Santa Cueva de Montserrat → Santa Cova de Montserrat – The text of the article already uses the Catalan form "Santa Cova", so the only place "Santa Cueva" appears is in the title. This is a location in Catalonia, where the native language is Catalan, and though Spanish is co-official, the standard policy on Wikipedia has been to use the Catalan form by default for place-names. This is particularly relevant on the mountain of Montserrat itself, which is a Catalan symbol and whose monastery, which administers the Santa Cova, is a center of Catalan identity. The main access to this place is via a funicular whose title is Santa Cova Funicular in English, Spanish, and Catalan on Wikipedia. In the articles for the mountain and monastery, only the funicular—and not the shrine itself—is mentioned, with both using the form "Santa Cova". Tourism guides produced for an English-speaking audience by the local governments and the Monastery itself also use the "Santa Cova" form. acomas (talk) 22:46, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
