Different versions of the multitap

[edit]

Was there an official Nintendo-made multitap? Or were they all thrid-party? All I've been able to find are third-party ones, most notably a Hudsonsoft 5-way splitter. Someone who knows anything about this, please add a section about the different versions. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by CBecker (talkcontribs) 12:43, 30 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

TribalTap

[edit]

It should probably be noted in this article that the TribalTap is a fraud product. It does not support five players, only four. neviksti has gone as far as to decap the chip to prove that it is physically impossible for this device to do as it claims. The extra port is simply a fake, most likely a marketing gimmick. List reworking

[edit]

So that nobody thinks less of the anonymous edit seen here: http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=SNES_Multitap&oldid=377581225 I will report now that the edit was mine. My browser logged me out before I submitted it. I used the reliable NSRT to help me compile this new list. The NHL games listed are the only ones that have multitap support, as odd as that is. I tested them all personally to confirm this. If you don't trust this, then please by all means test the games yourselves. The more people to verify these things, the better. C. V. Because of possibility of me erroring (and maybe even errors in the emulators I tried *cough*), I've put some games back on until I can test them more deeply. One person isn't a mountain. Ideally, each game should be tested multiple times. I definitely must retest the NHL games. C. V.
