Benjamin Melendez
I have again removed the "crime" stub from Benjamin Melendez. What crime has he ever been accused of, let alone convicted? (I'm not saying specifically that he hasn't been, but I'm unaware of any, and I know a good deal about the man.) - Jmabel | Talk 01:31, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
- Nothing new: I've removed this before. Maybe we need a note there in an HTML comment pointing out that it would not be an appropriate stub? - Jmabel | Talk 16:17, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
Taffia the group
Could you explain how I vandalised, and what was wrong with my Taffia entry? Thanks
Thanks for fixing the stub issue on Three-anti/five-anti campaigns
I had to gut the text from the main article and move it to the article's talk page. I wasn't sure how to properly deal with special stubs, so I stubbed it with vigor. ;)
You don't happen to be or know anybody who is an expert in Chinese history, do you? The page is in need of some serious TLC that I'm just not capable of giving it.
Additionally, hi! I'm new here. --Roman à clef 15:05, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
British and Irish Isles
can you please tell me why replaced the stub with {{UK-geo-stub}}. Are you under the impression that the islands of Ireland belong to the UK. Please respond as I will be very interested in your response, as it relates to some other matters which I am involved in at the moment. Thanks! MelForbes 19:09, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
Using templates
With regards to your message about templates ...
- {{verify}}
- {{stub}}
- {{uncat}}
I do, indeed use templates, but I was advised to use the following ...
- {{subst:verify}}
- {{subst:stub}}
- {{subst:uncat}}
as they put less pressure on the servers. Which way is correct ???

Big stoner
It's always fun to see the new articles; I spend too much time cleaning them up than killing them. Sorry to step on you. :-) And, yes, you have a cute sig. Carlossuarez46 21:17, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for sorting the stub... I got a real (dark humor) chuckle that we actually have a {{torture-stub}}. --W.marsh 14:17, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
Yeah I know about the specific messages
that was what I was doing... but sometimes I just cant think of the right message to put up there. :) Right now I am in July 2005. only 300 somthing to go! —— Eagle (ask me for help) 18:09, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
Thanks, and sorry if I did not come across right :)
Sorry about not coming across right. I must have forgotten WP:LOVE ect. I apologize.
- p.s. yeah it is bad that we are a year behind. shakes head (I was not around when these tags were posted...)

Another meaning of your user name
Amalas, it's nice to meet you. I just wanted to let you know that Ámalas (with an accent in the initial 'A') means "Love them" in Spanish, an imperative form of the verb amar (to love), commanding to love a plurality of female subjects. Thanks for your tag in the Indostan article. Regards, AVM 01:15, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
re: Martin Brecht
Hello, Amalas, thankyou for helping with the page on this great scholar. I appreciate your assistance.--Drboisclair 21:07, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
Geo-stubs
Hi Amalas - no offence, but I'd rather you didn't edit my geo-stub tallying page. I often use it to do my last edit of the night so that I've got a reference point for my watchlist next day (very useful when you've got several hundred items on there) :) Grutness...wha? 23:57, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- Yum! :) It's no biggie, though - anyone can edit my geo-stub splitting page, and there's no reason you should know that things are any different on the tallying page. Grutness...wha? 00:11, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
re: states stubs at SFD
Sorry for the slow response: you caught me just as I was going on break for a long weekend. "Reviewing"'s just a matter of considering relisting some of the categories at some later time, if they persist in being very small. I'd suggest being very selective in doing so, though, given the number of "keep 'em all, no matter what" opinions generated. Listing them at /ST is much more of judgement call than is the "keep" as such, given that it's purely internal to WP:WSS; use your discretion, though your suggestion seems good to me, at least as regards the ones you latterly put in the "keep" category. Listing them generically is also feasible if the plan is to always keep at least the templates, so no-one will go wrong with find a state-tag "missing", even were there not to be a separate cat. I hope to be doing some SFD closures, tidying up, and page restructuring either later tonight, or sometime tomorrow, so feel free to take any related actions you consider indicated, or to ask further if I'm being unclear. Alai 19:51, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
- Not bugged at all, just didn't access wikipedia (or email) at all until I was back, and thus none the wiser. :) What you've done looks fine to me, well done. Alai 00:14, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
question about disambiguation for (a new page) Light pipe
Hello Amalas,
Thanks for your stub-categorization of the page Light tube. That page is now no longer a stub, but thanks in any case, and I´d like to ask you something relating to that page.
Initially I thought the (not-yet-existing) page Light pipe could get a redirect to Light tube (see the titles under light_tube#External_links to see that "light pipe" is indeed used as a synonym for "light tube". However, there may be need, instead, of a disambiguation page linking to, either, Light pipe or, alternatively, to the "3M light pipe" referred to in Sulfur_lamp#Light_pipes.
I´m a newbee to Wikipedia (even if well acquainted with wiki syntax etc) and I thought you could tell me whom to ask? Or should I open a Talk-page under the non-existing "Light pipe" page with this question?
Thanks, --Chris Howard 15:38, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
- Hi, I´ve added a comment after your answer on User_talk:Chris_Howard#light_tube.2Fpipe_disambig. Thanks for our encouragement and help, --Chris Howard 11:37, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
Untitled Spider-Man Animated Series subsorting
Hello, thx for helping out with the sub-sorting of Untitled Spider-Man Animated Series but there seems to be a problem, the show is not meant to be aired on TV, it's gonna be released directly to dvd so i don't think that the tv series stub fits on here.. i've looked for a dvd related article stub but i found nothing.. so what should be done now? -- PASSIVE (Talk|E-Mail) 21:07, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
Hi, just a quick note to say that there is a {{NI-stub}} as well as an {{Ireland-stub}}. Cheers. Stu ’Bout ye! 14:43, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reminder. I don't always remember the more specific stubs (like say, all the counties in England), so I often just go with the higher-level one that I do remember. I'll try to look more closely next time. Have a great day and happy editing! ~ Amalas rawr =^_^= 14:47, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- Just looked at your contributions and noticed the gazillion articles you have stub sorted. Ignore my petty comments above, good job! Stu ’Bout ye! 15:29, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
Amalas Whomeveryouare,
I was just perusing one of my favorite sites, ie. Wikipedia, and noticed that someone very kind had cut and pasted a bio of me. I see that you proposed deletion of this article, perhaps because you are unfamiliar with my work. I plan to contribute feedback (and I have heard from others who wrote directly and offered to as well) to this article, and help link it to the other entities that I have been a creator of or a part of, as well as other creative people that I have been involved with. Maybe you can inform yourself better.
I wish you well. Leave the article be for now. Life is more than clicking away.....The sun is shining outside.

Thanks for your support
Thank you for your support in my proposal for a waste stub category. --Alex 07:44, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
Waste Stub
I appreciate your thanks for supporting the waste-stub, but I'm a little concerned about some other things. I noticed that in supporting other stubs, you asked people for their opinion on your waste-stub. It's generally not a good idea to go around scrounging for votes. It's frowned upon during a RfA (see "advertising"), and it doesn't look that great on WP:WSS/P either. Also, there is a 7 day waiting period between the proposal and the creation. Meaning, since you proposed it on the 7th, you should wait until the 14th to create it, thereby allowing enough time for discussion and debate. It's too late to bother in this case, but that's something to keep in mind for the future. Thanks for your participation in WP:WSS. Have a great day and happy editing. ~ Amalas rawr =^_^= 14:17, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Amalas, I had been watching the WP:WSS for a few days and no one had made any comments on my suggestion. It's not the most interesting area and I didnt really expect a great deal of interest in waste, that was the reason I opened dialogue with other project suggesters. I didn't really consider it advertising, just asking for an opinion. Sorry for the mistake--Alex 07:43, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
Japanese Icon - Neat!
Thanks for showing me that Japanese icon on the Namjatown page. Not sure how you even stumbled upon my humble little stub :) It's my first article and I have big plans for it, but right now I'm just learning the ropes. Cheers! SlapAyoda 15:11, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
Re: Into the Black
Given that the deleted article had essentially the same content, I'll probably just mark the existing article with an AfD as well (unless there is some other procedure for this). --Wafulz 16:09, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
Theta Beta Potata PUNK HOUSE Deletion Review
This article was first started by me and was deleted back in May '06. I was reading the punk house article and saw that the link for the TBP article was no longer red so I clicked on it and there was an article back up, started by another user. I dont know who started it because, it was deleted soon after I saw it. The decision made in the "Article for Deletion" debate should be reconsidered. The article is about a punk house not a fratenal organization. It seems that the debate, run by User:ChrisB and results were reported by User:Mailer Diablo. I will post this on their talk pages. This is the first time I have requested a deletion review so please let me know what else I need to do. If there is anything. I am on wikipedia frequently and I want to learn. Thanks. Xsxex 16:28, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
I wrote you because you had contributed to the punk house article or punk house related subjects. sorry if you're not interested. Xsxex 17:20, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
- Ok sorry, but I am just trying to contact those who might support this article. We have yet to come up with a way to organize users. Thus I took it upon myself to contact the users who have contributed to the punk house article and the articles associated with it. The first comment back about the Deletion Review was to have the info from the Theta Beta Potata included on the punk house article. So it would affect the punk house article. It also might in turn affect the other articles about specific punk houses. Xsxex 17:29, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

My apologies, I copied your userpage to figure out/fiddle with the underlying CSS (and possibly use it someday, while giving credit), but forgot about it. I blanked it in the meantime. maarten 20:12, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
