Talk:Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2
Controversy?
[edit]The most controversial change, however, was a subtle one taken from the North American release of Super Mario Bros. 3: in the SNES version, if Fiery Mario or Caped Mario took a hit, he would revert to small Mario. In this version, Mario only reverts to Super Mario, giving the player an extra hit point and making the game easier.
This seems like an improvement to me. I've never liked it when I lost everything from one hit.
What?
[edit]It seems this page used to be a lot longer, and now entire sections are completely gone. What happened?.DJKingpin 07:06, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
Changing enemies
[edit]Koopa Troopa, Bullet Bill, and Piranha Plant also change after completing all levels, don't they? --82.207.190.217 12:25, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
Powerup system change = no
[edit]"*The game's power up system was changed (i.e. Fire Mario/Cape Mario reverts back to Super Mario if hit, unlike the SNES version, where Mario reverted back to Small Mario regardless of the power up)"
As I recall, this was not the case in the SNES version of Super Mario World. The only game that did this was Super Mario Bros, on NES. I removed this from the list of differences on the main page. --Oatmeal batman 06:05, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
