Userboxes
Can someone tell me how to place user boxes like the one you have on your page and put it on my talk page?--Light for JC (talk) 18:33, 12 May 2010 (UTC) Light for JC
- Hi, I take it you're referring to the userboxes I have on my userpage, I think one says I have a pet cat, another says I'm female and another says I watch The Bill? I suggest that you pay a visit to Wikipedia:Userboxes. You should find the majority of the user boxes listed under there. The one for The Bill I created myself, you can do the same by going to Wikipedia:Userboxes/Design and construct. Any further questions, feel free to ask :) --5 albert square (talk) 19:12, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
Hi
I'm about to rollback this edit of yours: the creator of the page wants the article to be deleted, because there was an error in the title. No hard feelings? ^___^ Salvio ( Let's talk 'bout it!) 22:49, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
- No worries, I didn't realise that it was a new page :) --5 albert square (talk) 22:53, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
Vandalism on the Fancher–Baker party article.
I have noticed a lot of vandalism going on in the Fancher–Baker party and have been trying to repair it. I noticed you were aware of it too, and tried to fix some, but just be aware that the User:Ldean50 still is continuing to cause havoc with a few of the Mountain Meadows massacre articles and I could use your help. Thank You! Mangoman88 (talk) 07:06, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
- I'll add it to my watchlist and will revert vandalism when necessary :) --5 albert square (talk) 19:49, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

- Penny for your thoughts? I've been whacking vandals, oh and I made my first block on an established editor today :S HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 19:59, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, still going for my job interviews :(, am about to do some vandal whacking in a sec and try and find my way around the new look Wikipedia. So how does it feel to have blocked an established editor?! --5 albert square (talk) 20:08, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
- Not the greatest aspect of being an editor here, but it had to be done. Nobody complains when you block a vandal, but the slightest whiff of controversy and you get pelted by the peanut gallery. Hence, I've been on Wikinews all afternoon! I tried the new look, but I changed back! It hid all my admin buttons. I like those buttons where they are, even though I only really use 2 or 3 of them! Let me know what you think of it, though. Have fun dealing with the vandals- AIV has been backed up all day so I'm guessing they're making a nuisance of themselves! HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 20:50, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
- It's ok but I prefer the old way, looks much simpler. Shame you can't change back. I've tried working out how to but no button does it :( --5 albert square (talk) 20:54, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
- Do you not have a "Take me back" link at the top of your screen? That's how I changed my settings back to the old ones. Or you can go to "appearance" in your preferences and click on "MonoBook". - JuneGloom07 Talk? 21:15, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
- Yep just use "Take me back". It was the first thing I did on the internet today! Then later on I gave it a chance but nothing worked properly, so I told them so! AnemoneProjectors 21:21, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
- Yep, found it now. It's not at the top of my page for some reason :/ so I just went to the page that told you about the new stuff and turned it off there. Don't like the new layout of it so told them so! --5 albert square (talk) 21:25, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
- Funny. Almost every established editor hates it- is it because we just don't like change or is there something wrong with Vector? I quite like Vector on Wikinews, but no here. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 22:11, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
- It might be my browser but my editing buttons didn't work (bold, italic, etc) AnemoneProjectors 22:18, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
- I just couldn't get anything worked out on it, plus one of the buttons didn't work on it. Very strange --5 albert square (talk) 22:26, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
- It's also really hard to know if a page is watchlisted or not because it's just a coloured star. AnemoneProjectors 22:45, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

List of most common surnames in Europe
Why do we have to put Turkey, Armenia and Georgia as part of Europe. They are clearly part of Asia ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zarzu (talk • contribs) 23:34, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
- OK, can you please put why you're removing information in your edit summaries? All I could see is that you'd undone a reversion by someone else, didn't understand why :) --5 albert square (talk) 23:38, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
Check here List of most common surnames in Asia the information is there. It is not deleted at all. Zarzu (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 23:41, 13 May 2010 (UTC).

Unconstructive???
The post you added to my talk page described my revision as unconstructive. I was not trying to be unconstructive, i was simply trying to clear up the ambiguity in that sentence - many people do not know that ***.*.***.** means an IP #; also I posted that it could be a name as well and not only an IP #. How is this unconstructive?

- Hmmmm believe it or not when I went to revert I got shown this was what I was reverting. No idea how that's happened - sorry! I know that Huggle has been having technical glitches recently, it's been crashing very often on me so maybe that's something to do with it? Hello. Perhaps I added it hastily without discussion. I know she has only referenced it once onscreen after the kiss, but as per interview] with Bower last year, she said there was no point exploring her bisexuality, because they couldn't do it any justice in their timeslot. She's been listed over in the LGBT in fiction list on WP for some time too without it being contested, I kind of thought someone just forgot to add the category.RAIN the ONE (Talk) 00:15, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

- Do you know all the sockpuppets? That page isn't on my watchlist, but I wouldn't have known anyway. Plus they self-reverted. AnemoneProjectors 22:46, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
- I don't know all the sockpuppets no but I know the usual faces like Trueman31, Ln of x etc. Apparently this IP was blocked as a sock of Jake Duncan? It's a new one on me but from what I can see he targetted a few EastEnders pages, Johnny Allen's page was also targetted. I saw the same IP edit Nigel Harman the other day to say that he'd died in Glasgow but because the person self-reverted I didn't take it any further --5 albert square (talk) 22:50, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
- Oh he's the guy who made up the Willoughby Crescent hoax. I did come across some of his edits recently. AnemoneProjectors 23:12, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah I was going to say looking at the sock puppeteers edits you had messaged him. From memory I think he targetted John Partridge, Christian Clarke, EastEnders, Johnny Allen and Nigel Harman. Probably more EastEnders pages but those are the ones I can think of offhand. Meh, vandals! --5 albert square (talk) 23:29, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah I reverted his edits on Johnny Allen. He created an article for Johnny's supposed cellmate who he said "Get Jake" or whatever, which was PRODded but I just speedied it as a hoax cos the character was never named. AnemoneProjectors 23:31, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
- I can never understand pages like that. Granted "Who Shot Phil?" has it's own page but then that storyline did delay the kick off of a football game whilst it was announced it was Lisa so it is worth it's own page. I see someones currently spreading rumours that Sam Callis is to join EastEnders. I wish that were true, as a matter of fact I wouldn't actually mind it if the entire cast of The Bill jumped ship over to EastEnders once filmings finished on The Bill. It would be company for Scott! --5 albert square (talk) 23:39, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
- That's not allowed. EastEnders actors go to The Bill, not the other way around. But where are they gonna go now? I seem to be the only person asking this question (and I have been since the announcement). P.S. I ran out of biscuits even though I said I wouldn't eat any! Oh and I have no idea what you're going on about with "Who Shot Phil?" ;) AnemoneProjectors 23:52, 18 May 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the note. Yes, the image has been sent to FFD; however, that was done well after my edit. I've again removed it, simply because the tag is for files that are up for some sort of speedy deletion; files at FFD don't generally have the deletable-image-caption. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we must insist that you assume good faith while interacting with other editors, which you did not on User talk:Nyttend. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Please remember to discuss the contributions of the editor and not the person as you did on User talk:Nyttend and http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Ringo_Brown&diff=next&oldid=362932265 Bidgee (talk) 04:18, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry?
- The edit summary I posted stated "reverted good faith edit" before simply stating why I reverted the edit - I've always believed that was what edit summaries were for. The reason I posted on the users talk page was to be polite explain my reasons for the revert. How reverting the edit via the Twinkle good faith method is not assuming good faith I don't know. I'm sorry to have offended you :( --5 albert square (talk) 04:31, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
Hello. It appears that you have been canvassing—leaving messages on others' talk pages to notify them of an ongoing community decision, debate, or vote—in order to influence User_talk:Raintheone. While friendly notices are allowed, they should be limited and nonpartisan in distribution and should reflect a neutral point of view. Please do not post notices which are indiscriminately cross-posted, which espouse a certain point of view or side of a debate, or which are selectively sent only to those who are believed to hold the same opinion as you. Remember to respect Wikipedia's principle of consensus-building by allowing decisions to reflect the prevailing opinion among the community at large. Bidgee (talk) 04:31, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
- Again sorry?!
- I left the message "Hi
- This is to let you know that the image for Ringo Brown has been nominated for deletion. I came across it quite accidentally, you can find details of the nomination here. Please feel free to add any comments :)"
- I was simply letting them know that the image is up for deletion - whether or not they vote to keep it is up to them. I'm actually incredibly offended at the messages you've left on my talk page, am feeling very bitten by them --5 albert square (talk) 04:36, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
- I respectfully disagree with Bidgee's opinion. In general, it's quite appropriate to notify a small number of individuals; there's nothing wrong with talking with just a couple of others as you've done, especially since you didn't say anything like "vote keep!". - Ah ok, I would suggest then that you put that in the edit summary when you're setting up the redirect. I simply saw that you were blanking the page without giving a reason? --5 albert square (talk) 02:00, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
Sockpuppet?
My gut instinct is telling me that User:Chryed is User:The Twelfth Doctor aka User:The Queen Victoria aka User:Archie Mitchell evading his block, but I don't have a lot of evidence other than the EastEnders username. I saw you were involved with an SPI for the user and wondered what you thought. AnemoneProjectors 21:01, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
- Hmmmm I'm really not sure. My gut instinct is saying the same but I don't think there is enough evidence to say for sure that they are. If they are this time they seem to be editing nicer than what they were before! I'll have a deeper look into some more of their edits --5 albert square (talk) 21:32, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
- I went quite deep to find something but they're staying away from similar things, probably cleverly trying not to get caught. I don't suppose we can do an SPI on gut instinct with no real evidence, can we? AnemoneProjectors 21:41, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
- I don't think we can, it would probably be seen as assuming bad faith. I've left a message on User:J.delanoy's talk page as I remember that he was one of the checkusers involved in my SPI, asking for his opinion on things --5 albert square (talk) 21:57, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
- Cool, thanks. AnemoneProjectors 22:12, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
- I don't know the details of the case, but having had a quick look I don't think it's blatantly the same person and they do seem to be behaving themselves so far. You could take it to SPI, but you'd probably be told that CheckUser is not for fishing. Definitely worth keeping an eye on... HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 22:19, 20 May 2010 (UTC)

IP Vandal
Hello to you, and thank you for dealing with this disruptive edit. Only a few minutes or so before that came in, I had cleared out my watchlist. Surprisingly, I was active at that time checking recent changes as you too had been; somehow I never noticed the edit, nor your revert, nor your warning to the IP!! Incredible how you can spot things in the distance and not realise the matters close to home. Thanks for your help! Keep up your good work. Evlekis (Евлекис) 19:01, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
- You're welcome :) --5 albert square (talk) 19:21, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

I was of two minds of how long to block that fellow for, so if you notice him doing such things again after the block expires, please let me know. (And thanks for the congratulations. If you need anything, my ear is always open.) Bradjamesbrown (talk) 09:14, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, I'm about to add all the pictures he has uploaded without verifying their copyright status to my watchlist just in case he tries to remove their speedy deletion templates again. I've also tried to explain to him why Wikipedia is so strict about copyright, from my understanding it's not just Wikipedia that potentially could land in trouble, it's more the uploader. If I catch him doing that again I'll report it to you :) --5 albert square (talk) 09:24, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
E=mc2
As you did not like my formatting improvement of E=mc2 (calling it a "test" on "my" talk page) on the Nuclear fission page, you can also go ahead and change Einstein's page, that's where I copied it from. (I did not (yet?) create an account because I only do these minor changes) 91.22.55.253 (talk) 03:40, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
- (different IP, same person) In the meantime, I've been told on "my" talk page that the revert was done by you due to the use of a semi-automatic tool (and reverted again by a kind user; I did not revert it by myself because I did not want to start an edit war over this ;-)). May I kindly propose that in future, you at least superficially try to check the modifications and/or write more specific comments on the talk page when you let the tool revert something? To me, telling me (probably an automated comment) that "my test" was reverted and that I should use the sandbox and read the editing help sounded very condescending. I still don't know what the tool "thinks" was wrong (maybe the use of HTML tags, but this help says "many HTML tags can be used"). Treating inexperienced users like this can cause frustration... 91.22.27.193 (talk) 21:38, 24 May 2010 (UTC)

Hey. You might have noticed that I've been working on the article lately, adding info, correcting and fixing refs, etc. I got a little worried about the article when I noticed that EastEnders had been delisted as a GA. I don't want the same thing happening to Neighbours! Myself and Rain have also been working on several of the character articles too, we've been adding info, reception details and images. If there's a particular article you were planning on/want to work on, please let us know and we'll leave it you. Oh, I was just wondering what you thought about changing Bridget Napier's article back to Bridget Parker? I've left a comment on the talk page, if you want to reply there. - JuneGloom07 Talk? 22:41, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Paranoid user vandalizing entry
User Andyjsmith has been vandalizing Spaceduck all day, I noticed it this morning. He feels the article is a hoax even though links check out. He wantonly antagonizes anyone who disagrees. I'd appreciate if you'd stop him. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikisicky (talk • contribs) 22:42, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
- No, I don't think he's been vandalising .................................................
- To be honest, to me the article is coming across as a hoax. That is why I've been re-inserting it's speedy deletion template all night. Anyway the article is now up for deletion. --5 albert square (talk) 22:54, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
- I've been watching the article since it first appeared because I've heard of Spaceduck and thought Andyjsmiths accusations and hounding were inappropriate. Have you gone to youtube or itunes? Regardless of poorly the written article, Spaceduck is a notable artist. Please don't encourage Andyjsmith Wikisicky (talk) 23:15, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
- Nope as I'm not at my usual pc for some time and this one doesn't have i-tunes that I can see and also seems to hate Youtube videos! I will also say that I did not see that Andyjsmiths edits were "hounding" and "inappropriate". All he has done is add a speedy deletion template to an article that he thinks qualifies for it which he is entitled to do. When the template was removed he re-instated it which again he is entitled to do. I wouldn't say that is "hounding" and "inappropriate". In any case the article is up for deletion, please discuss any issues you have with it's deletion on it's nomination page, thanks --5 albert square (talk) 23:32, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
- Hi Albert, apparently you missed the first round when the article was introduced. Andyjsmith immediately yelled 'hoax' and ignored the author's suggestion to check the links (which you really should've checked before supporting him). I checked youtube and found it valid, so I reverted his 'hoax' tag. As I said, "noteworthy" is debatable, but Andyjsmith's cries of "hoax" are quite annoying. As a side note, I don't think it was fair of you to immediately support him even though you admit you never checked youtube and itunes to verify the existence of the artist Wikisicky (talk) 00:03, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
- I did view the Youtube video. I saw it as some spoof, it certainly wasn't a band playing music. I also checked the BBC one and there was no mention of any group called Spaceduck. As for itunes, I currently don't have access to it but I did Google spaceduck and I can't find anything to suggest that it's notable enough for Wikipedia.
- Secondly I should point out that you can't remove speedy deletion templates from any article because you're not a sysop. Hence any time you do this, your edits will be reverted and you will get warned, possibly blocked if it carries on. Only sysops can ever remove speedy deletion templates. Take care --5 albert square (talk) 21:54, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
- "Only sysops can ever remove speedy deletion templates" is mistaken. Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion says "The creator of a page may not remove a Speedy Delete tag from it. Only an editor who is not the creator of a page may do so." Nowhere does it mention any other restriction on who can do it. The same applies to the notices which are displayed by the templates on pages they are posted on. If, for example, you post a {{db-vandalism}} to a page then it will display a notice saying, amongst other things, "If this page does not meet the criteria for speedy deletion, or you intend to fix it, please remove this notice, but do not remove this notice from pages that you have created yourself." That is unambiguous: anyone except the creator of the page is invited to remove it. JamesBWatson (talk) 08:13, 27 May 2010 (UTC)

He/she is messing up some pages that I follow with false info too. What do you do about someone like this? Bollyjeff (talk) 01:44, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
- Hi, welcome to Wikipedia :)
- You warn them, you can find warning templates at WP:VANDALISM. I think that they're using the account for spam/advertising purposes only so I've given them a final warning. Any more edits and WP:AIV will be made aware. Any questions please don't hesitate to ask me --5 albert square (talk) 21:56, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
- Do you know why Wikipedia doesn't require people to have an account and talk page before doing edits? Some of these folks do not have one, so there is no way to warn them. Bollyjeff (talk) 02:03, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
- Only just noticed this :)
- People don't have to have an account to edit Wikipedia because Wikipedia believes that the encyclopedia should be available to everyone to edit. Sometimes you'll find that it is a registered editor making an edit but because they're only going to be on for a few minutes they generally don't bother signing in and they just edit under the IP. I know I'm guilty of that sometimes!
- Anyway, if an IP doesn't have a talk page then the work talk should appear in red, just like in this example. In that case just click on the red link, leave your message (preferably with an edit summary), click to save your message. The IP will now be aware that they have a message and the talk link will no longer show in red. I hope this explains things :) --5 albert square (talk) 22:32, 27 May 2010 (UTC)

I also pointed out that the BBC are definitely a legal website and I can't find anything to state that the torrents one isn't genuine either! --5 albert square (talk) 22:35, 27 May 2010 (UTC)

...4chan? Quite possibly - it sounds like the kind of thing that would keep them amused for a few hours on a weekend. I didn't bother looking too deeply at the IP edits - I started with "the latest" revision (a revert by you), by the time it had loaded there was already a "next revision"... followed by another, and another... I clicked through a few and gave up. Hopefully protection will come ASAP! TFOWRpropaganda 15:20, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

- Well some of them, yes. Why? --5 albert square (talk) 16:54, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
- Why that house in particular? If I was going to be an address in Walford I'd be 89b George Street! AnemoneProjectors 18:21, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
- Ha, it's my username on the EastEnders forums I'm a member of so I just stuck with it when I joined Wikipedia :). I think I chose it about 6 or 7 years ago when I joined Walford Web then known as Talk Walford and I chose it because EE is set in Albert Square and my lucky number seems to be 5 so 5 albert square. Been mainly lucky with the residents, the only one I really haven't liked is Ruby Allen and that I think was more down to the actress than the character - not a Louisa Lytton fan! Why 89b George Street? --5 albert square (talk) 20:48, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
- I wouldn't say 5 Albert Square has been very lucky since Max got in huge debt and lost his wife! 89b George Street because it's the setting for E20! And I love the yellow front door. Even in tonight's episode I knew Peggy was dropped off outside 89 George Street because of the yellow door! AnemoneProjectors 23:37, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
- Oh that's true, plus Phil Mitchell also got shot on the doorstep! --5 albert square (talk) 23:34, 1 June 2010 (UTC)
- Oh you mean 5 Albert Square, not 89 George Street!! Just spend ages trying to work that out and tell you he was shot on Albert Square! lol AnemoneProjectors 23:51, 1 June 2010 (UTC)

Good evening :)
How are you? Seems ages since we caught up properly (besides my talk page stalking!). I just got attacked by a band of socks. That was interesting! HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 23:58, 1 June 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, I noticed that cos your page popped up on Huggle! I was about to revert but someone beat me to it each time. I hate sockpuppets, I remember once my talk page getting attacked by meatpuppets, I hadn't even heard of the word until I went to ask for protection of my talk page at WP:RFPP! All because I reverted some vandalism that they inserted on a page!
- How are you anyway? I'm not usually up this late anymore, just not tired tonight! --5 albert square (talk) 00:06, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
- Nutters! I think it's because I used revdel on a few edit summaries by page-move vandals yesterday which, obviously, is abusive censorship by the nasty administrator! I protected my talk page for a few days so hopefully they'll get bored (or, more likely, find someone else to harass :( ). I'm not too bad other than that. What've you been up to apart from the vandal whacking? HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 00:17, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

- Hi, I don't think there's anywhere you can find a list of all pages protected. I wouldn't imagine that there would be because there are so many requests for protection and unprotection each day it would be virtually impossible to keep it up-to-date. You would need to go to each individual article, if it is protected there will be a lock symbol at the top right hand corner of the article. - Hmmm, thought you were. When your RfA?----moreno oso (talk) 23:18, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
- No, I think I may be administrator on Wikimedia but it's only for testing purposes. No Rfa planned at the moment :) --5 albert square (talk) 23:21, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for your intervention. I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one with it on 'watch list'. RashersTierney (talk) 04:24, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

You are now a Reviewer
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Matthewedwards : Chat 20:42, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks! --5 albert square (talk) 21:08, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
Neighbours
I saw on your userpage that you review Neighbours for perfectblend.net. I thought I'd read on that site that it was closing down in March, or rather that it would not be updated any more. Is that still the case? It appears to still be active. Best, Matthewedwards : Chat 20:44, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- Hi, I think it's still updated to a degree but nowhere near as much as it was. I mean if you look at the news section it's not been updated since Neighbours turned the big 2-5 so unless the soap has stood stock still since then I'm sure something newsworthy has happened! Also if you look at the episodes section nothing appears to have been uploaded since December 2009. The message boards are still on the go, I don't think it was ever Steve's intentions to let them go :) --5 albert square (talk) 21:07, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- The spoilers and the arrivals and departures sections are still being updated too. :) - JuneGloom07 Talk? 21:13, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- OK, thanks. I don't use the messageboards; do you have to register? I'm a bit hesitant to bother. I've been watching Neighbours since it was on BBC1 at 10am back in the 80s. I'm in my 30s now, and I can only imagine the average age of everyone in there. Around the same as the backtothebay.net forums, probably! You should try getting Steve (he runs the site, I guess?) to release all text to a CC-BY-SA 3.0 license so you can use it on Neighbours articles here! :) Matthewedwards : Chat 21:16, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- You do have to register, but there are a few people around to talk to and you get to hear the latest news first. I'm pretty sure that it would still be considered a fansite even if the license was changed. It has been referenced in some media, like Digital Spy, Lowculture and the Daily Mail, but I don't think that'll be enough to consider it to be a reliable source (I should check with the RS noticeboard really). The interviews and the arrivals and departures news are probably the only things we can use (and do, shh!). I've been watching Neighbours since I could and I have most of the books that they've released over the years. I'm a little obsessed, lol. Hi, btw. :) Sorry 5, I saw the word Neighbours and had to join in. - JuneGloom07 Talk? 21:28, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- Hey yeah you have to register to view the messageboards. As for it being a reliable source, I'm sure I asked about the site when Neighbours was up for GA and it seemed to get accepted, I think because I mentioned that the owner (yes that's Steve!) said that he was going to keep the site online for reference only. So I'm imagining it will still be ok to use now :). Hi June! I thought you'd join in! By the way June, I know that ClueBot is supposed to be archiving some of the current Neighbours talk pages, he will do it but he's had some issues with the datacentre recently and has had to take time out to "cool down or it will get very hot in here" (his words on his talk page) lol. Oddly enough he broke just as he was about to work on Ben Fitzgerald's page! --5 albert square (talk) 21:36, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- Well, I didn't mean change the license of the text to make it a RS. I meant so that the text there can be copy/pasted and used here on WP's pages directly. I've seen a couple of pages that were copyvios of perfectblend.net. I would think that Digital Spy using it as a source would make it okay, and all the interviews they conduct are okay on a primary source basis. I don't think that the Daily Mail is a RS here, so it doesn't matter what they do for their sources! lol
- I don't have any books, but when I lived in the UK I had the Defining Moments DVD. I keep looking online to download it, and Iconic Moments, but I can't find it on Usenet or any torrents. :( Anyway, I'm leaving for the day. Bye! Matthewedwards : Chat 21:44, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- Bye! --5 albert square (talk) 21:55, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- I think copying and pasting the storylines from PB would be kind of a lazy way to edit, besides some of the character articles would be so long (Paul Robinson springs to mind). Oh 5, the 6000th episode airs on 27 August, but for some reason I can't remember where I read that! I also have a new guest character to add to the cast list when there's a ref and not just info from a forum. He's a detective who will be investigating the demise of a long-running character (I'm so worried about who that is going to be!). I hope ClueBot is up and running soon. - JuneGloom07 Talk? 22:16, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- Ha I just changed the transmission date in the Neighbours article! For some reason when I originally put the date in I assumed the sources were talking about Australias air date but they aren't. I dunno if it'll get a mention, but I might nominate it for the On This Day section on that date. Worst they can do is say no --5 albert square (talk) 22:20, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- It's gotta be Steph. She's just announced that she's leaving in September :( Matthewedwards : Chat 19:40, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- I hope not! --5 albert square (talk) 19:45, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- Well look at this mothers' meeting! ;) You disappoint me, Matthew, I'm busy doling out reviewer rights and you;re here having a chat about the soaps! ;) HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 19:46, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- It's not Steph who dies. She leaves at the end of the year and Susan Bower said that the door would be open for a return. The death happens around or during the 6000th episode on 27 August. - JuneGloom07 Talk? 19:57, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- Any ideas who it is then? Hopefully not one of the Kennedys or Toadie, but that only leaves Lou. I suppose since he's hardly there any more, it might be him. Matthewedwards : Chat 20:02, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- Let me know who needs it, I'll be happy to help grant. Matthewedwards : Chat 20:02, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

(undent)I just had a horrible thought - Paul. He's longstanding given that he was in the first episode. I really, really hope it's not him --5 albert square (talk) 20:09, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- Surely not Paul?! That would be awful for the show. Apparently the event isn't going to be so much about the victim, but who the perpetrator is. The list of suspects is long and many people have motives. - JuneGloom07 Talk? 20:48, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- I can only think of Paul, Lou, Lyn, Steph, the Kennedys, Toadie. I don't want any of them to go! --5 albert square (talk) 21:05, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- I don't want any of them to go either! Some people are thinking that it could be Rosemary who goes, I hope not! Oh, you have to see this video, it's about the two girls who play India. I don't normally like children, but these two are cute. I might use the video to add a little info to India's section on the 2009 cast list. - JuneGloom07 Talk? 23:14, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
- That's a good video. As for it being Rosemary that goes, I wouldn't mind if it was her, at least it wouldn't be one of my favourites then! --5 albert square (talk) 02:31, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
- Noo! It can't be Rosemary! I've just finished working on Susan Kennedy's article and I've nominated her for GA. Not sure if she's going to make it though, the lack of casting info might be a problem. I searched everywhere, but couldn't find anything to say how Jackie Woodburne got the part. I was quite lucky in finding some info for Karl's article though. - JuneGloom07 Talk? 22:37, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah I can't find anything on that either, maybe she was just told by her agent that the part had come up and went to audition for it? I did google it but found nothing. I did though find something for Alex Walkinshaw's article, very bizzare as I wasn't even looking for him! --5 albert square (talk) 23:04, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
