[edit]There is a little notch in the boundary between Nunavut and the Northwest Territories. It would be nice, if someone knew why that notch is there, could explain it. Ducky 04:24, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
- Traditional land use. The boundary commission would have determined that the lake was being used more by people from Ulukhaktok, Northwest Territories than from Kugluktuk, Nunavut or Cambridge Bay, Nunavut. It also might have been to help compensate for the loss of access to other parts of the island and the mainland that are now part of Nunavut. But of course no sources. Why split it up?
[edit]If the citizens of Ulakhaktok are mostly Native People won't they want to be in the new territory of Nunavut?
- The Inuvialuit people of Ulukhaktok, Sachs Harbour and Paulatuk along with the Inuvialuit of Tuktoyaktuk, Inuvik and Aklavik all belong to the Inuvialuit Settlement Region and is a different land claims group than that covering the Inuit of Nunavut, see Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami. Size inconsistency
[edit]There is an inconsistency with the wikipedia list of islands by size - this article states that Victoria is larger than Great Britain, while List of islands by area lists Great Britain 7th, Honshu 8th and Victoria 9th. Neezes (talk) 09:53, 14 December 2014 (UTC)
- The list was changed and didn't match the source. I fixed it, here. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 17:29, 18 December 2014 (UTC)

– This seems to be the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for Victoria Island; this island has almost three times as many average pageviews as Victoria Island, Lagos, and more than twenty times the average pageviews of any other. It also seems confusing to have this page be titled "Victoria Island (Canada)" when there are other Victoria Islands (such as this one) that are in Canada as well. ModernDayTrilobite (talk) 14:54, 28 October 2021 (UTC)
- Comment I'm inclined to support, but nom should first at least link the mentioned pageview evidence. Dicklyon (talk) 04:01, 30 October 2021 (UTC)
- Here's a link to the pageviews; apologies for not linking it before, I'd had some trouble getting the formatting to work within the move-request template. ModernDayTrilobite (talk) 17:38, 30 October 2021 (UTC)
- Support It was at the undisabiguated title at one time. Reason it's at (Canada) is because it crosses two territories. It could have been (Arctic Ocean). CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 06:25, 30 October 2021 (UTC)
