Autopatrolled granted
Hi BeanieFan11, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the autopatrolled right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. However, you should consider adding relevant wikiproject talk-page templates, stub-tags and categories to new articles that you create if you aren't already in the habit of doing so, since your articles will no longer be systematically checked by other editors (User:Evad37/rater and User:SD0001/StubSorter.js are useful scripts which can help). Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 16:48, 2 February 2021 (UTC)

FYI
Hello B. Thanks for your editing here at the 'pedia. One thing to be aware of when you run refill2 there are some bare urls that it can't fix. For example when you removed the tag here there were still 10 references that were bare urls. I formatted them with this edit. But I only knew they were still bare because I was on that page while you were editing it. If I hadn't been there I would not have known that there were still refs to fix. After you rtun refill2 it is always a good idea to scroll down and check the reference section to see whether there are any bare urls left over. If there are any left just leave the template at the top of the page and other editors will come along to finish things up. Some editors will get bent out of shape if any refs are missed and you don't want to get messages from them when all you are trying to do is help. Thanks again and cheers. MarnetteD|Talk 23:35, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
- Hi again. The same thing happened at the Peter Coveney article. You removed the template but there were still 4 bare urls. You will want to go back and check any other articles that you have run refill2 on to see it it missed any other bare urls. Thanks. MarnetteD|Talk 23:43, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
- Oh, sorry, I didn't realize that. I'll check the articles I did refill2 with. Thanks for letting me know. BeanieFan11 (talk | contribs) 00:06, 14 February 2021 (UTC)
- I have a question, what if there is no title for a citation? Would it still need to changed? Thanks. BeanieFan11 (talk | contribs) 00:21, 14 February 2021 (UTC)
- It might have to be done manually but I would have to see it to be sure B. I forgot to mention that when you run refill2 if you get the message "The tool encountered some errors." in the field just below the blue line that means some refs could not be put into cite templates. When that happens you can save the ones that did get fixed and leave the rest for other editors to finish up. Enjoy your Sunday. MarnetteD|Talk 02:15, 14 February 2021 (UTC)

Issues with reFill
Hi BeanieFan, you should probably be aware that reFill is very much an imperfect tool, especially since its development appears to have been abandoned some time ago. This means that whenever you use it on an article with a dead link, it will insert the deprecated |deadurl=
parameter, rather than the now used |url-status=dead
, which will invariably cause a whole lotta red in the reference section. I'd appreciate it if you could check your future edits for this so they don't show up in the tracking category. Thanks! AngryHarpytalk 07:14, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
I have removed the {{proposed deletion/dated}}

back to the page. Instead, feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks! Eagles 24/7 (C) 18:58, 25 February 2021 (UTC)

- @Bigmike2346 Ok, thanks. Is it for all of them or just the ones below the Ameche Dayne Running Back of the Year Award? And by the way, I saw you put on the Desmond Kitchings talk page you wanted a redirect for Des Kitchings (I did that). Brian Flones
According to Pro Football Reference[1], Flones only played in the 1981 and 82 seasons. Do you have any sources that says he played in 1983?-UCO2009bluejay (talk) 02:51, 24 May 2021 (UTC)
- @UCO2009bluejay I added that for two reasons. 1. Someone claiming to be Brian Flones asked on the WikiProject NFL talk page and 2. On this it says he was on the physically unable to perform list. So while he didn't play in 83 he was still with the team. Also, could you tell me what you think of Wikipedia talk:WikiProject National Football League#Questions for NFL, CFL projects. Thanks. TheBirdsShedTears (talk) 18:29, 26 July 2021 (UTC)Delaware State football coaches
I found some new sources that indicate that John L. McKinley was Delaware State's coach in 1931, not 1932; see https://www.newspapers.com/clip/82449621/the-new-york-age/. Seems that Edward Jackson probably became coach in 1932 based on this article: https://www.newspapers.com/clip/82450851/california-eagle/. Not sure where James Powell Calvin fits in. Perhaps he coached in 1930 or earlier? I haven't been able to find anything on him. Jweiss11 (talk) 02:30, 30 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Jweiss11 Thanks for clearing that up, some of these early Del. State seasons are getting so confusing for me. In my search of Newspapers.com from 1924 to 1930, I only found a coach mentioned once (Coach Naylor, which I later figured out was John D. Naylor). I also didn't find anything for James Powell Calvin. What do you think should be done about the article? BeanieFan11 (talk) 18:49, 30 July 2021 (UTC)
- Where did you find that mention of Naylor coaching Delaware State in 1927? I found his 1955 obituary: https://www.newspapers.com/clip/82523297/the-morning-news/, https://www.newspapers.com/clip/82523311/obituary-for-naylor/. Jweiss11 (talk) 06:10, 31 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Jweiss11 this article about Delaware (then Dover?) State v. Howard High (Wilmington) mentions "Coach Naylor of the Dover team...". I assumed it was John D. Naylor because I doubt there would be another 1920s Delaware football "coach Naylor". BeanieFan11 (talk) 17:15, 31 July 2021 (UTC)

Goldey–Beacom College football
BeanieFan11, regarding those edits on the categories, we generally have one set of categories for college athletic/football programs where there was a merger between two institutions and a combining of the programs. Category:Case Western Spartans football is the most robust example. When did Goldey and Beacon combine to form Goldey–Beacom College? Were the two football team still around? We need to think about how this all syncs up with the extant Goldey–Beacom Lightning. Jweiss11 (talk) 23:13, 31 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Jweiss11 see my edit summary here. Goldey and Beacom merged in 1951, Goldey football was discontinued in c. 1933 while Beacom was 1935. BeanieFan11 (talk) 23:44, 31 July 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks. Any idea when the Lightning nickname came into usage? Did the two school have nicknames before the football programs folded in the 1930s? Jweiss11 (talk) 23:48, 31 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Jweiss11 it appears per this that the "Lighting" nickname was adopted in 1998/1999. So far for Goldey (I haven't done a deep search on either yet), I haven't found any nickname. It appeared the same for Beacom, except I saw a few mentions of "Beacomites", but that may be just because of the school name. BeanieFan11 (talk) 00:12, 1 August 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks. Any idea when the Lightning nickname came into usage? Did the two school have nicknames before the football programs folded in the 1930s? Jweiss11 (talk) 23:48, 31 July 2021 (UTC)
