Cluebot III and spam blacklist

Would you happen to know, is this normal? Seems that CBIII should probably be exempted from tripping this. Home Lander (talk) 15:15, 2 January 2019 (UTC)

@Home Lander: Happens all the time; some of the bots get super aggressive with it and will flood the log. I'll usually ask the bot owner to make a test for the condition, or I'll simply neuter the link (strip the "http" part) and let it archive normally if it's just a few links. Thanks for your help on the car finance page!

Sorry about adding a link - I'm new to editing Wikipedia pages, and I appreciate your help. Is there a way for any of the changes I made to appear, without that link? I don't want to have to re-edit the whole page (which definitely could use the clean up).

Best, Sonia SSteinway4 (talk) 03:02, 3 January 2019 (UTC)

@SSteinway4: Agreed that the page definitively needs attention. Just use reliable sources to support your material, preferably those that are not self-published or that you have a conflict of interest with. Kuru (talk) 03:51, 3 January 2019 (UTC)
Just wanted to follow up, Kuru. I added back one citation because it's the only source for the markup amount. Thanks again for your help! SSteinway4 (talk) 15:02, 3 January 2019 (UTC)
Then the material should be removed. Kuru (talk) 15:42, 3 January 2019 (UTC)

Hi Kuru

Dear Kuru, I read your message, I am not experienced wiki user, perhaps for this I am doing mistakes, sorry for that. Please, just you wrote: "You have recently used citations which copied, or mirrored, material from Wikipedia". Believe me, I don't know how to fix this. If you want to help me I will appreciate it. Which ones links are infringing the policy of Wikipedia?

thank you All the best — Preceding unsigned comment added by Delmi (talkcontribs) 22:31, 5 February 2019 (UTC)

Please explain circulars better

You recently deleted the addition of synthwave record labels that I added to the synthwave page. Why? I had multiple sources. I am new, so I'm likely missing something, but should a link to the label never be used a a source Even when you have 2 or 3 more sources? How is it ok to add an artist but not the labels that produce their music? Very confused. Thanks. Halfire101 (talk) 15:02, 10 February 2019 (UTC)

@Halfire101: In my edit here, I removed a link to a known mirror of Wikipedia. Specifically, it is a simple copy of the article at Telefuture Records and clearly indicates that "Content from Wikipedia" at the bottom of the page. We cannot source ourselves, hence the note to WP:CIRCULAR. Kuru (talk) 15:18, 10 February 2019 (UTC)
I thought I had just used a reference to a current page that i found when adding info. Did i use it as a citation? Even if that is the case? Why would you then delete all the correct information that was cited due to one simple error which could have been corrected? Halfire101 (talk) 15:37, 10 February 2019 (UTC)
I thought the point of having a reference button to current pages was helpful? Should we not link other info to eachother when pages exist? Halfire101 (talk) 15:39, 10 February 2019 (UTC)
I removed no other information, other than the link to an obvious mirror. No, you should not be adding references that are not reliable sources. Please carefully evaluate your citations and ensure they meet the criteria at WP:RS. If you cannot do this, please do not add links - use the article's talk page to propose additions and others will assist. Thanks. Kuru (talk) 15:42, 10 February 2019 (UTC)

Mirrors

I hope I'm not coming off wrong but I'm still confused even when reading the mirrors section about your reference to it. So just to be clear, the mirror is because I linked to a current page on wikipedia correct? And that is frowned upon because (I'm guessing) on of my citations for that particular label was too similar to the wikipedia page? Halfire101 (talk) 17:09, 10 February 2019 (UTC)

You linked to a site that was an explicit and clearly self-identified copy of a Wikipedia article. We're fine with people copying our material, as long as they license it appropriately. You may not use that page as a reference, since it is a direct copy of a Wikipedia page. We cannot reference ourselves. Kuru (talk) 23:00, 10 February 2019 (UTC)

Why do you remove free knowledge resources?

Kuru,

the only links there now are the CPQ Podcast and the CPQ Circle Community which are both valuable, free knowledge resource. I would appreciate it it you would leave these as is. Why did you remove a free, knowledge-sharing link in the first place?

Emerati Company

Why did you delete the page? Mynameiskalam (talk) 16:21, 3 March 2019 (UTC)

It was pure spam. "proud to be a key player", "provides the best investment advisory services", "We make a thorough understanding of your objectives", "Keeping you frequently updated with the new market-trends" - just to start. You were given an opportunity to improve it in draft space, and your friend/co-worker decided to move it back out in to article space. Please do not add any additional promotional material to Wikipedia. Kuru (talk) 17:28, 3 March 2019 (UTC)

You removed a chunk of material recently added by me, on the ground that it is based on a mirror site. However, the site in question has additional information which is not from the Wikipedia article. It says, for example, that the subject excelled in art while studying in Modern School. It also gives the exact years she studied in the school. This seems to be independent information. I think the site draws on some other source which the Wikipedia editors also used. I request you to restore the deleted material. I will add more sources. Thanks! Amuk (talk) 18:20, 6 March 2019 (UTC)

To clarify, I am myself not satisfied with the source, and will add better sources. However, I need a little time. Perhaps it is better to keep the material with a Citation needed tag. Amuk (talk) 18:40, 6 March 2019 (UTC)
@Amuk: The material was in the article previously and excised since it was unsourced. The mirror copied the material at that time; it is in no way "independent information." I will not be adding unsourced personal information to a WP:BLP, and neither should you. Find the actual reliable sources, then add the material. Kuru (talk) 20:46, 6 March 2019 (UTC)

Mr Criminal wiki page?

what constitutes a difference on a page that has been deleted? I created a wikipage for the rapper Mr. criminal that was unfortunately deleted by you. I want to create the page for his fans and anyone wanting to know more of the rapper. So please explain to me what I have to do to get it posted under the official Wikipedia page/content. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mr.Anderson741 (talkcontribs) 20:38, 13 March 2019 (UTC)

In this instance, the page has been formally deleted twice before (here and here). Plenty of feedback in those discussions, but primarily it's a biography that is either completely unsourced, or the sources are unacceptable ("everipedia" and a random image). Additionally, the material is written like a cheesy press release. You can create a new draft, but it will likely be deleted again if it does not address the problems identified. Hello. Please stop removing my edits. I am doing this for a university project and I am trying my best and your reasons don't even make sense. There is barely any information on women in Geology and we are picking at the straws to try and revamp this page. And it's hard because I'm not going to let my mark suffer because you keep removing FACTUAL information from Lynne Frostick's page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Habeebah001 (talkcontribs) 03:45, 10 April 2019 (UTC)

I'm sympathetic with your intent. The primary issue is that you're using sources that copy Wikipedia. These sources do not meet our policy on reliable sources. Neither does the "Prabook" source; it is essentially an open wiki that explicitly disclaims reliability. @Ian (Wiki Ed): is there a better way to explain this - do you have some simplified primer you use to walk students through sourcing? Kuru (talk) 04:03, 10 April 2019 (UTC)

Thank you for being understanding. I was just stressed and did not mean to take it out on you. Than you so much and I ended up fixing the pages. Mirrors and bibliography

Hi Kuru, You sent me a message this morning about mirrors. I had been editing the page Batalla de Vukovar (https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batalla_de_Vukovar_) to add a book that I wrote about the War in Yugoslavia (I had been there from 1991 to 1993) and contributing to a few more citations about the battle as a eyewitness.

The wiki contributor called "Expósito" reverted all my contributions. I had been trying to contact him to ask the reasons but it looks like it's impossible to send a message or just talk. I read comments about this wiki contributor that revert edites from other contributions. In my opinion it's not fair, and I would like to contact him, because looks like is not clear and transparent to discuss the reverted contributions.

Have a nice wekeend Best

--Wiki-marshall (talk) 09:33, 13 April 2019 (UTC)

Howdy. My apologies, but each language's Wikipedia are run independently, with their own administrators and policies for editorial conduct. I can see that you made an edit there which replaced a link to the Spanish article for the Velepromet camp, with a link to your autobiography here on the english-language wikipedia. That's a really odd edit, and I can see why he removed it. You can start a conversation with him on his talk page at this link. Kuru (talk) 13:12, 13 April 2019 (UTC)

Definitions for WP:RS and WP:CIRCULAR?

In Guadeloupe you removed refs to http://www.newworldencyclopedia.org and replaced with "ref needed" per WP:RS. You've also been removing refs per WP:CIRCULAR. Can you point me to a resource that lists these so one might avoid using them in the first place? --Cornellier (talk) 00:09, 25 April 2019 (UTC)

@Cornellier:Certainly - there's an exhaustive alphabetical list that starts here. I'm not sure how usable that is since the vast majority of them are dead at this point. I keep a shorter list here that has the most frequently used ones. Kuru (talk) 00:27, 25 April 2019 (UTC)
Very handy thanks. Seems like the kind of work a bot should do. We should agree on a list of obvious mirrors / non-RS and let a bot replace with "ref required"s. I have a few hours a week for janitorial work, let me know if I can help. --Cornellier (talk) 01:42, 25 April 2019 (UTC)
Yeah, no doubt. We have a URL blacklist, but it's really for spam, not just junk sources. Some of those sites actually have good content too (they host public domain books as well as a Wikipedia mirror, for example), and bots are a little black and white. :) Kuru (talk) 01:57, 25 April 2019 (UTC)

Question about my page on Wiki

Hey. My page, which has been on Wikipedia for 3 days and has not been deleted, doesn’t want to be added to Google search. What could be the problem? Page: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/TheGrandIvan_Records

Can you advise? Konrad Wölki

Recently you correctly identified that I was using a copy of Wikipedia as a circular ref. On that article, I had used Google translate on the German-Wikipedia article De:Konrad Wölki, to begin the English article Konrad Wölki. The original sources which were used to write the German article have eluded me until tonight.

I found a copy of the source that must have been used to write the German Wikipedia article. It wasn't copied into Wikipedia word for word, but several parts seem very close to the original. Do you know of a tool to compare texts to see how close they are?

I can rewrite if necessary, but like the way it reads right now. If the texts are sufficiently different, I could use quotes, paraphrasing and attribution to clean it up.

Deletion of updates to Gundecha Brothers Wiki page

Hi. I added information on the musicians - "Gundecha Brothers" to their wiki page. They are leading Dhrupad musicians from India, and their page has been outdated for quite some time. I have been a full time student at their Gurukul since 6 years, and I updated their page. However in a few hours, you have deleted all the changes I made. Would like to know why, and what I need to do to restore the updates.

https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Gundecha_Brothers

Thanks S.sajan (talk) 08:57, 28 May 2019 (UTC) Sajan

I identified three problems in my edit summary. First, you used a clearly identified mirror as a reference (wikiwand); the material on that site is borrowed from here which makes it unsuitable as a cite. Second, much of the material was promotional and violated our neutral point-of-view policy. Statements like "resonant and exquisitely shaped for time and tension" and "incredible sense of vocal dynamic and fine pitch control" are not acceptable. Third, you cannot blatantly copy material from other sources. This violates our policy on copyright, and will very quickly lead to a block on your account. The updates cannot be restored without significant alteration. Kuru (talk) 10:58, 28 May 2019 (UTC)

Thanks for explaining these points. I've gone through the NPOV write-up, and will edit the content to clarify opinions as opinions with appropriate citations from media reports etc. Also, will use only external citations instead of wikiwand. Only some portions of the material were copied and these were picked up from previously written reports and documentation on past occasions for our internal purposes. I will make sure to rewrite them freshly for this purpose, and also cite the original documents wherever they exist.
Is there a way to allow me to view the version I had submitted? I am unable to see it now, and it would be very helpful to have that to work on the changes you have advised.
Thanks & Regards S.sajan (talk) 13:30, 28 May 2019 (UTC)S.sajan

Christine Ford citation

The sentence "On September 21, President Trump tweeted about Ford, saying that if Ford's allegations were true, either she or her parents would have reported them at the time of the event.[52]" is cited by the source (at the time of writing the 52nd) https://www.cnn.com/2018/09/20/politics/blasey-ford-family-statement/index.html this website. The Fortune magazine you referred to is sourced in the NEXT sentence; it's what Fortune magazine said about the tweet and also contains it. The source for the initial sentence has the wrong source as the cited page (and attached video) mention nothing about the tweet. Look at the source that the sentence "On September 21, President Trump tweeted about Ford, saying that if Ford's allegations were true, either she or her parents would have reported them at the time of the event." is citing, not "Fortune called the tweet an attempt "to undermine her allegation"". Incorrect Edits - West Virginia University College of Law

Hello Kuru,

Let me start off by saying I appreciate your willingness to edit various pages and your documented history of success on Wikipedia. I do have some concerns with the abrupt, seemingly haphazard editorial choices that were made.

I spent several hours researching and updating the Famous Alumni page, not so much as a promotional tool (though I do understand that seems to be a concern on the page and one of your proud, pet causes) - but as a public service of what current and former judges, scholars, and elected officials attended. Unfortunately, you deleted some of the entries altogether, including alumni who are former federal judges. In other instances, you incorrectly reverted titles of some of the entries back to their former titles.

By way of one example, I had updated Jon D. Levy's profile to say, "Judge, United States District Court for the District of Maine, and Former Justice, Maine Supreme Judicial Court." This is a more accurate portrayal of his current status. You chose, however, to revert the line back to his *former* title (as a Maine Supreme Court Justice) and without attributing he no longer serves in the post. Hence why I added the word *Former*. You may disagree on the value of adding the word former, but I think it adds a helpful disclaimer to readers that he no longer serves there.

It was just one of a few puzzling changes made. I do see you added new and sometimes additional citation sources, which is great! But even the update on Jon D. Levy (again, just one example) links to the Maine Supreme Judicial Court's webpage listing their current Justices which, of course, Judge Levy is not listed on because he is no longer serving there. See my point?

I would ask you to kindly and carefully review the edits I made and understand the time I put in to accurately reflect their current and correct titles. Even if you are unable or unwilling to review my edits that you went through, I strongly urge you to pay careful attention in the future.

Best, 157.182.253.217 (talk) 15:07, 12 July 2019 (UTC)J. A.

Hello - I'll admit I'm struggling to find the context of your issue above. As you've chosen to edit without an account, it is difficult to find which contributions are yours. I edited the article you mention in the title, West Virginia University College of Law, one time here to remove a reference to a clearly attributed mirror of Wikipedia, with no prejudice to re-adding a reliable source. I cannot seem to find where I've made the other edits you're questioning, but would be happy to review them if you could more specifically point to them. Kuru (talk) 15:47, 12 July 2019 (UTC)

Thanks (BrainwashersBackOff (talk) 14:37, 9 August 2019 (UTC))

I get it; just make sure that you don't use anything that identifies itself as a copy of Wikipedia. You can also use offline sources that conform our guidelines on reliable sources. Kuru (talk) 16:18, 9 August 2019 (UTC)

Edit filter 793

What do you think about adding a new number, 1-888-653-7229 to the scam # filter? Had a rash of these today from several IP ranges and named accounts. Examples: [3], [4], [5]. Thanks, OhNoitsJamie Talk 20:02, 20 August 2019 (UTC)

@Ohnoitsjamie: yeah, saw a run on that same number across airlines this morning. I've added it. Kuru (talk) 01:32, 21 August 2019 (UTC)
A couple more from here; 1-888-588-2434 and 888-589-1015. OhNoitsJamie Talk 17:15, 21 August 2019 (UTC)
Done. Looks like the filter caught a few with the 7229 number - blocked those /64's. Kuru (talk) 17:38, 21 August 2019 (UTC)
Yes, the filter is working great, just caught a few more. Thanks! OhNoitsJamie Talk 17:56, 21 August 2019 (UTC)

Already there - he's picked up that the filter only targets specific namespaces. Will see if I can fix that, but need to do so carefully. Kuru (talk) 17:31, 25 September 2019 (UTC)
Ah, that makes sense. You may have already figured this out, but I believe this is the motivation behind this treachery; they are trying to use Wikipedia's search prominence to get these numbers into voice/assistant search results. OhNoitsJamie Talk 18:04, 25 September 2019 (UTC)
New ones in mainspace. OhNoitsJamie Talk 06:02, 26 September 2019 (UTC)
I've added them. Ohnoitsjamie, adding the bare telephone numbers in the filter is easy, you don't have the abusefilter right enabled? --Dirk Beetstra T C 06:40, 26 September 2019 (UTC)
It doesn't appear that I have permissions to do that. Also, I was under the impression the #s were obfuscated, though it's not clear how. OhNoitsJamie Talk 12:52, 26 September 2019 (UTC)
Hi Kuru, looks like the filter needs some updates; see EBay. Any ideas what permissions I need to be able to edit it myself? OhNoitsJamie Talk 15:55, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
I added the edit filter manager to your permissions, so you should be able to see the filter and the code. This will complement your ability to delete the main page nicely. Kuru (talk) 03:47, 7 November 2019 (UTC)

Jorge Perez Evelyn

Dear Kuru: Regarding the "signature", everybody has one in their infobox. From Susana Gimenez to Dalida..why Evelyn cannot have one? ( it was taken from Jorge Perez Evelyn Site). ALSO: Jorge Perez Evelyn partner in life for almost 40 years is Rodolfo Valentin. Please do not remove that Rodolfo was his partner for almost 40 years! they live together since 1974 and he was Jorge hairstylist and partner in life. Currently in New York. when they settle in New York and Jorge no longer did Evelyn, they have two hair salons working together. If you see in Rodolfo Valentin Wikipedia there clearly shows the mention about their life together for 27 years... it was noted when Rodolfo Wikipedia was done 13 years ago...also please just search in google and you will find a lot of references..what happen is that in USA the reporters when writing articles about them they do not use Jorge they use "George"...

Please let the signature and the partner in the infobox. thank you !Ragazzodeitalia (talk) 00:30, 15 September 2019 (UTC)

I'm not sure if this is some kind of weird language barrier: you will need to provide a reliable source to add material to a biography of a living person. Just find a news article - it does not have to be in english. On the signature - those are the actual signatures of the subjects, not something you just typed in a cursive font! Please do not ever add forged material again; that's not helping. Kuru (talk) 00:35, 15 September 2019 (UTC)
Okay, you edited your comment after I replied. Use the NY Times one - that will suffice even if it's 20 years old. Kuru (talk) 00:54, 15 September 2019 (UTC)

historycooperative.org

Thanks for catching and cleaning up from what ASD0202 was doing!

There are about 43 links as https 1180 more as http. Is it worth triggering some bot to find in the archives or tag them? Also pinging GermanJoe who is in the process of cleaning up a bunch of them. DMacks (talk) 14:21, 15 September 2019 (UTC)

Probably. Looks like he's been un-archiving links to point to the hijacked domain. This is pretty suspicious, and I was looking into it, but will have limited time today. Kuru (talk) 14:25, 15 September 2019 (UTC)
I have no opinion about the "old" /journal and /btw links, these common usages should be discussed in the wider community (or just ignore them for now). But the recent additions are spam (often not even verifying their specific content or being redundant in lead sections). While some of the site's authors seem knowledgeable, without information about editorial policy and staff the domain in its current form is little more than a self-published blog and platform for guest authors. An occasional expert blog may be useful after careful assessment by uninvolved editors, but such sources should certainly not be spammed willy-nilly. GermanJoe (talk) 14:38, 15 September 2019 (UTC)
I was looking at this editor's links last night (I have to say that the domain does not seem to have been hijacked - i just checked and it's still working atm) BUT nearly all of the links are faulty in some way: misplaced (before punctuation), fail verification (don't backup the previous statement/s), are a case of WP:OVERCITE, the ref is in a place - like the LEAD - where it is redundant and not needed, his edit summary says "edited for tone" and that is an absolute LIE....etc., etc.
Another thing...the website is not in and of itself a reliable source and many of the articles...well, they kinda suck. They're chatty, they do not cite ANY sources, they're poorly-written. Plus I could not find out who/what historycooperative actually is, just that they're registered through an Australian domain-seller, and this is the coup-de-grace so far as I am concerned...just take a look at their "Contribute" page...they are soliciting unpaid articles from readers (I'd be interested to see if their articles are basically WP-mirrors) so are basically user-edited. So *BONUS*! - from looking over their articles last night I'd say their editorial control is nil to none. I think every one of these links should be mass-reverted, this editor is making a lot of unnecessary work for the rest of us.Shearonink (talk) 14:51, 15 September 2019 (UTC)
I should have been more clear. By hijacked, I mean the original reliable source let the domain expire. It has now been purchased or picked up by an un-related content farm that is just a skinned wordpress blog. I'm sure the tremendous number of existing backlinks is pretty profitable. I'd need to pin down the time the domain expired, but no objections to restoring the original archived links to around 2010 or so. Give this, it looks like the University of Illinois let it expire on 2012-12-07. Kuru (talk) 14:56, 15 September 2019 (UTC)
Ah, ok, that makes sense. But this particular editor is also adding these UN-WP:IRS as new content and not always replacing old/valid links with new/invalid links. Is there a bot that can be run to remove all of these links? I mean, if that is an ok thing to do... seems like there's just too much to do this all manually. Shearonink (talk) 15:42, 15 September 2019 (UTC)

Melinda Gates

You corrected my correction about the misinformation published about Melinda Gates. I'm not sure about the grounds for your claim that the position is "controversial". Yet the "fact" stated in the article is not a fact; Melinda's position is completely contrary to her claim of being "Catholic". How to add Catel's involvement to Aktion T4 page?

Hi, I am wondering what mechanism will be acceptable to note Werner Catel's early involvement in the killing of children on the Aktion T4 page? I note that both the page on Catel and the one on Child Euthanasia https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Child_euthanasia_in_Nazi_Germany note that he was involved in the first case which then led to Aktion T4 more generally.

As one of the physicians involved at the start, he seems he should be mentioned here.

I have tried noting this in the past, but that keeps being removed. PeterNSteinmetz (talk) 21:14, 2 October 2019 (UTC)

User talk:Sowoletoyin

I was looking at a dubious reference and long story short thought it would be more productive to look up the editor. It so happens that the user's other edits are also reference insertions. Randomly checking a few of them, I'm at this point not surprised to find that whichever haven't already been reverted are unrelated to the sentences they support. I commented on the user's page [8], though as you have done the same before I expect it won't be any use. Unfortunately they seem unaware of what a citation is; my best guess is they've been inserting whatever a search engine gave them when they encountered a "citation needed". I haven't followed up and reverted their other edits but it seems fair to assume that if any of the citations they added were correct, it would be by accident. Editing Question.

Hello Kuru,

I'm Azat, I started to remove 404 and unreachable pages couple of months ago.

Recently I edited this page: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Infographic and replaced unreachable page with a resource from more authoritative page (I think so because that page is mentioned as a source multiple times on Wikipedia), and also in that particular page it provides interactive content about Infographics History.

So you removed my edit with comment "does not support the material" in case when old resource was about the same thing and was unreachable.

Can you please explain me why so I could improve my contributions.

Best, Azat. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Azat Eloyan 1992 (talkcontribs) 08:19, 30 October 2019 (UTC)

I did not see anything that supported the very specific claims in that section of the article on that "infographic", nor did I see it as a particularly reliable source. Kuru (talk) 11:22, 30 October 2019 (UTC)

Sorry, but I do not understand, there is a whole section about infographics history on Wikipedia: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Infographic#History

And there is a source that is reliable enough to be in references on Wikipedia which provides interactive video content: https://venngage.com/blog/evolution-of-infographics/ (you need to scroll down to see the video) about the evolution of infographics which is highly related to this: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Infographic#History.

Besides that, there was a dead link from a not reliable source previously which I replaced. Please explain me why so I could be more confident in my contributions.

Thank for your comment. Best, Azat.

Sure, happy to help you. First, you've removed a link to reference that was not only dead, but likely not a reliable source. We both agree that was optimal. The material that needed sourcing was "In 1626, Christoph Scheiner published the Rosa Ursina sive Sol, a book that revealed his research about the rotation of the sun. Infographics appeared in the form of illustrations demonstrating the Sun's rotation patterns." You added a link to another blog, which simply contains the words "Scheiner's Tres Espitolae" and no other context. This link does not appear to be a reliable source - it's just another corporate blog, nor does it actually support the claim being made - it's a different work and it does not actually attempt to describe the material. Kuru (talk) 03:47, 31 October 2019 (UTC)

Got it, thank you very much for your message.

Hello Kuru, I'm here to ask you about my edit on the page of Roger Wheeler (businessman). I added some informations, including a section about his personal life (wife, children, etc.). It's just the source. That one does not meet our criteria for a reliable source; the material there is user-editable and scraped from other sites. I don't have any objections if you find something usable. Kuru (talk) 19:47, 26 November 2019 (UTC)

It feels like your first step would be to stop adding complete and utter promotional puffery like this: "It is creating an unparalleled education eco-system that draws the best emeralds from the cornucopia of our civilization." I'm having a difficult time taking your contributions in good faith with that drivel. Kuru (talk) 13:43, 27 November 2019 (UTC)

Sure, but that was cited from some articles I found online. Can I change that to something neutral and still use it as one of the citation? Vanshikasaini (talk) 05:18, 28 November 2019 (UTC)

No, it was plagiarized from the school's the "chairman's message," not "some article [you] found online". That is in no way a reliable, neutral, third-party source for that kind of drivel. That is one of dozens of silly examples in that material. Please do not attempt to edit again until you've made some effort to understand our fundamentals. Thanks. Damon Runyon's short story "Dancing Dan's Christmas" is a fun read if you have the time. Right from the start it extols the virtues of the hot Tom and Jerry

This hot Tom and Jerry is an old-time drink that is once used by one and all in this country to celebrate Christmas with, and in fact it is once so popular that many people think Christmas is invented only to furnish an excuse for hot Tom and Jerry, although of course this is by no means true.
