    High resolution image

    [edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. An image you uploaded, Image:Shahrukhkhan 20041011 time.jpg is tagged as fair use but is too high resolution to qualify; under Wikipedia's fair use policy, only low resolution images are permissible. Please replace the image with a lower resolution equivalent; instructions on doing this are available at {{Fair use reduce}}. Thank you. Chick Bowen 17:00, 18 February 2006 (UTC)

Thanks very much for getting to it so quickly! I've deleted the old versions. Should be fine now. Let me know if you have any questions about images or anything else. Chick Bowen 05:18, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

    Greetings!

    Hi Premnath,

This is, first and foremost, an extremely belated thank you for your compliments about my photo Image:Mangalore fishing.JPG. I am considering nominating it as a featured picture, as it is one of my favourites.

Onto more business matters, I thought you would like to know that I have decided to throw my hat into the ring for RfA. At present I need a few more supporting votes to secure adminship (despite all the opposing votes' reasons being clarified!) but, as the main co-writer for the Mangalore article in its current state, I felt you might be a good potential advocate. Obviously I do not want to unduely trouble you, but I would be most greatful for your support.

On an unrelated matter, do you know when the new runway at Bajpe is acutally going to be opened? I noticed that Airbus A319s are already flying in, but landing on the old runway... and apparently the first international flights will begin in March to Sharjah...

Anyway, thanks again - DJR (Talk) 09:04, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

Ok cool thanks for letting me know. There were rumours that Emirates were going to being services direct from Dubai... which would mean I could get from London to Mangalore via Dubai without having to waste time in Mumbai... Anyway, thanks very much for your support on the RfA, and stay in touch. Cheers mate, DJR (Talk) 11:40, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
Meanwhile I have read recently that Air India will be flying to Dubai from Mangalore. See Air India to fly from Mangalore? and also seeAirbus A-319 Trial Flight Lands at Bajpe. You come to Mangalore often? PremKudva 09:57, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the message - yeah sorry I'm afraid I only really follow up messages on my talk page as I have too many other pages flashing up on my watchlist to keep informed with the rest! Thanks for the links - nice to see that things are actually happening at the airport and not caught up in the bundles of red tape that usually hinder progress! Yeah I come to Mangalore around once every 18 months... the table of "Places I've Been" on my user page shows lots of Indian flags - all of them are Mangalore. Cheers for the update, DJR (Talk) 18:27, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

Hi, I am wishing you a happy Holi, the unique Hindu celebration of color and brotherhood among all members of the humanity. The festival falls on 15th March 2006. I have collected A Gift Pack of Quotations for you contained in the sections Do things Differently & Something More , which are part of the on-going discussion pertaining to my nomination of Idleguy for adminship. You are aware of the tradition that if you throw colored water on flames of burning Holika, you enable a Prahlad to emerge from the flames!!! I again convey Holi greetings to you and your family!!! --Bhadani 16:17, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Usmallya1.gif. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you.

The sourcing site retains all rights. It seems like the {{Fair use in}} tag and a fair use rational on the image description page would be the most useful thing you could do here. Regards, Dethomas 21:39, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
