Plot

SpongeBob wakes up on a normal day as usual and wants to spend time with his friends, however he ends up upsetting them. He nearly kills the mailman, accidentally breaks Gary's shell, crushes Patrick's cake, disturbs Squidward's sleep, ruins Sandy's robot and deep fries Mr Krabs' money. SpongeBob decides to leave Bikini Bottom, as all his friends are angry with him (and calling him "idiot boy"). As he leaves, he falls off a cliff and bumps his head, knocking him unconscious. Back in Bikini Bottom, Patrick and Sandy find a note from SpongeBob, explaining that he has left forever. Everybody is upset that SpongeBob is gone, with the exception of Squidward who is delighted.

Meanwhile, SpongeBob wakes up with amnesia. A couple of fish give him a new name, "CheeseHead BrownPants," so that they can steal his possessions. All SpongeBob has left is a bottle of bubble soap. He wanders around until he ends up in New Kelp City where he attempts to get a job. Each time he gets a job he uses his bubble blowing ability to help him, but this strikes fear into all the residents of the city. This activity attracts the attention of the Bubble Poppin' Boys and their leader (Ray Liotta) who have scared the city into never blowing bubbles. SpongeBob uses his ability to get rid of the gang and is rewarded by getting the position of mayor of New Kelp City.

Back in Bikini Bottom, Mr. Krabs is hoping for the return of SpongeBob so he can prepare Krabby Patties, while Patrick and Sandy want their friend back. Squidward does not seem to care until Mr. Krabs offers him a reward of a Fabergé egg. The trio see a newspaper stand showing news of SpongeBob's position as mayor, but when they go to New Kelp City to retrieve him, he cannot remember them. They then manage to kidnap SpongeBob and return him to the Krusty Krab, but he wants to return to New Kelp City. Squidward, who does not care if SpongeBob stays or not slips on a greasy spatula and accidentally throws his egg onto SpongeBob's head. The impact gives SpongeBob his memory back, but even so, SpongeBob still wants to return to his position as mayor. At that moment a news report comes on the television saying that the bubbles in New Kelp City are causing mayhem, and he is being threatened by a thug. Upon hearing this SpongeBob decides to stay in Bikini Bottom.

iCarly iGo to Japan

iCarly: iGo to Japan , also named Konnichiwa Carly in Canada, is a 2008 Nickelodeon film that premiered on November 8, 2008 on Nickelodeon. Konnichiwa Carly also premiered on YTV in Canada on Friday, November 21 during YTV's Big Fun Fridays. The TV Movie stars Miranda Cosgrove, Jennette McCurdy, Nathan Kress, and Jerry Trainor. This is the very first iCarly movie, and is 1 hr 30 minutes long.

Plot

It starts off with Carly and Sam swinging on swings, doing a Random Debate about legs and pudding. When they get downstairs, they get a V-mail from a British man, inviting them to compete in best comedy web show overseas. They accept the offer and find out that they are going to Japan. They review some of the web shows that are also competing. They don't care much for Henri and Oompe (a poodle puppet, or a "poopit" as Henri calls him), a show by a French man, but feel threatened by Kyoko and Yuki.

Spencer and Mrs. Benson tag along with iCarly and go to Japan. Spencer trades 3 first-class airplane tickets they got for 5 regular tickets. They ride an unsanitary, dangerous freighter bound for Korea and skydive from Freight Dog's airplane so they arrive in Japan arranged by Spencer's friend Socko. They stay at Hotel Nakamora, and Carly and Freddie check in.

Mrs. Benson, Carly, and Sam are trying to figure out how it would be when they go to sleep. In the middle of the night, someone knocks at the door. Carly answers the door and is greeted by Kyoko and Yuki.

Carly tells them that they just woke up. Kyoko and Yuki seem confused and explain that it's 3:00 in the afternoon. Kyoko and Yuki offer to take the kids shopping, because Carly told them that some of their luggage fell in the lake when Freight Dog threw it overboard. Spencer and Mrs. Benson are offered a seaweed massage.

At the spa, as Spencer and Mrs. Benson finish being wrapped for a seaweed massage, Kyoko and Yuki's cousins leave them. Spencer and Mrs. Benson then realize that they are trapped in seaweed and try to break through. Spencer recalls that seaweed is edible and manages to chew his way out of his own seaweed and uses a sword to chop Mrs. Benson out. He tries to escape through a vent, but fails. They scream and knock on the door when a disgruntled man opens it from the outside.

Carly, Sam, Freddie, Kyoko and Yuki were driving in the car. Yuki pretends to worry that they were lost. When Kyoko receives a text message explaining that Mrs. Benson and Spencer were trapped, he agrees that they should try to go back to the hotel. He parks in an isolated place and explains that they are 'out of gas'. The two become angry with each other and fight. After a while, Sam and Freddie break up the fight and Kyoko and Yuki apologetically offer them a gift. However, they end up getting in their van and drive away, leaving the kids alone. They start to walk in a random direction.

Mrs. Benson reveals to Spencer that she had a doctor in Venezuela implant a location chip in Freddie's head so she would never lose him. They get in a taxi and use a GPS to find Freddie, but Spencer ends up dropping the GPS outside. Later, Spencer recognizes the children and they drive out to them. The children are let in and they drive to the iWeb awards.

At the awards, they are blocked by a security guard. He does not understand English and doesn't allow the group through, beliving that they are not performers. Various tactics used to enter end up failing, until Mrs. Benson eventually distracts all the guards so that the rest can get in. The group is eventually found by another security guard and left in a utility room. Carly and Sam then try to act out everything that has happened to them in hopes that the guard will understand.

The iWeb awards have reached the comedy section, and Kyoko and Yuki are doing their skit. Freddie is watching and then realizes that he can plug his camcorder into some of the wires in the room. The main screen in the iWeb Awards stage shows Carly and Sam humorously reenacting their experiences in Japan. The audience loves it and the man who invited them eventually finds them. iCarly wins the iWeb Awards due to audience reaction and Kyoko and Yuki are arrested. The group then travels home, knowing that they don't want to go back on Freight Dog's plane.Spencer manages to get Socko to get them a boat, with no food on it. When the crew is hungry, Spencer then figures out he has candy he brought from Japan. Eventually, the crew then notices that it is soap from the hotel. The show then concludes.
