A tag has been placed on Draft:Hellshot, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Baecien. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Draft:Hellshot, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the COI guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 21:17, 15 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The page File:Baecien Memoji.jpg has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appeared to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition has been deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion Review — JJMC89(T·C) 21:17, 15 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Hellshot Promotional Poster.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Hellshot Promotional Poster.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — JJMC89(T·C) 21:20, 15 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon

Hello Baecien. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Baecien. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Baecien|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. — JJMC89(T·C) 21:20, 15 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing. Additionally, If you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block. To do so, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page.

Request reason:

This account is used for personal reasons and does not have anything biased to do with the company. If you took yourself 3 seconds to look at my Wikipedia profile, you would see a linked Twitter profile. This Twitter profile does not mention said company neither does it mention the game. The Wikipedia page I created for "Hellshot" was not intended as promotion or advertisement. I do not understand how my name can be taken as "promotional" as it is my personal game tag and online username used across games and a variety of services. Please unblock this account as I feel it was done unfairly.

Decline reason:

Clear and blatant violations of WP:COI. You are very directly related to Nihoko Software and the Hellshot product. Shame on you for claiming this account is only used for personal reasons. You will not be unblocked to write about Hellshot or about Nihoko Software. And given your apparent attempt to mislead us here, I'd strongly oppose unblocking you to write about anything else. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Sorry if it may have seemed that this account was used for advertising reasons. If I was to receive and unblock, I would not recreate the Wiki page about Hellshot. This account is still used for personal reasons, although I am working for Nihoko Software.

Decline reason:

If you work for Nihoko Software, we don't know when you are "on the clock" for the company or "off the clock" editing for personal reasons; you clearly have more than personal reasons involved here. Given that, I don't see a pathway to being unblocked for you other than the standard offer, and even that isn't guaranteed given the attempts to mislead here. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 13:50, 16 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

As of the name of my account, Baecien, being connected to the company in question is because the domain was originally intended for personal use. I later redone the website and it became a company website. I am going to change the domain for the website over the summer. The only hing that can be seen as done in favor of the company is the wiki "Hellshot" that was in question. I may agree that this was suspicious activity. My other edits, and the edits I have planned for the future are not done on the behalf of the company. This account is still a personal account. If I was to get unblocked, I would not recreate the Hellshot page, and my future edits will not be done on behalf of the company.

Decline reason:

Procedural decline. Please acknowledge acceptance of Sasquatch;s terms-- "assurances that you are not going to edit anything related to your work, including pages on software, games and companies that you have worked for or currently work for."  Dlohcierekim (talk) 17:11, 4 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I have reviewed the information and kind of see what happened. I understand that your username is just your online alias. However, before I unblock, I would need assurances that you are not going to edit anything related to your work, including pages on software, games and companies that you have worked for or currently work for. If you can abide by that rule, then I am willing to unblock. Sasquatch t|c 05:01, 19 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
