Reverts Adenovirus infection
[edit]In http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Adenovirus_infection&oldid=347519478 I think you made a mistake in undoing my changes. I removed two instances of vandalism from the page which you subsequently re-inserted.
Sentences like "The doctors are really hot" and "I want to do all the hot doctors" don't belong in an article about Adenovirus infection.
I believe you and one other moderator has made a mistake X2. The articles you claim I edited incorrectly are articles that I din't even remember reading much less editing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.173.192.58 (talk) 04:52, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
- I dont know of it was you personally, but there was this edit to this article that was made from the IP you are Using, and that edit wasn't constructive, thats why it was reverted, and I didnt revert any of your edits, it was User:MBK004 who did the revert, and it wasn't a mistake Done MaenK.A.Talk 14:10, 4 March 2010 (UTC)

Also, with regard to infundibulomatosis, that term seems to be synonymous with the an eruptive form of tumor of the follicular infundibulum, which is also known as a follicular infundibulum tumor. Deleted Article
[edit]madhero88:
Thanks so much for your help earlier. I am having a bit of an issue with another admin who deleted my article because they said it was "advertising". I have found at least two other articles on wikipedia in the same genre (automotive brake service) that would DEFINITELY constitute advertising if my article were the touchstone. They are: "Hunter Engineering" and "Just Brakes".
Please advise on best course of action.
Thanks again
15:41, 24 March 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chad595 (talk • contribs)
- Sorry about that, and please don't take actions against edits or articles as personal attack on you. As you can see both of the articles you mentioned are also tagged for deletion as you can see on Just Brakes, and Hunter Engineering. The criteria used to delete the three article is G3 criteria for speedy deletion. This means that these articles are non-encyclopedic, and cant be kept on Wikipedia because wikipedia is not a place to promote products, and users on Wikipedia should do their best not to add spam to articles or create spam articles. MaenK.A.Talk 17:28, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

- I was not the one who deleted the article, yet I tagged it for deletion, and that was according to CSD A7 criteria, which means that the article didnt meet the wikipedia policy of notability, and can be kept. The article didn't meet the Wikipedia:Notability (web) criteria neither and looked like a promotion about a beta version of a new site, anyways I am sorry that your first article got deleted and please don't take that as a personal attack, it is against Wikipedia's policy to have such an article Done MaenK.A.Talk 14:29, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
Regarding Category skin lesions
[edit]That category looks a little disorganized. Speedy deletion contested: DYEH 729 kHz
[edit]Hello Madhero88. I am just letting you know that I contested the speedy deletion of DYEH 729 kHz, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Licensed radio stations are usually notable. Thank you. Eastmain (talk • contribs) 19:47, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
Re: General Questions
[edit]Re your message: About the radio station, general practice does seem to be that licensed radio stations are notable. The article got redirected to an existing article. As for the Japanese football players, I think they all meet the criteria per WP:ATHLETE by playing in a professional league. As for the Get thin article, yes, PRODing the article was the correct tag to apply. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 19:10, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

Urethra Gauge
[edit]The Urethra Gauge is a medical invention used by nurses. The center for Disease Control (CDC) and National Institute of Health (NIH) Set Nation-wide goals in a publication called, "Healthy People 2010" a major goal of the publication was to significantly reduce Healthcare Acquired Infections the overwhelming majority of these infections 40% come from catheter associated urinary tract infections.
The Urethra Gauge is a measurement device that is inserted into the distal most end of the urethra, the cylindrical measurement device advances until a point of resistance. At the point of resistance where the urethra gauge is co-extensive with the urethra is the urethral circumference and thus the appropriate size indwelling urinary catheter/"foley catheter" to place for that individual at that given time. By using the urethra gauge prior to insertion of indwelling urinary catheter, a catheter associated urinary tract infection can be avoided from inserting a catheter that is too small for the patient. Also urethral trauma can be avoided by placing a catheter that is more appropriatly sized avoiding a potential complication known as a urethral stricture "scarring of the urethra". —Preceding unsigned comment added by Daniel David Ryan (talk • contribs) 01:29, 30 March 2010 (UTC)

Warning to Alain 971
[edit]You seem to have erred when you warned Alain971 not to remove an Articles for deletion notice from the page Communicating Across Cultures. Alain971 removed a dated {{prod}} template, not an AfD template. It is appropriate for any user who objects to deletion to remove a prod template. I have removed the prod template again on Alain971's behalf.
On the other hand, the article, Communicating Across Cultures, appears to be a how-to guide rather than an encyclopedia entry. As you suggested in your prod, this is not appropriate for Wikipedia, per the guideline Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not.
I have therefore nominated the article at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Communicating Across Cultures. You are invited to add your voice to the discussion there. Together, we will attempt to reach consensus before deciding what to do with the article. Cnilep (talk) 21:13, 1 April 2010 (UTC)

[edit]I edited the dermnet page on the commons, and have kept it as simple as possible. I have also added a link to that page on the dermatology task force page. However, here are some things perhaps you could follow-up on:
- (1) E-mail Dr. Habif with the link to the new commons project page. Perhaps ask him if we can have access to high resolution images as well? Done
- (2) Find someone to look at our template and project page to make sure everything looks good
- (3) Get some editors who are good with bots to start transferring things over
- (4) Perhaps you could get the same process going for that other online dermatology journal and wherever else you are getting these great images?
Thanks again for all your help! ---kilbad (talk) 20:31, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

I hope you don't mind. --Kumioko (talk) 14:18, 12 April 2010 (UTC)

- Thanks, Ok I knew the time would come that I had a question. Do you know of a way to allow a multiple prompt box. The reason I ask is because I would like to give a couple of prompts to incorporate info into the article. So for example if I have 5 prompts the article would have a name, the bith date, the death date, the birth location and the death location. These are just examples but I am not sure if its even possible in the software. --Kumioko (talk) 17:23, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
- Well, basically I want to make an input box that has multiple boxes. So rather than creating a bare article it will have some data elements filled out in advance and populated when the article is created, like using a form in HTML if you are familiar with that. I found in the metawiki site where there used to be a bug that didn't allow the use of multiple boxes but that seems to have been fixed in Dec 09. It appears that if you use template:inputbox it will allow this type of thing but I haven't figured out the mechanics of how that template works yet. Essentially I would like to create an input form that allows enough data to be input into boxes that the article basically builds itself (at least a basic one with infobox, some basic body, persondata and a couple of basic categories.) I think if I have a form with ten or 12 questions on it then it will be much easier for novice editors to create pages. I hope this makes sense but please let me know if you need anything else.--Kumioko (talk) 19:22, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry but it seems that the original HTML code doesn't allow the use of multiple input-boxes, we might request this from the HTML code creator, User:Eloquence, if you do please let me know MaenK.A.Talk 16:09, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
Thats too bad but thanks. I added a comment to that users talk page so you may also want to add your comments as well so they get the best explanation possible. Also, someone pointed me to this Article Wizard and I thought I would show it to you in case you hadn't seen it. I am going to "borrow" some of the form and phrase of this for mine. --Kumioko (talk) 18:33, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
- That is great, I ll be watching the page. The Idea of article wizard is great but wont help you creating multiple inputs to the same page, right?? MaenK.A.Talk 16:41, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
- No your right but its a step in the right direction. After speaking with one of the creators of the Wizard yesterday (you should be able ot see the conversation on the talk page) the user can be directed to an article "skeleton" or the creators that we have made based on what they input. Then once the funcionality is developed for multiple input boxes (which I assume will happen eventually) we cna implement that. --Kumioko (talk) 16:50, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

Referencs
[edit]Hello Madhero88, I have a question regarding references. As I am adding citations, they are showing up as duplicates in the reference list if I cite a reference more than once (see Compliance (medicine)). I didn't find anything in the Wiki style guide on this. Is there bot that will fix this? Is there a way I can cite references already in the references list rather than adding the whole thing with the ref tags? Thanks! BSW-RMH (talk) 23:01, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

Guinness Ghana
[edit]Hey MadHero
In the above article, both Guinness and Malta Guinness should be capitalized and should contain 2 S's.
While I have you, I am attempting to assemble a collection of malt beverage cans from around the world. If you would like to help, I would be most pleased if you could send me a few cans from Jordan. A few familiar brands may be Petra, Lana, Ferida Silver Label, Ferida Red Label, and Ferida Black Label. (if you find yourself in Syria at any point, I also need Barada from there). Ideally the cans should be opened from the bottom using a punch type opener, drained, rinsed and allowed to dry completely. They should be packed inside a sturdy with plenty of soft packing and sent to:

Drop Shipping
[edit]Why are you reverting the reference in Drop Shipping [8] back to the VANDALISM site? That site is not what is referenced in the submission but was changed by a spammer. It is the site www.dropshippingsucks.com that talks about drop shipping and market value destruction where the reference comes from.
"Reason #2 = Market Value Destruction (MVD)
Market value determines the price at which you can successfully sell a product. Market value is not a constant; it is an ever changing variable which can be influenced by supply-and-demand, competition, technology costs, and other factors. The market value of a product is almost always changing. For a simple example of this, look at the DVD player....."
The only change was to some site completely unrelated so it should be reverted back to the original reference.

Kate Bush: Aerial and Beyond, Sexual Healing citation
[edit]Hi. Thank you for acknowleding my appearance on Wiki. That was very thoughtful of you (I just came back here and saw it in my inbox). I have a question/problem. Someone keeps insisting I make a citation for the assertion that this "Aerial"-related single exists, but I can't figure out why, as it's not an opinion or quote that needs to be backed up by a reference to an article or something. I don't see anyone requiring a citation regarding the names of songs on an album, for example. If this single needs to be "verified" can you help me do it, using this link? I can't figure out how to do is myself, for some reason, but again, I don't really get why it's even necessary. Here is a link to Amazon.com which shows that the b-side of King of the Mountain is Stevie Wonder's Sexual Healing:
http://www.amazon.com/King-Mountain-Kate-Bush/dp/B000BCHJ1A
I own a copy, which was my original "source." I also found this: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Sexual_Healing Is this a common requirement, or is someone being overly critical? I thank you in advance for helping me out.

Stick with what i provided
[edit]I edited the Staten Island Yankees page to issue out the facts! I have pictures and attendance records of what this so-called viable minor league team has provided. The General Manager of the club has continually lied about the attendance figures and it is my duty to lay out "THE TRUTH". The truth is, a playoff team should never have a paid playoff attendance of 819,771, & 713 and I have the boxscores to prove it! You go to Yankees-Renegades game and it looks like there are 2,500 people there. Yet the GM claims it's 7,171 paid attendance. My information is not defamatory in the least and if the person who continually edits my page continues to do so, not only will post actual attendance figures for him to view, but I will post pics as further proof to my point! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.197.89.2 (talk) 16:43, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
You are now a Reviewer
[edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 03:14, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

Smallville Season 10
[edit]I was the one who edited it to several episodes as the source you have listed is wrong. Every other source (such as http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2010/05/19/allison-mack-smallville/ where it was officially announced in the first place) has said that AM will be appearing in several episodes, not giving an actual number. Also when one of the writers was asked on Twitter what Allison's episode count was, he said he didn't know. How could he not know if it was supposedly said? Also, the writers have said on Twitter that Absolute Justice was two episodes and that episode 4 of Season 10 is considered as the 200th episode, making Lazarus episode 197. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.11.177.12 (talk) 20:01, 5 July 2010 (UTC)

List of Rules of Engagement episodes: Season 5 table problems
[edit]Hello Madhero88.
I'm writing up this post in response to my attempts to update the list of new episodes for Rules of Engagement, which has been neglected for awhile. I admit to, by your definition, vandalizing it, BUT know that my source is pretty reliable (thefutoncritic.com, which posts updated press listings on new episodes, if not, let me know your source and I'll get the info for you) and I'm still learning the ropes of editing on Wikipedia. I'd really appreciate it if you have a second to help me correct the table on the article listed above and allow me to help keep it up to date. If you'd like me to run the updates by you, I don't have a problem with doing so. Thanks for your time, and I hope we can work together to improve the article.

Adopt-a-user reminder
[edit]Hello, I have completed a general cleanup of the adopter information page for the adopt-a-user project, located here. During my cleanup, I have removed several inactive and retired users. In order to provide interested adoptees with an easy location to find adopters, it is essential that the page be up-to-date with the latest information possible. Thus:
- If you are no longer interested in being an adopter, please remove yourself from the list.
- If you are still interested, please check the list to see if any information needs to be updated or added - especially your availability. Thank you.
- You are receiving this message because you are listed as an adopter here.

An update from adopt a user
[edit]Hi there Madhero88! You may be wondering, what have I done to sound the alarm this time? Nothing. I'm messaging you in regards to the adopt-a-user program, which currently has a backlog of users wishing to be adopted. This doesn't make much sense, as we have a considerable list of users offer adoption, so there shouldn't be any backlog. I've begun to eliminate this backlog myself through a matching program, but I need your help to make it work. Of course, adoptees and adopters don't have to go through there, but I believe it helps eliminate the backlog because someone is actively matching pairs.
On the list of adopters, I have modified the middle column to say "Interests." It's easier working with other users that have similar interests, so if it's not too much to ask, could you add your interests in the middle column? For example, if I was interested in hurricanes, computers, business, and ... reptiles? I would place those in the middle column. Counter-vandalism and the like can also be included (maintenance should be used as the general term). The more interests, the better, since adoptees can learn more about you and choose the one they feel most comfortable working with. The information about when you're most active and other stuff can go into the "Notes" section to the right.
Finally, I've gone around and asked adoptees (and will in the future) to fill in a short survey so adopters can take the initiative and contact users they feel comfortable working with. We all know that most adoptees just place the adopt me template on their user page and leave it - so it's up to us to approach them and offer adoption. So, please take a look at the survey, adopt those that fit your interests, and maybe watchlist it so you can see the interests of adoptees and adopt one that fits your interests in the future.
Once again, thank you for participating in the adopt-a-user program! If you wish to respond to this post, please message me on my talk page.

Hello!
My name is Pierre Demaere. I have been trying in the last 3 days to clarify a post written by me on Eezee Inglish in http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/English_language_spelling_reform.
I am very confused as to why my little bio was not accepted like all the others! And, yes, I did read all the guidelines pertaining to posts and such. Furthermore, the little introduction pertaining to Eezee Inglish has been deleted along with others. What is going on? I can assure you that I am familiar enough with this topic to say that the article is now missing some important pieces.
I am a teacher with a degree in linguistics and 25 years of experience in teaching languages. I would think that I should be allowed to contribute to this article by showcasing the system that I have invented and I would like to support the post with information on my background and credentials like others did. While I am not Noam Chomsky, I am not nobody! I have degrees and experience for heaven's sake. I do not have a doctorate degree, but some of the people mentioned don't either (if there are still there, that is). A doctorate degree does not make you any smarter than anyone by the way. It is true that someone would likely be more informed on the subject, but it does not guarantee that they are well informed on the subject at hand. Furthermore, a lot of people do not have the time or the money to undertake such degrees. I am not sure who exactly censures these articles, but do they have a degree in linguistics on the subject that is being written on? Maybe they have a vested interest or a bias on the topic. I would like some explanation as to the credentials of the person who censures these articles. Also, I think it is really unreasonable that someone can just like that, without warning, remove some piece of work that someone wrote. It takes a long time to write a piece sometimes as it takes getting used to the formatting rules. You would think that some warning should be given before the piece is being removed so that the person can maybe copy of the work that is contentious. I would appreciate a full explanation.
So, here is the little bio.
Pierre Demaere was born in Belgium, but moved to Western Canada when he was fifteen. He is fluent in English and French. He has been a teacher for ELL and FSL students for 25 years. He has a BA with a double major in linguistics and French literature, a professional teaching certificate, and a post graduate diploma in the use of computers in education from Simon Fraser University (SFU) and the University of Victoria (UVic), Canada.
This was rejected too.
What seems to be the matter?
Thank you for looking into the matter.
