Mondinion Station is a station on the Baeticia Metro on the Rhybales line. Mondinion serves the residential neighbourhoods of Villa Mondinia, Gaxyloton, Balbania and Zythirganus. The station is within an arms reach of Mondinion Business University, Lastano Cricket Ground and Magna Morixiana Police Academy.
Mondinion Station is built atop an embankment rising 5.6m high. Rhestryeos Way runs underneath the station through a short underpass tunnel. Mondinion is one of the last stations on the Rhybales Line to made wheelchair accessible, with a lift system installed in late 1009 due to local pressure.
History
[edit]Mondinion Station was first built in 850 as a freight interchange station ferrying cargo trains between Haloucia and the Port of Baeticia. In 894, the third platform (modern day platform D) was converted for passenger use by the Intercity Autonomous Railways of Barzora (IRAB), consolidating its operations with the nascent Rhybales line.
The last documented freight train to dock in Mondinion station is 978 when the last factory moved out of Mondinion, ending the commune's status as an industrial town for good.
