Western Maryland Scenic Railroad 734 → Lake Superior & Ishpeming 734 – Per. Beconrase, convention for preserved individual locomotives is to use their main service, not preserved operator as evidenced by Category:Individual locomotives of the United States. A similar discussion is in progress for the page about Western Maryland Scenic Railroad 1309. Davidng913 (talk) 02:25, 15 May 2023 (UTC)
- There is no need to redirect this page as “Lake Superior and Ishpeming 734”. Not only does the “&” in the page title seem old fashioned, compared to “and”, but whether we like it or not, this particular locomotive is permanently masqueraded as Western Maryland 734. I would rather keep these pages named, out of respect for their current owners. If people wanna find out where these locomotives came from, that’s what the history sections are for. - Oppose, per above. The pages about the Strasburg locomotives remain as the only exceptions. Davidng913 (talk) 18:58, 15 May 2023 (UTC)
