Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from one page into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to make a note in an edit summary at the source page as well. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 09:03, 13 April 2012 (UTC)

I have sorted out the talk page. For reference, another time please don't move a page by copying and pasting, because that loses the contribution history. If you can't move the page with the "move" tab because there is something already at the target page, an admin will have to do it: you can request it by putting {{db-move}} on the target page to ask for it to be deleted. Notice that if what is at the target page is a redirect, you need to put the db-move above the redirect, or it won't show. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 09:43, 5 October 2012 (UTC)

Thanks John, I had thought a cut and paste would have not have that history problem, and didn't want to bother an admin since both pages were relating to the same article. Will note this for any future movies.--PremKudvaTalk 09:50, 5 October 2012 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:JonStock2008.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:JonStock2008.JPG. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Bkell (talk) 02:51, 22 October 2012 (UTC)

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Indian rupee sign. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Elizium23 (talk) 05:59, 27 October 2012 (UTC)

Possibly unfree File:JonStock2008.JPG

[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:JonStock2008.JPG, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 00:06, 7 January 2013 (UTC)

Calling edits vandalism

[edit]

Please do not call good faith edits vandalism, as you did in this and this edit. Per WP:VANDAL, the word vandalism only refers to edits deliberately intended to make Wikipedia worse, like saying "The indian rupee sign looks dumb. Dumb stupid." You are correct that the info does not belong in the article, and I have reverted it's readdition, but it's certainly not vandalism. The person clearly does believe it's important, but we have to show him in our policies why it's not relevant for the article. Calling good faith edits vandalism can actually be considered a personal attack, so please be careful about the use of that word in the future. Qwyrxian (talk) 13:37, 8 March 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Mars Orbiter Mission, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Thrusters (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

An apology

[edit]

Hi Premkudva, it has been a long time. I believe we last bumped into each other in 2009. I was really rude to you and made several nasty comments about you back then. I believe I owe an apology for that. I realise I was a overly arrogant that time. I'm sorry. P.S: Check the talk page of MH370. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 14:17, 17 March 2014 (UTC)
