RfC on reliable sources for Eurovision articles
[edit]A second RfC has been started on sourcing for Eurovision articles, you can view it at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Eurovision#RfC on reliable sources for Eurovision articles. This RfC is critical as it will help determine how current and future Eurovision articles are sourced, and as much participation as possible is needed for a consensus to develop. You are being notified as you are listed as an active user of Wikipedia:WikiProject Eurovision, and hence the results of this RfC could have a large impact on the articles you edit. Camaron · Christopher · talk 09:10, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
- You have stated in Junior_Eurovision_Song_Contest_2010 that ESCKaz.com is not "trust worthy". Please, prove your opinion by giving examples of the facts when information published on this website has been wrong. It is one thing when we're discussing "reliability" of all Eurovision fan-sites in general, but stating that the leading site on coverage of JESC is not "trust worthy" is quite different and I think needs some proof. Please, respond here, I will monitor this page. Thanks. AlexeyU (talk) 22:53, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

Straw poll on reliable sources for Eurovision articles
[edit]The second RfC on sourcing for Eurovision articles has now being running for several weeks, you can view it at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Eurovision#RfC on reliable sources for Eurovision articles. In order to help gauge the spread of opinion and draw conclusions from this discussion a straw poll has been started at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Eurovision#Straw poll. All project members are encouraged to read the RfC thoroughly and then cast their votes as they see fit. Rationales are still encouraged in the main discussion area above the poll, and participants can add appropriate new sources or options to the poll as they wish. Orphaned non-free media (File:Canal9valenciana.png)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Canal9valenciana.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 04:03, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

AfD nomination of BBC One 'Balloon' idents
[edit]An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is BBC One 'Balloon' idents. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/BBC One 'Balloon' idents. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:07, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to the relevant discussion pages: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/BBC Two 1991-2001 idents for BBC Two 1991-2001 idents, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/BBC One 'Circle' idents for BBC One 'Circle' idents, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/BBC One 'Rhythm & Movement' idents for BBC One 'Rhythm & Movement' idents.
--Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:10, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

STV
[edit]Thankyou for your concern in this matter, and, after your edits and post on my talk page I did re-read the guidelines, but, I am still of the opinion that the article's name should be STV Central and that Grampian Television should be re-named STV North. The reason for this is that these are the proper names for the television channels and most people now refer to them as STV when talking about the combined network and STV Central/North when talking about the specific franchisee. I have therefore restored my original edits and would appreciate no further meddling, unless you can provide a good reason for your actions. Nocrowx (talk) 00:18, 2 January 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Hello,
I am currently drafting the January and February 2010 WikiProject Eurovision Newsletter. As you will be aware each month the newsletter contains a "from the members" section for a member to comment on aspects of the project. Since you are an active member and don't seem to have previously done this, I thought you should be invited to write it for this edition. You can see past "from the members" commentary in previous editions of the newsletter for ideas. The newsletter is due for publication within the next few days. If you don't wish to do it, please say so, and I will ask someone else. Thanks in advance. Camaron · Christopher · talk 18:40, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

Why didn't I move - reason
[edit]1.Because I have found the nice revision, and I want to keep it.
2.I see that only Telewizja Polska is only one to have the abbrivation as TVP.
- Textured vegetable protein
- Telewizja Polska, a Polish public television - I see that the name is TVP1 and TVP2, not Telewizja Polska 1 and Telewizja Polska 2, not like Nepal Television, which have Nepal Television 1 and Nepal Television 2, not NTV1 and NTV2
- Television Personalities, a rock music band
- Total Valid Poll, a value used to calculate votes. See Droop Quota formula
- TVPaint, an animation software package by TVPaint Developpement
- TV Pendidikan, a former Malaysian educational television channel
- The Vanity Project, a musical project and self-tited album
- Thames Valley Police, a police force in the United Kingdom
- Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai, a 2010 Tamil film, starring Vishal Reddy
The rest I didn't see any to be official name as TVP, Why BL don't have Blacklist in the disambiguation. Most people know TVP as Telewizja Polska.
Try see the article, TVP and Telewizja Polska articles are different revisions, moving isn't good as reverting it, I see one people copy-and-paste the article Telewizja Polska to TVP in September 2009.
And why Hong Hong's TVB Pearl (or just TVB) are in article TVB, not Television Broadcasting, and Norwegian NRK, why NRK is a redirect, and why Italian RAI, why not its full name? TVP will be one.
3.I don't want to let the talk page and history go there.--113.53.212.126 (talk) 17:08, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

[edit]WHY U KEEP REVERT AND NOT READ OR REPLY MY COMMENTS ON YOUR TALK PAGE, AND WHY DONT U READ IN TVP's TALK PAGE--125.25.10.148 (talk) 10:52, 20 March 2010 (UTC)
No, This is not copy-and-paste!
[edit]I revert to old one which was copy and paste, and I think it's correct revision, and I don't want to take history there, because there will be a Polish IP come and revert, which is false, he is just 15, I have Polish teacher and she is 46--125.25.10.148 (talk) 10:55, 20 March 2010 (UTC)
I know,
[edit]I know that, and
- That revision is NOT available on Telewizja Polska article, so it's unable to move
- It takes many days until the move, so if once it is reverted by that Polish IP and then it's got a false info
- Same as TVP from TVP (disambiguation).
- I don't want to take talk page there

Anonymous Thai IP
[edit]I think you are an administrator, if not, request some other administrator please.
There's an IP editor and he edits Myanmar Radio and Television first, and then he keeps editing other Myanmar articles like Myanmar TV and Television in Burma and lots more article. On Tuesday he edited Vietnam Television, by changing to Very Terrible Video and he claimed that he test User:Tw3435 that said to be a computer bot. And then User:Boing! said Zebedee reverted Vietnam Television and requested User:Ged UK to protect article, then I see that it is reverted, I revert back (as he removed "Appearances" section) and he keeps reverting, later I check Magyar Televízió article and edit it (with stupidity that Boing! said Zebedee is watching and keeps viewing my contributions) and Boing! said Zebedee revert it again.
Keep this secret and never let Boing! said Zebedee know.
Here are some actions that you have to do.
- Block Boing! said Zebedee. (He isn't the admin, so it is easy to block it) in the time of 1 year. If he still doing this after 1 year then block him forever. This isn't personal attack. Look below why you have to do this:
- He let me provide the references, many of them are hard to find like Test Card as it is pointless to make references.
- Vietnam Television article contains no references, adding that is OK as it has no references. I noticed 50% of all the articles I've read on Wikipedia have no or very few references.
- Magyar Televízió article contains only one reference. If that is unsourced then why don't remove some more like History?
- Next Monday, I will edit only Magyar Televízió article and Vietnam Television article or he will remove more. HE NEVER TRUST MY EDITS!!!
- Also watch Myanmar Radio and Television article, and keep blocking every IP users who edits that article after now.
- Boing! said Zebedee believed that I am the same person as Myanmar TV editor. No! He's Thai but I am American.
Many years ago (Around 2003, around 7 years ago) I edited Wikipedia. But I can't remember what article, and then the edit war starts and then later I requested an admin to block another user, and the admin blocked me instead. At that time I live in America. Small error in image
[edit]Hi,
Thanks for your work on Wiki. I was looking at one of your images, the map for UK digital switch-over and noticed what seems to be a minor error you might like to know about: The transmitter at Ridge Hill, north of Mendip, has a switch-over date of 20 Apr 2011 but this area is coloured dark green to indicate switch-over has happened. Should this be 20 Apr 2010? Thanks again for your efforts.

Curious as to edit removing Mascots feature off Bolton article
[edit]I was wondering why you reverted the edit and put not a good idea, its a featured article in the local paper. The town was very proud of the little mascots. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rovington (talk • contribs) 20:54, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
- Yes of course the article is about the town, but Mascots are based on drops of steel from the Bolton contractor who is actually building the arena, thats why the Bolton News had that on the front page. Not only is Bolton connected to the Olypics by the Mascots the town firms are working on the building and addionally it is expected that the local area will be used again by the Games. The town has been very proud of the Mascots and the fact that Bolton was chosen as one of only four places to unveil them. The Mascots do have a place in the article. (Rovington (talk) 20:19, 21 May 2010 (UTC))
- On my talk you suggested I cut and pasted the article that is not correct, I did reword and added info from local paper, the Bolton News, although I admit I did retain a few bits from the other article on wikipedia. can we agree for the Moscots to be put back in as a mention for my hometown who are very proud of the little mascots.(Rovington (talk) 20:35, 21 May 2010 (UTC))
