Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Template:DreamWorks Animation, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Like I've said previously several times, navboxes are for existing articles. Create articles first, then add them. Whoa, whoa hold on… i only got rid of Meet the Gillmans, not mess it up BMA-Nation2020 (talk) 07:26, 7 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

"they stay, no changing. Navboxes are fine like this. You shouldn’t judge them by their looks", pardon? You again did the following:
  • ** [[Shrek (franchise)#Spin-off|''Puss in Boots'']] As far as Wikipedia is concerned, Puss In Boots is part of the larger Shrek franchise
  • Same goes for Dog Man, there is nothing about a film adaption in that article
  • Megamind: The Button of Doom, Panda Paws, Marooned, To: Gerald, Precious Templeton: A Pony Tale and The Bad Guys in Maraschino Ruby do not have articles. WP:NAV is for WP:EXISTING articles.
So I'm going to ask you again to create the articles first, before unnecessarily adding these into the navbox. And please undo your own revert. You are being disruptive at this point and not following clearly established guidelines. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 07:44, 7 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Looking back at your talk page, in the less than two years you've been here you had a history of edit warring, and you've been issued several warnings. I do not want to see you blocked. You are very welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, but you can't use your autism as an excuse not to follow guidelines or go against consensus. Like French philosopher Sartre said, hell is other people, but here you have to work with other editors. Could you undo your revert, please? no undoing. I'm tried of this. I leave it where it was and that's final. Stop bothering me and please let me do my own thing. Dog Man and Puss in Boots have both franchises. and i moved the short films list to the related ones. So it won't be a bothersome for you to revert it. the template for Skydance is fine but DreamWorks isn't. Don't talk to me like this again and again and do not discuss me over the templates i edit. Your recent editing history at Template:Skydance Media shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Your submission at Articles for creation: Air Jordan (film) (January 14)

[edit]
Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Robert McClenon was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: This draft has been Rejected by a reviewer in the Articles for Creation review process, as too soon. DO NOT resubmit this draft or attempt to resubmit this draft or prepare or submit a draft that is substantially the same as this draft, and do not resubmit this draft or a similar draft until the events have occurred to make the subject notable. You may request a discussion with the rejecting reviewer, or you may request a discussion with the community at the Teahouse. A discussion will probably result in advice as to what conditions need to be met for notability.

It should be noted that the reviewer has not decided that the topic will not be notable in the future. An article on the topic may be accepted in the future. This draft will not become an article until the specified events occur for notability.

If this draft is resubmitted without discussion, or before notability has been satisfied, or if an attempt is made to resubmit this draft or an equivalent draft, without addressing the reasons for the Rejection by starting over, a partial block or a topic-ban may be requested against the submitting editor.

You may ask for advice about Rejection at the Teahouse.

This draft was Rejected by reviewer User:Bonadea on 21 November 2022, and has been resubmitted with no attempt to discuss the rejection. Resubmitting a draft after rejection without even discussing it with the reviewers is tendentious.

It has already been explained that this unreleased film does not satisfy the stringent requirements for notability of future films. Resubmitting it without discussion is insulting to the reviewers.

If this draft is resubmitted without substantial discussion, a topic-ban and partial block will be requested.

Hello, BMA-Nation2020

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Bungle, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Municipal Pictures, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to contest the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Bungle}}. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. Thanks!

I did not completely understand the guidelines, I will now, moving forward, make a sincere effort to read and understand the guidelines and will follow the guidelines this point forward. Many people with conditions like autism successfully participate here, and it's possible for you to as well, but you are going to need to tell us what you will change about your actions going forward. You will also need to describe your understanding of the policies and guidelines that are relevant to your edits(such as WP:NFF; films generally do not merit articles until they are released, not when they finish filming). Film Notability Question

[edit]

I am aware that some editors think that an article on a film is in order when the film has finished principal photography. I am asking what policy or guideline or essay is the basis of that thinking. I have several times seen editors, including yourself, say that a film article should be in article space because it has finished filming, and have not been able to find the guideline to that effect. Please advise me as to where that is stated. Robert McClenon (talk) 17:30, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Robert McClenon: I think WP:NFF is what you're looking for.-- Ponyobons mots 17:36, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
https://deadline.com/2022/09/jason-bateman-netflix-21-laps-dark-wire-surveillance-gangs-movie-1235130444/ It’s this link here but Ravenwing took it down cause i was wrong about it not done filming. BMA-Nation2020 (talk) 18:18, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
And with that, NFF doesn't state that films that have finished principal photography ought to have articles. It states that films that haven't shouldn't. Ravenswing 19:03, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Of course. BMA-Nation2020 (talk) 19:18, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Robert McClenon: What Ponyo is saying is true about what guideline is the basis of that thinking. And for that, I still apologize for my actions. But to be honest, some user did this without noticed, and without second thoughts, I had to put it up and cause the whole mess in the process. I know now that it was wrong and I take full responsibility for my actions against breaking the guidelines and not listening to others. I am still sorry Mr. McClenon about the misunderstanding and to the people that tried to reason with me, @InfiniteNexus:, @MikeAllen:, @Soetermans:, @Ravenswing:, @Indagate:, and others.
And of course, I have to obey the rules of the Template for Skydance Media. I know some of the links are not confirmed and that I was wrong about how I acted like that. I was just making sure it's up to date over the current Wikipedia so far. I have a few notes about some concerns of the template. Paramount Pictures doesn't count since it's only a distributor and doesn't have the rights to make it as a sub-division company like 20th Century Studios. A source about Skydance shows it being in the hands of Apple TV+ And would continue Paramount with it's franchises. Including Jack Reacher, which also counts as a franchise based on the books, the films and the Reacher series. Franchises for that should go on top and also two pages from Skydance Television, including a discussion about splitting Skydance Television, are being discussed at the moment. One being the new Paramount+ series, and the other being the talk show related to Dietland. And I also plan to not make the Skydance Task Force Defunct over what InfiniteNexus thinks but moved to a Draft space to prevent more arguments over what happened. That way until I get ten members on board, I won't have to face the consequences over my actions.
Either way, I hope this makes a true statement regarding my actions against what happened. I hope to make it better than last time. Your regards, BMA-Nation2020 (talk) 21:48, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
NFF does not allow for drafts to be automatically eligible for the mainspace once filming starts, for NFF to be satisfied the production of the film itself also has to satisfy WP:GNG. As I've explained to you before, only subjects that have articles belong on navboxes, because the purpose of navboxes is to provide navigation among existing articles. Until the drafts you are referring to are moved to the mainspace (which is not guaranteed), they do not belong on any navbox. Your continued insistence on adding non-articles to the navbox does not show me that you've gained a better understanding of WP guidelines and conventions. And again, I've explained this to you before, so either you've already forgotten (WP:CIR), or you didn't understand what I was saying (also CIR), or you are intentionally ignoring my past comments (WP:IDIDNTHEARTHAT). InfiniteNexus (talk) 23:06, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I did not have a good understanding of the guidelines involving the navboxes. I have read the guidelines and with your help, have learned to understand. I won't put anything on the navboxes until the drafts are accepted. If I'm allowed to participate, and I should make a mistake, I would appreciate if you help me correct it. BMA-Nation2020 (talk) 23:40, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi BMA-Nation2020, it's not up to me to lift your block. I still think you have the best intentions and that you are perhaps more aware of the guidelines. What I'm wondering is how you will act in the future, in case you're having an argument. You've been impatient, responded crudely and in all caps, to me and to others. What will you do in the future if your edits get reverted and you think you are in the right? soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 18:42, 18 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I understand you can not lift my block since you're not an admin. Though by the words you said about my intentions, those are all things I’ve been working on. I guess the only way to find out is to give me a chance. I’ve been working really hard to understand the rules. I’m not saying I’ll never make a mistake again, but I’m also working hard on how I respond to things. This has been an enlightening experience for me. Request reason:

Okay... after much discussion about my actions, and getting to understand a lot from your standpoints, I realized that my actions were unacceptable. I've been working on my social shortcomings with my father, and discussed how I would change in the future. From reading the guidelines to satisfying the WP:GNG for the WP:NFF over making articles unless they're done filming, I now have a better understanding of the rules here on the Wikipedia and will do my best to follow them. Not to mention my rudeness and my impatientness took me a little too far by my actions. So, I'm gonna work on that and see where it takes me, but for now on, I will not break any more guidelines and try my very best to follow the rules and handle adverse situations in a different manner than the past. I appreciate your consideration in this matter and request I be unblocked on the Wikipedia.

Decline reason:

You seem to think WP:NFF says films should have articles once they are done filming. That's clearly not the case. "films that have already begun shooting, but have not yet been publicly released (theatres or video), should generally not have their own articles" (emphasis mine). I'm sorry to say, I don't believe Wikipedia is the place for you yet. This is nothing personal, I just do not believe you currently have the skills necessary to understand our policies and guidelines. en.wikipedia is notorious for having a lot of policies and guidelines, so lots of people aren't capable of understanding or following them all. I suggest you spend time on another project. Once you have at least six months and hundreds of constructive edits on another project and have no problems during that time, feel free to come back here and request an unblock. Hello, BMA-Nation2020,
I'm not here to review your block but I did want to tell you one thing. I have been editing Wikipedia for almost 10 years and have over 400,000 edits. I've been an administrator for 7 of those years. And still, almost daily, I have people come to my talk page because they are upset with something I've done. It's the nature of collaborative editing that there is criticism from editors who have a different understanding of the guidelines or who want to point out mistakes they think I've made.. This is the nature of Wikipedia and you have to find a way to be okay with that, consider their arguments and respond politely. It's not always easy but it's necessary if you want to return to editing here. I understand that can be a challenge with your condition but communication is essential among editors and I hope if you get unblocked, you find a way to not view these interactions as "harrassment" but as the natural give and take with a collaborative environment. Liz Read! Talk! 03:54, 19 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I’m sorry but Wikipedia is a nice place for me to fit in. I have no other project to turn to unless it’s another article to follow by. I thought the guidelines were the reason I blocked but there has to be a reason why for my Disruptive editing. If you give me a chance, I won’t make the same mistake I did in the past. I can’t wait six months cause I get worried sometimes. I know I did something and I don’t want to end up like last time from my behavior. If I could find out why, maybe, just maybe, I could learn from it and never do it again. A kind user told me that “I hope if I get unblocked, I find a way to not view these interactions as "harrassment" but as the natural give and take with a collaborative environment.” And I would “find a way to be okay with that, consider their arguments and respond politely.” I hope you admins reconsider over my actions and hopefully give me a understanding of what to do before jumping into another project. MikeAllen

[edit]

@MikeAllen: Sorry to break another guideline of WP:DENY but… it wasn’t my fault I didn’t know about the Apple distrubtor thing. During my work on The Greatest Beer Run Ever a user named @IAmNMFlores: thinks that Apple TV+ should be under Apple Studios as a distributor on all Apple films from his understandment here: User talk:IAmNMFlores#Streaming Service Distributors. I didn’t wanna start a edit war against him but was trying to reason with him on the same thing you’ve done now reverting every Apple TV+ film so far. When a film saids Apple Original Films presents, it should be from Apple Studios. I advise you to ask IAmNMFlores about this problem before reverting everything back so far. Sorry about breaking the guideline of WP:DENY. Should have read it when I had the chance. BMA-Nation2020 (talk) 20:07, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

What you did in October 2022 was go through every Apple film and change it from Apple TV+ to Apple Studios as the distributor. Apple Studios is the same as Apple Original Films, from what I gather. I double checked with Variety Insight and under production was Apple Studios and distributor was Apple TV+. Proof Apple TV+ is the distributor of The Greatest Beer Run Ever Mike Allen 20:35, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Look here and you'll find that it says Apple Studios does distribute. IAmNMFlores (talk) 21:09, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
"As part of the exclusive deal, Apple Studios will develop, produce and distribute globally Playtone projects". Further down: "No other details about the “Greyhound” sequel were immediately available or whether Hanks would be expected to return to star, but Apple Studios would be producing the sequel." Yup they do. Playtone projects only. Not the point of what BMA-Natioin went around and did and I spent an hour fixing. Mike Allen 21:19, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
But Apple Original Films is a label for how they distribute films. Any films having Apple Studios on the label would be potential. IAmNMFlores was trying to fix it himself for The Greatest Beer Run Ever and I helped him for it. BMA-Nation2020 (talk) 21:21, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It's funny that suddenly after this conversation, an IP 64.237.90.58 is undoing those edits and even editing draft pages you created and only edited. Might want to read WP:SOCKPUPPET. Mike Allen 01:51, 21 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Fine, fine, I'm sorry I forgot about SockPuppet. But I'm working on trying to unblock myself. I didn't mean to cause this. I'm starting to be impatient but I fixed a few so i'll leave it along for a while until things are slowly better. I am so sorry @MikeAllen: about my behavior. It will never happen again. I promise. BMA-Nation2020 (talk) 02:07, 21 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
But The Family Plan is co-produced from Municipal Pictures under this source. https://deadline.com/2022/08/mark-wahlberg-the-family-plan-apple-original-films-skydance-1235092944/ It's a production company from Father Stu. BMA-Nation2020 (talk) 02:11, 21 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Plus, I didn't mean to cause any harm to the pages. I've been through the guidelines by the NFF and the NAVBOXES and tired to move the task force as a Draft before it got reverted. @MikeAllen I know what I'm doing might be right or wrong but I'm doing my best to not get screwed on Wikipedia. I fixed Skydance Media, add a few ajdustments on it's Template I made, confirmed the release dates of the films like Heart of Stone and Ghosted and didn't want to cause any draft submissions until they're done filming. WP:NFF states that "Films that have not been confirmed by reliable sources to have commenced principal photography should not have their own articles, as budget issues, scripting issues and casting issues can interfere with a project well ahead of its intended filming date." I rest my case. BMA-Nation2020 (talk) 02:22, 21 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
So if you're kind enough, can you delete my work group in WikiProject Animation to show that it's not defunct but rather moved in a draftspace, @MikeAllen? You can ask @InfiniteNexus if it's okay. Thanks. BMA-Nation2020 (talk) 02:26, 21 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I think I realized something. What if Apple Studios is the production company, and Apple Original Films is the distribution label? Here says that AOF is the theatrical distributor while ATV+ is the streaming distributor. I say we put both AOF and ATV+ as distributors for theatrical and streaming releases. Considering every Apple film says AOF, I think for streaming only movies we can put on the distributor parameter (look at source) :
Apple TV+
(under Apple Original Films) IAmNMFlores (talk) 00:39, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That can work close, right @MikeAllen:? BMA-Nation2020 (talk) 01:26, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That sounds reasonable. It appears since these labels were just created in the last 5 years not all website and databases have updated. Right now, the Apple Original Films page is is a redirect to List of Apple TV+ original films. Maybe an actual article can be created for Apple Original Films, or at least a section in the Apple Studios article. Mike Allen 01:43, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've kinda redirected AOF to the list actually. A draft of Apple Original Films will do fine. I could try make it or have @IAmNMFlores do it if i'm still blocked. BMA-Nation2020 (talk) 04:18, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@IAmNMFlores, MikeAllen, and BMA-Nation2020: Please use caution if using "Apple Original Films" as a distributor. It is probably not the best choice... Apple, Inc. might be better. The reason is that not every film they distribute is an original. Look at CODA. This film was distributed by Apple on Apple TV+, but is is not an original film from Apple. Apple acquired the distribution rights at that year's Sundance. Point being, Apple does buy some films for distribution, and calling them original would be wrong. Apple Original Films should only apply to those that they developed from the start. Differentiating that might be more trouble than it's worth when just Apple can be used. -2pou (talk) 20:32, 27 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Apple Original Films is the actual name of their distribution label though. It's like Original Film, and we know they don't do original films often. IAmNMFlores (talk) 20:39, 27 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I apologize for the WP:SOCKPUPPET thing, I've completely forgot about that before. I should have been patient and wait it out. I promise that was the last thing I'll ever do in the wiki. This is what the user stated over my actions: "I hope if I get unblocked, I find a way to not view these interactions as "harrassment" but as the natural give and take with a collaborative environment." And I would “find a way to be okay with that, consider their arguments and respond politely.” If there's anything I need to learn to get along with others in the wiki, please give me a sign or anything to have me follow the wikipedia guidelines down. Thank you and I'm deeply sorry that i was User:Fixer113. I was nervous, had second thoughts, and I didn't think it through. I'm sorry, @MikeAllen. I'm sorry, @NinjaRobotPirate. And I'm sorry the rest of everyone who tired to warn me about the guidelines. I just wish there was another way to be one of you guys.
