Togwon Station → Segil Station – Segil Station is NOT on Songdowon Line, but on Kangwon Line. It is obvious that Togwon Station, between Wonsan and Munchon Station, has been renamed into Segil Station per below:
- From recent map of railway in North Korea, you can find ⊙원산(Wonsan) at the center of the map and you can see that 세길(Segil) is between 문천(Munchon) and 원산. [1]
- From Kokubu, Hayato, 将軍様の鉄道 (Shōgun-sama no Tetsudō, published in 2007), it was 덕원(Togwon) [2]
- From the 2015 video at 11:33, you can see the sign on the platform saying 옥평(Ongpyong)-문천(Munchon)-세길(Segil). [3]
- According to 조선향토대백과, an encyclopedia co-written by South and North Korea, 덕원동(Togwon-dong) was renamed into 세길동(Segil-dong) in 1977. [4] 오모군 (talk) 20:33, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
- @오모군: Do you want to merge Togwon Station into Segil Station? What would we do with Segil Station? I wonder what the major contributor User:2Q thinks. Sawol (talk) 05:50, 3 May 2020 (UTC)
- According to Route map on Songdowon Line, so-called Segil Station is on the branch of Songdowon Line. However it is just VIP-only station [5] [6] without any name identified. Also I wonder whether Kokubu(2007) really wrote about Songdowŏn Line on his book on p. 90, as the book was published before Songdowŏn Line was opened officially. 오모군 (talk) 08:07, 3 May 2020 (UTC)
- I'm all for the move. 2Q (talk) 05:55, 4 May 2020 (UTC)
- @오모군 and 2Q: What should the current Segil Station (just VIP-only station) be moved to? Or, should be deleted? Sawol (talk) 06:07, 4 May 2020 (UTC)
- @오모군 and Sawol: "Segil-dong VIP station", perhaps, since we don't know the name, but we know it exists, its location, and its function, a descriptive pagename should do until we learn the actual name, if any. 2Q (talk) 17:40, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
- Well in kowiki, articles about VIP-only stations or industrial railways are deleted or merged into another articles. However I don't know how enwiki does about those articles. Despite that, I also wonder "Segil-dong VIP station" has a notability for an article as there are so many stations only for Kim dynasty that "Segil-dong VIP station" is just only one of them: [7] --오모군 (talk) 13:48, 10 May 2020 (UTC)
- However, "station" needs to be lowercase, per all previous RM discussions. Dicklyon (talk) 02:43, 23 May 2020 (UTC)
