Article: Sinha Roy
I got to note that you have moved this article to the draft category. There is only one citation ... That's too "citation needed"! And after all that's my surname and thus I wanted to let everyone know about it. Or atleast as much I know! However at present I am working on it... Please inform me what else to do in order to get it in the main namespace (On my talk page)?

elementary and intermediate schools
Schools cannot be listed in Speedy A7, and on all topics a filled infobox is sufficient content to avoid speedy as empty. The usual practice for elementary and intermediate schools is to turn them into redirects for the school district or locality, merging a sentence of information if necessary. The alternative practice is to list them for PROD. DGG ( talk ) 19:39, 3 March 2018 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for reviewing my article. I just added ISBN numbers. I have a question for you. Why this page Hamed Habibi doesn't come up in search pages? Needs to be approved? Thanks. Pegaah (talk) 08:23, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Pegaah: Hi Greetings and thank you for adding the ISBN # in the page. I tried to search the ISBN #s on the next in various internet sites (English), yet I could not find the info for verification for I cant review it. Could you able to provide inline citation for the book/novel and insert next to the ISBN. It is ok if the web site is in other languages. Once the page is reviewed then you could find it in the search engine. For citing from the web - see WP:CITEWEB and its template - see Template: cite web. Thank you and have a good day. DEFAULTSORT plus ...
Hallo, I've just stubsorted a batch of South African politicians, and I see you added DEFAULTSORT to some as in this edit.
Do you know about {{subst:L}}
? For hardly any more typing you can create the "Living person" and "Year of birth missing (living person)" categories (or other appropriate birth/death categories as appropriate) as well as the DEFAULTSORT.
- {{subst:L|||Brown, Jane}} - living, birthdate unknown (note that there are TWO empty parameters)
- {{subst:L|1952||Brown, Jane}} - living, born 1952
- {{subst:L|missing|1935|Brown, Jane}} - dead, birth year missing
- {{subst:L|1567|unknown|Brown, Jane}} - dead, death year unknown
etc. I use it all the time when stub-sorting, including over-typing "DEFAULTSORT" when it's already there as being less typing than adding these categories by hand. Might be worth giving it a go? PamD 09:20, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
- @PamD:Hi Pam, Thank you very much for informing and advising the above. Yes I was doing a batch of SA politician review and adding defaultsort. Will give it a try of the above suggestion on next articles. Thank you again and have a good day. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 09:48, 6 March 2018 (UTC)

Soft redirects
Hi there, soft redirects, such as pages tagged with {{wiktionary redirect}}, are valid pages and are specifically excluded from A3. You tagged a few of these last month, for example Bosniakization and Montenegrization (which have been recreated as normal redirects). Aurelio Baruzzi moved to draft
Hi, first of all, thanks for reviewing my article. The article over the late Mr Baruzzi, already exist in the Italian section of Wikipedia. However mine contains more information, and gives a full account of the siege and conquest of Gorizia, which was due to his outstanding action of conquest of the Austrian stronghold position. I, basically, read and summarized, his memories, and conduct some personal researches on the location, and added some researches from the web. List of current UFC fighters
Although the nickname and fighter nationality info is being received from Sherdog, a lot of that information is incorrect. Some of my nickname edits were from UFC directly, and some of the nationalities are incorrect as well. I may suggest getting fighter information from a better source than Sherdog, as most of the nickname information is outdated and incorrect. Thanks.RedKing22 (talk) 17:39, 20 March 2018 (UTC)March 20th, 2018
- @RedKing22: Hi, Greetings to you. Guess you are Rory MacDonald's fan :). I agree with you and other Wikipedians have mentioned that Sherdog info is not as updated as it should be and fighters' country of origins are indicated in the web page. As the fighters' articles (info box and fight results) are based on Sherdog info unless otherwise cited with different source as per Wikipedia MMA Project (see WP:MMABOX), but the list page would use UFC web as the source of info. I have changed the note 2 in the list page and do change the info accordingly based on UFC web site but no other source. Please leave a edit summary before saving your edit as Wikipedia content are contribution from many editors and leaving the edit summaries is a way to inform other editors of what you have changed/added (see Help:Edit summary). Hello I think I added the needed sources for the article (TakisA1 (talk) 17:09, 24 March 2018 (UTC))
- Hi TakisA1, Greetings. Thank you for providing the source. Your cited the source incorrectly for web citing you just page the URL address. You need to provide the necessary information such as author's first and last name, name of the article you sourced from, publication, and access dates. I have provided you the links on my previous message (see here again -webcite - see WP:CITEWEB and its template -see Template: cite web) for your read up and reference. Kindly read them. I have fixed the citing for you; however, one of them I didnt provide full info as the (pdf) info needed to provide is in Greek launguage and I dont know Greek to help you up. Please have a look the reference #4 (last one), if you would help up, kindly do so. Aslo, please note that Wikipedia can not be the source for reference - please see WP:CIRCULAR, for such I have removed one of your reference. Lastly, I have moved the page to article now; however, I wont be able to review for you as your references/sources are in Greek and they come in PDF or scanned format, for I cant get them to translate easily. I will let other reviewers who able to do so to review your article. To say that, the review backlog is huge, so I might take a while before your page could be reviewed. Thank you and happy editing. 02:35, 25 March 2018 (UTC)

Furthermore, as a person of Canaanite descent, I and many others of my background feel that it is appropriation.
The Paleo-Hebrew alphabet (Hebrew: הכתב העברי הקדום), also spelt Palaeo-Hebrew alphabet, is a variant of the Phoenician alphabet.[1] Like the Phoenician alphabet, the Paleo-Hebrew alphabet contains 22 letters, all of which are consonants, and is described as an abjad. The term was coined by Solomon Birnbaum in 1954; he wrote, "To apply the term Phoenician to the script of the Hebrews is hardly suitable".
Soloman openly admits that it is appropriation. LebaneseBebe (talk) 03:39, 25 March 2018 (UTC)

Do note, do not revert more than 2 times in 24 hrs on the same article for it will violate WP:3RR and do not involving in WP:edit warring for you might get ban from editing, instead should the disagreement between the content/your source vs other editors, then invite them to discuss on the article talk page (make sure you ping the editors on their talk pages and article talk page to notify them on the discussion), and seek a resolution. - @Path slopu:, I have explained everything on the message and will do it here again. The external note you provide is official web site which is not an independet source which I stated in the message. You need to provide source to "directly" support the content with "inline citation" which I have provide you the links for details info and the template you can refer to. Please re-read the message again and I strongly you go through WP:The Wikipedia Adventure exerice to understand independent source, verifibility, writing on your own words, citing and etc topics. I had moved Don't Be Cruel Tour to draft space for you to further develop the page with "inline citation" which I have explained and provided you the links such as WP:RS, webcite - see WP:CITEWEB and its template -see Template: cite web. Furthermore I do provide you to channel should you need editing help on WP:Teahouse. You moved the page back to name space without provide any citation/ "independent source" of you claimed in the content page (official website is primary source. I have write to you second time to advice you to provide source but you included some content and without provided source again. - see here [2]. Do note any content added/changed without proper citation would be removed. You need to read the info I provided to you to understand how to submit/write an article for your submitted articles would continue facing rejection from Wikipedia which you have been experiencing. It is no hard to find source for article if the subject has been written in newspaper which you would find in the internet. The articles's inline citation is the WP:BURDEN which it is on the person adding the information.. Kindly adding the source prior the page might be deleted. The learning curve to a little steep for new editors and a lot of reading is need to understand how Wikipedia works. Put in the time to read and ask questions and you will very soon to find your articles accepted by Wikipedia and publish. Hello there,
I appreciate your help on the page of Ali Srour. However, I think you have misunderstood a bit as that page is NOT created by me. It is created by a blocked user. However, that article is useful in nature and can contribute to Wikipedia.
Is it possible that I blank out the current page and create a new one myself? I wish to be an active contributor in publishing pages of popular or potential heroes of future.
Your help would be appreciated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sampanoura (talk • contribs) 08:24, 27 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Sampanoura:, Hi Greetings to you and thank you for the question above. When CSD (criteria for speedy deletion) tag is placed on the page, editors are not supposed to removed it as it will wait for an administrator to gauge if the page should be deleted. As it is tagged under G5 (banned user), and if and once the page is deleted by admstrator, you are welcome to create the page. Do note, please all content needs to support by "direct independence source". If you have further question, pls ping me again. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 08:36, 27 March 2018 (UTC)
- CASSIOPEIA, Hello, thank you so much for your clarification. I will not touch that page for now. Waiting for it to be deleted so I may create it again.
Can you kindly check this article: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Eliya_Cioccolato
It was tagged for removal due to promotional content. I heavily edited it. Please confirm if it is ok.
- Eliya Cioccolato
- @Sampanoura:, Hi, first of all, if you on other editor talk page, (like here in my talk page) you dont need to ping the editor; you only need to ping the editor when you send a message to him/her "outside" the editor's talk page, such as the article talk page, your talk page, and any other pages which you need the editor to know there is a message for him/her. Secondly, please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date.
I have a looked at your page Eliya Cioccolato, since you have re-edited it, it looks better now and you might want to tweak a little to make it sound a little more neutral/formal to make it sound less promotional or it seems like writing by someone who is close to the subject. - Do note the following:
- "All" content in the page needs to support by "reliable independent source" - some of the content in the page at the current stage has no source. Content doesnt support by source would be removed.
- The info on the lead (very top part) is the summary of the body text (no all but the important points). Your page has info on the lead which does not appear in the body text. I do suggest move the background on the lead to "Background" section. - see WP:Lead and MOS:LEADCITE
- Your sources provided mainly from fashion magazines. If you would find info from major newspaper, irregardless the language in the print, it will be better.
- Do check the subject notability for both Eliya Cioccolato and Ali Srour to prevent getting PROD (propose for deletion) - see here for WP:ARTIST and WP:NBOX
- Here is the link for wikitext which you might find it helpful on editing in Wikipedia - see here Help:Wikitext.
- Thank you and have a good day. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 09:15, 27 March 2018 (UTC)
I believe it is misleading to describe this document, at the beginning of the article as "controversial". No serious historian from any country believes it was not fraudulent. This was the reason for my edit. 2A01:CB08:634:DA00:148D:A058:C76:FD3A (talk) 09:10, 27 March 2018 (UTC)
- @2A01:CB08:634:DA00:148D:A058:C76:FD3A: Hi Good day. Thank you for the above message and I understand your reason. The revert was based on it was controversial at the time in 1924 where the letter is found fraudulent now (as per source published in 2014 - maybe it was found fraudulent much earlier). Deletion
Why did you delete my latest edits, again? After I followed your directions? Is there anyone I can contact that can serve as mediator because I think you’re not being helpful. LebaneseBebe (talk) 11:33, 25 March 2018 (UTC) LebaneseBebe (talk) 11:33, 25 March 2018 (UTC)
- @LebaneseBebe: Hi I have sent you a message on this, maybe you have not come around to read it and here is again as below
- You have removed sourced content and added yours in (second paragraph). see here [4]. Your citing is incorrect as you just copy and paste the URL into the content. To cite is to provide verification - see here wikipedia:V, once you have read how to cite source, then do it again. Secondly, the removal of content was because there have no source and Wikipedia can not be the source - see WP:CIRCULAR. Constructive edit means adhere to Wikipedia policies and guidelines which content added/edited in Wikipedia needs "inline citation" from independent (third party / secondary / tertiary) reliable source (in any language) for verification to gauge the nobility criteria is met. The articles's inline citation is the WP:BURDEN which it is on the person adding the information. Thank you.
- In addition, Wikipedia would used secondary source for citing - See WP:SOURCE and dictionary is primary source - see Wikipedia:Dictionaries as sources.
- Do read all the links I provided to you for you to familiar on how to edit in Wikipedia, as it will be helpful to you. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 12:20, 25 March 2018 (UTC)
- no I am talking about the most recent edits I made that were reverted to your version. LebaneseBebe (talk) 16:51, 25 March 2018 (UTC)
- @LebaneseBebe: Your edit as mentioned above - see here [5], the first half use dictionary as source but the second half of sentence was without source. And your most recent 4 edits were reverted by other editor and hope this message reach you when you are back from being (edit warring) blocked. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 22:13, 25 March 2018 (UTC)

Edits for Dengue virus page
Hi, are you a wikipedia administrator? Anyway, all information entry have been properly cited as seen in https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Dengue_virus. I hope it will stay as edited by yours truly. -BuddingScientisted
- @BuddingScientisted: Greetings to you. I noticed you have added some content and the associating source. Thank you and happy editing. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 08:48, 28 March 2018 (UTC)
Jason Moloney moved to Draft:Jason Moloney
Thanks for your message, CASSIOPEIA. I have added inline references to this article, while additional citations can also be found on the linked Wiki pages for the 2010 Commonwealth Games, as well as the BoxRec profile provided in the External links sections. Trust this is adequate. Joshmoloney (talk) 00:36, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Joshmoloney: Good day. I saw what you have added; however, "all" the content in the page need to be cited by source. I have place (citations needed) on the page where they applied and kindly provide inline citation as you did. Ping me again, once you have done with the citation and I will review the page for you. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 01:55, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
- CASSIOPEIA Hi again, going through the citations needed in chronological order. Commonwealth Games competitor information is available in the linked Wiki from men's flyweight, however I've added 3 references. Conlan decision win and Oteng loss also cited on this Wiki. Debut citation added. Andrew Moloney information is available on his own Wiki however citation added.
- @Joshmoloney:, Hi Thank you for updating the page with citations. Please note that Wikipedia can NOT be the source - see WP:CIRCULAR, secondlly, the source in men's flyweight was not updated. I have added in the associated source with inline citation on Jason Moloney and Boxing at the 2010 Commonwealth Games – Flyweight accordingly. I have moved the page to main space and have reviewed it. Thank you very much for the contribution to Wikipedia and happy editing. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 04:10, 29 March 2018 (UTC)

Dear Cassiopeia, I have contributed the text to both the Italian Wikipedia and English Wikipedia for the same entry, starting from original credited sources. Actually I have done this for other pages too, creating both pages or substantially improving the text with research from reputable sources in one wiki, then writing the other wiki. Thus, I have not translated the pages but written them in parallel in my own words, as I’m bilingual. My goal is to ensure that every notable villa and palace in Genoa has a well written entry in English and Italian, based on research. How can avoid this issue in the future? Many thanks Zenawiki (talk) 14:18, 28 March 2018 (UTC) Zenawiki (talk) 14:18, 28 March 2018 (UTC)
Please remove the tag. In this specific case, as you can see from the history of the pages, I have even written the English article of Villa delle Peschiere FIRST, then used the same sources to supplement the Italian article, which was a stub at the time. Subsequently, I have supplemented both articles with new information from other sources. Thank you Zenawiki (talk) 16:52, 28 March 2018 (UTC)
PS: I have reviewed the article and indeed the use and translation of the original sources, which are in Italian and duly cited, was not optimal. This might have created the impression that I was translating from the Italian Wiki. Well spotted, my apologies! Now I have proofread the article and learnt that making articles at night is not always a good idea :-) Zenawiki (talk) 17:28, 28 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Zenawiki: Good day. Thank you for the info above and tag removed from article and talk page. If you do so on other pages in Wikipedia and you edit first in Wiki IT, do indicated in the talk page as you need and provide link. Secondly - indicated in the edit summary you are the same author as per Wiki IT before you save. Thank you very much for contribution to Wikipedia. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 01:44, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
- CASSIOPEIA Thank you, very clear. I have learnt something! Have a good day Zenawiki (talk) 05:29, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Zenawiki:, Hi, when you write on the editor talk page, you dont need to ping him/her, such as you write on my talk page, I will automatically receive a message that I have a message on my talk page on Wikipedia; however, you need to ping the editor/(s) in any other cases such in you talk page, article talk page, any other discussion page - all other places actually. Secondly, I noticed you have created from articles which you have also edited in Wiki IT, kindly leave a message on the Wiki EN article talk page as you did in Villa delle Peschiere indicating you are the authors and provide the Wiki IT version link as well. Thank you very much for doing all the work as now we have more info on building/architecture articles in Wiki EN which the content/knowledge you have provided. Thanks again and much appreciate. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 05:53, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you. I have done so, now all pages have a note in the ENWiki talk page explaining that I have contributed to both IT and EN in parallel. Noted also the use of ping. Many thanks again! Zenawiki (talk) 06:06, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Zenawiki:, Thank you Zenawiki. Appreciate your actions. I am not sure how does IT Wiki work, here is the EN Wiki's Wikitext/Wikicode for your reference - see here Help:Wikitext which would come handy for you on editing/communicating in Wiki EN and you could go to Wikipedia:Teahouse if you have any editing questions for there will be some helpful and friendly Wikipedians to assist you. Welcome to EN Wikipedia and have a good night. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 07:48, 29 March 2018 (UTC)

ACTRIAL:
- ACTRIAL's six month experiment restricting new page creation to (auto)confirmed users ended on 14 March. As expected, a greatly increased number of unsuitable articles and candidates for deletion are showing up in the feed again, and the backlog has since increased already by ~30%. Please consider reviewing a few extra articles each day.
Paid editing
- Now that ACTRIAL is inoperative pending discussion, please be sure to look for tell-tale signs of undisclosed paid editing. Contact the creator if appropriate, and submit the issue to WP:COIN if necessary.
Subject-specific notability guidelines
- The box at the right contains each of the subject-specific notability guidelines, please review any that are relevant BEFORE nominating an article for deletion.
- Reviewers are requested to familiarise themselves with the new version of the notability guidelines for organisations and companies. A further discussion is currently taking place at: Can a subject specific guideline invalidate the General Notability Guideline?
Nominate competent users for Autopatrolled
- While patrolling articles, if you find an editor that is particularly competent at creating quality new articles, and that user has created more than 25 articles (rather than stubs), consider nominating them for the 'Autopatrolled' user right HERE.
News
- The next issue Wikipedia's newspaper The Signpost has now been published after a long delay. There are some articles in it, including ACTRIAL wrap-up that will be of special interest to New Page Reviewers. Don't hesitate to contribute to the comments sections. The Signpost is one of the best ways to stay up date with news and new developments - please consider subscribing to it. Crab Silvers moved to Draft:Crab Silvers
Hi,
Thanks for your help! I have added inline citations, as per your recommendation.
Severian79 (talk) 18:20, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Severian79: Good morning, I just left a message at your talk page and didnt notice you had already written to me. Thank you for input the inline citations and I have moved to page to article space. However, I cant review for you as it is in a Chinese book which I dont have access. For such you have to wait for other pattroller to review your page. The backlog of new page is big, so you might have to wait a while. Thank you very much of your contribution and keep it up. Have a wonderful day. 22:20, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
Please can you help me with what I have to do so that the 2017-18 Jersey Premiership can be seen and not just be a draft. This is the first page I have created and I really don't know what I haven't done correctly. Thanks, Lewisbudd17 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lewisbudd17 (talk • contribs) 21:47, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Lewisbudd17:, Greetings. I had sent a message to "your talk page" with explanation, links and template where you need to cite (see WP:CITE) the source that the content claimed prior your message to me. For example "St. Paul's are the defending champions, while St. Clement and Grouville have entered as the promoted teams from the 2016-17 Jersey Championship" where is the source/reference you got from the above statement? We could not take your words for it but we need to "verify" (see WP:V the content claimed against a "reliable independent" (see WP:RS). Kindly read the message I send to you and check out all the links especially item 4 & 5 on citing. Let me know if I could help further. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 23:22, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks, Lewisbudd17
- CASSIOPEIA I've done what you said.
- @McGuinessTom1941:, Thank you for providing the source and I have added a few. The page is reviewed and published. Thank you for your contribution and keep up the good good. Cheers! CASSIOPEIA(talk) 04:38, 31 March 2018 (UTC)
- That was basically a fork of The Five Faces of Manfred Mann which had both the UK and US version. I don't see the need for two articles covering the same subject. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 01:56, 1 April 2018 (UTC)

USS Sides (FFG-14) - deletion
Cassiopeia, if I knew how to include a citation I would. I am new to editing wikipedia, and like to update pages while I continue my research. I am A Naval Historian here in Perth, Australia, and most of the data comes from my book, Liberty Call, which you can find here

Hope this helps

- @106.68.171.178: G'day. Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for the question above. As you are new to Wikipedia, here is the general info on citing source - content added/edited in Wikipedia needs "inline citation" from independent (third party / secondary / tertiary) reliable source (in any language) for verification to gauge the nobility criteria is met. The articles's inline citation is the WP:BURDEN which it is on the person adding the information. Please note official website, records of sport events or individual player records are consider primary source and not independent source, and social network source such as facebook, twitter, instagram, imbd and etc are considered NOT reliable source and can not be used for citing. Independent reliable source are sources are those obtain from major newspaper, such as The Guardian, Sydney Morning Herald, CNN news and etc. or source obtain from major publisher of the work (for example, Random House or Cambridge University Press). Pls see
- 1 reliable source - see WP:RS (Note: Wikipedia can NOT be the source - see WP:CIRCULAR)
- 2 primary vs secondary vs tiartiary source - see WP:WPNOTRS
- 3 verification - see WP:V
- Here is more specific info as to answer your question- click "cite" on menu page and fill in the info as per templates below
- 4 citing source - see WP:Citing sources and WP:Tutorial/Citing sources
- A. Citing from books - see WP:HOWCITE and its template - see here Template:Cite book (it is important to put ISBN # and page number)"
- Example (pls view in "source editing mode" - click the top right "pencil" icon and select source editing or just click "source" next to the message title USS Sides (FFG-14) - deletion" (the citing stats from <ref.......
- B.Citing source from web - Do not copy and past the URL address and paste into the body text, but click "cite" on menu page and fill in the info as per the Template: cite web below - see WP:CITEWEB and its template -see Template: cite web
- Please register and hope the above help. If you need further assistance, pls ping me again. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 07:19, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
Hello,
You have made a mistake with regard to Jelena Ostapenko's win-loss at the Miami Open. Her record there is now 5-2, not 10-3.
Her first time playing there was last year, she lost in the first round. She won five matches this year before losing in the final.
Hence her record is now 5-2.
Qualifying matches do not count.
Please amend this accordingly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.129.88.249 (talk) 15:01, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
- @86.129.88.249: Greetings and thank for the info above. I revert is not because of the statistic but the "wtat" - see here
[6]. You could add back the record but not putting word that does not make sense. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 15:07, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for the message. Can we take one of the references and check? Can you tell me what exactly is wrong on the following one, for example?
"AZUPANE started activities", newspaper "Panorama", edition of May 5, 1976, Maracaibo, Venezuela
I would appreciate very much you help. Thanks--Isamares (talk) 08:29, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Isamares:, Good afternoon and thank you for the question above. If your source is from a major newspaper, it would consider a independent reliable source. The issue here is that you all typed your source your own way instead using Wikipedia format. If the source would be found from the internet, that would be better (the source can be from any languages), but if the source from print which most of the new pattroller like myself do not access to the info espeicially if the newspaper is written in other languagues besides English. We have to request from other Wikipedians, if they happen to have the print articles and if they do and willing to help, they will scan the print info over so we could check and verify the content is support by source.
- I have sent you the info and template links - here again as below and cite them as per instruction. If your source mainly from print material, it is still ok but it will take a long time for a pattroller to review your page to get publish.
- Click cite in the menu bar and fill in the info as per template:cite web
- citing source - see WP:Citing sources and WP:Tutorial/Citing sources
- citing from internet source - see WP:CITEWEB and its template -see Template: cite web
- Click cite in the menu bar and fill in the info as per template:cite web
- If you go to the article here (example) - click here [7] and see your citing vs this page citing. I also added some extra info in your talk page, pls check them out. Thank you CASSIOPEIA(talk) 09:05, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for the message. I understand very well what you write about verifying the sources. In relation to that I forgot to mention that the page I created is a translation from the one in Spanish. You can see it here. https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betty_Cecilia_Lugo--Isamares (talk) 22:29, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Isamares: Thanks for the info above. I check on the Wiki ES version [8] which you have created. I think you have misunderstand my message. Please read the previous message again. If is not that you didnt provide source, but the format/way you provide the source/inline citation. The input of the inline citation in Wiki ES is different that of in Wiki EN. In Wiki EN, you need to fill in the fields using the templates
- A citing from internet source - see WP:CITEWEB and its template -see Template: cite web
- B. Citing from books - see WP:HOWCITE and its template - see here Template:Cite book (it is important to put ISBN # and page number)"
- Example (pls view in "source editing mode" ) in Wiki EN (book inline citation) as below :
- vs your inline citation for Betty Cecilia Lugo as below
- [3]
- Scroll down this page, and see the difference how the "Reference" source display differently between the EN vs ES? What you have to do is using the template and fill in the required fields in body text inline citation. Click "cite" on the menu bar and fill in the fields. Hope the above help this time. Thank you CASSIOPEIA(talk) 00:26, 2 April 2018 (UTC)
Basilica of Saint Severinus of Bordeaux moved to Draft:Basilica of Saint Severinus of Bordeaux
For the record, the translation of this page WAS NOT a copy-and-paste job. You might want to take a closer look at the terminology used in my translation and you will see that there are many points of deviation from the "Google Translate" version. Granted, when I translate pages I try to keep the English version looking very similar to the original. It makes it easier to keep track of my translation progress. I only put the notation that the page was being translated from its French version in the sources section because I didn't know where else to put it. Also I was planning on inserting the sources from the French page once I got done translating.
Thanks!
Wrajan1980 (talk) 21:13, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Wrajan1980: Greetings to you. My previous message to you on your talk page addressed 2 topics. You have not provide source/inline citation and Wikipeida can NOT be the source or just put text that the source is in Wiki FR site. All the content in the page need to support by reliable independent source in Wiki EN. Secondly, I noticed you did not edit anything edits in Wiki FR on this article unless you have different account name in Wiki FR. If you use google translate to do the work, and I presume you are a bilingual person, and the content in the Wiki EN version has been carefully tweak from googgle translation to reflect the correction of the content, you still have to pay proper attribution to the authors in Wiki FR as the written up is not from you but a translation copied from FR to EN. I do encourage you to do write your own content next time if possible (you still can use the source from any Wiki FR site). Lastly, do note that sometimes the way the sisters Wiki cite the source slightly different that those of Wiki EN. In Wiki EN you have to enter necessary fields (use the templates) when you do the inline citations. See below
- A citing from internet source - Do not copy and past the URL address and paste into the body text, but click "cite" on menu page and fill in the info as per the Template: cite web - pls see WP:CITEWEB and its template -see Template: cite web.
- B. Citing from books - see WP:HOWCITE and its template - see here Template:Cite book (it is important to put ISBN # and page number)"
- When you have done citing the source, ping me, I put up a tag for "pay proper attribution" tag for you. Let me know if you need further assistance. Have a good day. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 00:51, 2 April 2018 (UTC)
You've been on Wikipedia much less time than I have, not sure if that's relevant. I suggest if you think the article needs improving, go for it. Additionally there's a general interest in having viewers and fans edit articles they like in a timely fashion. Thanks. Bleucheeses (talk) 04:42, 2 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Bleucheeses:, Greetings to you. I believe you are referring to America's Got Talent (season 13) page you created and I moved to Draft:America's Got Talent (season 13) where now has been redirect to America's Got Talent by you. I notice you have joined Wikipedia in March 2010 with 268 edits as per to date - see here [9] and created one article, Seymour Bernstein, back in 2015 - see here [10]. For such, you might aware and if you are not, which I have stated in my message to you on your talk page, that content created/edited in any page should be directly supported by independent reliable source for verification - see WP:RS and WP:V. You interest for viewer to follow the most update info is a good intent which I could understand and all you have to do is added the source/reference into the page where I have provided you the links and template to follow and it will get published. Do note: all subsequent info added there after also inline citation (source) which one is the fundamental guidelines in Wikipedia. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 05:11, 2 April 2018 (UTC)
Moving articles to draft
Sir, what is the problem of this articles? Are there links in the articles? If there are any problems in articles, you can edit to improve and please move back it into former positions.Path slopu (talk) 15:51, 27 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Path slopu: Greetings. You have asked the same questions at least 3 times now and I have already answered you in your talk page and my talk page. However, it seems you dont read the message and the links I sent you. I saw you have moved the pages to main space. Please note that by being moved the page back to the main space doesnt not mean the articles are published as they need to be reviewed by patroller. I am one of the new page patroller and I moved your articles back to as the articles do not deem satisfactory at the moment because "all the articles are written without any incline citations/independent source - note official page is NOT independent source". Content added/edited need to DIRECTLY SUPPORTED BY RELIABLE INDEPENDENT SOURCE and the articles's inline citation is the WP:BURDEN which it is on the person adding the information. Just as in writing a term / research paper in university, all content in the paper need to cite with source and not only the writer mere words and it is the same with Wikipedia for the content need to be verify by source and not by editor own interpretation. Even the editor information is 100% correct, it is STILL needs source to support it and they is no other way around it.
- To move the page back to draft is for you to further develop the article and in this case is adding the source, so it would avoid a propose for deletion of the article. Do note even an article has been reviewed, it might still be subjected to be PROD (propose for deletion) if it does not meet the notability criteria. If you want help, then you should read the links sent you (they are highlighted in blue, and just click them and it will lead you to the page/section). To learn how to edit/create content in Wikipedia at times is steep learning curve as editors need to read the info provided and they are many of them. Just as if you would like a piece of your work to be published in a newspaper, you need to adhere to the newspaper's guidelines and rules.
- I have sent you the info on citing and source. If you have problem to do so, then send me the source (newspaper/book) and tell me which article and which sentence in the page the source is derived from and I cite it for you so you could learn. However, most of all if you want to contribute article in Wikipedia you need to familiar yourself with all the rules, guidelines, processes and etc in Wikipedia, in another wordsyou need to listen to the editor trying to help you where they provide you the info and links and YOU NEED TO READ THEM. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 09:15, 28 March 2018 (UTC)
- Sir, I added some sources in that articles. Please check it and please tell me about it.Path slopu (talk) 07:10, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
- Sir, please help me to improve that articles.Path slopu (talk) 07:12, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Path slopu:, Hi, first of all, before you write/reply a message (except the very 1st message) you added an extra ":" so the message will "right indent" to indicated the separation flow of the message within the "title subject" ( in this case the title subject is "Moving articles to draft"). You could check out Help:Wikitext for Wikicode/text for more Wiki codes for editing and communication in Wikipedia. Secondly, which article (I believe you have at least 6 of them) you have added source? Pls specify so I could have a look. If you meant Adoor Kadampanad Orthodox Diocese and the referene is this [11], then I dont see anything on the reference support the claim in the page. Secondly, you did not cite the source correctly, as you just copied and pasted the URL which is not the correct way to cite the source. Pls read my message to you and you would find the instructions and links how to do it. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 07:55, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
- Sir, please correct the sources given by me. But, I added some sources in all articles like Kollam Orthodox Diocese. PATH SLOPU (Talk) 08:39, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Path slopu:, I have looked at the edits you made, as I mentioned in my previous message, they do NOT support what the content claim in the pages, for such I cant help you on citing. Secondly, Wikipedia can NOT be the source - see WP:CIRCULAR. I have check you contribution log, you have not visited and work on the exercises on WP:The Wikipedia Adventure as I recommended. I cant help you if you dont help yourself on reading and familiar with Wikipedia guidelines and procedures as you dont bother to read the info and links I sent you at least 3 times by now. The pages you created might not survive PROD in the future as they seem no well-covered after a brief check on the internet where their notability might not meet Wikipedia guidelines. Thank you. @Path slopu:, I saw you input some source; however, as mentioned before Wikipedia CAN NOT be the source - see WP:CIRCULAR, secondly, ISBN is needed for citing from book. In additional, some of the pages, you still have only primary source which does not qualify the requirement of significant source needed see WP:SIGCOV for a stand alone page in Wikipedia. Lastly, you have only gone through one exercise instead of the full program of WP:The Wikipedia Adventure - everything an editor does can be seen/found in Wikipedia. Even other patroller would review you pages and get them publish, they are mostly would not survive the PROD in the future for stand alone page in Wikipedia it needs significant cover from independent reliable source (not home/official page) and meet the notability requirements - You might want to read up [[WP:N] as I have sent several times to you. - Sir, the book that I had cited haven't ISBN. It is a 1993 editionPATH SLOPU (Talk) 04:30, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Path slopu:, Congratulations, you have gone through the WP:The Wikipedia Adventure program, and I believe now you understand the basic concept of citing, researching, linking, what constitute copyright violation, communication and among other. Well done. Also, I notice you place extra ":" before you start your message. Good work. Now back to the book ISBN, without ISBN it would be difficult for reviewer to find the book to verify the content claimed, even sometimes with ISBN, it is still difficult to find source has the info in digital format. My recommendation is to added the content (the part supported by source only) of all the pages above into Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church in sub section and delete all the page as per existence so some info could be secured. By the way, 80% content in Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church is unsourced and it will be removed if it stay the same after awhile. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 04:51, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
Sir, Thanks for your advice and help. But, articles created by me is needed. It is necessary that there should be separate articles for dioceses in Malankara Orthodox Church. Sir, please notice the web cited by me. Is it good for the reference of articles. Thank you. PATH SLOPU (Talk) 10:08, 2 April 2018 (UTC)
