- Try asking at Wikipedia:Help desk. Most IPs through a VPN will be already blocked anyway. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 12:38, 21 March 2022 (UTC)

- I'm not bothered about what your school does to block other web sites or what OS they use. I'm only prepared to answer questions about Wikipedia. From the looks of your grammar, spelling, capitalisation and punctuation I can understand why your school has blocked certain sites. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 12:52, 21 March 2022 (UTC)
Hi, I'm desperate trying to move this article back to its original title John Hemming (explorer). Some guy did an undiscussed move in 2019, and for whatever reason, I am completely unable to revert it myself. Do you think you can help me? I already made a request. Saturdayopen (talk) 07:16, 22 March 2022 (UTC)
- It, John Hemming (explorer), needed to be deleted. Fixed now. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 07:22, 22 March 2022 (UTC)
Sorry to trouble you, but we are having persistent WP:COI vandalism and editing against talk page consensus on these two pages from one IP editor. Would it be possible to have some level of semi-protection for a few weeks? Thank you! - Ahunt (talk) 20:47, 27 March 2022 (UTC)
- Ahunt given them both a week. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 15:59, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you! - Ahunt (talk) 16:07, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
- Absolute nonsense. This user refuses to engage in discussion on the talk page and instead asks an administrator to lock down the page. He also accused me of having a "COI" without any evidence whatsoever. There is no "consensus", it's just Ahunt listing his opinions to one other user on the talk page whilst ignoring all sources.185.217.158.63 (talk) 22:18, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
- Ahunt has a history, eg. Talk:Linux_distribution, of not understanding and/or acknowledging the difference between the GNU operating system, GNU variants which use the Linux kernel, such as GNU+Linux, and the Linux kernel itself. He has already proven himself to be biased against GNU; on that page he said "LOL" when another user provided a quote about how people like to run GNU. I have no doubt he will change any and all terminology back to the confusing and ambiguous mistake of referring to multiple different things as "Linux", just so long as any and all mentions of GNU are omitted.185.217.158.63 (talk) 22:26, 28 March 2022 (UTC)

Sir if is there any mistake in the page, plz correct it. And restore the page please Pratikpagare19 (talk) 03:34, 29 March 2022 (UTC)
- Pratikpagare19 one request is enough. You don't need to keep posting. While he may be trending and important to your town there was nothing to show that he meets Wikipedia:Notability. For example you linked to Google Play where he has apps but that does not show why he is notable. You also linked to Fatumbird Solutions but I couldn't find his name anywhere there. Even if it is there it just shows that is where he works but not why he is notable. You need to find sources that are independent of him an discuss him. A source that says "Harsh Dhage is a software developer" isn't proving notability. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 15:44, 29 March 2022 (UTC)
Actually he is the government officer. Due to his works in COVId-19 time. Vaccination and COVId rules work He got famous in city Pratikpagare19 (talk) 04:05, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
- But being a government work is not a sign of notability. Nor is being known in one city. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 17:02, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
Revenue Operations
Why did you move Revenue Operations to a draft? The citations are valid. Do you want more? — Preceding unsigned comment added by StephenDiorio (talk • contribs) 13:01, 6 April 2022 (UTC)

Re: Petrovići
It's because of MOS:DABREDIR - essentially, if the topic of a disambiguation page is "Foo", and an article "Bar" has a pertinent redirect saying "Foo (but Bar)", then the latter is the thing that should be linked from the disambiguation list because that makes it clear why it's there, it does not stand out. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 08:52, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
Request about WP:CIVIL on Cessna 310
Sorry to trouble you with this, but could you have a look at this talk page conversion. It seems to me that it concluded with an unprovoked personal attack, although I think the editor in question meant it for another editor rather than me. The whole communication string is there, plus a couple of edit summaries in the article. I think someone needs admonishing for that uncivil outburst. If it is me that is in the wrong I am happy to be informed so. Thanks for your time looking this over. - Ahunt (talk) 17:10, 9 May 2022 (UTC)
- Ahunt It looks like Acroterion already did. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 17:29, 9 May 2022 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) (watching) @Ahunt:, for clarity, my remarks regarding
bad-faith guesswork and wanton display of ignorance
were directed wholly at you. The editor who uploaded the image is not only now dead and unable to defend himself, but was for many years a respected administrator on en.wp. If you think that it's "civil" to repeatedly accuse him of fakery is about the worse allegation you can make. Before climbing the WP:CIVIL pole, see that WP:ASPERSIONS aren't waiting for you at the bottom. You failed to provide any evidence, except your own opinion, regarding the provenance of the photo, and as you must know, diffs or it didn't happen. Arbcom has codified, thatAn editor must not accuse another of misbehavior without evidence, especially when the accusations are repeated or severe
. As I said to Bilcat, I have no opinion on the merits of the photograph or not; but you behavior towards an editor no longer here to defend himself, I found poor, to say the least. SN54129 17:40, 9 May 2022 (UTC)- User:CambridgeBayWeather: thanks, but it looks like my request for someone to look at this has resulted in another personal attack right above, here on your talk page. Just for the record, I agreed with User:Carguychris' edit summary comment that the admin who posted the image clearly did so as a joke for use on his talk page. The image is too comical to take as a serious picture. - Ahunt (talk) 18:47, 9 May 2022 (UTC)
- Serial Number 54129 it looks to me as if Ahunt is talking about the picture, not using the best of terms, but you seem to be directing comments to the person which are bordering on attacks. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 19:58, 9 May 2022 (UTC)

- Following an RfC, a change has been made to the administrators inactivity policy. Under the new policy, if an administrator has not made at least 100 edits over a period of 5 years they may be desysopped for inactivity.
- Following a discussion on the bureaucrat's noticeboard, a change has been made to the bureaucrats inactivity policy.
- The ability to undelete the associated talk page when undeleting a page has been added. This was the 11th wish of the 2021 Community Wishlist Survey.
- A public status system for WMF wikis has been created. It is located at https://www.wikimediastatus.net/ and is hosted separately to WMF wikis so in the case of an outage it will remain viewable.
- Remedy 2 of the St Christopher case has been rescinded following a motion. The remedy previously authorised administrators to place a ban on single-purpose accounts who were disruptively editing on the article St Christopher Iba Mar Diop College of Medicine or related pages from those pages.
The reason I bolded the boxes is so that the table could be sorted. All the other airline destination pages have a sortable table. Cherrell410 (talk) 00:06, 22 May 2022 (UTC)
- Cherrell410. Sorry I took out too much formatting. You had
{| class="wikitable sortable" !'''Country''' !'''Province/state''' !'''City''' !'''Airport''' !''Notes''' !'''{{abbr|Refs|References}}''' |}
which gives this:
Country | Province/state | City | Airport | Notes | Refs |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Mexico | Baja California Sur | Los Cabos | Los Cabos International Airport | ||
Jalisco | Puerto Vallarta | Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport | Begins November 3, 2022 | ||
Quintana Roo | Cancun | Cancun International Airport |
I meant to go with
{| class="wikitable sortable" !Country !Province/state !City !Airport !''Notes !{{abbr|Refs|References}} |}
which gives this:
Country | Province/state | City | Airport | Notes | Refs |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Mexico | Baja California Sur | Los Cabos | Los Cabos International Airport | ||
Jalisco | Puerto Vallarta | Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport | Begins November 3, 2022 | ||
Quintana Roo | Cancun | Cancun International Airport |
- I've fixed it. I'm not convinced that the tables should be sorted but I'm lazy to argue about it. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 03:38, 22 May 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks. But if you take a look at all the other airline destination pages........... Cherrell410 (talk) 12:57, 22 May 2022 (UTC)
- Cherrell410. Not all. Other than the first the other airlines were picked at random from the navigation box at the bottom of the page. See Canadian North, (not sortable) List of Air Canada destinations (sortable but not bold and a terrible colour), PAL Airlines (no table), North Star Air (no table), Calm Air (no table), Air North (sortable but not bold), Harbour Air Seaplanes (sortable but not bold), Air Tindi (no table) or List of WestJet destinations (sortable but not bold). When I say bold I mean that the table does not have ''' to produce bold text or in the table combined with the !, extra bold text. I don't recall seeing a table that used both ''' and !. That some do does not make it right, see Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Text formatting#When not to use boldface. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 13:25, 22 May 2022 (UTC)
- But making a table a header row, it automatically bolds the header. Also, I would be glad to go add tables to some of the airlines that don't have tables. Cherrell410 (talk) 15:23, 22 May 2022 (UTC)
- Cherrell410. I know the words are bold when using the ! and that's why I fixed it. I don't remove tables when I see them but there is no requirement to include them or what format they should take. If you want to add more, well it's Wikipedia and we can all edit. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 03:36, 23 May 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Agdam (disambiguation)
Speedy deletion nomination of Agdam (disambiguation)
Hello CambridgeBayWeather,
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Iseult and it's nice to meet you :-)
I wanted to let you know that I have tagged an article that you started, Agdam (disambiguation) for deletion, because it is unnecessary per one of the criteria at WP:G14.
If you feel that the page shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.
For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Iseult}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

- Iseult Did you see the third one on that link,"A redirect that ends in "(disambiguation)" but does not redirect to a disambiguation page or a page that performs a disambiguation-like function." In this case Agdam (disambiguation) redrects to Agdam a disambiguation page. There are thousands of page called "Something (disambiguation)" that redirects to "Something" and example from Wikipedia:Disambiguation is Mercury (disambiguation) that redirects to Mercury and Fred Smith (disambiguation) redirects to Fred Smith. Having a redirect like that is common and accepted. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 04:49, 28 May 2022 (UTC)
Central Committee of the 6th Conference of the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party (Bolsheviks)
Hi
The name of the party in the given period was the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party (Bolsheviks) and not Russian Social Democratic Labour Party. So I moved it back to the correct name :) TheUzbek (talk) 08:45, 28 May 2022 (UTC)
- TheUzbek OK but you need to create redirects or disambiguation pages for all of those that end in (Bolsheviks). The one I moved didn't have a redirect and people will type in the sorter and easier name. Plus is the common name really "Russian Social Democratic Labour Party (Bolsheviks)"? CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 08:48, 28 May 2022 (UTC)
- Short history lesson: the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party split into the "Russian Social Democratic Labour Party (Bolsheviks)" and the "Russian Social Democratic Labour Party (Mensheviks)". So there does exist a Menshevik counterpart named "Central Committee of the xxx of the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party (Mensheviks)" It was only in 1952 that the party dropped "Bolshevik" since, as Stalin said, there is no opposition to there does not make sense to use the appelation Bolshevik any longer (Bolshevik is Russian for "Majority") --TheUzbek (talk) 08:51, 28 May 2022 (UTC)
- TheUzbek Thanks. I did know some of that. It's important to have redirects and / or disambiguations for them. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 08:54, 28 May 2022 (UTC)

Osijek Incursion
Hi,
I have seen that you moved a page Osijek Incursion (1685), to just Osijek Incursion, saying that it does not require disambiguation.
I would like to point out that there was at least one more Osijek Incursion made by Nikola Zrinski in 1664, we just don't have the article about it yet, but I might write it sometime in the future.
Franjo Tahy (talk) 10:34, 28 May 2022 (UTC)
- Franjo Tahy If you do then the current Osijek Incursion can be turned into a disambiguation. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 10:48, 28 May 2022 (UTC)
Editor has now moved "West Ford" to "West Ford, Founder of Gum Springs"
And introduced some referencing errors, and deleted valid sources, and didn't move the associated article-talk page.... I've started to open a dialogue on their talk page but I am kind of flummoxed as to what to do...there is so much to now pull apart... Help. Shearonink (talk) 00:25, 31 May 2022 (UTC)

Why was my page deleted it was a fun piece of writing for my friends and I. Am I not supposed to post references? I thought that was the whole point of wikipedia Oswald Pinkerton (talk) 11:35, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
- Oswald Pinkerton The purpose of Wikipedia is not to be a place to write adverts for yourself, see Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:User pages. There are other place that you can promote your career. Create, or better yet, add to other articles and then you can write a short bio without all the links to other sites spamming yourself. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 11:40, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
- its my bio? Bit boring. Can I make one about a channel? Pewdiepie, Markiplier, Post Malone, Kendrick Lamar, Beethoven. They have a page and that’s completely discussion of them for the sake of it existing/promo of their existence/brand. Don’t get that? And as it says, the wider community clearly agrees with that idea, so can I make my own for the sake of entertainment/interpersonal/online enjoyment and insight. Oswald Pinkerton (talk) 11:47, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
- Also, I think the revisions to make language more understandable for non-professionals is a great idea. On the younger side, I don’t see how anyone can decipher the rhetoric language in many and all rules and regulation articles, because they’re so unnecessarily long-winded. Oswald Pinkerton (talk) 12:00, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
- Oswald Pinkerton Those people have articles not user pages, Pewdiepie, Markiplier, Post Malone, Kendrick Lamar, Beethoven, and were not written by themselves. On top of that those people have sources showing their notability. Your user page had links to YouTube and Instagram and they don't prove notability and you should not be writing about yourself, Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. And many editors, including younger ones, are able to understand how Wikipedia works. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 12:03, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
- A blanket statement at the end there and I’m loving the passive aggression. British? I sure am. Using wikipedia is extremely helpful when you’re not overwhelmed with links and uncovered coding and I’m aware those artists have articles not pages, it was more the promo of them as people I was referring to. I was asking if it is ok if I were to write an article on another channel (my friends) as a nice gesture with an unbiased autobiography (without external links). I’ve thought and realised how external links can be negative with sock puppets but I still don’t see how a user page can’t have external links. I like your page and your website is cool but that is an external (promoted) link. How do I get around this? Part of why I logged on is because of how irrelevant I am. It’d be funny and to be honest a mark of history but if it’s really impossible to write an article for my friends and especially myself I don’t know. When my friend has a viral video of 500k views does that justify their value? Oswald Pinkerton (talk) 12:17, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
- omg I just watched a video on article creation 10 edits and 4 days. Imma go make that zhangjiajie article way more bubbling Oswald Pinkerton (talk) 12:30, 11 June 2022 (UTC)

Happy First Edit Day!
How to move if page is already taken
I see you moved one of my articles back to draft and stated it was self promotion because I added an “A”? The reason I added an A was because I couldn’t figure out how to publish it given that the page name was already taken by another article with the same name. Hence the A, as the first letter in the alphabet. I’m sure there’s a better way to do this but it was not at all clear what to do here. Can you assist in publishing this the correct way, since obviously I did it the wrong way? Zijohnny (talk) 06:28, 12 June 2022 (UTC)
Ok I think I figured out the right way to do this. Zijohnny (talk) 07:21, 12 June 2022 (UTC)
- Zijohnny I didn't move it to draft because of the A. I was confused as to why you used the A as it does not appear to be part of his name. I moved it because it looked promotional. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

Just to let you know, this article that you recently renamed from its previous implausible title is not about a real star. I have nominated it for speedy deletion as a hoax since it doesn't even exist. It certainly wasn't discovered by "a 11-years-old girl". Lithopsian (talk) 16:06, 23 June 2022 (UTC)

Thanks!
Thank you very much for the fixes at Simonie Michael. Conceptually I understand the uses of Inuit/Inuk/Inuuk but I still don't seem to apply them 100% consistently, and even if I read over something I wrote that uses those words many times (like I have for Simonie Michael), I don't catch all the times that I mis-use them. Evidently I need to practice more. Meanwhile, I really appreciate the cleanup. - Astrophobe (talk) 22:32, 26 June 2022 (UTC)
- Astrophobe Thanks. I've been using this as a guide. I see that a lot of times I wrote "the Inuit people" and I thought it should get cleaned up. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 22:35, 26 June 2022 (UTC)

Happier Than Ever
Hello CambridgeBayWeather! I wanted to enquire about something that happened to a page I created a while back. The article in question is Happier Than Ever, which I created from scratch on 26 April 2021. A user stole it by getting an undercooked, two-sentence "draft" merged over it. There was no copy-pasting so this should have been declined but unfortunately it wasn't. Their contributions are actually completely comprised of this type of thing. So I was wondering if there was any process for me to get the first two revisions at Happier Than Ever deleted and to be rightly credited as the creator. I appreciate any help. NØ 11:38, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
- MaranoFan I'm not sure how that is dealt with. You might be better asking at WP:ANI. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 18:02, 3 July 2022 (UTC)

Canadian aircraft images
Excuse me but my summary should've refered to WP:AIRLINES instead of WP:AIRPORTS which should've been kind of an obvious. There is longstanding concensus to not include aircraft images in airline infoboxes and you will not find any articles outside of Canadian airlines which feature those. Would've been nice if you asked before undoing dozens of edits. Feel free to refer to WP:Aviation. 2001:A61:1006:6301:4185:7C3D:92DB:3CC3 (talk) 18:56, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
- Please point out where this consensus and MOS exists, and anyway it’s contrary to the info box instructions and documentation. If you’re going to make edits and revert you need to be able to point to this style or consensus. Canterbury Tail talk 20:22, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
- The actual template instructions at Template:Infobox airline are pretty clear that they do belong:
image2: Filename of an image. Main headquarters, ticket counter or an aircraft to demonstrate livery (optional)
. So I am very keen to see your link to a consensus that over-rides the template instructions. - Ahunt (talk) 20:29, 5 August 2022 (UTC)- I’ve checked the style guide for WP:Aviation, the main page and the talk archives and can find no such consensus. If there was one it would be in the style guide, and I cannot locate it there. Canterbury Tail talk 21:28, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
- I'm away for a few days taking a short holiday with my granddaughter so my replies may not be that fast. First there is no "longstanding concensus to not include aircraft images in airline infoboxes". Please point to where the consensus is? Don't just say see WP:AIRLINES or WP:AVIATION? And so what if they are not used outside of Canadian articles? The articles have contained images for a long time indicating that, for those articles at least, there was consensus to leave them in.
- Second, why should I ask your permission? Do you WP:OWN those articles. It falls under WO:BRD. You were bold and removed them (claiming a non-existant consensus), I reverted and you re-reverted instead of discuss.
- The images enhance the the article providing a quick visual image in the box and other templates, {{Infobox airport}} for one, includes a second image. Airlines are companies and I see that {{Infobox company}} has a logo and an image. Why are airlines different to other companies? CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 12:18, 6 August 2022 (UTC)
- I’ve checked the style guide for WP:Aviation, the main page and the talk archives and can find no such consensus. If there was one it would be in the style guide, and I cannot locate it there. Canterbury Tail talk 21:28, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
- The actual template instructions at Template:Infobox airline are pretty clear that they do belong:
- Please continue this discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Aviation § Aircraft images in airline infoboxes. None of us are able to confirm this purported consensus, so hopefully we can arrive at a fresh consensus. Ibadibam (talk) 19:45, 8 August 2022 (UTC)

Talk pages of files on Commons
Hi CambridgeBayWeather, I noticed that you deleted talk pages of files that were transferred to Commons, like File talk:Confuciustemplequfu.png. I just wanted to point out that talk pages of files on Commons are generally not deleted. They are listed as exceptions to WP:G8. A discussion from last year suggesting the deletion of these talk pages didn't really gain any traction, so they should be restored. ✗plicit 06:25, 23 August 2022 (UTC)

Was the revision deletion on Prom Dress (novel) supposed to include this edit? I don't think that I left copyvio in the page when I tagged it for RD1. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 14:33, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
- Red-tailed hawk Sorry. It was one too many. At least I know how to fix that now. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 23:19, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
Thanks
Thanks for dealing with Paul Costelloe. That was the most blatant wp:copyvio I've seen on here so far. I do wonder what should be done about that article as a whole though as it seems to be mainly edited by people who have a conflict of interest. Also, the account that created it is user:Costy05, which sounds to me like it was started by the company in the first place. KaraLG84 (talk) 08:47, 24 August 2022 (UTC)
- Just keep an eye on it. I see Costy05 hasn't edited since 2009. Even the person who added the copyvio hasn't edit since 2020. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 08:51, 24 August 2022 (UTC)

White City (Radomsky) Airport
Hello, I see you've made a lot of edits regarding airports (among other topics) and you created this page White City (Radomsky) Airport so I'm hoping you can help clarify something. I noticed that the airport was not listed here List of airports in Saskatchewan yet it is listed here List of defunct airports in Canada. I did some googling to see if it's defunct or not and I found this, this, and this among other sites that seem to indicate maybe it's still an active airport. Any help you can offer would be great. Masterhatch (talk) 12:54, 1 September 2022 (UTC)
- Masterhatch. I created them using the Canada Flight Supplement. According to Transport Canada all of Canada, except a few places, can be considered landing spots. Certain places meeting the criteria become registered aerodromes (Aerodrome#Canada, Hope Bay Aerodrome) or certified airports (Cambridge Bay Airports. Once an airport/aerodrome is no longer certified/registered is is listed by Transport Canada as abandoned, and on Wikipedia for some reason as defunct. However, aircraft can still land there. An example is Lady Franklin Point. The DEW line site burnt down in 2000 but last week we had two military aircraft flying over there as part of a military exercise. All that to say that an airport can be abandoned but usable. I need to sit down and sort them out. Too many are stubs created years ago when that sort of thing was acceptable. Can you check File:Green Square Town Centre.jpg / c:File:Green Square Town Centre.jpg? I was pretty sure I removed @FlightTime's CSD F8 tag as local photo was different from the file on Commons (different camera, slightly different angle and wider FoV) but now I wonder if I forgot to submit my edit. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 19:15, 1 September 2022 (UTC)
- Alexis Jazz. I'm so sorry I completely missed this until just now. You are right they are two slightly different images. They are now at File:Green Square Town Centre.jpg and File:Green Square Town Centre alternate angle.jpg. They need some categories and a description as to where they are. I assume they are in Sydney, Australia but not sure. And I see that one image uploaded by Kksuppo is a copyright violation. Sorry again for missing this. The article Airforce Station Purnea has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
actual proposal - to redirect to Purnea#Air; article has significant information, but no supporting sources. Article versions in other languages rely on sources that would not be supportive of notability on the English Wikipedia.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 01:51, 2 September 2022 (UTC)

Recreating a deleted article
Hello. I would like to recreate the article for Down the World: Mervil's Ambition. I've obtained some great reliable sources for it and have given it enough substantial content that I feel it now meets notability. Rather than make a draft, I've put it in my sandbox. Please review it and let me know of it's appropriate to recreate it. Thanks in advance. Haitch2PointOh (talk) 14:37, 15 September 2022 (UTC)

"Aircrafts"
Hi, thanks for your recent corrections of "aircrafts" in several articles. Just to be clear, my comment, "Corrected spelling - I don't believe "aircrafts" is considered standard in Indian English yet, but I could be wrong"
was not aimed at you! I assumed you simply forgot to correct it along with the other changes you made there. At least that's what happens to me sometimes. Anyway, I sometimes see "aircrafts" used in Indian newspapers and even on Indian government sites, and I don't read either very often. I fully expect it to be considered standard Indian English at some time in the near future, if it isn't already. And as a qualified grammar descriptionist, I can't argue with it. After all, I consider "ain't" to be standard English, and valid wherever other contractions are used! BilCat (talk) 21:05, 16 September 2022 (UTC)
- BilCat I saw what you had done and realised I'd missed it. I'm surprised at the number of times "aircrafts" appears in other English publications, including British and US sources. I'm wondering i it was somewhat standard at one time as Australian John Ronald Shafto Adair created Aircrafts Pty. Ltd.. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 21:16, 16 September 2022 (UTC)
Fairstead disambiguation page
Hi CambridgeBayWeather. I am reaching out because a few months ago you added Fairstead (company) to the Fairstead disambiguation page. The Fairstead article was since moved to draft space and tagged for needing various improvements, which means that the disambiguation page now has Fairstead (company) as a redlink. I have edited the draft, removing the promotional language and updating the content. I'd appreciate your help in reviewing this new draft and moving it back to mainspace, which in turn will make the link blue again. I can't make this move myself because of my COI, which is declared on my userpage. Of course, I welcome any feedback you may have. Thanks, DL at Fairstead (talk) 15:44, 20 September 2022 (UTC)
- DL at Fairstead I think you would be better off asking MrsSnoozyTurtle as they were the one who moved it. I don't usually review drafts. Sorry. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 15:49, 20 September 2022 (UTC)

Deletion of Tenyo article
I see you deleted the article on Tenyo (manufacturer of magic items and jigsaw puzzles), citing a claim that the article "does not credibly indicate the importance or significance of the subject". Was there no deletion discussion? I can make no particular sense of the claim: does the article need a section "indicating significance", or what? This is a small, but long-established company, with a short but reasonable article in WP:ja; it seems reasonable that it should have an English article too. Imaginatorium (talk) 05:37, 21 September 2022 (UTC)
- Imaginatorium. There was nothing to indicate Wikipedia:Notability (Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies)). In looking at it again I see there were no references at all, just a link to its website. You need independent references to show why its notable, something I don't see in the Japanese article either. As to it being on the Japanese Wikipedia. That's an indication that it might be suitable for here but no guarantee. Each Wikipedia has their own criteria and what one language may include another may not. I looked at the English language website (https://tenyo.jp/profile_en/index.html) for the company I see several things that may be a starting point to find some references to show notability. Check the two sections on "Magic" and "Novelty Goods". CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 10:30, 21 September 2022 (UTC)
Vandalism of Shoeless Joe Jackson article
I presume you are not overly familiar with Major League Baseball, for that is the only reason I can think of why a persistent act of vandalism would be labeled a "content dispute." To elaborate, the Cleveland baseball club was named the Indians from 1915-2021, at which time it was renamed the Guardians due to concerns over the name. This was a controversial decision in the so-called "culture wars" in the United States. When the team changed its name, all the organizations that it owns and operates also changed their names, including the Hall of Fame, which is now the Cleveland Guardians Hall of Fame. Our own page on the topic has been updated to reflect this name change, while every article about an inductee has been updated to reflect the current name of the institution in which they have been enshrined. Sadly, a sizeable contingent of the fanbase refuses to acknowledge the new name for a variety of reasons. The Shoeless Joe Jackson article appears to have been targeted by those that are unhappy with this situation. Regardless of one's views, however, it is a fact that the name is now the Cleveland Guardians Hall of Fame. The "Cleveland Indians Hall of Fame" quite simply no longer exists. It was pretty brazen for a user vandalizing an article to request protection for the article they were disrupting, but I find it even more shocking that an admin upheld a vandal's position. Protect the page by all means, but the vandalous edit should also be rolled back. Indrian (talk) 13:33, 21 September 2022 (UTC)
- I presume you are not overly familiar with Wikipedia talk pages, for that is the only reason I can think of why you would not understand that this is not Talk:Shoeless Joe Jackson. I presume you are not overly familiar with Wikipedia:Vandalism, for that is the only reason I can think of why you would not understand that what the other person was doing isn't vandalism. No matter how much you want to call it that. It may surprise you to know that I don't have to be "overly familiar with Major League Baseball" to be able to follow the changing of various racist and derogatory team names in North American sports, Edmonton Elks and Washington Commanders for example. Just curious but are you familar with "you (can) catch more flies with honey than (with) vinegar"? CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 20:26, 21 September 2022 (UTC)

Locking Bald and Bankrupt article
Hello, I think you have mistakenly locked the page. I think the editing in question (mine presumably) wasn't disruptive, here's why: I reverted a change because I disagreed with it. I explained the reason in the talk page (as per B/R/D). Editor reverts it back and responds to the talk page (with the same statement of his edit summary, which did not convince me). I revert it back, because there was definitely no consensus. Other editor(s) (which I have interacted with in the past and disagreed with on the same article) presumably get this page locked. Then my consensus-building talk page discussion is spent by him and said group of editors trying to argue I am the one needing to achieve consensus to revert the original edit, saying I am a personal attacker for calling out sarcastic comments, et cetera. Overall not constructive let alone consensus building. All in all, I think this issue goes a bit beyond me "disruptive" editing. In fact I believe I am the only one following the Wikipedia editorial process. Please respond even though I'm an IP 128.6.37.80 (talk) 00:46, 25 September 2022 (UTC)
- Also after seeing your RfPP edit. I would like to clarify that (unlike Joseph said) WP:Controversy is not at all in WP:MOS, it is just an informal essay. In fact I was trying to argue that having an "incident" section does better service to both NPOV and editorial style than having 5 sentences in a row being incidents in his "career" section. 128.6.37.80 (talk) 01:16, 25 September 2022 (UTC)
- The consensus in the Talk:Bald and Bankrupt#Incidents section does seem to be going against you. Perhaps Wikipedia:Dispute resolution might be of some help. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 03:59, 25 September 2022 (UTC)
- I think you haven't addressed my argument that WP:Controversy is NOT in WP:MOS, yet this is the reason of Joseph's report and your RfPP. Yes I am aware of the content issue and I accept that there is consensus against it (even though it is a posteriori, which isn't at all how consensus works, and the other editors part of said "consensus" have a personal vendetta against me & were uncivil/WP:PA in the discussion). However I feel like the page was locked for no good reason: I was just following the BRD cycle and Joseph 1) did not really bother to engage in consensus building (in fact did not seem to know what consensus is--"What consensus?") 2) most importantly reached out to you with a bogus reason to lock the page (that controversy sections are in WP:MOS, but they aren't).
- Thanks 128.6.37.80 (talk) 13:28, 25 September 2022 (UTC)

Administrators' newsletter – October 2022
News and updates for administrators from the past month (September 2022).
- Following an RfC, consensus was found that if the rationale for a block depends on information that is not available to all administrators, that information should be sent to the Arbitration Committee, a checkuser or an oversighter for action (as applicable, per ArbCom's recent updated guidance) instead of the administrator making the block.
- Following an RfC, consensus has been found that, in the context of politics and science, the reliability of FoxNews.com is unclear and that additional considerations apply to its use.
- Community comment on the revised Universal Code of Conduct enforcement guidelines is requested until 8 October.
- The Articles for creation helper script now automatically recognises administrator accounts which means your name does not need to be listed at WP:AFCP to help out. If you wish to help out at AFC, enable AFCH by navigating to Preferences → Gadgets and checking the "Yet Another AfC Helper Script" box.
- Remedy 8.1 of the Muhammad images case will be rescinded 1 November following a motion.
- A modification to the deletion RfC remedy in the Conduct in deletion-related editing case has been made to reaffirm the independence of the RfC and allow the moderators to split the RfC in two.
- The second phase of the 2021-22 Discretionary Sanctions Review closes 3 October.
- An administrator's account was recently compromised. Administrators are encouraged to check that their passwords are secure, and reminded that ArbCom reserves the right to not restore adminship in cases of poor account security. You can also use two-factor authentication (2FA) to provide an extra level of security.
- Self-nominations for the electoral commission for the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections open 2 October and close 8 October.
- You are invited to comment on candidates in the 2022 CUOS appointments process.

Anne of Nassau-Siegen
I noticed you renamed the article Anne of Nassau-Siegen (d. 1514) to Anne of Nassau-Siegen, with the remark "Does not require a disambiguation". I wonder why you say there is no disambiguation? There have been three women named Anne of Nassau-Siegen (from the 19 women in total that were called Anne of Nassau). The fact that Wikipedia names them incorrectly is not something I'm to blame for. I already created the article name Anne of Nassau-Siegen (d. 1514), so I can rename the other articles when I have edited them. Now there is an article with the name Anne of Nassau-Siegen which later on should be transformed from an article into a disambiguation page. I had preferred to create such a page later on... Roelof Hendrickx (talk) 15:30, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
- Roelof Hendrickx. Sorry. But when I checked there was no other Anne of Nassau-Siegen and quite frequently I see editors who add disambiguations to articles for various reasons when it isn't needed. If later there is another Anne of Nassau-Siegen created then the current one can be moved back. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 03:45, 18 October 2022 (UTC)
- It's true that on Wikipedia there now is just one Anne of Nassau-Siegen, but two others have an incorrect name. I would have appreciated it if you had asked first why I added the "(d. 1514)". But the solution you give, is also fine with me. Roelof Hendrickx (talk) 13:10, 19 October 2022 (UTC)
Hey CambridgeBayWeather. exact name] or close enough to be confusing. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 12:53, 18 October 2022 (UTC)
- Hi CambridgeBayWeather. Thanks for your reply. I see your point. The logic for Marchica (band) was simply for [Google] search engine optimization, as there is https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mar_Chica and https://mg.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marchica_MED_SA and https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mar_Chica The page will most likely be translated into Castellano as well, since the band is 3/4 Spanish. Search result for that name come up different depending on the location of the person searching. Other logic is bands like Foo Fighters Foo fighter and The Presidents of the United States of America The Presidents of the United States of America (band) Franz Ferdinand Franz Ferdinand (band), etc. This bands all risk ambiguity (although Foo Fighters band is more well known). Again, the goal would be to get this near or at the top of a search result for the name Marchica, above things like the beach, the Pharma company and so on. All said, you seem to be way more experienced at this, so I'll defer to you. I appreciate any feedback and guidance. Many thanks again! Bigwhakoo (talk) 13:39, 18 October 2022 (UTC)

Crooked Lake (Prince of Wales Island)
Hey there CBW, I got sucked down a rabbit hole from your userpage and eventually landed on Prince of Wales Island (Nunavut) which has a nice map on it that includes a prominently labelled 'Crooked Lake' right in the middle of it. I lived in Alaska for a while and find artic lakes and lagoons pretty fascinating, but near as I can tell the map on the PoW Island page is the only indication this lake exists anywhere on Wikipedia. it's not mentioned anywhere else even as a redlink and our disambig page for Crooked Lake doesn't list it. I'd love to put one up, but the only source I can find is a Canadian topographic map that covers Crooked Lake (and a Dolphin River that likewise is a ghost on wiki). The catalog item for that is [12] and there's an online version viewable at [13]. Since you're at least marginally local is there any chance you might be able to point me to decent sourcing for this I can use to knock out a page on it? I don't have access to Wikipedia Library so there may be academic sources as well. Appreciate any help you may be able to provide! --WhoIs 127.0.0.1 ping/loopback 13:53, 27 November 2022 (UTC)
