A tag has been placed on Infolona requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. MaenK.A.Talk 13:11, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I was not the one who deleted the article, yet I tagged it for deletion, and that was according to CSD A7 criteria, which means that the article didnt meet the wikipedia policy of notability, and can be kept. The article didn't meet the Wikipedia:Notability (web) criteria neither and looked like a promotion about a beta version of a new site, anyways I am sorry that your first article got deleted and please don't take that as a personal attack, it is against Wikipedia's policy to have such an article MaenK.A.Talk 14:30, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion

[edit]

As explained above, articles on businesses, people and websites must meet some basic guidelines for inclusion - otherwise they are subject to speedy deletion. They must credibly assert that they are notable and appropriate for inclusion in an encyclopedia. See WP:CORP for the notability guidelines. In general, all subjects must meet notability standards, as evidenced by verifiable, non-trivial coverage in multiple media outlets of more than purely local standing. Additionally, you appear to have a conflict of interest; editors are strongly discouraged from writing about themselves, their business, or their family's business, as they will not be able to write with sufficient objectivity for an encyclopedic article. Acroterion (talk) 14:14, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've placed the deleted content in User:Tanmayajain/sandbox for you to edit. Please review WP:CORP for notability, as well as WP:WEB and WP:COI, which will explain different issues of notability and conflict of interest. Acroterion (talk) 16:47, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 16:30, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi I have put the article you wrote at User:Tanmayajain/Infolona. As it stand there is no claim of importance yet. But you are welcome to keep improving User:Tanmayajain/Infolona. Don't move it back to Infolona until you get a second opinion as to whether it is ready for article space though. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 06:11, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to introduce inappropriate pages to Wikipedia, such as Infolona, you will be blocked from editing. If you need guidance on how to create appropriate pages, try using the Article Wizard.--Morenooso (talk) 06:17, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You could ask some of those people who have posted notices on your talk page for a second opinion, because otherwise they will request that the p[age get deleted again. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 07:18, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
At the moment it is still not ready yet. You need to find independent references about the topic. This shows that other people have written about the topic Infolona. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 07:20, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Infolona requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Tanmaya Jain 13:57, 27 March 2010 (UTC)

Multiple IPs appear to be trying to create an illusion of support, and are removing speedy deletion tags from the article. This is unacceptable. I will not speedy-delete the article myself, even though, as it lacks any indication of independent sourcing or notability in major press, it is speedy-deletable, but the recruitment of other illusory editors must stop. Acroterion (talk) 13:59, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Infolona, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Infolona. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
