NPOV language

[edit]

The sections on motion capture and graphics & technology use marketing-style language (as used in quoted statements) in the encylopedic content. Both sections flagged.. -MikeB 188.195.121.11 (talk) 20:46, 14 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I agreed and made some edits. Satisfactory? --Monere (talk) 18:54, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Reception --> Post-release

[edit]

Given that the game is still almost two months from public release, I do not believe there is cause to include such a section at this point in time. Consequently, I have removed it from the page. 125.237.26.48 (talk) 08:31, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Eurogamer controversy

[edit]

I think that we should touch upon the controversy amassed by the Eurogamer review. It received a fair amount of coverage, and the fan reaction was addressed by people such as David Jaffe and Adam Sessler. - New Age Retro Hippie (talk) (contributions) 23:42, 6 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

After looking into it, it seems the controversy is related to Confirmation bias which has covered by Patrick Klepek. It would be an interesting subject to include as it encompasses gaming journalism and gamer culture on a wide scale, with comparisons to mainstream media. This overview article by Kotaku refers to both Giant Bomb's Patrick Klepek's article and David Jaffe's article, it may be useful for reference purposes. http://kotaku.com/5853319/that-uncharted-3-review-everyones-talking-about --FLStyle (talk) 17:25, 7 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sales

[edit]

Sony has confirmed to IGN that the 3.8 million day one sales are indeed numbers sold, not shipped.

IGN was wrong, the same Sony confiremd to Gamasutra and Gameinformer that the number was SHIPPED [1][2]. There's no way that it sold 3.8 million in one day, considering that in November only sold 700,000 copies in the US and didn't even outsell Battlefield 3.--60.242.159.224 (talk) 17:02, 23 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Speculation & Grammar in Plot Section

[edit]

There's a lot of bad grammar and fanboy speculation in the Plot section. If someone could clean it up, it would be appreciated. 174.51.241.246 (talk) 00:21, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Submission for Good Article

[edit]

This article is huge and fits pretty much every requirement for Good Article, I request someone to please add it for ga review. I'm also thinking to add another section for gameplay and add a video of gameplay. WikiSilky (talk) 07:18, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@WikiSilky: If you're "thinking to add another section for gameplay", then the article is probably not ready for GA. Gameplay is largely unsourced, Plot is choppy and too long, Marketing (especially its subsections) are way too detailed and trivial, as is Release (especially the exhaustive DLC list), Reception (namely Reviews) is a messy and incoherent quote farm, and the Awards table needs plenty of work per WP:VG/AWARDS and MOS:ACCESS. This whole article needs a lot of work before GA is considered. Regardless, you should know that you can nominate an article for GA yourself, instead of requesting others to do it for you. – Rhain 07:49, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
