Hello, I'm Sea Cow. I noticed that you made a change to an article, 2021–22 Michigan State Spartans men's basketball team, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Sea Cow (talk) 01:56, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Trenton Channel Power Plant

[edit]

Hi, Aben. Please check existing sources before repeatedly changing information in an article, as you did at Trenton Channel Power Plant. I had noted, with a valid citation, that the plant was decommissioned in December 2022. You then changed it to 'may 2024' (without changing the citation), ostensibly confused about the difference between 'demolition' and 'decommission'. A user thankfully reverted this later on, and you then almost immediately undid this and changed it to 'may 18 2024', again with an ostensible misunderstanding of what a decommissioning is. As much as contributions are appreciated around here, editors should do their due dilligence before making changes and possibly misinforming readers. All the best, TheTechnician27 (Talk page) 16:52, 19 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Aben, I appreciate you're trying to help, but please stop. The problem was not just that you did not provide a source; it's that it was objectively decommissioned in December 2022, as shown by a source. The link you provided shows it was demolished March 2024, not decommissioned March 2024. This is becoming ridiculous. To "decommission" something is to take it out of service, which it was in December 2022. It was "demolished" – destroyed – in March 2024. ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:47, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
