Improvements to the article

[edit]

Hello! I"m wanting to possibly promote the article to GA status, however I would like to know what specific improvements people think should be made to it first so that it isn't a waste of GA reviewer's time if the article is no where close to GA. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 21:10, 21 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I'm writing this to suggest the plot summary of this article might need some rewriting. There are some points in it that could be trimmed, and some sentances that could be combined.— User:TheRedCometKid Talk 9:22, 12 December 2024 (EST)

Christianity metaphor

[edit]

The marketing section is missing that the movie was explicitly marketed to evangelical pastors by WB as a preaching tool:

https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2004/12/is-the-polar-express-an-evangelical-film.html Not even Mr. Lister's Koromon survived intact. 20:04, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free to add it then. Being "retired" doesn't stop you from making WP:BOLD edits. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 20:14, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Songs

[edit]

Within the Plot section, can someone add the songs when they occur and who sings them. 2607:FB91:99A:870D:8CEA:6B21:7C66:BCD (talk) 15:21, 5 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hobo

[edit]

The hobo is almost identical to A-No.1 North Americas famous Hobo-Tramp. Watch Emperor of the North. 2601:8C0:702:8DC0:34A3:91E3:649A:9278 (talk) 17:14, 25 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

What/Where/How? Need more details on the change or addition you are suggesting. Also, are there sources discussing this "Hobo" connection? --GoneIn60 (talk) 18:31, 25 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Marketing->The Polar Express Experience: the last sentence of the first paragraph states “2015 was the final year of operation for the Polar Express Experience and Wild Arctic has since operated on a year-round schedule.” and should state ”2015 was the final year of operation for the Polar Express Experience and since then Wild Arctic operated on a year-round schedule until closing in 2020. ” Sources: Wild Arctic page, [1] 152.208.60.158 (talk) 10:08, 17 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sequel information

[edit]

For all the editors that keep adding this to the lead, please stop. This is an early development that may or may not ever see the light of day. Typically we wait until sequels enter production before we mention up in the lead. The same should be done here. If you disagree, discuss your concerns here. --GoneIn60 (talk) 22:02, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
