- Article is new enough and long enough, sufficiently sourced, and free of obvious plagiarism/copyvio. No image to review. QPQ checks out. The hook is backed up by the source (although the exact text wasn't given and I didn't read through the long document to find it) but personally I find it uninteresting, I'm sure lots of fossils are found in Oregon. What about highlighting the connection to fossils found in England? Something like ALT1: "... that the fossil tupelo Nyssa spatulata, described from seeds found in Oregon, matches fossils found in the London Clay?" Or something more scientifically accurate, this isn't my area of expertise. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 17:41, 24 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Ivanvector: I chose the hook i did, based on modern Tupelos are not native to the west coast of North America or Oregon, making it not something that one would expect to see there. The London clay fossils my not be related, per the source used, so I did not go with that as a hook.--Kevmin § 19:23, 24 February 2017 (UTC)
- Well that's somewhat more remarkable, then, thanks for clarifying. It would probably make the hook too long to make that clear inline, so endorsed as-is. Would you consider linking tupelo in the hook? Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 21:11, 24 February 2017 (UTC)
