Blanking

[edit]

While blanking is fine (WP:BLANK), please avoid making attacks against editors in edit summaries (WP:SUMMARYNO). The messages you received were part of standard procedures. Thank you, —PaleoNeonate19:53, 28 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies. I absolutely didn't get bored to death with certain Wikipedia editors who didn't have a King Complex, and it wasn't at all very cleansing to just delete them from my life — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alamo NM (talkcontribs)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Sunspot, New Mexico, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page AURA (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 07:18, 30 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Valentín Martínez Pillet, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

Hi
Thanks for for the notice. I confirm I do not have a conflict with the person on this page. I am retired, living in Alamogordo, and have no history with this person or their employer. My interests lie in Astronomy in the southwest USA, and are purely for my own enjoyment of this topic. Do I need to include this information on that page, or this answer sufficient? Alamo NM (talk) 21:17, 20 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No, it's okay. Just take care how you write - conform to Wikipedia:NPOV and try to stop the article looking like a CV. Deb (talk) 21:47, 22 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Draft articles

[edit]

Hello, Alamo NM,

Please do not create multiple versions of a draft article and submit it to AFC. It's a waste of our reviewer's time to review two similar drafts and our volunteers' time is the most limited resource we have at Wikipedia. Please select one draft to work on and tag the other for speedy deletion.

Ask at the Teahouse for guidance on tagging pages for speedy deletion. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 04:25, 28 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. ElKevbo (talk) 22:01, 31 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
