This article

[edit]

Should it even exist? All the sources, and the sections of this article mirror that, talk about the shaman in a specific game, rather than the role of the shaman in games in general. Does the shaman as a character class have any encyclopedic value, compared to classes like "healer" and "tank" that have specific conotations that are completely independant from the game in which the class appears? ~Mable (chat) 09:04, 19 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I actually agree. There's no overall analysis of the commonalities between these classes that just use the common term. Of course, any such analysis must be first done by outside sources and summarized here else we're dealing with WP:OR. But if there's no such analysis to be found, that speaks to the idea that there's no commonality and there's no need for a separate article at all oknazevad (talk) 12:51, 8 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestions

[edit]

Suggesting to update the page for World of Warcraft in it's current state. With the addition of allied races and new class combinations, the amount of opportunity for class/race combinations has increased substantially. In addition, I'd like to recommend updating the information with some key abilities to paint a picture to the readers of the class fantasy revolved around Shaman in World of Warcraft. - Gbadude64 02/21/2019 1:06pm PST
