This page needs a section on Oblivion modding tools. 193.1.172.104 16:04, 9 December 2006 (UTC)Ludolud[reply]

Can somebody write about the Construction Set for Oblivion, and what improvements have been made (individual category for interiors etc.) and about the CS 1.2? 82.28.33.168 13:49, 06 May 2007

  • Added a few links to development tools which extend TES CS functionality. I also added an external link to the homepage of Tamriel Rebuilt, homepage of the biggest Elder Scrolls genre based project. It features a page which contains all the required development tools in addition to the Construction Set. Andrei Ristea 16:58, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

.ini changes

[edit]

"This approach comes with the disadvantage that players wishing to use these modifications must make changes to Morrowind's or Oblivion's ini file, either manually or through a third party program such as BSAreg." this is simply not true. (not with TES 3 at least) Ini changes are nessicairy for the running of Mods no mater how they were installed. THe name is added to the bottom of the .ini file if the mod is set to run. But this can be done (and is normally done) by using the inbuilt "Data files" tool, which is part of the start up process. What is the athour of this section going on about? --Oxinabox 03:31, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Add site which prevents crashes and bugs?

[edit]

I recently found this website: Prevent Crashes in Oblivion. It is an enormous list of ways to prevent bugs and crashes in TES4:Oblivion (I play this game myself and Oblivion does tend to crash excessively).

I was thinking that it should be added here. It would probably be a great help to most Oblivion gamers (it definetly helped me). What is everyone's opinion about adding this? 41.157.12.3 (talk) 13:26, 24 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You didn't "recently found" the site. You're the same person who keeps adding the site to the page despite being reverted three times. My guess is that you either deeply love the website or that you're somehow affiliated with it. The site is poorly crafted and isn't notable or popular. I don't see any reason to add it to the article. --Michaeldsuarez (talk) 20:47, 3 June 2009 (UTC)--Michaeldsuarez (talk) 20:47, 3 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

I've swapped the order of the external links. Struck me that having the CS Wiki first would help most, so I put them into the order in which they might be useful to a modder/someone wanting to use the CS or learn about it. I don't know what order to put the four mod sites into, so those were just placed alphabetically. 75.117.20.125 (talk) 22:11, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Skyrim compatibility?

[edit]

Would this work with Skyrim? If so it would be great to put that on here. He's Gone Mental 16:44, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Tamriel Rebuilt

[edit]

Shouldn't it be said that Tamriel Rebuilt doesn't rebuild Morrowind, it simply expands on it?Trevor1324 (talk) 16:25, 15 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Removed a bit of text

[edit]

I removed " The Skyrim Nexus is Skyrim's largest modding web-site, and the source for tens of thousands of mods." Due to it being, in my opinion, non-related, and promotional for a non-official website. — Preceding unsigned comment added by XargothTerran (talkcontribs) 22:22, 21 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oblivion?

[edit]

Don't agree on the Morrowind redirect. Proposition: This and the Creation_Engine page should be merged into something like Bethesda Game Editors so readers have a historical perspective of the programs. The page should have a brief overview of the ES Construction Set (and the GECK and Bethesda Creation Kit) with links to the various games covered. BTW the "official" wikis for TESIV are here, for Fallout III and NV here and for Skyrim and Fallout IV here.Lmstearn (talk) 05:52, 6 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
