil discussion of content dispute to reach a resolution. So pls do not change/edit anything for here on (important), and you can invite the editor to the article talk page and have a discussion. Btw, both of the content can be used as long as they are sourced by independent. reliable source(s). Normally, we would put "XXX is a Russian-born Slovakian wrestler/mma fighter...", but we could write them in different ways as well. However to say all that, User Baroni has committed WP:Personal attack twice and it is very disappointing as User Baroni has been a long time editor and should know such comments - "dumb" and "chilean kunt" which the later clearly ponted toward you as you are from Chile, are not acceptable at all and against Wikipedia guidelines. I have placed a warning personal attack warning message on the editor talk page. You can report the editor to WP:ANI (make sure you read the instructions prior starting writing the report (need to provide hist diff - see Wikipedia:Simple diff and link guide instructions]] and I believe he will blocked for a period of time because of those edits. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia(talk) 06:47, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
- Hello. Thank u for the info about edit warring, now it's much clearer. Yea that's the thing, imo he makes it hard to even notice that the guy of the article isn't in fact only Russian, probably because he's biased by his nationality. He wants to put it like "... is a Russian wrestler. He won ... while competing for Slovakia", which literally makes it seem like he's not Slovakian. This bias is made clearer by the insults, as he shows he's mad when the description of the article doesn't represent it as 100% Russian. Anyway, thank you for your assistance as always Cassiopeia, God bless. PabloLikesToWrestle (talk) 13:38, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
- PabloLikesToWrestle Let me know if you are going to report the editor for personal attack.13:42, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
Another username
I don't imagine that User:Casspedia's choice of unsername was intentionally similar, but it has a lot of resonance with yours. just a heads up. --- Possibly (talk) 03:09, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
- Possibly Thanks for the head up. I think the editor name is Cass and add suffix "-pedia" / education. Mine is Cassiopeia, one of the constellations in the northern hemisphere, named after the mother of Andromeda, the vain queen of Aethiopia in Greek mythology. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia(talk) 03:22, 24 April 2021 (UTC)

Hi, I would like to be trained to counter-vandalism. I've been using RTRC and Twinkle to monitor and revert changes recently and I find it useful. My time zone is GMT+8. Thank you in advance. YehWolf [🐺] 03:55, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
- YehWolf, good day. Thank you for interested in joining CVUA. You have total 64 main edits as per - see here today and the min total main space of 200 is needed for editors to participate the program. Could you train me?
Three weeks ago, I asked you to train me. But then I disinterested myself. I have regained interest. Can you teach me how to fight vandalism? Remember that I am not a native speaker and I may not understand some words. Dr Salvus 16:22, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) Dr Salvus, go to Special:RecentChanges, search for the filters "Likely bad faith", "Very likely bad faith" and "Latest revision" and revert bad things. Also enable Twinkle in your preferences if you haven't already. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 16:32, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
- Dr Salvus Good day. I have wrote a very long message to you last time and given you some advice. I also given the opportunity to join the program even you seem having a lot of problem not reading the guidelines. However, you were not able to complete the simple TWA which was request of you several times and wanted to join the program so you may have certain user right is not the right intention in mind. To be a courter vandalism editor is for those editors who would like to work on this area in Wikipedia for a long term and not something having and lost interest in a matter of a month. I could not able to help you as you have been blocked. The program would only accept editor who are free from blocked 6 months after their last block. Stay safe. Cassiopeia(talk) 10:35, 25 April 2021 (UTC)
Patience. I will learn to fight self-taught vandalism Dr Salvus 11:01, 25 April 2021 (UTC)

List of ONE Championship champion
I understood your concept about the Aljamain Sterling being American, because he was born and raised in the United States. Afterwards, I saw that he never lived in Jamaica, although his parents are Jamaican but it is complicated, because on other pages of MMA peoples don't have this understanding
On page of the "One championship, they directly change the nationality of Brandon Vera. He was born and raised in the United States. Angela and Christian Lee are Canadian, but they keep changing their nationality to Singapore.
I only wanted warn.— Preceding unsigned comment added by João Fernandes Santos (talk • contribs) 04:55, April 26, 2021 (UTC)
- João Fernandes Santo Good day and again, I believe this is the 4th time I have advised you to sign off with (4 x ~) at the end of your message for this is is the communication protocol in Wikipedia. There are many guidelines in Wikipedia and if you intend to be a long term editor (to be a Wikipedian), then pls read and follow the guidelines provided and take the advice of the more experienced editor for it is very tiring to keep on informing/reminding you and you continue to do the same thing.
- Before answering your questions above, pls note some background info/guidelines first. Wikipedia content needs to be supported by (1) independent, reliable source to support the content claimed for verification. The editor who add/change the content need to provide the source (inline citation) - see WP:BURDEN / WP:PROVEIT.
- Now back to you questions above. If Brandon Vera was born in US and Angela and Christian Lee were born in Canada and all of them are still the citizen of their birth countries (some countries do not recognize duel citizenship and would request the person to forgo one of the citizenship either by their birth country government or by their adopted century government) and their birth countries could be verified by independent, reliable sources than nationality of the birth countries should be used for the reason that the subject could have more than one adopted countries citizenship but only one country of birth, except if the subject just happened to born in country X for less than a month or two and move to other country and live there their whole life for some countries would not give the citizenship if you dont live there even you were born there).
- Now how do we due with different editors disagree with the content (content dispute)? If involved editors keep on revert each other edits, then invite the involved editors to the article talk page (pls ping them and also send a message on the editors' talk pages if they are IP editors as they would not get a notification from the ping) to discuss the issue in "civil" manner and always discuss the issues at hand and not attacking the editors. The discussion should be based on Wikipedia guidelines and seek a agreeable resolution. If discussion does not get a resolution, you can ask an experienced editor for comment.
- Please also understand editing warring guidelines here - An editor would considered edit warring if they keep on revert the content back to what they have edited. They will subject to in violation of WP:3RR if they revert more than 3 times within 24 hrs time frame on the same article. We can palce Template:3rr warning on their talk page when they have revert 3 times, and if they still continue to do so after they have received the warning, then we could report them to WP:ANEW and the editor will be temporary blocked form editing. The other edit warring does not bound by time frame. As long as the involved editor keep on revert the edit (could be days to weeks) without open an discussion, they are still considered engaging in edit warring. So when it comes to content dispute, communication is the key and discussion would be based on Wikipedia guidelines.
- I saw your edits on List of UFC events and will provide you a list of info on editing mma related articles on your talk page. Pls read them carefully and adhere to the guidelines. Once again, pls do the needful and rightful Please remember to sign your posts on talk pages by typing four tildes (

Could you train me in WP:CVUA?
Hi, I've had some basic experience in counter vandalism but would like to know more. Could you be my trainer for CVUA? Thanks! EpicPupper 21:07, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
- EpicPupper Good day. Thank you for interested in joining the program. Pls note that the program requests a lot of time on material reading and working on assignments. Many participants abandoned the program as they didnt expect the amount of work is needed. Most editors would finish the program in about 10 weeks. Participants would work on the program on their own pace. Let me know if you are still interested to join the program after reading the info above. Stay safe and best.
