Talk:Tai Kamiya
move back to Tai Kamiya
[edit]It seems someone moved this article to Tai Yagami. Unless Fusion changes something, this article should be moved back to Tai Kamiya as that is the name used in the english dub. Magicksthefool (talk) 15:02, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
But I think Taichi Yagami is used more nowadays. VP Gerudo (talk) 13:03, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
Taichi Yagami is the original mane. The English dub is merely an adaptation. Leader Vladimir (talk) 14:55, 17 August 2021 (UTC)

Tai Yagami → Tai Kamiya – Wikipedia uses the english dub for every other page about digimon, so it's odd that this page was moved to use the japanese last name and not the dub last name. – Magicksthefool (talk) 13:34, 16 December 2015 (UTC)

- @Magicksthefool: Best discuss this move. digimon Anthony Appleyard (talk) 22:29, 16 December 2015 (UTC)
- Support the dub never used Yagami so unless either Fusion or the dub of the Adventure Tri series uses that surname there is no reason to use it here.--72.0.200.133 (talk) 14:53, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
Seriously, there is nothing contradicting this that is available in english, and wikipedia uses the dub for everything Digimon. Magicksthefool (talk) 17:47, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
- Also, even if we did use a Yagami it would have to be at Taichi Yagami since we are currently combining his dub given name and orignal surname, a combination no version of the show used. That being said Tai Kamiya is much better know to English language speakers.--174.91.187.180 (talk) 18:23, 19 December 2015 (UTC)

sectioning of anime
[edit]Role in anime should be subsectioned by the original television shows, the films, and then the newest "tri." series. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 00:42, 19 August 2017 (UTC)
- @AngusWOOF: I think it needs some rewriting considering how little is about his original manga and lacks information about Diaboromon Strikes Back.Tintor2 (talk) 01:05, 19 August 2017 (UTC)
