Incorrect Listening Figures
[edit]This page contains incorrect listening figures. Can this be rectified to previous versions containing the correct figures. (Ferg+katie 09:39, 16 November 2007 (UTC))
- I hope to have sorted it, please reveiw the change here thanks. Tiddly-Tom 18:36, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
Infobox
[edit]The infobox describes Moyles as: "Moyles standing in front of the former BBC Radio 1 Logo". Why former? As far as I know it's the current Radio 1 logo...? If there are no objections I'll re-word it. Londonsista (talk) 19:08, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
It is the old logo; all the BBC national radio logos were changed, and the number on the Radio One logo had a serif added. Swaddon1903 (talk) 19:56, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Parodies
[edit]Should the section from the chris moyles bio page be moved to the show's page? They are very much a staple of the show and seeing as comedy dave writes quite a few of them, they seem as more of a team effort than an individual thing. 139.222.236.14 (talk) 17:48, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
Carpark Catchphrase
[edit]How does Chris Moyles guess the colour of the car correctly every single time? I mean, spot on. He got one the other day, where he said 'dark metalic purple' - he got it in one. Didn't need help at all. He must be Psychic. This should be in the article. Colt .55 (talk) 09:59, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
Oh really?! The producer's who prep the guests will ask the caller and tell Chris. A few weeks ago they made reference to it on the show when Chris guessed he got it wrong, and he said something along the lines of 'thats not what you told us off air' and the caller said she was in a friends car and forgot the colour! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mikebromfield (talk • contribs) 13:05, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
Podcast Comments
[edit]"The podcast that will be released on 24th June 2011 will be the final ever podcast, after that it will be known as the Chris Moyles Show Free Download." There's no citable source for this, in fact the download website suggests the opposite. Should we delete?--Jakobalewis (talk) 12:00, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
- They've discussed it on the podcast and show for the last few weeks. It's still called 'The Best of Chris Moyles' but the BBC want them to refer to it as a 'free download' as opposed to a 'podcast'. It refers to 'Free Download' on the show's website at the right hand side: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chrismoyles/ --AntL (talk) 14:51, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
"Song Truth" Game
[edit]A few weeks ago they started this feature on Wednesday mornings where each member of the team would submit a "Like this when everybody seems to hate it" track and a "Loathe it when everybody seems to love it" track. This went on for a few weeks, and then guests got involved (Zane, Fearne, Robbie Savage). I think it deserves a mention, but it doesn't seem to have been on in the last couple of weeks so where does it go? Has it been axed for good? Zacitty (talk) 21:38, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
- Was back this week with guest Huw Stephens. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.173.196.4 (talk) 17:38, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
Sirius
[edit]Should we delete this from the infobox, as Chris mentioned they would no longer be on Sirius? --JoePane (talk) 10:55, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
Agree, have done. --Jakobalewis (talk) 19:59, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
Recentism
[edit]There is a problem of recentism in this article, as many of the features of the show are things brought in at a particular time instead of present right from 2004, but they are stated in present tense as if having some eternal validity. The format section also lacks any references. Finally, I think this article ought to have more about the course of the show from the Chris Moyles article, such as listener figures, why it ended when it did, etc. If anything that kind of information is more relevant here than it is in that article, where just a summary should be given as a part of a discussion of Moyles' broader career. There is information missing from both articles though, such as why the show has been cancelled. See the question I've just asked over at Talk:Chris_Moyles#Reasons_for_leaving_R1_breakfast. Radio X
[edit]With The Chris Moyles Show returning now on Radio X, should this article include information about the new incarnation or could this perhaps go to a new article? --AntL (talk) 14:12, 13 September 2015 (UTC)
The Chris Moyles Show (Afternoons)
[edit]The main introduction states that "The Chris Moyles Show is the title given to two differing versions of a radio programme hosted by Chris Moyles, originally broadcast as The Radio 1 Breakfast Show from 5 January 2004 to 14 September 2012 before transferring three years later in September 2015 to the Global Radio-owned commercial radio station Radio X."
I can't remember enough about Moyles' 4am-6:30am slot to know whether it was called "The Chris Moyles Show" (it probably was, but I rarely worked between 4am and 6:30am in the 90s and early 2000s), but his afternoon drive time slot was definitely called "The Chris Moyles Show"
