- And you understand that it takes a lot more to support notability than just the name of a publication? The simple presence of footnotes to newspapers isn't enough in and of itself, and I have to be able to read what those sources are saying in order to determine whether they're actually supporting notability or not. An article has to also be about him (as opposed to "briefly mentioning his name while being principally about someone or something else") doing something that would pass a notability criterion (as opposed to trivial coverage like "person wins unimportant local award from unimportant local club") — which means I have to be able to read a source in order to determine whether it passes both of those tests or not, but obviously can't do that if I can't read the language it's written in?
