seems to be saying there's 4 international highways leaving Kazakhstan? Poorly explained...
[edit]I don't understand this from the Highways section. Specifically the second bullet point.
"
5 international road routes passes from Kazakhstan, totaling 23,000 kilometers. These highways are:
- M-36 Highway: Almaty - Astana - Kostanay (continues to Chelyabinsk)
- Almaty - Petropavl to Omsk with the release of
- M-38 Highway: Almaty - Semey - Pavlodar (continues to Omsk)
- M-39 Highway: Almaty - Shymkent (continues to Tashkent)
- M-32 Highway: Shymkent - Aktobe - Oral (continues to Samara)
"
It looks like text has been accidentally removed from either side of what's written, but I checked the history and it was originally written like that. I also tried to check on Google Maps to see which road passes from Almaty to Petropavl to Omsk, but it seems to just be a combination of the M-36 and the M-38, the latter being the actual route out of Kazakhstan. This would possibly suggest that there are only four international road routes passes from Kazakhstan. I don't really understand the whole thing though so I'm just flagging it for someone more knowledgeable to fix. Gul e (talk) 15:57, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
Railways
[edit]"The strategy of transport development in Kazakhstan until 2015 will be built 1600 km of new electrified and 2700 km of existing railway stations."
What on earth is this section trying to say? At present, it is gibberish! Skinsmoke (talk) 11:52, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
Terribly outdated
[edit]I tried to copyedit this article, but most of the information is outdated and probably incorrect at this point. In addition, it is sometimes unclear what idea the text is trying to get across. It needs to be re-written and expanded (by someone who speaks Kazakh &/or Russian?). Leschnei (talk) 13:16, 8 June 2016 (UTC)
