Run the World (song) → Run the World – Run the World is currently a dab page consisting of three different songs. "Run the World", "Run the World (Girls)" and "Everybody Wants to Run the World". A dab page is completely unnecessary as only one of these songs are called "Run the World", the rest just have similarities in titles. — Statυs (talk, contribs) 14:51, 20 January 2013 (UTC)
- Support I agree. — ΛΧΣ21 03:21, 6 February 2013 (UTC)
- Support. There are really only two arguable matches, since a reader might mistake "(Girls)" for a disambiguator, but this is still a situation that can easily be handled with a hatnote. bd2412 T 17:55, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
- Support on the face of it this could be resolved with {{not to be confused}} — Lil_℧niquℇ №1 [talk] 18:27, 8 February 2013 (UTC)

Requested move 16 June 2016
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: Not moved. Original intent was to bring the other song to this title. Oppose votes on song title differences have not been countered. (non-admin closure) — Andy W. (talk · ctb) 01:02, 24 June 2016 (UTC)
Run the World → Run the World (Jennifer Lopez song) – The Beyoncé song Run the World (Girls) is likely to be the desired topic of readers searching for "run the world". On top of the fact Beyoncé's song is certified Gold and (Multi-)Platinum in several countries, and the Jennifer Lopez song is a random album track that arguably doesn't even meet Wikipedia's notability standards (another discussion for another day), the Lopez song article receives very low traffic. It receives on average 9 views a day, compared to 420 for the Beyoncé song (link) (Can't get the link to work without using a ref: apologies.) "Run the World" should redirect to Run the World (Girls), and the Jennifer Lopez song article needs to have a disambiguated title.
I boldly moved the article yesterday, due to the previous RM taking place 3 years ago, attracting comments from only a small handful of editors, and focusing more on getting rid of a disambiguation page than whether or not a song is a primary topic or not. However, I was reverted by SSTflyer who did not even object to the move, but solely because of the previous RM. A little bureaucratic if you ask me, but in any case now we're here. - Oppose, the other song is "Run the World (Girls)," not "Run the World." As this is the only thing known as "Run the World," disambiguation here is unnecessary. We have a hatnote in place for those looking for the Beyonce song. -- Tavix (talk) 00:54, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
- Weak Oppose per Tavix. It's true that most search results for "run the world about the Beyoncé song, but that song is almost never known as just "Run the World". SSTflyer 08:34, 22 June 2016 (UTC)

Redirected
[edit]This song didn't chart and does not pass WP:GNG so have redirected it to the Album. AIRcorn (talk) 20:23, 2 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Richhoncho: Being a good article does not confer any special protection on an article and it can be merged, redirected, deleted, stubified, tagged etc like any other one. If you believe this article is notable enough for its own article let me know and I will start an AFD. AIRcorn (talk) 22:57, 2 April 2018 (UTC)
- Take it to AFD, by all means, if you so wish, community consensus would be preferable. I do assume good faith insomuch that those that reviewed the article for GA were aware of WP:NSONGS and WP:GNG. --Richhoncho (talk) 23:04, 2 April 2018 (UTC)
- I see it went there before, but most of those were just a votes so I will give it a crack. Good Articles are not concerned with notability (see Wikipedia:What the Good article criteria are not#Beyond the scope). AIRcorn (talk) 23:22, 2 April 2018 (UTC)
