List of Ops (B) staff

[edit]

Created/expanded by ErrantX (talk). Self nom at 10:35, 15 January 2013 (UTC)

  • Unfortunately this article does not qualify for DYK because it was created on December 26th and so is not new enough. It was expanded on January 10th but this did not even double it in size (2818 bytes to 5002 bytes). Cwmhiraeth (talk) 07:41, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
  • Article was moved to main space on 14 January. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 14:00, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
  • Aah..., my mistake. It is then both new enough and long enough. The first half of the hook is sourced from a book and is accepted in good faith. However, the hook needs revision as D-Day is not mentioned in the article. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 14:32, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
  • D-Day deception plans are indeed mentioned in the article... if you click the links :D But I put in a note to make it clear. --Errant (chat!) 11:57, 4 February 2013 (UTC)
  • I saw the mention of D-Day in the bibliography but I still find the hook problematical as the article does not specifically mention the brothers' major contributions to the D-Day deception planning (one might deduce a major role for Roger, but not for Cuthbert, from what you have written). What about one of these alternative hooks? Cwmhiraeth (talk) 19:18, 4 February 2013 (UTC)
  • Independent reviewer needed for ALT hooks. BlueMoonset (talk) 17:21, 10 February 2013 (UTC)
  • I reviewed and verified the cited sources for both ALT hooks, and it looks like they are both now good to go for inclusion in DYK. I have a preference for ALT2 due to its mention of Ops B's D-Day connection. -- Caponer (talk) 02:46, 11 February 2013 (UTC)
