Copyright problems with File:Nick India.gif
Hello. Concerning your contribution, File:Nick India.gif, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.dishtracking.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/Nick_Logo.gif. As a copyright violation, File:Nick India.gif appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. File:Nick India.gif has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.
If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:
- If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at File talk:Nick India.gif and send an email with the message to permissions-enwikimedia.org. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that it is licensed under the CC-BY-SA license, leave a note at File talk:Nick India.gif with a link to where we can find that note.
- If you hold the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the CC-BY-SA and GFDL, and note that you have done so on File talk:Nick India.gif.
However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. 5060apwj (talk) 09:39, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Cyclone Laila.jpg
A tag has been placed on File:Cyclone Laila.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Your images
Hello, I have noticed that you put that you created the images yourself. Please do not! The track map for Laila was made by Wunderground.com while the image was made by Google Earth. Both are copywrited and cannot be used. Thank you, --Yueof theNorth 23:05, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

File copyright problem with File:Animax3.gif
Thank you for uploading File:Animax3.gif. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Chris G Bot (talk) 00:27, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Nickindia2.png
Thanks for uploading File:Nickindia2.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
PLEASE NOTE:

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Nickindia2.png
Thanks for uploading File:Nickindia2.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 12:19, 3 July 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 12:19, 3 July 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Dragonadopters
A tag has been placed on Dragonadopters requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}

A few problems
Anikingos - welcome to Wikipedia, and please bear in mind the following. If a "speedy deletion" request is placed on a page you created, you may not remove it. Please see WP:SPEEDY. Secondly, your article "Dragonadopters", whilst conceivably an appropriate article topic, is a blatant copyright violation of http://www.dragonadopters.com/. Please see WP:COPYVIO. Thanks, Ben MacDui 10:31, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
I have nominated Plot of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time - The Movie, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Plot of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time - The Movie. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. BLGM5 (talk) 13:22, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
Your contributed article, Plot of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time - The Movie
Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Plot of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time - The Movie. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (film). Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (film) - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.
If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. DitzyNizzy (aka Jess)|(talk to me)|(What I've done) 14:01, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

- Hi, regarding the above article - I removed some superfluous text and suggested a merge with Annoying Orange, which was done by another editor. You reverted this merge with the edit summary "i reverted all the merge edit, it is true vandalism and may not be accepted". Please note that you don't own the article, the character is barely notable, the article is unreferenced and the merge created a re-direct the article about the series, which is more notable and less likely to be deleted. Also, good-faith editing isn't generally considered vandalism. Please feel free to discuss this, either here, at my talk page (see my sig) or the article's talk page. If you'd prefer deletion rather than a merge and re-direct, let me know and I'll nominate the article for you at WP:AfD. Thanks, Baffle gab1978 (talk) 18:01, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

Pokemon SLV Indian airing date?
Hey anik, CN India ne kab date announce kerdi season 13 ki? CN India ne to Battle Dimension bhi complete nahein kiya aur ap chale season 13 k sapne dekhne. So, do not add any kind of fake info in the articles just like you did [1]. Please, remember this thing in future otherwise the consequences can be serious. Thank you. ♫♪Adyniz♪♫ 19:31, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
- For your kind information, first, wikipedia doesn't follow speculations or fan based assumptions as a strong citation is must. And second, I do live in Pakistan but my cable operator provides CN Pakistan as well as CN India. Not only this, but there is a little thing we call www.cartoonnetworkindia.com which have the schedule. Along with that, CN Pakistan and CN India uses the same hindi dub for both channels because both are affiliates and CN Pakistan is a seperate feed for Pakistani viewers launched by CN INDIA. All the Pokemon seasons air on the same time (sometimes it airs first on CN Pakistan as Pokemon Diamond & Pearl aired on CN Pakistan on 9th November and CN India aired it on 16th November), so I've much more knowledge than you expect bud. Got it? Thanks ♫♪Adyniz♪♫ 12:53, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
- Hey anik, just want to help you regarding wiki sign thingy. Instead of writing "comment added by Anikingos" you can easily sign your comments on talk pages just by putting '''~~~~'''. You just have to put four tildes (~ signs) after your comment on a talk page and it will automatically generate a perfect sign after your comment. Hope it helped, thank you. ♫♪Adyniz♪♫ 19:38, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- No problem, it's ok. ♫♪Adyniz♪♫ 12:58, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of List of Liam The Leprechaun episodes
You may also wish to consider using the the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on List of Liam The Leprechaun episodes requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

Addition to 2010 North Indian Ocean cyclone season
Hi Anikingos,
In one of your recent edits, you added a possible future storm into the article; however, there are a few issues with this. In general, the tropical cyclones project does not add future systems to the article as there is no guarantee a system will develop; second, the system you placed within the article is actually located within the Western Pacific, and thus would fall within the 2010 Pacific typhoon season article. We do keep track of all possible cyclones on the talk pages of every active season and archive each discussion on them. Hope this clears things up.

Inuyasha Asia airdate
Thank you for your suggestion that I watch Animax. However, I've been watching the channel long enough to say you're wrong. You don't seem to remember (or seem not to know at all) that back in 2004, Animax in India had a separate feed (Animax South Asia, as it was called back then) with separate programming. This is an archived version of their website from The Wayback Machine, from 2004. As you can see, the current run of Inuyasha is NOT a premiere. What's more, the series had so many reruns over the years that I lost count. Following your own advice, if you watch the channel, you'd realize that there wouldn't be any reason why the channel would ask its viewers to "catch up on" the 167 episodes of Inuyasha, if it were a premiere. I suggest that you refrain from making any more edits adding current airdates, so speaks rohith. 04:28, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

Maid-Sama!
Just inform you that i reverted your image on Maid-Sama!.
The Anime/Manga project on Wikipedia settled on the practice to have for manga cover by order of preference:
- First Japanese volume cover
- First English volume cover
- Last Japanese volume cover (ended series)
- Last English volume cover (ended series)
I don't see your choice of image fitting in that. Moreover your choice was not clever because the second key character Usui was totally absent on it and the file size was totally in contradiction of the low resolution requirement for Fair Use image. --KrebMarkt (talk) 09:00, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
- but i added a thumbnail, atleast that would be nice, wouldnt it??? Anirudh Emani (talk) 09:04, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
- Rule 0: Never say to justify an image on Wikipedia that it would be nice or fun or the subject deserve it. Better say that the image is here to illustrate XYZ aspect of the article. There is no free pass for image on Wikipedia.
- There is no point to add this image if you just wanted to celebrate the volume 5 English release. Instead you should think image as a very limited resource that need to be used sparingly for the most efficiency. I will not oppose an image for the drama CDs because a bunch of drama CDs were released. --KrebMarkt (talk) 09:43, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
Why did you returned the section I removed? Aside from brutal information, that section contains non-neutral point of view. Aside from that, you have to provide references for that, if you said that is true. Those claims should also be verifiable so that we believe that the claims are true.--JL 09 q?c 10:58, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

Your addition to Talk:Iran has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Fin©™ 15:38, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
- I've just had a quick look at your contributions and notice you have a habit of copy-pasting news articles to talk pages. Please don't do so in the future. Thanks! Fin©™ 15:40, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Domengtrack1.gif
A tag has been placed on File:Domengtrack1.gif requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Cyclone Phet
Hello,
Next time, could you please not alter Phet's intensity and/or the basin in the infobox. The original values were issued from the JTWC and IMD; if it is changed in a post-storm analysis; we will change it. What was your source?
--Yueof theNorth 20:28, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
Hello,
By the way, I upload the tracks for the storms once they are given a official name or once they dissipate.
--Yueof theNorth 20:33, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
The article Anirudh Emani (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Disambiguation page in article space that only has one link, and that link is to userspace.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. –Grondemar 13:05, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Anirudh Emani
A tag has been placed on Anirudh Emani, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to an article talk page, file description page, file talk page, MediaWiki page, MediaWiki talk page, category talk page, portal talk page, template talk page, help talk, user page, user talk or special page from the main/article space.
If you can fix the redirect to point to a mainspace page, please do so and remove the speedy deletion tag. However, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag unless you are fixing the redirect. If you think the redirect should be retained as is for some reason, you can request that administrators wait a while before deleting it. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page and state your reasoning on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. DASHBot (talk) 18:00, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
Tracks:
Hello,
Do you happen to have the track map generator? I saw you updating Dianmu's track. Where did you get the data from that? We only use the JTWC data for all non-Atlantic and East/Central Pacific storm.
If you do have the track map generator, I would caution you to focus on updating current storms instead of adding new tracks until you have a little more experience with them. Don't forget to upload them to Wikimedia Commons, not on English Wikipedia.
Could you please sent me a message telling whether you have the track map generator program or not?
Thanks, --Yueof theNorth 13:17, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Hello...
Hello,
I mean this with no disrespect intended. Could you please refrain from posting on the talk pages about Tropical Cyclone Formation Alerts? There is nothing wrong with it but at the top of the page is the "Logs" for the storm that has the TCFA, Advisories, and the general monitoring data for the storm and having two posts about the same topic is redundant.
Thanks, Iuneof theEast 12:09, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
- And please, please use proper grammar, spelling, etc when editing. Also, please do not put Original Research to articles, such as the distances you put in 2010 PHS, there's advisories for that. BTW, its the NHC who issues the advisories, not NOAA, and please learn how to properly use our infobox hurricane current, as I will no longer update them in EPAC as my attention is mostly on ATL. Thanks, and happy editing! Darren23Edits|Mail 05:02, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:InuyashaHHHD.JPG
Thanks for uploading File:InuyashaHHHD.JPG.
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. 夢追人YumeChaser 03:05, 22 August 2010 (UTC)

Windspeed changes
Please stop changing windspeeds as you are making them wrong. the 1990 Andrah Pradesh Cyclone was never rated as a category five tropical cyclone on the SSHS by the JTWC. Peak winds were measured at 125kts not 145.Jason Rees (talk) 12:03, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
Tracks...
Hello,
Please do not upload tracks onto the English Wikipedia; instead upload it onto Wikimedia Commons. In addition, I request you not to update the tracks with ones not made with the track map generator as it is of higher quality that way. I update the tracks once a day (for the atlantic and east pacific).
Thanks,

Storm Season
For your storm season, I would use the tracks made by the track map generator. They are always named: File:StormName Year track.png. This is to avoid duplicate files.

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Hurricane Danielle 2010 Track.jpg
You may also wish to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on File:Hurricane Danielle 2010 Track.jpg, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Fair use rationale for File:InuyashaHHHD.JPG
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:InuyashaHHHD.JPG. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Hammersoft (talk) 21:22, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

Hello,
I technically am from Detroit, Michigan, US (I don't live there anymore). However, my mother's family is from Guntur and my father's family is from Hyderabad. I can speak Telugu relatively well and can sort of read it.

File copyright problem with File:GodavariExpress.vizag.hyderabad.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:GodavariExpress.vizag.hyderabad.jpg.
Skier Dude (talk 07:45, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Dosaheliyaan title.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Dosaheliyaan title.jpg.
If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 07:45, 8 September 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk 07:45, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

Newsletter
Hey, I wanna congratulate on your initiative on restarting the newsletter. It was a bit shaky, and probably could've used some copyediting, but I'm glad to see it up and running. Here are some pointers for the future.
1) The newsletter is for the project as a whole, so you should cover some project news. Mention any thoughts you have on the state of the project, things that are happening that are worth bringing up. Always keep an eye on WT:WPTC to see if there are any new discussions or major changes. One thing that we agreed on was stopping the sections like "The name was not retired..." So something like that would be worth mentioning. 2) Dovetailing off the above, it's for the whole project, so there really shouldn't be that much emphasis on the storms. You should do two sentences, at most, for each basin, not a paragraph for each storm! The storm of the month section also shouldn't be too long. 3) You shouldn't include all of the assessment tables. Once again, that makes it too long, and no one is going to read the whole thing. 4) What is the "Editorial Member Award"? And how is that different from "Member of the Month"? It's great to recognize the editors, but it doesn't mean much. Also, no offense to Jason Rees, but you shouldn't say sentences like "our favorite member..." Some people might read the newsletter and get annoyed!
User:Mitchazenia has already indicated he wants to write the next month's, but feel free to resume writing duties for the following one.
BTW, do you ever write any articles? I'd like to see how you'd do, since it's clear you have an interest. Hurricanehink (talk) 18:39, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
- Wait, you don't have to worry about next month's. Someone else (who's been here for five years) said they want to write it. Hurricanehink (talk) 13:20, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
