Merge and naming
[edit]To say the least Tekken X Street Fighter and Street Fighter X Tekken needs to be one article instead of two separate articles. The question is which name? Right now, I'm seeing it named as both. –MuZemike 23:29, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
Well I look at this way. Id say keep it the way it is, because by 2012, they will both be 2 different names.--Dr. Pizza (talk) 08:40, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, I thought this was a naming issue; I didn't realize that two separate games were being made. Anyways, given that we have The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages as one article, wouldn't having two separate articles on this be a bit redundant? –MuZemike 14:49, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
- They're going to eventually be two radically different games, so I'd say no to a merger. Keep the two articles separate, especially since more info will be emerging pretty quickly on the games. There can be one big article for the whole Namco vs. Capcom series, if need be.
- We have Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 and SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos, and then one big page at SNK vs. Capcom, don't we? KirkCliff2 (talk) 17:01, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
- If the games were simply two different rosters and the same gameplay, I'd agree. Seeing as one uses the Namco engine and one Capcom engine, the reasoning behind the merger for The Legend of Zelda games was entirely same gameplay, similar stories which end up linking at the end(basically you'd have to buy both games to actually complete it), they even had same weaponry at some points in the Legend of Zelda games, and was developed by the same team and published by the same people. Not the case here, two different companies, different gameplay, but we have no idea on the story or character roster. Sincerely Subzerosmokerain (talk) 17:28, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
I've went ahead and withdrawn my merger proposal. This is just too weird; I suppose will see what happens :) –MuZemike 15:31, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
I'm confused.
[edit]In the infobox, it says Tekken X Street Fighter is coming out in 2013, when in the article, it says 2012. Which is right? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.83.181.0 (talk) 11:37, 5 November 2011 (UTC)
- Neither, there is no confirmed release date (day, month or year) and won't be for some time, the only confirmations are that the game exists and that it will feature Jin, Devil Jin, Ryu and Evil Ryu. The developers won't know themselves until they've put some work into it and as of May 2011, work hasn't even started. --FLStyle (talk) 17:30, 6 November 2011 (UTC)
Please refrain from adding characters until officially confirmed - No Original Research on Wikipedia
[edit]No matter how obvious it seems that a character will be in this game, no matter what teaser trailers are released that features familiar characteristics or clothing of a Street Fighter or Tekken character, they are not to be added until official confirmation. Any attempts to add any characters other than those that have been confirmed will be removed.
This is in compliance with Wikipedia's stance on users not posting Original Research, but facts that are of a Neutral Point of View and can be Verified by reliable, published sources.
Confirmed characters - Ryu, Evil Ryu, Jin, Devil Jin --FLStyle (talk) 17:50, 6 November 2011 (UTC)
External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Tekken X Street Fighter. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}}
